Abstract

Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh rendahnya hasil belajar matematika siswa. Berdasarkan hasil observasi dan wawancara yang dilakukan kepada siswa dan guru diperoleh bahwa kecemasan matematika siswa yang tinggi dan self regulated learning yang rendah menjadi salh satu penyebab rendahnya hasil belajar matematika siswa. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui pengaruh kecemasan matematika dan self regulated learning terhadap hasil belajar. Jenis penelitian ini adalah penelitian korelasional. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah seluruh siswa kelas VIII MTsN Agam. Sampel penelitian berjumlah 35 orang siswa. Yang diambil dengan teknik cluster random sampling. Data analisis menngunakan teknik analisis regresi berganda. Hasil penelitian diperoleh persamaan regresi kecemasan matematika terhadap hasil belajar matematika yaitu Y= 2,244 + 0,736X1. Berdasarkan uji kebermaknaan regresi diperoleh thitung = 4,877 > ttabel = 1,69., serta nilai koefisien korelasi rx1y = 0,647 dan koefisien Determinan sebesar KD = 41,861%. Persamaan regresi self regulated learning terhadap hasil belajar matematika diperoleh Y = 12,686 +0,395X2. Berdasarkan uji kebermaknaan regresi diperoleh thitung = 4,722 > ttabel 1,69, serta nilai koefisien korelasi rx2y = 0,635 dengan koefisien determinan sebesar KD = 40,322%. Persamaan regresi berganda yang diperoleh Y = 3,434 + 0,528X1+ 0,277X2. Berdasarkan uji kebermaknaan regresi berganda diperoleh Fhitung = 22,369 > Ftabel 3,29, serta nilai koefisien korelasi rx1x1y = 0,583 dengan koefisien determinan sebesar KD = 33,989%. Disimpulkan bahwa terdapat pengaruh kecemasan matematika dan self regulated learning secara silmultan terhadap hasil belajar matematika siswa kelas VIII MTsN 3 Agam.

Abstract

Ethnomathematics in mathematics learning is becoming a trend in Indonesia. Learning mathematics with ethnomathematics is nothing but introducing and learning mathematical concepts through local culture. This research belongs to qualitative research with an ethnographic approach. The purpose of this research is to explore the mathematical concepts found in batik tanah like (clay soil batik). Data in this study were collected by observation, documentation and interviews. Data analysis was carried out with the steps of data reduction, presentation, interpretation, and exposure. The result of this research is that in the motifs of batik tanah "liek" many geometry concepts are found such as: point, line, curved line, parallel line, triangle, rectangle, square, circle, angle, opposite angle, symmetry and kesebangunan. Different motifs have different geometry concepts. The findings of geometry concepts in batik tanah "liek" can be used as a learning resource in learning mathematics. Using learning resources that are in accordance with student culture can make learning meaningful and can increase love for local culture.

Abstract

Eduwisata jam gadang park, is a historic and interesting tourist spot, especially its beauty. Jam gadang park is one of the eduwisata found in the city of Bukittinggi. In addition to enjoying its beauty, this eduwisata can be used as a learning resource for students, especially elementary school students in the city of Bukittinggi. The purpose of this study was to explore the mathematical concepts that exist in the edu-tourism park jam gadang and then used as a learning resource for elementary school students. This type of research is qualitative with an ethnographic approach. Data were obtained by researchers through observation, interviews and documentation. The results of the exploration of the mathematical concepts of eduwisata taman jam gadang include; the concept of circle, square, rectangle, triangle, rhombus, clock number, and purchase price, selling price, profit and loss (social arithmetic). The mathematical concepts in this edu-tourism park can be used by teachers as a source of learning mathematics for elementary school students. The use of eduwisata jam gadang park as a learning resource can foster students' love of mathematics and local culture.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan dilaksanakan untuk mengatahui kemampuan pemahaman konsep matematika siswa ditinjau berdasarkan gaya belajar Honey Mumford kelas IX-8 di MTsN 3 Lima Puluh Kota. Jenis penelitian deskriptif kualitatif. dengan subjek seluruh siswa kelas IX-8 MTsN 3 Lima Puluh Kota sebanyak 30 orang siswa. Sampel yang di ambil dengan purposive sampling. Data yang dikumpulkan adalah hasil dari pengisian angket gaya belajar Honey Mumford dan tes pemahaman konsep matematika siswa oleh responden. Berdasarkan analisis hasil penelitian dapat disimpulkan bahwa : 1) Gaya belajar tipe teoris dalam memahami pemahaman konsep matematika bisa dikatakan rendah karena pada indikator 5 dan 7 yaitu mengembangkan syarat perlu atau syarat cukup suatu konsep dan mengaplikasikan konsep atau algoritma pemecahan masalah terjadi kesalahan dalam menguraikan rumus yang digunakan. 2) Gaya belajar tipe pragmatis cenderung menyukai cara-cara yang praktis dalam belajar,sehingga cenderung melakukan kesalahan pada indikator 5 dan 7 karena membutuhkan penyelesaian yang cukup panjang dan tepat. 3) Gaya belajar tipe aktivis memiliki karakteristik belajar dengan mempraktekkan secara langsung, sehingga pada kemampuan pemahaman konsep, siswa tersebut melakukan kesalahan dalam menggunakan, memanfaatkan, dan memilih prosedur atau operasi tertentu pada bangun ruang sisi lengkung. 4) Gaya belajar tipe reflektor cenderung melakukan pengamatan terlebih dahulu dalam belajar, sehingga kesalahan yang dilakukan hanya pada yang ditanya dalam soal dan kurangnya percaya diri.

Abstract

This is motivated by the fact that there is no learning media based on Minangkabau culture in learning mathematics. This study aims to determine the validity, practicality and effectiveness of ethnomathematics-based Student Worksheets (LKPD) in Minangkabau culture on the material of congruence and congruence. The type of research used is Research & Development (R & D). The LKPD was developed based on the Plomp and Nieveen Model with 3 phases, namely: 1) preliminary research, 2) development or prototyping phase and 3) assessment phase. The formative valuations such as: self evaluation, expert review, one to one evaluation, small group and field tests, carried out in an integrated manner during the design phase. Data was collected through interviews, validation sheets, questionnaires and tests. The results showed: 1) Ethnomatematics-based LKPD validity obtained a percentage of 92% with a very valid category, 2) Practicality of LKPD in one to evaluation obtained a percentage of 90% with a very practical category, in the small group obtained a percentage of 95% with a very practical category. 3) The effectiveness of student worksheets seen from the results of students' mathematics learning, obtained student mastery of 86.7% with very effective criteria. The developed LKPD can be used in learning mathematics. Learning by involving Minangkabau culture can improve learning outcomes and develop and build student character. Based on the results of this study, educators are expected to develop teaching materials that are associated with local culture or the culture where students live. Once developed, then used in learning mathematics.

Abstract

Kemampuan pemecahan masalah (KPM) harus dimiliki oleh siswa dalam pembelajaran matematika. KPM mengutamakan proses berpikir pada siswa. Indikator KPM yang digunakan adalah indikator KPM berdasarkan strategi Polya. Tujuan penelitian untuk menganalisis KPM siswa melalui soal HOTS matematika terintegrasi nilai-nilai Islami pada siswa SMP Negeri 8 Bukittinggi. Jenis penelitian ini adalah deskriptif kualitatif. Hasil yang didapatkan menunjukan bahwa dari hasil tes yang dilakukan siswa rata-rata skor persoal kurang dari 50%. Sedangkan untuk rata-rata kategori penilaian hasil tes siswa adalah 40% (baik), 20% (Cukup Baik), dan 40% (kurang baik). Hal ini menunjukan masih rendahnya KPM matematika pada siswa kelas VII.1 di SMP Negeri 8 Bukittinggi sehingga perlunya ditingkatkan kembali KPM pada siswa di SMP Negeri 8 Bukittinggi.

Abstract

Mathematics learning activities continue to evolve. One of these developments is the practice of learning mathematics that is integrated with Islam. This is inseparable from the goal that mathematics not only fosters intellectual values, but can also express spiritual values in students. The purpose of this study is to determine the effect of Islamic integrated mathematics learning on student learning motivation. This research uses the literature review method and the sample is journals that have been published from 2014-2023 totalling 49 articles. The results of this study found that: 1) The research trend of Islamic integrated mathematics learning in increasing student learning motivation from year to year is increasing, 2) The research subjects that are often used in research are many at the MA / SMA level, which is 40%, 3) The type of research used in the article is literature review and qualitative, 4) The effect of Islamic integrated mathematics learning on increasing student learning motivation is very good. Educators are expected to implement Islamic integrated learning in mathematics classes.

Abstract

This study aimed to discover and investigate the mathematical concepts present in muna Mbojo (Bima weaving). This study was an ethnographic research, and employed a descriptive approach. This study's information was derived from observations and document reviews of Bima woven fabrics.  The data was obtained using documentation by collecting the types or motifs of Bima weaving. Subsequently, in-depth observationswere conducted on the collected weaving. The data was analysed through reduction, presentation, and verification/conclusion. The results of the study found by the researchers namely: 1) bali motif (line motif) discovered mathematical concepts, including lines, rectangles, squares, and parallels; 2) wunta motif (flower motif) discovered mathematical concepts, including lines, sigsag lines/curves, angles, triangles, rhombuses, circles, alignments, symmetrical, translation/shifts, and reflections; and 3) kakando motif (bamboo shoots motif). Bima weaving is rich in motifs, weaving motifs that are generally produced by Bima people are bali motifs (lines), wunta motifs (flowers), and kakando motifs (bamboo shoots). In these motifs many mathematical concepts are found such as line, zigzag/curved line, angle, rectangle, square, triangle, rhombus, circle, alignment, symmetry, translation/shift, and mirroring. These mathematical concepts found in Bima weaving can be used by teachers to help or facilitate elementary school students in learning and understanding mathematical concepts. Learning mathematics will be more meaningful if teachers are able to involve students' culture in constructing their knowledge in the learning process.

Abstract

Micro teaching is a compulsory course that must be taken by prospective mathematics teacher students of UIN Bukittinggi. Micro teaching courses train the basic teaching skills of prospective mathematics teachers. One of the lessons that is trained to prospective mathematics teacher students is Islamic integration mathematics learning. The purpose of this study is to describe the perspectives of prospective mathematics teacher students on Islamic integration mathematics teaching that students have practised. This research is a descriptive study with the research subjects are UIN Bukittinggi students who take micro teaching in the sixth semester totalling eleven students. Data were collected using a questionnaire that uses a 1-4 scale. The analysis was carried out using the average formula and then matched against the assessment criteria table. The results of this study are prospective mathematics teacher students have a very good perspective on Islamic integration mathematics learning that has been trained. Islamic integrated mathematics learning is very good in motivating and useful, new learning, interesting, challenging, useful, makes it easier for students to understand mathematical concepts and can add insight to students related to Islamic knowledge.

Abstract

This research is motivated by learning mathematics, students experiencing difficulties in answering the questions given. There are still many students who do not have the courage to appear in front of the class. Many students do not believe in their abilities. The lack of students' creative thinking abilities and students' willingness to take mathematics subjects means that many students only focus on the examples that have been taught, so that when faced with different problems, students are unable to solve these problems. To solve this problem, research was carried out with the aim of revealing mathematical creative thinking abilities. The type of research used is descriptive qualitative. The instrument used is a creative thinking ability test with 2 questions. Interviews were conducted to explore students' creative thinking abilities in solving problems. The research subjects consisted of 3 students, namely 1 student in the high category, 1 student in the medium category and 1 student in the low category, and was carried out in class VII.2 MTsS Darul Makmur Sungai Cubadak. Based on the research results, it was found that overall students. Students with high abilities also have high creative thinking abilities, students with medium abilities also have sufficient creative thinking abilities, and students with low abilities also have low creative thinking abilities.
