Abstract

This study aims to explore the influence of employee training and competence on performance, both directly and through the role of work discipline as a mediating variable. This study is based on the problem of employee performance which has not met the expected target, characterized by a lack of work discipline and low efficiency in completing tasks. This study involved 56 respondents and used a quantitative method with a descriptive approach. Data were collected through questionnaires, and analysis was carried out using Structural Equation Modeling-Partial Least Square (SEM-PLS) with the WarpPLS program. The results showed that training had an effect on employee work discipline and performance. Employee competence also had an effect on employee work discipline and performance. Work discipline as a mediating variable showed an indirect effect on performance, although its contribution was smaller than the direct effect of employee training and competence. The total effect of training on performance was 0.745, while the total effect of competence was 0.372. The implication of this study is the importance of organizations to improve relevant and sustainable training and develop employee competence development programs. Work discipline also needs to be strengthened through policies that encourage an organized work culture, such as providing incentives and effective supervision. With this strategy, it is expected that employee performance can be improved and organizational targets can be achieved optimally.

Abstract

UMKM in Jember have a strategic role in the local economy, but face challenges in competition in the digital era. This research analyzes the digital marketing strategies implemented by UMKM in Jember as well as the obstacles and opportunities they face. Using qualitative descriptive methods, data was collected through observation, interviews and documentation. The research results show that UMKM in Jember are starting to utilize social media such as Instagram and TikTok, as well as marketplaces such as Shopee and Tokopedia to expand their market reach. However, the main challenges faced include low digital literacy, limited capital, intense competition on digital platforms, and changes in social media algorithms. To overcome this obstacle, UMKM implement adaptation strategies such as digital marketing training, collaboration with micro-influencers, and marketing diversification between online and offline. This study concludes that digital marketing can increase the competitiveness of UMKM, but it needs support from the government and the business community to ensure its sustainability and effectiveness.

Abstract

Background: Lack of knowledge about the use of HPV vaccine in women of productive age can result in cervical cancer. This study aims to determine the effect of the Health Belief Model application on the predictor of HPV vaccine uptake in women of reproductive age. Subjects and Method: Systematic review and meta-analyses were conducted using PRISMA guidelines and PICO model including: Population = women of reproductive age; Intervention= high perceived benefits, high perceived severity, high perceived susceptibility; Comparison= low perceived benefits, low perceived severity, low perceived susceptibility; Outcome= HPV vaccine uptake. Articles were collected from databases such as PubMed, Science Direct, and Google Scholar. The keywords used in the database search were "Health Belief Model" AND "Human Papilloma Virus" OR "HPV" AND "Women" AND "cross sectional study". A total of 7 articles met the inclusion criteria, namely full-text primary paper, cross-sectional study design, with a measure of association was the Odds Ratio (OR), the study subjects were women of reproductive age, interventions were in the form of high perceived benefits, high perceived severity, high perceived vulnerability, and the outcome was in the form of HPV vaccine use. They were subsequently assessed for meta-analysis using RevMan 5.3. Results: Meta-analysis from Indonesia, Ethiopia, the United Kingdom, Japan, Romania, Spain, and Italy showed that high perceived benefits of HPV vaccine use (aOR= 1.81; 95% CI= 1.00 to 3.26; p= 0.050), high perceived severity (aOR= 1.78; 95% CI= 0.94 to 3.40; p= 0.080), and high perceived susceptibility (aOR= 1.70; CI 95%= 0.75 to 3.83; p= 0. 200) increased the likelihood of HPV vaccine uptake. Conclusion: High perceived benefits, high perceived severity, and high perceived susceptibility have the likelihood of women of productive age to use HPV vaccine

Abstract

With the development of information technology, the need for fast information becomes crucial for government attention. The formation of the Community Information Group (KIM) is a solution to increase public knowledge. This study aims to determine and analyze the influence and support of the organization on the performance of the management of the Community Information Group (KIM) in Jember Regency through affective commitment. This study uses descriptive and verification methods with a quantitative approach. The research sample was 168 respondents selected using purposive sampling techniques from a total population of 672 KIM managers. Data was collected through questionnaires, observations, documentation, and interviews. Data were analyzed using the Structural Equation Model (SEM) with the WarpPLS 8.0 program. The results showed that the minimum work and organizational support significantly affected KIM members' performance and affective commitment. Work flexibility allows members to manage their time and work methods more efficiently, increasing productivity and emotional commitment to the organization. Organizational support improves performance by providing the necessary resources and strengthening members' emotional ties to common goals. Both factors, both directly and through affective commitment, encourage KIM members to work optimally and effectively. The practical implications of this study emphasize the importance of implementing more adaptive work policies to increase alertness and strengthen organizational support through adequate training, resource provision, and rewards. This will create a supportive and empowering work environment, resulting in members who are not only high performers but also have loyalty and dedication to achieving common goals.

Abstract

The study explored the impact of financial technology (FinTech) on family financial planning (FFP) among young families in Indonesia, with a focus on Personal Saving Orientation (PSO) as a moderating variable. Financial technology has significantly transformed personal financial management, enabling better access to tools for budgeting, tracking, and saving. However, its direct impact on FFP remains underexplored, especially in developing countries like Indonesia. This research aims to analyze the role of FinTech in shaping financial behaviors and examine PSO moderating influence on the relationship between FinTech adoption and FFP. The study employed a quantitative approach using Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) to analyze data collected from 217 young families. The variables examined include PSO, FinTech adoption, and FFP. The findings reveal that FinTech positively impacts PSO (estimate = 0.799, p-value = 0.000), highlighting its role in improving financial habits and saving behaviors. While the direct relationship between FinTech and FFP is not significant (p-value > 0.05), PSO effectively enhances FinTech influence on FFP, emphasizing its critical role as a moderating factor. This study underscores the importance of integrating PSO into financial strategies to optimize the benefits of FinTech, particularly for young families. These findings provide practical insights for FinTech developers to design tools that promote saving behaviors and for policymakers to encourage financial literacy and inclusion. By aligning with Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), this research contributes to poverty reduction, economic stability, and financial well-being.
