Abstract

Palm fronds waste have a carbon content of 81.25%, which is quite high, making them suitable for use as activated carbon adsorbents that are beneficial for anticipating or minimizing the occurrence of Cu2+ ion pollution in the environment. This research aims to analyze the effect of contact time and mass of palm fronds activated carbon adsorbent on the adsorption of Cu2+ ions, the adsorption capacity of the palm fronds activated carbon adsorbent, and the effectiveness of the palm fronds activated carbon adsorbent in adsorbing Cu2+ ions. The research stages began with preparing palm frond samples with a size of (-80/+100) mesh, which was then activated with H3PO4 and 3M HCl for 24 hours. Based on the results, the best adsorbent characteristics used H3PO4 as the activator. The adsorption process was carried out with mass variations (10, 15, 20) g, contact times of (30, 60, 90, 120) minutes with a stirring speed of 90 rpm, and an adsorbate concentration of copper ions (Cu2+) of 10 mg/L. The optimal adsorption capacity obtained with the H3PO4 activator was at a contact time of 90 minutes with an adsorbent mass of 10 g, amounting to 0.965 mg/g. The highest adsorption effectiveness was found at a contact time of 90 minutes with an adsorbent amount of 20 g of palm frond activated carbon, which was 99.76%.

Abstract

Abstract

The competence of educational staff in information technology is essential to finishing a job at a university. Good information technology competence can help them complete the work faster and more effectively. This study investigates the influence of communication competence and education level on work productivity at Sebelas Maret University. Two hundred ten respondents were involved, consisting of 125 male and 85 female staff. Pearson correlation is used for validation, and Cronbach's alpha is used for reliability tests. All items are valid and reliable (α =.05.) The data were analyzed using multiple linear regressions. The result shows that simultaneously, the two independent variables have a significant effect on the dependent variable (F = 9.63, p <.05). Information technology competence has a significant effect on work productivity (t = 4.64, p <.05). Education level has a significant effect on work productivity (t = 2.48, p <.05). Generally, it can be concluded that the information technology competence and educational level of staff affect work productivity.

Abstract

Village law no. 6 of 2014 is a trigger for villages to develop villages. Villages are given flexibility in developing the widest possible potential of the village. The village is trying to become a digital village, but there is no foundation architecture yet. Many villages are trying to develop information systems without creating an enterprise architecture first. In developing enterprise architecture, a framework is needed. The most suitable framework in the development of enterprise architecture is The Open Group Architecture Foundation (TOGAF). TOGAF can be used to build enterprise architecture in the village. Digital Village Enterprise Architecture that has been developed includes Business Architecture, Data Architecture, Application Architecture, Technology Architecture. Core business architecture is related to administrative services, complaints services, extension services, BUMDES and asset rental. The architecture application consists of 68 types of administration services, complaint applications, extension module applications, BUMDES applications and asset rentals. The data architecture is built according to integrated data modelling. As for architechture technology, it can be divided into two, namely backend technology and frontend technology.
