Abstract

Developing communicative competence in under-resourced classrooms remains a persistent challenge for English as a Foreign Language (EFL) teachers. Grounded in Dual-Coding and Multimedia-Learning theories, this study investigated the impact of cue-card scaffolding on the speaking performance of Grade-8 students at a remote junior-high school in Central Sulawesi, Indonesia. Using a pre-experimental one-group pre-test–post-test design, 21 students completed a baseline oral test, participated in seven 80-minute lessons that progressed from image-only cards to situational grids, and sat for an equivalent post-test. Performances were rated with a four-category analytic rubric (fluency, vocabulary, grammar, pronunciation) by two trained raters (α = .89; r = .91). Mean scores improved from 46.14 to 59.14, yielding a mean gain of 13 points and a large practical effect (Cohen’s d = 1.40). A paired-samples t test showed the improvement was statistically significant (t = 9.92, df = 20, p < .001). Score dispersion narrowed, indicating benefits for both lower- and higher-proficiency learners. Classroom observations revealed increased lexical range and reduced hesitation, supporting theoretical claims that visual–verbal integration lowers cognitive load. The findings confirm cue cards as a cost-effective alternative to digital media for advancing oral proficiency in bandwidth-constrained contexts. Implications for lesson planning, teacher training, and equity-oriented language policy are discussed.

Abstract

Beragam uapaya dilakukan untuk meningkatkan kemampuan literasi siswa, salah satunya melalui model pembelajaran LIMITT. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui efektivitas penerapan model pembelajaran LIMITT dalam meningkatkan kemampuan literasi matematika siswa. Pendekatan kuantitatif dengan desain eksperimen one-group pre-test post-test digunakan untuk menguji perbedaan kemampuan literasi matematika siswa sebelum dan setelah penerapan model LIMITT. Instrumen utama yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah tes literasi matematika yang terdiri dari pre-test dan post-test, yang mengukur kemampuan siswa dalam memahami konsep matematika, berpikir analitis, dan menerapkan konsep matematika dalam situasi kehidupan nyata. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan adanya peningkatan yang signifikan dalam kemampuan literasi matematika siswa setelah penerapan model LIMITT, dengan nilai rata-rata post-test 85,19 lebih tinggi dibandingkan dengan pre-test 78. Hasil uji t menunjukkan perbedaan signifikan antara pre-test dan post-test (p < 0,001), yang menegaskan bahwa penerapan model LIMITT efektif dalam meningkatkan literasi matematika siswa. Model LIMITT mampu membantu siswa mengembangkan kemampuan berpikir tingkat tinggi dan menerapkan matematika dalam konteks dunia nyata, sehingga meningkatkan pemahaman mereka terhadap materi matematika. Penelitian ini memberikan bukti empiris bahwa pendekatan pembelajaran berbasis literasi matematika berpikir tingkat tinggi dapat meningkatkan kemampuan literasi matematika siswa secara signifikan.

Abstract

Tujuan penelitian ini untuk menguraikan penerapan straretgi Krulik dan Rudnick pada proses pemecahan pasalah literasi numerasi geometri ruang siswa kelas VII. Jenis Penelitian ini mengaplikasikan deskriptif kualitatif. Prosedur penelitian ini terdiri dari tahap persiapan, pelaksanaan, analisis data dan penyusunan hasil peneltian. Subjek penlitian ini merupakan siswa kelas VIII-2 dan VIII-6 di SMP Negeri 40 Makassar berjumlah 6 siswa yang masing-masing terdiri dari 2 siswa yang mewakili setiap tipe AQ. Hasil temuan menunjukkan bahwa setiap tipe dari adversity quotient menunjukkan penerapan strategi krulik dan rudnick pada pemecahan masalah sangat variatif pada masalah literasi numerasi geometri ruang. Siswa quitter hanya mampu memenuhi indikator pertama pada pemecahan masalah walaupun tidak spesifik. Siswa camper mampu mencapai seluruh indikator pemecahan masalah krulik dan rudnick. Namun memilih menyerah pada indikator mencari jawaban disebabkan masalah yang dianggap sukar untuk diselesaikan dan ketidakyakinan atas penyelesaian masalah. Sedangkan siswa climber mampu memenuhi keseluruhan indikator pemecahan masalah dengan baik dan runtut.

Abstract

Evaluation is a fundamental component in the teaching and learning process, serving as a diagnostic tool to assess the effectiveness of educational activities. This qualitative descriptive study investigates the implementation of learning evaluation aligned with the 2013 Curriculum in Grade X at SMKN 4 Bone, Indonesia. Data were collected through observation, interviews, and documentation involving key educational stakeholders including the principal, vice principal for curriculum, and homeroom teachers. The findings reveal that the evaluation process encompassed key stages: planning, implementation, data processing, and reporting. Notably, SMKN 4 Bone also integrated continuous monitoring and application of evaluation outcomes dimensions that extend beyond conventional evaluation theory. Learning evaluation at this school involved cognitive, affective, and psychomotor domains, assessed through a range of instruments such as written tests, oral assessments, assignments, observations, and performance-based evaluations. While the evaluative procedures largely reflect the theoretical framework, some areas particularly the interpretation and integration of affective and spiritual assessment require further refinement. This study underscores the importance of comprehensive, reflective evaluation systems for curriculum implementation and recommends enhanced teacher capacity-building in evaluation literacy.

Abstract

Keterbatasan keterampilan guru dan siswa tentang kemampuan literasi digital dalam pembelajaran serta sulitnya mendapatkan aliran listrik sebagai sumber energi menjalankan berbagai teknologi pembelajaran menjadi permasalahan serius di UPT SPF SDN 41 Sabangko, Pulau Sabangko, Pangkajaene Kepulauan. Oleh karena itu, melalui program pengabdian masyarakat, tim dosen dari Universitas Bosowa melakukan instalasi PLTS dan berbagai pelatihan kepada para guru dan masyarakat di Pulau Sabangko. Adapun metode dalam program ini pelatihan dengan model pembelajaran langsung yang dibagi dalam 3 pelatihan yaitu (1) Pelatihan Instalasi PLTS Kapasitas 400 Wp/2 kW, (2) Pelatihan Pemasangan dan Penggunaan Teknologi Pembelajaran dan (3) Pelatihan dan Penerapan game edukasi serta animasi pembelajaran. Pelatihan diikuti oleh 7 guru dan 20 siswa dari SDN 41 Sabangko, dan beberapa kelompok masyarakat di Pulau Sabangko. Dari program pengabdian masyarakat ini ini, berdasarkan hasil observasi sebagian besar peserta (guru dan masyarakat) telah mampu melakukan instalasi Pembangkit Listrik Tenaga Surya dan melakukan pemasangan LCD serta mengoperasikan laptop yang berisi game edukasi dan animasi pembelajaran

Abstract

This study aims to reveal in depth the meaning of the presence of "accounting" carried out in religious organizations. The research method used in this study is a qualitative method based on the Interpretivist Paradigm, using transcendental phenomenology as a research approach. This research reveals that in Islam the practice of accounting is known as reckoning or muhasabah which also means to record, count, account, reply, reward and various other interpretations and definitions according to the context of the accompanying sentenceStudi ini bertujuan untuk mengungkap secara mendalam makna kehadiran “akuntansi” yang dilaksanakan di organisasi keagamaan. Metode penelitian  yang digunakan  pada penelitian ini adalah metode kualitatif yang didasarkan pada Interpretivist Paradigm, dengan menggunakan fenomenologi transendental sebagai pendekatan penelitian. Penelitian ini mengungkapkan bahwa dalam Islam praktik akuntansi dikenal dengan istilah hisab atau muhasabah yang juga berarti mencatat, menghitung, mempertanggungjawabkan, balasan, pahala dan berbagai macam tafsiran dan definisi lainnya sesuai konteks kalimat yang menyertainya.

Abstract

Kegiatan ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan kompetensi guru dalam mengembangkan media pembelajaran berbasis gamifikasi pada mata pelajaran matematika. Pelaksanaan program dilakukan melalui tiga tahap, yaitu sosialisasi, pelatihan luring, dan pendampingan daring. Pada tahap sosialisasi, kebutuhan nyata guru berhasil diidentifikasi sehingga modul dan perangkat pelatihan dapat disusun secara terarah. Tahap pelatihan memberikan pengalaman langsung bagi guru dalam memahami konsep gamifikasi, prinsip Joyful Learning, serta penggunaan media manipulatif, sekaligus melatih keterampilan mereka dalam merancang dan mensimulasikan media pembelajaran inovatif. Selanjutnya, tahap pendampingan berfokus pada penerapan hasil pelatihan di kelas melalui forum daring, yang memfasilitasi guru untuk mengembangkan, mempresentasikan, dan menyempurnakan media dengan bimbingan serta umpan balik dari tim pengabdian maupun rekan sejawat. Hasil kegiatan menunjukkan adanya peningkatan pengetahuan, keterampilan, serta budaya kolaborasi dan inovasi dalam pembelajaran. Implementasi media berbasis gamifikasi yang dihasilkan guru diharapkan mampu menciptakan suasana belajar matematika yang lebih menyenangkan, interaktif, dan bermakna sehingga tujuan pembelajaran dapat tercapai secara optimal.

Abstract

This study aims to determine and analyze the influence of Work Life Balance and Work Environment on Employee Performance at the Population and Civil Registration Office of Makassar City. The type of research used is quantitative research. Data collection techniques were carried out through observation, questionnaires, and documentation. The population in this study consisted of 54 individuals, and the sampling technique used was the saturated sample method. The data sources used consisted of primary and secondary data. Data analysis was conducted using multiple linear regression with the help of SPSS version 25. The results of the study indicate that: Work Life Balance (X1) has a positive but not significant effect on employee performance at the Population and Civil Registration Office of Makassar City, with a variable coefficient of 0.225 and a significance value of 0.061, which is greater than 0.05 (0.061 > 0.05). Meanwhile, the Work Environment (X2) has a positive and significant effect on employee performance at the same office, with a variable coefficient of 0.358 and a significance value of 0.032, which is less than 0.05 (0.032 < 0.05).

Abstract

This study aims to determine the Effect of Economic Growth and Unemployment on Poverty in Pangkajene and Kepulauan Regency. The type of data used in this study is quantitative data obtained from time series data from 2014-2023. Data collection using observation and documentation methods. The data collected was processed using multiple linear regression analysis methods with the help of SPSS version 30. The results of this study indicate that: (1) Economic Growth does not have a significant effect on poverty in Pangkajene and Kepulauan Regency. This is evidenced by the variable coefficient of 0.076 with a significant value of 0.538 which is greater than 0,10 (0.538 > 0,10) also evidenced by the calculated t value which is smaller than the t table (0.647 <1.894). (2) Unemployment has a significant effect on poverty in Pangkajene and Kepulauan Regency. This is proven by the variable coefficient value of 0.571 with a significant value of less than 0,10 (0.64 < 0,10), also proven by the calculated t value which is greater than the t table (2.194 > 1.894). Abstract

This study analyzes the impact of implementing Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) principles on local industrial transformation in Bone Regency, South Sulawesi, focusing on business competitiveness and sustainability. The study addresses a critical research gap by examining ESG in small-scale rural industries, a context underexplored compared to studies on large corporations. A qualitative approach with a case study design was used to understand the dynamics of change in small-scale fisheries and agriculture-based industries. Data was collected through in-depth interviews, field observations, and policy document reviews, involving 18 informants from business actors, government officials, community facilitators, and local academics. The study identified six key themes: improved operational efficiency and market access; changes in perceptions and the image of the local industry; infrastructure and technological limitations; low literacy and human resource capacity; multi-stakeholder collaboration strategies; and social innovation and product diversification. Findings indicate that ESG adoption drives production efficiency, expands market opportunities, enhances community pride, and fosters locally-based innovation. However, limited facilities, sustainability literacy gaps, and coordination among actors remain significant obstacles. These findings provide both theoretical contributions—by contextualizing ESG in rural community industries—and practical implications for policymakers seeking to design adaptive, inclusive, and collaborative sustainability frameworks. The study concludes that a bottom-up, community-driven approach, reinforced by supportive policies and cross-sectoral collaboration, is essential for ensuring the long-term sustainability of local industries in Indonesia’s rural regions.
