Abstract

Abstract The rapid development of e-commerce has triggered significant changes in consumer behavior, particularly among Generation Z, who are highly susceptible to various digital marketing strategies. One of the impacts of this change is an increase in impulsive purchasing tendencies influenced by digital marketing strategies such as celebrity endorsements, flash sales, and the fear of missing out (FOMO) phenomenon. This study employs a quantitative approach with an explanatory research design. A total of 105 respondents were selected using purposive sampling. Data analysis was conducted using multiple linear regression. The results indicate that celebrity endorsements and flash sales have a significant positive influence on impulsive purchasing behavior. Meanwhile, the influence of fear of missing out is negative and statistically insignificant. Among the three variables studied, celebrity endorsement emerged as the most dominant factor influencing impulsive purchasing decisions. This finding underscores the importance of celebrities in shaping perceptions and driving impulsive shopping behavior among Generation Z. Additionally, flash sales promotions should be further enhanced, and psychological aspects such as FOMO can be optimized in designing more effective promotional strategies. Keywords: Celebrity Endorsement, Flash Sale, Fear of Missing Out (FOMO), Impulsive Buying, Generasi Z, E-commerce

Abstract

Background: The Hospital Management Information System (SIMRS) is a crucial component in supporting the digital transformation of healthcare services, particularly through the implementation of electronic medical records. The transition from manual, paper-based medical records to electronic medical records has generated a positive response from users. This response has impacted nurses' satisfaction with nursing care documentation in electronic medical records. This satisfaction is measured through five dimensions of End-User Computer Satisfaction (EUCS). Purpose: To analyze the determinants of nurses' satisfaction with nursing care documentation in electronic medical records. Method: This quantitative study used a descriptive-analytical observational design with a cross-sectional approach. The data collection instrument was a questionnaire based on the five EUCS dimensions. Results: The determination test showed that all EUCS dimensions were determinants of nurses' satisfaction with nursing care documentation in electronic medical records. Multiple linear regression analysis showed that format had the most significant influence on nurse satisfaction, followed by timeliness and accuracy, while ease of use had a negative influence. Conclusion: All EUCS dimensions (format, content, ease of use, timeliness, and accuracy) were determinants of nurses' satisfaction with nursing care documentation in electronic medical records at Kota Regional General Hospital. Statistics show that formatting has the most significant impact on user satisfaction. Suggestion: To support the smooth operation of electronic medical record applications, a stable internet connection, an attractive format, ease of system operation, content tailored to user needs, and accurate data are required. To improve user satisfaction, regular and planned evaluations involving various parties within the agency are necessary, and electronic medical record users must respond promptly to complaints and suggestions.   Keywords: Electronic Medical Record; Nursing Care Documentation; Nurse Satisfaction.   Pendahuluan: Sistem Informasi Manajemen Rumah Sakit (SIMRS) merupakan bagian penting dalam mendukung transformasi digital pelayanan kesehatan, khususnya melalui penerapan Rekam Medis Elektronik (RME). Abstract

Children with disabilities are a vulnerable group during disasters due to the limitations they experience. Disaster risk reduction can be achieved through education, which can be delivered using audio visual media and sign language. The aim of this study is to analyze the impact of audio visual and sign language education on the knowledge of children with disabilities regarding fire disaster preparedness. The research was conducted using a pre-experimental approach with a one-group pre-posttest design involving 25 students with disabilities (visual impairments, hearing impairments, and mild intellectual disabilities) from Junior and Senior High School for special needs in Banjarmendalan, Lamongan Regency, in May 2024. The intervention consisted of audiovisual and sign language education on fire disaster preparedness. The measurement tool used was a questionnaire assessing knowledge, and the data were analyzed using the Wilcoxon test (α≤0.05). The results indicated that 56% of students with disabilities had a moderate level of knowledge before the educational intervention, and increased to 68% after the intervention. There was a significant effect of audiovisual and sign language education on the knowledge of students with disabilities regarding fire disaster preparedness (p=0.000). Audio visual and sign language education proved effective in enhancing the knowledge of students with disabilities. However, the effect of the education varied among respondents due to differences in the types of disabilities. Future research is recommended to select specific methods tailored to particular types of disabilities, such as using Braille books for individuals with visual impairments.

Abstract

Background: Non-formal English education programs often lack rigorous assessment tools, resulting in challenges in evaluating student performance and guiding instructional improvements. One such program, the English Massive Program (EMAS) in Kediri, East Java, Indonesia, serves as a community-driven initiative focused on enhancing English proficiency. However, the quality of its assessments, especially in reading comprehension, remains a critical concern. Aims: This study aims to investigate how item analysis using the QUEST application can enhance the quality of diagnostic assessment and instructional strategies in non-formal English education, specifically within the EMAS program. The focus is on analysing reading comprehension tests to identify weaknesses and propose improvements in test construction. Methods: This exploratory study analysed 30 multiple-choice reading comprehension items completed by 26 junior high school students participating in the EMAS program. The QUEST application was employed to assess item difficulty, discrimination, and distractor efficiency. Results: The results showed that while most discrimination indices were within acceptable ranges, many items, especially the distractors, were too simple and ineffective. This resulted in insufficient and unbalanced discrimination values, indicating that the test items did not optimally differentiate among varying student ability levels. Implications: The study underscores the importance of integrating psychometric-based diagnostic tools in community education settings. It demonstrates how such analysis can empower educators with practical insights to improve test design, thereby enhancing assessment quality and pedagogy. The research calls for more advanced diagnostic assessment methods to support literacy and instructional planning in low-resource, non-formal educational environments.

Abstract

Hypertension is a common health problem among the elderly. This study aims to determine the effectiveness of Hibiscus sabdariffa Linn. flower and white ginger tea in reducing blood pressure in the elderly. This quasi-experimental study employed a control group design. The study was conducted on 64 elderly and distributed equally to intervention and control group. The intervention group received Hibiscus sabdariffa Linn. flower and white ginger tea, while the control group administered antihypertensive medication. Blood pressure was measured using a digital sphygmomanometer. Data were analyzed using a t-test (α ≤ 0.05). In the intervention group, the mean systolic blood pressure decreased 11.7 and the mean diastolic blood pressure also dropped 7.8. In the control group, the mean systolic blood pressure reduced 12.5; and a decrease in mean diastolic blood pressure of 7.76. A notable change was detected between pre-test and post-test measurements in both the intervention and control groups (p = 0.000; p = 0.000). However, post-test systolic and diastolic blood pressure remained comparable between the two groups, showing no significant difference (p = 0.441; p = 0.856). Hibiscus sabdariffa Linn. flower and white ginger tea have demonstrated efficacy in reducing blood pressure in the elderly, comparable to antihypertensive drugs.
