Abstract

The development of digital technology has brought changes to the learning process in schools, so that the use of digital media has become one of the efforts to increase students' interest in learning. This study aims to determine the effect of digital media on students' interest in learning at Budisatrya Private High School. This study uses a quantitative approach with a survey method. The research subjects were 10th grade students at Budisatrya Private High School with a total of 32 respondents. The research instrument was a Likert scale questionnaire consisting of 9 statements for the digital media variable and 7 statements for the student learning interest variable. Data analysis techniques included validity testing, reliability testing, normality testing, and simple linear regression analysis. The results showed that all statement items were valid and reliable. Normality testing showed that the data was normally distributed. The regression analysis results showed a significance value of 0.003, which is less than 0.05, so it can be concluded that digital media has a significant effect on student learning interest at Budisatrya Private High School. This study is expected to be a consideration for teachers and schools in optimizing the use of digital media in the learning process.

Abstract

Penelitian ini membahas peran komunikasi organisasi sebagai faktor kunci dalam memperkuat komitmen kerja guru dan tenaga kependidikan di lingkungan sekolah. Secara umum, komunikasi yang efektif menjadi fondasi terciptanya koordinasi, hubungan kerja harmonis, serta iklim organisasi yang mendukung peningkatan kualitas pendidikan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis konsep komunikasi organisasi di sekolah, memahami dimensi komitmen kerja, menelaah pengaruh komunikasi terhadap komitmen tersebut, serta merumuskan strategi penguatan komunikasi dalam konteks manajemen sekolah. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah kualitatif deskriptif dengan teknik pengumpulan data berupa wawancara, observasi, dan dokumentasi, serta analisis data model Miles & Huberman. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa komunikasi organisasi yang jelas, terbuka, dua arah, dan terstruktur mampu meningkatkan motivasi, loyalitas, kepercayaan, serta rasa memiliki guru terhadap sekolah. Selain itu, komunikasi efektif memperkuat kejelasan tugas, mengurangi konflik, dan menciptakan lingkungan kerja yang kondusif sehingga komitmen kerja semakin stabil. Temuan ini menegaskan bahwa penguatan komunikasi organisasi merupakan strategi esensial dalam meningkatkan profesionalisme dan kualitas kinerja guru.

Abstract

The systems approach is an effective method in analyzing the mission of educational institutions, where the complexity and interdependence between components in the education system can be understood holistically. This article aims to explore how the systems approach can be used to identify, formulate, and disseminate the mission of educational institutions, and its impact on the development of better education policies. By using a systems framework, researchers can explore the relationship between the vision, values, and goals of educational institutions and how these elements contribute to the achievement of expected educational outcomes. The results show that the systems approach not only helps in formulating a clearer and more measurable mission, but also increases the involvement of all parties in the process of formulating the mission. This creates a sense of ownership and shared responsibility for achieving the goals of the institution, this article also discusses the challenges faced in implementing the systems approach, such as resistance to change and a lack of understanding of the importance of collaboration between elements in the education system.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh gaya kepemimpinan guru terhadap motivasi belajar siswa di SMP IT Budaya Langkat Desa Tanjung Ibus Kecamatan Secanggang. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dengan metode survei. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah seluruh siswa SMP IT Budaya Langkat, sedangkan sampel ditentukan menggunakan teknik random sampling. Pengumpulan data dilakukan melalui penyebaran angket yang disusun berdasarkan indikator gaya kepemimpinan guru dan motivasi belajar siswa. Data yang diperoleh dianalisis menggunakan teknik analisis statistik, meliputi uji validitas, uji reliabilitas, uji normalitas, serta analisis regresi linear sederhana untuk mengetahui besarnya pengaruh variabel gaya kepemimpinan guru terhadap motivasi belajar siswa. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa gaya kepemimpinan guru berpengaruh positif dan signifikan terhadap motivasi belajar siswa. Hal ini menunjukkan bahwa semakin baik gaya kepemimpinan guru yang diterapkan dalam proses pembelajaran, maka semakin tinggi pula motivasi belajar siswa. Dengan demikian, gaya kepemimpinan guru memiliki peran penting dalam meningkatkan motivasi belajar siswa di SMP IT Budaya Langkat.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui efektivitas penggunaan program remedial dalam meningkatkan prestasi akademik siswa pada mata pelajaran Matematika di SMP Negeri 35 Medan. Penelitian menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dengan metode eksperimen semu (quasi experiment) melalui desain one group pretest–posttest. Subjek penelitian terdiri atas 33 siswa kelas VIII yang belum mencapai Kriteria Ketuntasan Minimal (KKM). Data dikumpulkan menggunakan tes hasil belajar yang diberikan sebelum dan sesudah pelaksanaan program remedial. Analisis data dilakukan dengan bantuan SPSS meliputi analisis statistik deskriptif, uji normalitas, uji hipotesis menggunakan uji t berpasangan, serta perhitungan effect size (Cohen’s d). Hasil penelitian menunjukkan adanya perbedaan yang signifikan antara nilai pretest dan posttest siswa setelah mengikuti program remedial (p < 0,05). Nilai effect size menunjukkan pengaruh yang sangat besar, yang mengindikasikan bahwa program remedial efektif dalam meningkatkan prestasi akademik siswa. Dengan demikian, program remedial dapat dijadikan sebagai strategi pembelajaran yang efektif untuk mengatasi ketidaktuntasan belajar siswa.

Abstract

The quality of administrative services plays an important role in supporting the effectiveness of educational services in formal educational institutions. Well-organized administration contributes to the smooth learning process, user satisfaction, and overall institutional quality improvement. This study aims to analyze the effect of administrative service quality on educational services at Madrasah Aliyah Negeri (MAN) 2 Model Medan. A quantitative approach with a correlational method was employed involving 21 respondents consisting of teachers and educational staff. Data were collected using a five-point Likert scale questionnaire and analyzed through validity, reliability, normality, homogeneity, and t-tests using SPSS. The results indicate that the research instruments were valid and reliable, the data were normally distributed and homogeneous, and there was a significant effect of administrative service quality on educational services, with a significance value of 0.000 (<0.05). These findings confirm that improving administrative service quality directly contributes to enhancing educational service quality.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the influence of the principal’s leadership style on teachers’ work motivation at SMP Al-Washliyah 5 Hamparan Perak. The principal’s leadership plays a strategic role in directing, motivating, and creating a conducive working environment to support teachers in performing their professional duties effectively. Teachers’ work motivation is a crucial factor affecting their performance, commitment, and professionalism in the teaching and learning process. This research employed a quantitative approach using a survey method. Data were collected through questionnaires distributed to teachers as respondents and analyzed using inferential statistical techniques. The results indicate that the principal’s leadership style has a significant effect on teachers’ work motivation. These findings suggest that the more effective the leadership style applied by the principal, the higher the level of teachers’ work motivation in carrying out their responsibilities. Therefore, principals are expected to implement appropriate, participative, and human-resource-oriented leadership styles to enhance teachers’ motivation and improve the quality of education in schools.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the relationship between school principals' academic supervision and the improvement of teachers' pedagogical competence at SMK TR 2 Sinar Husni. Teachers' pedagogical competence is a key factor in enhancing the quality of learning and students' learning outcomes, thus requiring systematic professional development through academic supervision. This study uses a quantitative approach with a correlational design. The research subjects were all teachers at SMK TR 2 Sinar Husni, totaling 15 individuals. Data collection was conducted using a closed questionnaire that had been tested for validity and reliability. Data analysis was carried out with the help of the SPSS program through validity tests, reliability tests, normality tests, linearity tests, and Pearson Product Moment correlation tests. The results of the study indicate that school principals' academic supervision has a positive and significant relationship with teachers' pedagogical competence, with a correlation coefficient of 0.676 at the significance level. significance 0.01. These findings indicate that the better the implementation of the principal's academic supervision, the higher the teacher's pedagogical competence. This study recommends strengthening academic supervision that is continuous and developmental as a strategy to improve the quality of learning in vocational high schools.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the influence of the school environment on students' enthusiasm for learning. The study used a quantitative approach with a survey method of 32 students using a Likert-scale questionnaire. The school environment was measured through physical and social aspects, while enthusiasm for learning was measured through enthusiasm, persistence, participation, and responsibility for learning. The results showed that the school environment was categorized as good with an average score of 3.71, and student enthusiasm for learning was categorized as high with an average score of 3.78. However, the results of the correlation test indicated a weak relationship between the school environment and student enthusiasm for learning. This finding suggests that the school environment plays a supporting role, while student enthusiasm for learning is also influenced by factors other than the school environment.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the effect of madrasa organizational culture on teacher performance at MTs N 2 Deli Serdang. The research employed a quantitative approach with a causal research design. The population consisted of all teachers at MTs N 2 Deli Serdang, and total sampling was applied, resulting in 45 teacher respondents. Data were collected using a closed-ended questionnaire with a five-point Likert scale measuring madrasa organizational culture and teacher performance. The research instruments were tested for validity and reliability, and all items were found to be valid and reliable. Data analysis was conducted using descriptive statistics and simple linear regression with the assistance of SPSS software. The results indicate that madrasa organizational culture has a positive and significant effect on teacher performance. The coefficient of determination showsW that madrasa organizational culture contributes 58.7% to teacher performance, while the remaining percentage is influenced by other factors outside the research model. These findings highlight that strengthening madrasa organizational culture plays a crucial role in improving teacher performance and ensuring sustainable educational quality.
