Abstract

The general objective of this research is to enhance student outcomes through the implementation of soccer dribbling using the cooperative model of Teams Games Tournament (TGT). Additionally, this study aims to obtain in-depth information about the application of game variations in soccer dribbling. The research design employed is Classroom Action Research (CAR). The subjects in this study are 22 students from class V at SDN Paya Demam 2. The research was conducted over two meetings spanning two cycles. Each cycle consisted of four stages. The first cycle indicated that through action, students can self-motivate. From this first cycle, the result was 46%, indicating it was incomplete. The second cycle, as a reflection of the first cycle, also demonstrated that action improves student learning outcomes. The result of the second cycle was 100%, indicating completion. Based on the findings of this research, it can be concluded that: (1) Learning soccer dribbling using the cooperative model of Teams Games Tournament (TGT) enhances student learning outcomes, (2) Learning soccer dribbling using TGT motivates students and encourages active participation in the learning process.

Abstract

Pola asuh orang tua pada anak yang mengalami kelainan retardasi mental berdampak pada saat proses perkembanganya. Pola asuh baik dan keterlibatan orang tua sangat mendukung anak dalam menumbuhkan rasa kemandiriian serta percaya diri pada anak. Oleh sebab itu orang tua wajib memiliki cara yang seefektif mungkin yang digunakan untuk mengajarkan dan membentuk kemandiriaan anak. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui hubungan pola asuh orang tua dengan kemampuan perawatan diri anak retardasi mental di SLB YPAC Dewantara Kecamatan Dewantara Kabupaten Aceh Utara. Jenis penelitian yang digunakan pada penelitian ini adalah penelitian korelasi kuantitatif menggunakan desain cross sectional. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah orang tua dan anak retardasi mental (tuna grahita) di SLB YPAC Dewantara Kecamatan Dewantara Kabupaten Aceh Utara berjumlah 40 orang. Teknik pengambilan sampel dalam penelitian dilakukan secara total populasi. Penelitian dilakukan sejak bulan Maret sampai dengan Agustus 2023.Hasil penelitian diperoleh pola asuh orang tua mayoritas kategori demokratis yaitu sebanyak 16 orang (40%) dan kemampuan perawatan diri anak retardasi mental mayoritas berada pada kategori dibantu sebagian yaitu 29 orang (72,5%). Hasil uji Chi Square menunjukan bahwa nilai p = 0,030 < nilai α = 0,05 maka Ha diterima yang berarti ada hubungan yang siginifikan antara pola asuh orang tua dengan kemampuan perawatan diri anak retardasi mental di SLB YPAC Dewantara Kecamatan Dewantara Kabupaten Aceh Utara. Disarankan bagi orang tua yang memiliki anak retardasi mental agar lebih intens melakukan komunikasi, lebih percaya, dan terus mengajarkan dan melatih anak agar mandiri.

Abstract

Batik and textile production produces liquid waste with a COD content above the environmental quality standard between 2,000-12,000 ppm. Efforts to reduce the value of COD are helped by the addition of NaOCl. This study aims to determine the pH and dose of NaOCl against COD reduction. Textile liquid waste used came from factory X while batik liquid waste came from factory Y; both factories are located in South Tangerang. In this study, the pH range, 5, 7, and 9 and NaOCl concentrations were added in 3000, 4000, and 5000 ppm. The study begins with the measurement of the actual COD value in the two wastewater. The best results for batik waste were obtained at pH 5 with the addition of 4000 ppm NaOCl which resulted in a decrease of 93%. Textile liquid waste shows the best results at pH 5 with an additional 5000 ppm NaOCl concentration which can reduce COD by 95%. The final result of the COD value has met the quality standard set by the government which is less than 250 ppm.

Abstract

An active and collaborative learning environment has been proven to have benefits in increasing student motivation, participation and engagement. This article aims to analyze the use of ice breaking in building an active and collaborative learning environment. The approach used in writing this article is a descriptive qualitative approach using literature study methods through journals, scientific articles and book sources. Data analysis techniques involve data reduction, data visualization and inference steps. The results of this research on ice breaking show that ice breaking is effective in building an active and collaborative learning environment. In the studies and research reviewed, ice breaking has been proven to reduce students' initial anxiety and tension, create a relaxed atmosphere in the classroom, and increase communication and student involvement in the learning process.

Abstract

The bouquet business is an independent small business where the capital for the business comes from personal funds. Which is engaged in the arts because the bouquet is one of the business objects favored by the public because of its aesthetics. The purpose of this research is to find out and analyze the use of social media as a promotion and marketing strategy for Bouquet to many people. The methods used in this activity are: input, process, output (product) and evaluation methods. Our input method first determines students' interests, and looks at some of the products that have been marketed so that they can help us determine prices that are adjusted to the location and economy of students. After that we conduct a feasibility study on the business that we will run, namely by knowing whether this business has long-term business prospects. Process (production), the process of making a bouquet of flowers starting from the preparation of tools and materials until the bouquet is ready to be promoted. Then the output is handicrafts that are ready to be used and marketed via Instagram social media. The last is evaluation, which is the stage where the flower bouquet product has been completed. The conclusion of this journal is that the PKM-K Program provides opportunities for students to practice entrepreneurship and understand very comprehensive entrepreneurial concepts. The PKM-K program builds student enthusiasm to continue doing business with their craft skills. The PKM-K program utilizes social media Instagram as a market palace.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui perbandingan keseimbangan lingkungan dilihat dari komposisi jenis plankton, produktivitas primer, kelimpahan, indeks keanekaragaman, indeks dominansi dan indeks saprobik di Embung Potorono dan Embung Imogiri pada April dan Oktober 2021. Penelitian ini dilakukan pada bulan April 2021 sampai Juli 2022. Desain penelitian ini adalah deskriptif eksploratif. Pengambilan sampel dilakukan pada 5 stasiun dengan 5 pengulangan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa kualitas perairan di keempat lokasi dan waktu termasuk dalam kategori tercemar ringan. Parameter yang berkontribusi terhadap kualitas air di Embung Imogiri dan Embung Potorono pada April 2021 adalah kedalaman air, curah hujan, dan suhu air yang tinggi. Curah hujan memiliki hubungan yang tidak signifikan dengan kelimpahan jenis yang tinggi namun melalui COD dapat dilihat adanya hubungan yang signifikan antara COD dengan kelimpahan jenis. Parameter yang berkontribusi terhadap kualitas air di Embung Imogiri pada Oktober 2021 adalah bahan organik, nitrat, DO, kekeruhan air dan magnesium yang cukup tinggi. Intensitas cahaya memiliki hubungan yang tidak signifikan dengan indeks dominansi fitoplankton namun nitrat, DO dan kekeruhan air memiliki hubungan yang signifikan dengan indeks dominansi fitoplankton. Parameter yang berkontribusi terhadap kualitas air di Embung Potorono pada Oktober 2021 adalah intensitas cahaya, BOD, COD, kalium dan fosfat. DO berpengaruh terhadap indeks keanekaragaman zooplankton yang dapat dilihat dari hubungan yang signifikan antara DO dengan indeks dominansi zooplankton.

Abstract

Latar belakang dari penelitian ini adalah pentingnya literasi multikultural dalam konteks pendidikan di Indonesia, khususnya di pondok pesantren, sebagai lembaga pendidikan yang memiliki peran strategis dalam membangun kesadaran sosial. Tujuan dari pengabdian ini adalah untuk meningkatkan literasi multikultural di Pondok Pesantren Al-Amin Gersik melalui implementasi Pojok Belajar. Metode yang digunakan adalah Asset Based Community Development (ABCD), yang berfokus pada pemanfaatan potensi yang ada di masyarakat. Hasil dari kegiatan ini menunjukkan peningkatan kesadaran sosial di kalangan santri, ditunjukkan melalui partisipasi aktif mereka dalam kegiatan Pojok Belajar. Kesimpulan dari kegiatan ini adalah bahwa Pojok Belajar dapat menjadi sarana efektif dalam meningkatkan literasi multikultural dan kesadaran sosial di pondok pesantren.

Abstract

Early reading activities are the foundation for mastering language skills in elementary schools. This study aims to describe the implementation of early reading activities in first-grade students of SDN 78 Balang and analyze the supporting and inhibiting factors of its implementation. The method used is descriptive qualitative research with teachers and first-grade students as subjects. Data were collected through observation, interviews, and documentation. The results show that 75% of students have recognized vowels and consonants, but 30% still have difficulty reading independently, only being able to read when spelled. Supporting factors include the involvement of KKN students, teacher support, and the motivation of some students. Inhibiting factors are differences in ability, low motivation of some students, and minimal parental involvement. Practical implications, more personalized learning strategies and increased communication between schools and parents are needed to improve students' early reading outcomes..

Abstract

Background: Adolescent mental health is a critical issue that is gaining global attention. Bullying in school has been shown to have negative impact on self-concept, academic achievement, and increasing the risk of depression and anxiety. Peer support-based interventions are considered potential because adolescents are more open with their peers than adults, but research on their effectiveness in Indonesia is still limited Purpose: To assess the effectiveness of peer support interventions in improving mental health, self-concept, and preventing bullying behavior among adolescents in school environments. Methods: The study used a quasi-experimental design with a pretest-posttest control group design. The sample consisted of 60 junior high school students selected using purposive sampling, but the final number analyzed was 49 students (23 control, 26 intervention).The peer support intervention was implemented for 8 weeks through weekly sessions that included mental health literacy, communication skills, and strategies for dealing with bullying through discussion and role-play. The research instruments included the Strengths and Difficulties Questionnaire (SDQ) to measure mental health, the Olweus Bullying Questionnaire to measure bullying, and the Rosenberg Self-Esteem Scale to measure self-concept. Data analysis used t-tests and Wilcoxon tests with a significance level of p<0.05. Result: The results showed that in the intervention group, the average SDQ score decreased from 15.2 to 11.9 (Δ = –3.3 ± 6.1; p=0.017), indicating an improvement in mental health. Self-concept scores increased from 27.8 to 29.7 (Δ = +1.9 ± 13.0; p=0.115), while perpetrator bullying scores (Δ = –0.4 ± 8.2; p=0.736) and victim bullying scores (Δ = –0.2 ± 5.5; p=0.881) decreased, although not significantly. In the control group, SDQ scores decreased from 14.8 to 12.0 (Δ = –2.8 ± 6.3; p=0.015) and self-concept scores increased significantly from 28.1 to 31.7 (Δ = +3.6 ± 12.5; p=0.029). However, changes in perpetrators (Δ = +1.0 ± 8.6) and victims (Δ = –0.9 ± 5.6) of bullying were not significant (p>0.05). Intergroup analysis showed no significant differences (p>0.05) even though the intervention group showed greater mental health improvement (ΔSDQ –3.3 vs –2.8). This indicates that peer support has the potential to improve adolescents' psychological well-being, although it is not yet statistically significant during this intervention period. Implication: These findings indicate that peer support interventions is effective in improving mental health, but has not yet had a significant impact on self-concept and bullying behavior. Further research with longer duration, larger sample sizes, and teacher and parent involvement is recommended to strengthen the intervention's impact and support the implementation of mental health-friendly school policies. Abstract

Pembelajaran Bahasa Indonesia bagi Penutur Asing (BIPA) memerlukan pendekatan yang komunikatif dan kontekstual agar mampu meningkatkan kompetensi berbahasa dan kepercayaan diri pembelajar. Namun, pembelajaran BIPA di beberapa perguruan tinggi luar negeri masih cenderung berfokus pada hafalan kosakata dan tata bahasa, sehingga kurang mengembangkan kemampuan komunikatif mahasiswa. Kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan kemampuan berbahasa Indonesia mahasiswa BIPA tingkat pemula melalui pelatihan dan pendampingan pengajaran dengan pendekatan interaktif. Program dilaksanakan di Yala Rajabhat University, Thailand, selama empat minggu dengan delapan kali pertemuan dan melibatkan 20–25 mahasiswa. Metode pelaksanaan meliputi pengenalan bahasa dasar, penguatan keterampilan berbicara dan menyimak, integrasi pembelajaran budaya, pengembangan literasi membaca dan menulis, serta peningkatan motivasi belajar melalui media digital dan pembelajaran berbasis proyek. Evaluasi dilakukan melalui observasi terstruktur dengan membandingkan kondisi awal dan akhir peserta. Hasil kegiatan menunjukkan peningkatan pada seluruh aspek kemampuan berbahasa, terutama penguasaan kosakata dan keterampilan berbicara, serta meningkatnya pemahaman budaya dan motivasi belajar mahasiswa. Program ini disimpulkan efektif dalam meningkatkan kompetensi komunikatif mahasiswa BIPA dan berpotensi direplikasi pada konteks pembelajaran BIPA lainnya.
