Abstract

The use of information technology has brought negative effects for students. Nowdays, students have less interaction with people and act anti-socially. The first analysis of students’ social attitude by using 5 indicators are tolerating , cooperating, social care, sense of brotherhood, and appreciating achievement achieved the minimimun score showed that the result was 34,7%.The learning achievemectnt incognitive domain was 22%. Trough this study, it is expected that the use of Quantum Learning model will improve students’ social attitude and learning result. This classroom action research uses Hopkins model and qualitative and quantitative approach. This research was done in three cycles with 22 students as the subjects. The data collection methods used in this research were observation, questionnaire, essay test, interview, and documentation. It was found that the average percenatges of students’ social attitude were 34,7% in pre-cycle and 52,46% in cycle 1. It increased as much as 17% and became 71,32% in cycle 2. In cycle 3, the average percentage increased as much as 3,4% and became 79%. Students’ learning result was measured through tests on cognitive aspects that were done at the end of each cycle. The percentage of students’ learning achievement were 22% in pre-cycle, 45,4% in cycle 1, and 59,09% in cycle 2. In the third cycle, the percentage increased and became86,3%.These results show that through this research, students social attitude and learning results were improved with Implementation of Quantum Learning Model. Abstract

This research aims at understanding the role of Admiral John Lie. It utilizes historical methods in analyzing data and facts. Three steps of research are applied in this writing. At an early stage the researcher collects data from books and. In the latter stage, various facts and findings are arranged one to another in order to discover the milestone of his contribution during the independence era. Thereafter in the final stage the researcher compiles stories and historical facts in a chronological manner. At least three important landmarks of his career could be traced back to understand his role in independence era: firstly the life before he joined the navy; secondly his role in the fight against the colonial rule; and thirdly his role in the military after the independence. We can conclude that John Lie had been grown up in the maritime community that which very positive for his career in the navy. In 1947 he made a heroic effort to penetrate the Dutch naval blockade in Singapore and smuggle rubber in exchange of weapons. Besides that, he made another important contribution to the nation when he led his troops in the fight against the rebellions of RMS and PRRI/Permesta. Abstract

In 1900’s there were counterwork movements which cause social restlessness in any area, and also the resurrection movement of religion which took a form of schools such as “madrasah” and organization in Indonesia. Moslem’s figures are like Ulama and Kyai were starting to collect power through Pondok Pesantren and established a religious social organization, for example, Nahdlatul Ulama in Jombang (East Java) in 1926. The problems in this research is how did the background of NU takes a role in national movement and how was the pattern of NU’s act on national movement from 1926-1945. This research aims to describe and analyze the background of NU on national movement and pattern of NU’s act fom 1926-1945. This research uses historical research method. Source of data which was gotten in the first step is from primary and secondary source. Next, in the second step, the researcher gave source’s critic which are external and internal critic. The third step is an interpretation which was done using analysis and synthesis. The final step, the researcher used historiography or presentation of the result of fact’s interpretation in written form. The result of research covers some things. First, the backgrounds or the reasons NU took part on Indonesian national movement which was affected by politics condition, social, economy and education during the Dutch and Japanese colonization. The second, the pattern of NU movement during the Dutch and Japanese colonization had been implemented. In the Dutch colonization, NU refused the idea which proposed its members be in Volksraad. Meanwhile, during Japanese colonization, NU decided to be more cooperative by using collaboration issue or be cooperative with Japanese government.

Abstract

Intellectual is Indonesian youths who are educated and fight for his nation. Intelectual’s brought a new way struggle of Indonesian nation which no longer rely on physical but on ability and intellectual. Emerging of national movement pioneered by intellectual who have got Dutch colonial government's education. The problems in this research are the factors behind the emerging of the intellectual and the contribution of the learned classes in the national movement of Indonesia. This research aims to describe about the role of intellectual in the national movement of Indonesia on 1908-1928. This research method uses historical research method, which consists of four steps: heuristics, criticism, interpretation and historiography. The benefits of this research to increase knowledge and can be used as a reference for the next research. The conclusion that can be drawn from this research is the first factor that is the background of intellectual emerging is the implementation of ethical politics policy and the implementation of Dutch colonial education in Indonesia. The Dutch government provides opportunities for the people of Indonesia to obtain an education. Second, intellectual's contribution in the national movement of Indonesia which include education sector, economic sector, social sector and emerging of national awareness for nation and state. Abstract

The Meiji restoration gave a great impact on Japan development into a developed nation. The development of Japan at the Meiji restoration periode required funds in great quantity. The Zaibatsu was a group of entepreneurs with a lot of funds and had developed businesses in various sectors. The cooperation between the Meiji goverment and the Zaibatsu made the restoration well-worked. This research aims to know the contribution of Zaibatsu in granting funds for the development of Japan. This research also describes the history of Zibatasu development. The result of cooperation between the Government of Meiji imperialism and the Zaibatsu was showed by the success of Japan in becoming an industrial nation by retaining its traditional nature. Beside that, the Meiji imperialism had been succeded in developing the economy of Japan. In addition, Japan also had become an imperial nation, showed by the Japanese victory over Russia for taking Korea as the market of Japan industrial products during the reign of Meiji imperialism periode. The Zaibatsu became the side that succesfully advance the economics of Japan so Japan can become a developed nation in the economy, especially in the industry. Abstract

Technological developments are increasingly rapidly encouraging the education innovatively to utilize and develop mobile phones for the purposes of learning, commonly known as term Mobile Learning. Mobile Learning can be defined as part of e-learning (electronic learning) which the delivery of the material is done with the help of telecommunication tools. The results of needs assesment of learners at 5 senior high schools in Jember District, showed that 80% of teaching materials is limited to textbooks and 100% of students have mobile phones for communication only. This study aimed to overcome the curriculum gap and lack of utilization of technology, especially mobile for learning. The method used in this research is a quantitative method. The validation result of digital module development based on Mobile Learning showed the language validity of 80%, material content validity 84%, and design validity 87.5%. while the user test showed that 89%. It means that the learning materials is in effective level. This showed that the Mobile Learning-based digital module deserves to be an innovative resource for history learning. Abstract

The purpose of learning history is to increase the nationalism of students. Teachers should facilitate students in order to gain the students’ nasionalism. The purpose of this research is to improve the students’ nationalism by using the method of socio-drama through the history lesson in class XII IPS 2 of MAN 2 Jember in 2017/2018 academic year. There were 30 students as the research participants. This research used Classroom Action Research (CAR). This research was started from February to November 2017. The results of this research found that there was an improvement of the students’ nationalism. The improvement of students’ Nationalism were shown from the indicator of nasinalism they were; love of the nation and the country, on pre-cyle= 67,16%, on the cyle I= 75%, and on the cyle II= 83,66%; awere have a nation is one nation of Indonesia, on the pre-cyle= 68.37%, on the cyle I= 74,48%, and on the cyle II= 83,14%; aware having state of Indonesia, on the pre-cyle= 70,23%, on the cyle I= 74,64%, and on the cyle II= 84,16%.Keywords: Socio-Drama Method; Nationalism; History Learning Outcomes

Abstract

Learning material used by learners in learning have not been able to grow the ability to reveal and discover their own and construct their understanding. Different ability of understanding and limited time in implementing learning in school resulted in learners unable to learn independently and directed and learn to solve problems systematically. For that the need for the use of innovative teaching materials in the form of module-based inquiry. Through the use of this inquiry-based module, learners are expected to develop their ability to learn through their own initiative and be able to silve problems critical, logical, and analytical learning so that they can formulate their own inventions full confidence. This study indentifies the student's needs analysis of the innovative teaching materials that learners want. This type of research is development research. Expert validation inthis research is learning design expert, learning material expert and linguist. Research subjects in small group test as 10 children, big group test as 2 class in school faithful. Data collection techniques: observation, questionnaire, interview and documentation. Student needs analysis of inquiry-based module was obtained by questionnaire dispersion in three school with class selection in low learning category. The needs anaysis of learners measured through qu etionnaires produced data with a presentation of needs of 78%. The results of validation of 60% design learning experts, 82% learning material experts and 82% language validation. One to one test result is 91%, small group test in SMAN 5 Jember class XI IIS 2 get t test (2,55) and SMAN Plus Sukowono class XI IIS 1 obtained t test (2,83). Large group test in SMAN 5 Jember class XI IIS 1 obtained data t test (2,83), class XI IIS 2 obtained data t test (3,16). Large group test in SMAN Plus Sukowono clas XI IIS 1 was obtained t test (3,16) and class XI IIS 2 t test (2,91).Keywords: Learning Resources, Inquiry-Based Modules

Abstract

Modules are teaching materials that have features namely self contained, independent, adaptive, and user friendly. The characteristics are relevant to the 2013 Curriculum, approaching student centered learning. The purpose of this research is developing of Adobe Flash CC (Creative Cloud) interactive multimedia module that is validated expertly and effectively as a basic material of learning history XI high school class. This research was using development method (research & development) with ASSURE model. Data collection research used documentation techniques, observation, questionnaire and test. The subject of research involves 3 teachers of subject history and 102 students XI from 3 public high schools in Jember. The results of the interactive multimedia module study showed that, the expert validation of the field of study earned 84%, validation of the linguist score of 87%, and the validation of the media expert 89,47% learning design. Beside that, user test data 1 is obtained 86,66% and user effectiveness test 2 is obtained 65,89%. And rield test is obtained 71,39%. Thus, interactive multimedia modules have been tested expertly and effectively used as learning resource teaching materials.Keywords: Interactive Multimedia Module, Adobe Flash CC (Creative Cloud), ASSURE model
