Abstract

Translator   Translator   Empowered women are agents of social change that starts with changes at the level of the individual, the family and then in the community where she lives and interacts. Similarly, in efforts to reduce poverty in rural areas, where a number of development actors jointly play a role in creating ecosystems that support the formation of women in the context of increasing women's economic productivity through the development of home industries.. The study uses a qualitative approach, with data collection techniques of interviews, observations and documentation, attended by five informants at the An-Nur Community Learning Center.  Research results show that the digitization of the household industry is a breakthrough in ensuring that the activity and productivity of the home industry continues through digitization to facilitate product marketing access. This effort is a process of empowering women in the countryside, as the terminology of digitalization requires skills in using the Internet and other applications that are electronic or digital. The study concludes that the role of multi-stakeholder partnerships can accelerate the digitization of the home industry which opens up opportunities to acquire wider knowledge of skills for women with existing internet connections.

Abstract

Learning Independence is the ability of students to regulate themselves in learning. Project-based learning mediated by peers is a learning innovation in an inclusive setting to accommodate the diverse learning needs of students by fostering student independence. The purpose of this study was to reveal the effect of project-based learning on the learning independence of students with learning disabilities. This research uses a qualitative approach with data collection techniques using questionnaires, interviews, and observations. This research involved 9 schools in West Java. The results showed that peer-mediated project-based learning affected increasing children's learning independence, especially for children with learning difficulties in mathematics. The results of this study can be used as a reference in the implementation of learning mathematics to foster learning independence.

Abstract

The implementation of inclusive education in Indonesia since 2002 has provided opportunities for all students, including those with special needs, to receive education in their nearest schools. Indonesian government regulations explicitly state that schools cannot reject students due to their disabilities. Consequently, schools across Indonesia, including those in Pekanbaru, have begun admitting students with special needs. However, challenges arise as the implementation of inclusive education varies among schools based on their understanding and perceptions. Therefore, this research aims to analyze the extent of inclusive education implementation at the preschool level in Pekanbaru using the Ainscow Inclusion Index. This study analyzes 12 preschools in Pekanbaru in serving students with special needs, providing a comprehensive overview of the inclusive culture, policies, and practices in the city.

Abstract

This study aims to explore in-depth understanding of receptive language acquisition and English language acquisition of deaf students. The focus of the research is on the aspects of receptive language acquisition and English language acquisition of deaf students. This research uses the literature analysis method which involves the study of scientific articles, research reports, and other related literature at the national and international levels that relate to the receptive language acquisition and English language acquisition of deaf students. The data was analysed qualitatively with a descriptive approach. The findings of this study are that deaf children have great potential, despite facing barriers in language acquisition. they tend to have a visual learning type, and the use of various learning media can help improve language acquisition.  A total communication approach, which involves multiple forms of communication, can help in deaf children's first language acquisition. In addition, factors such as the degree of deafness, hearing aid use, and family background also affect their language development. In foreign language learning, the use of national sign language and effective learning strategies can help deaf students overcome difficulties. And the importance of co-operation between teachers, students, parents and the learning environment is crucial in helping deaf children overcome their language challenges.

Abstract

The basic aspect that must be mastered by children with intellectual disabilities before mastering other self-development skills is doing toilet training independently. Learning for children with intellectual disabilities in carrying out toilet training activities requires a separate technique and needs to pay attention to the factors that support the success of the program. This study aims to describe the associated factors that support toilet training for children with intellectual disabilities. This study uses a qualitative approach with a type of literature review research that seeks to describe the related factors that support toilet training for children with intellectual disabilities. This literature review was conducted from August to December 2022 using PRISMA. The authors conducted searches in online databases with large repositories of academic studies and fully accessible by the authors. The results showed that: (1) the toilet training program was made based on the results of an assessment containing the abilities, needs, and potential of children with intellectual disabilities, (2) knowledge and intervention skills possessed by parents provide a great opportunity for successful toilet training for children , and (3) there is collaboration between parents and teachers regarding the implementation of toilet training. The success of toilet training for children with intellectual disabilities is influenced by many factors so that the toilet training process requires intensive assistance, especially for parents.

Abstract

This research aims to analyze the collaborative learning in inclusive schools from the perspective of teachers and its implementation. Collaborative learning will be a challenge if there are children with special needs and regular students learning together in inclusive class. This research used quantitative research method with descriptive approach. This research was conducted in 10 inclusive schools involving 20 teachers (10 special teachers and 10 regular teachers). The results showed the acceptance of the existence of children with special needs by regular teachers related to the collaboration process in inclusive schools. The collaboration levels that occurred were 50% very good (level 1), 30% good (level 2) and 20% poor (level 3). Collaborative learning will succeed when the regular teachers accept the existence of children with special needs.

Abstract

The problem in this study was motivated by the difficulty of the teacher in implementing the Inclusive Education, which have been held since 2017 at the Sungai Andai 3 Elementary School in Banjarmasin. This study aims to describe the teacher’s perception of the implementation of Inclusive Education in Sungai Andai 3 Elementary School Banjarmasin, which covers 3 aspects according to the research questions, including: Teacher perceptions of the basic concept of  children with special needs, teacher perceptions of the education for children with special needs, and teacher perceptions of facilities and infrastructure. This study uses a type of qualitative research with a descriptive approach. Information about the perceptions of each respondent was revealed through questionnaires with 22 statements and in-depth interviews as data collection techniques and documentation. Data analysis techniques in this study are data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion. The teacher referred to in this study is a class teacher and subject teacher, as well as GPK or shadow teacher without any background of special education. This study was conducted on 23 respondents who teach at Sungai Andai 3 Elementary School in Banjarmasin . The results of the study are related to the purpose of the study that the teacher’s perception of the basic concept of children with special needs was “Good”. While the Teacher’s Perception of children with special need’s education and infrastructure facilities was “Enough”. Therefore, it is concluded that the teacher’s perception of the implementation of inclusive education in Sungai Andai 3 SDN Banjarmasin was “Good”.

Abstract

The management of the training program is one of the success factors of the Subang Regency UPTD BLK in the awarding of the Vocational Training Award (PVA) in 2021. The sewing training program is The training program is in great demand by the community because it has ample job opportunities. This study aims to determine how far the management of sewing training programs can improve the basic competence of training participants at the UPTD BLK Subang Regency. This research uses a descriptive qualitative approach with data collection techniques namely interviews, observation, and documentation. The results of this study obtained that 1) at the planning stage, managers identify needs, develop goals, curricula, strategies, evaluation tools, facilities and training infrastructure with instructors, as well as training financing, 2) at the organizing stage, the manager forms a recruitment team, finance team, facilities and infrastructure team, reporting team, as well as instructors as training implementers, where each team works according to the implementation training schedule, 3) at the implementation stage, instructors provide teaching, guiding, and motivating participants so that they are enthusiastic about participating in the training until the program is finished, then during the training participants are active and have the motivation to learn to increase skills in sewing, then sources and learning media are also in accordance with the needs and can be used properly by training participants, 4) at the evaluation stage, the manager carries out a learning evaluation at the end of the program in the form of questions and practice. in addition, managers also carry out program evaluations to see the effectiveness of the implementation of the program, participants also take a competency test organized by the center to obtain a professional certificate. The result of organizing sewing training is an increase in knowledge, skills, and attitudes that participants feel after attending the training.

Abstract

 Pusat Kegiatan Belajar Masyarakat (PKBM) Assolahiyah Kabupaten Karawang Provinsi Jawa Barat melalui satuan pendidikan nonformal melaksanakan Pelatihan kewirausahaan yang kreatif dan inovatif. PKBM Assolahiyah sebagai lembaga yang berkomitmen untuk memberdayakan masyarakat memiliki inovasi dalam pengelolaan usaha sebagai produk yang dapat mengangkat perekonomian masyarakat ke arah yang lebih baik. Pengelolaan unit-unit usaha yang terpusat di PKBM Assolahiyah memungkinkan masyarakat sekitar untuk lebih fokus dalam memaksimalkan potensi lingkungan alam. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pemberdadyaan masyarakat melalui program pendidikan dan pelatihan Kewirausahaan di PKBM Assohaliyah melalui 3 tahapan yaitu perencanaan pendidikan dan pelatihan, pelaksanaan pendidikan dan pelatihan, dan evaluasi pendidikan dan pelatihan yang sudah berjalan dengan baik dan manfaat sudah dirasakan oleh kedua peserta untuk meningkatkan kemampuan berpikirnya. tetapi juga mampu meningkatkan taraf hidup mereka dengan menciptakan usaha mandiri baru. Selain meningkatkan pendapatan ekonomi, mereka juga mampu mengubah pola pikir menjadi lebih kritis dalam memenuhi kebutuhannya dengan tidak selalu mengandalkan bantuan pemerintah.Kata Kunci: Pemberdayaan Masyarakat, Pengelolaan Program, Pendidikan dan Pelatihan KewirausahaanAbstractThe Center for Community Learning Activities (PKBM) Assolahiyah, Karawang Regency, West Java Province, through non-formal education units, carries out creative and innovative entrepreneurship training. PKBM Assolahiyah as an institution that is committed to empowering the community to have innovation in business management as a product that can lift the community's economy in a better direction. Management of business units that are centralized in PKBM Assolahiyah allows the surrounding community to focus more on maximizing the potential of the natural environment. The results showed that community empowerment through the Entrepreneurship education and training program at PKBM Assohaliyah went through 3 stages, namely planning education and training, implementing education and training, and evaluating education and training which had gone well and the benefits had been felt by both participants to improve their thinking skills . but also able to improve their standard of living by creating new independent businesses. In addition to increasing economic income, they are also able to change their mindset to be more critical in meeting their needs by not always relying on government assistance.Keywords: Community Empowerment, Program Management, Entrepreneurship Education and Training

Abstract

Kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat berupa pelatihan perbaikan mutu bibit dan pupuk organik swakelola bertujuan memberikan solusi atas permasalahan dalam mengelola sampah. Solusi yang ditawarkan berupa menerapkan teknologi informasi sebagai perangkat publikasi, sosialisasi yang dilakukan secara masif kepada masyarakat dengan aplikasi edu-environment akan memberikan kemudahan informasi bagi warga untuk selalu mengelola sampah dengan baik. Perancangan teknologi informasi ini diharapkan dapat membantu permasalahan yang terdapat di masyarakat dan mengelola sampah serta menerapkan metode teknologi informasi agar memudahkan masyarakat dalam mengelola sampah tersebut. Kegiatan PKM ini dilakukan pada bulan Oktober 2022 di Kelurahan Kebun Bunga Kec. Sukarami Kota Palembang. Metode yang digunakan berupa penyuluhan dan pelatihan dan menggunakan metode mix Method. Adapun tahapan pelaksanaan kegiatan pengabdian, yaitu penyuluhan aplikasi, pelatihan. Berdasarkan hasil pelaksanaan kegiatan PKM berupa pelatihan pengelolaan sampah melalui aplikasi Edu-Environment di Kelurahan kebun Bunga Kec. Sukarami Kota Palembang, disimpulkan bahwa untuk pengelolaan sampah dengan melalui aplikasi Edu-Environment ini dapat membawa peningkatan pada masyarakat dan tentunya memberikan pemanfaatan dalam mengelola sampah dan membuat sebuah aplikasi yang bisa digunakan dan di terapkan di masyarakat
