Abstract

The teacher is the one who stands at the forefront of the success of the learning process at school. Professional teachers are those who have high performance in their field. High or low of teacher performance can be influenced by several factors, both those that come from within the teacher itself, as well as factors that come from outside themselves. This study aims to analyze the effect of school principal supervision on the performance of teachers in one high school (SMA) in Kampar Regency, Riau Indonesia. The study population was 35 senior high school teachers in Kampar Timur, Kampar Regency. Given the relatively small population, the sample was determined by the total sampling technique. Data was collected by distributing questionnaires for supervision variables, while documentation interviews were used for teacher performance variables. The results of the study show that although there is a positive influence between the supervision of school principals on the performance of teachers in SMAN 1 Kampar Timur Kampar Regency, the total number of influences is (R Square (r2) = 0.410 or accounted for 16.80%. This means that the influence of supervision variables on performance teachers only made of 16.80%, while the remaining 83.20% is determined by other factors

Abstract

The objective of the study was to analyse how positive and significant the influence of work culture toward self-control (locus of control) of certified teachers at primary schools. The population of this research were 155 certified teachers at primary school in Kuantan Tengah District. Seventy-five certified teachers were randomly selected as samples. The research was undertaken using a correlational research survey design. Data were collected using questionnaires statistically analysed to see if there were any effects on the work culture and teachers’ self-control. This study indicated a significant and positive effect of work culture on primary teachers’ self-control (locus of control). The finding implies that the increase in self-control (locus of control) is possible to achieve by strengthening the work culture.

Abstract

Madrasah Aliah Negeri (MAN) 2 Indragiri Hilir adalah sebuah instansi Pendidikan Islam Negeri yang prestasi pendidikannya setara dengan SMA berdiri pada tahun 1980 yang memiliki visi dan misi mewujudkan insan yang kuat aqidah, unggul prestasi dan berbudi pekerti luhur. Penelitian ini bertujuan (1) untuk mengetahui apakah ada pengaruh strategi teka-teki silang terhadap motivasi belajar siswa dalam pembelajaran sejarah kelas XI IPS MAN 2 Indragiri Hilir dan untuk mengetahui (2) Seberapa besar pengaruh strategi teka-teki silang terhadap motivasi belajar siswa dalam pembelajaran sejarah kelas XI IPS MAN 2 Indragiri Hilir. Jenis penelitian ini adalah penelitian kuantitatif. Menggunakan analisis regresi linier sederhana metode survei dan verifikatif. Variabel bebasnya adalah persepsi siwa tentang strategi teka-teki silang berbantuan software proprofs quiz maker dan variabel terikatnya yaitu motivasi belajar siswa. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian dapat disimpulkan bahwa dalam analisis regresi linier sederhana koefisien regresinya bernilai positif sebesar 0.312. Berdasarkan uji normalitas, linearitas didapat hasil yang positif dan normal. Namun, berdasarkan nilai signifikasi dari tabel coefficients diperoleh nilai signifikansi sebesar 0.290 > 0.05, ho diterima artinya variabel X tidak berpengaruh terhadap variabel Y. Berdasarkan nilai t diketahui nilai thitung sebesar 1.072 < ttabel 2.021, ho diterima artinya variabel X tidak berpengaruh terhadap variabel Y. Dengan demikian, perlu adanya inovasi strategi pembelajaran yang diterapkan guru harus disesuaikan dengan karakter dan kebutuhan peserta didik kelas XI di MAN 2 Indragiri Hilir.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk melihat pengaruh model pembelajaran kooperatif scramble menggunakan media bulletin terhadap hasil belajar sejarah kelas XI IPS SMAN Tuah Gemilang. Pendekatan yang digunakan adalah pendekatan kuantitatif dalam bentuk penelitian eksperimen. Penelitian ini menggunakan 2 kelas, XI IPS 1 sebagai kelas eksperimen dan kelas XI IPS 2 sebagai kelas kontrol atau disebut juga sebagai kelas banding. Penelitian ini merupakan jenis penelitian quasi eksperimen. Data yang dikumpulkan berdasarkan hasil dari pre-test dan post-test. Hasil post-test kelas eksperimen sebesar 84,05 dan kelas kontrol sebesar 75,23. Setelah semua data terkumpul diperlukan adanya analisis data. Analisis data yang dilakukan meliputi(1) pengujian terhadap instrumen yang terdiri dari uji validitas dan uji reliabilitas, (2) pengujian prasyarat yaitu pengujian sebelum menggunakan t-test dengan uji normalitas, dan uji homogenitas dan (3) pengujian hipotesis dengan uji-t. Hasil uji hipotesis didapatkan t hitung = 3,943 dan t tabel = 1,683 dengan nilai siginifikansi 0,000<0,05. Uji hipotesis penggunaan model kooperatif scramble terbukti bepengaruh dikarenakan hasil dari uji t hitung lebih besar dari t tabel. Berdasarkan kesimpulan diatas maka penulis menyarankan untuk menggunakan model pembelajaran dalam pembelajaran sejarah Kata Kunci : Model Pembelajaran Kooperatif Scramble, Hasil Belajar, Pembelajaran Sejarah.

Abstract

Nandung oral tradition is one of the oral traditions in the city of Rengat, Indragiri Hulu regency, in the province of Riau. Nandung used to be sung by mothers who wanted to put their children to sleep in the crib. The content of nandung poem is about religious education, parental love, education and nurture, noble character and advice. The aim of this study was to learn about the genesis of the oral Nandung tradition, understand the differences in the oral Nandung tradition in Rengat City, and understand the Nandung oral tradition of Talang Mamak tribe, how the development of Nandung oral tradition in modern times, find out what efforts should be made to maintain Nandung oral tradition and preserve Nandung oral tradition so that it does not experience a shift and knowledge of the process of implementation and implementation of the oral tradition of Nandung itself. The author uses qualitative research methods because in the research the author will interact directly with residents of Rengat City and see first-hand the process of implementing the Nandung Oral tradition. Data collection techniques were performed through observation, interviews and documentation studies. The results of this study explain that at present, the oral tradition of Nandung has undergone a shift that has led to the fact that the oral tradition of Nandung has been forgotten by the people of Rengat City, due to very rapid technological developments. Therefore, efforts by the government, customs and education are needed to preserve the oral Nandunt tradition so that it continues to be recognized by the people of Rengat City.

Abstract

the traditional philosophy of dalihan natolu is the philosophy of life of the Batak Toba community which has become a tradition in the life of the Batak Toba community since ancient times until now which has become the guideline and social order of the Batak Toba people, which has the three elements of the natolu pretext custom is sombah marhula-hula (respecting bones / uncles), mordongan tubu (surnames), elek marboru (coaxing girls). The purpose of the study is the philosophy of dalihan naktolu custom in the life of the Batak Toba people?, the existence of the natolu dalihan custom in the life of the Batak Toba community?, the change in the custom of the natolu dalihan in the life of the Batak Toba community?. This research uses a Qualitative Approach. A Qualitative approach was taken to determine the application of the Dalihan Natolu traditional philosophy in the life of the Batak Toba community in Pinggir District. The result of the research is that the traditional philosophy of dalihan natolu becomes the order of social life of the Batak Toba community which is a whole, harmonious, harmonious, and harmonious unit by establishing the three elements of the natolu dalihan custom, namely sombah marhula-hula (respecting bones / uncles), manat mardongan tubu (be careful who are friends / surnames), and elek marboru (persuading girls). The three elements of the natolu dalihan custom must maintain attitudes and attitudes towards others and respect each other's position in the application of the existence of the natolu dalihan custom which is always related in everyday life and in small events (mangupa, birth, member of the child's name, major events that have norms, attitudes and deeds applied in the natolu dalihan custom. The change of times that are the main factor in life, the lack of understanding / application of the three elements of the natolu dalihan custom will cause a marriage to occur and there will be a change in the custom of dalihan natolu, in life there is no attitude and respect for the position of the three elements that exist in the natolu dalihan custom

Abstract

This research analyses leadership and organizational culture's vivacious and significant influence on teacher performance in public elementary schools in Tembilahan District, Indragiri Hilir Regency. The background of this research is based on a description of the performance of state elementary school teachers in Tembilahan District, Indragiri Hilir Regency. The type of research carried out is survey research with a quantitative research approach. The population in this study was 73 elementary school teachers. The sample used in the research was 73 people. The sampling technique uses total sampling. Data collection techniques are documentation and questionnaires. The data analysis used is descriptive statistics and inferential statistics. The research results show that the influence of the principal's leadership and organizational culture on the performance of public elementary school teachers is 92.8%, and the remainder is determined by other factors that are not part of this research. The research conclusions show the influence of the principal's leadership and organizational culture on the performance of state elementary school teachers in Tembilahan District, Indragiri Hilir Regency.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the significant and positive influence of (a) academic supervision on teacher performance, (b) teacher work motivation on teacher performance, and (c) both academic supervision and work motivation on the performance of elementary school teachers in Kempas District, Indragiri Hilir Regency. This research employs a descriptive quantitative method with a correlational research technique (ex post facto). The population comprises 156 elementary school teachers, with a randomly selected sample of 113 respondents. A questionnaire was used as the research instrument, and a trial was conducted with 30 respondents outside the main sample. Data analysis was performed using descriptive and inferential statistics. The findings indicate that academic supervision positively and significantly influences teacher performance, with a significance value of 0.000 < 0.05 and a contribution of 80.8%. Similarly, work motivation has a positive and significant impact on teacher performance, with a significance value of 0.000 < 0.05 and a contribution of 82.7%. Furthermore, academic supervision and work motivation have a positive and significant effect on teacher performance, with a significance value of 0.000 < 0.05 and a combined contribution of 88.1%. In conclusion, academic supervision and work motivation are crucial factors in enhancing teacher performance.

Abstract

In response to global educational dynamics, there is a growing need for innovative collaboration between schools and communities that is deeply rooted in local cultural values. This study aims to develop the Model of School and Community Relationship Management Based on Malay Culture (MHSM-BM Model) and to evaluate its effectiveness, along with the challenges encountered during its implementation at SD Negeri 105 Pekanbaru. Utilizing a Research and Development approach guided by the ADDIE model, data were collected through observation, interviews, and document analysis, and were analyzed using techniques of data reduction, presentation, and conclusion drawing. The development of the MHSM-BM model proceeded through five stages: analyzes, which examined existing relationships between schools and stakeholders; design, which integrated Epstein’s framework with twelve principles of Tunjuk Ajar Melayu that reflect the social values of the Malay community; development, involving validation by two expert assessors; implementation, where the model was applied in the school context; and evaluation, which assessed its overall effectiveness. The findings indicate that the model achieved a high level of effectiveness, with student and parental engagement exceeding 90 percent, supported by six key frameworks: pembinaan budi pekerti (character development), dialog dua arah (two-way dialogue), kepedulian sosial (social care), pembelajaran berkelanjutan (sustainable learning), pengambilan keputusan bijaksana (wise decision-making), and kolaborasi berdaya (empowered collaboration). However, challenges remain, particularly in maintaining ongoing collaboration among educators, students, and parents. Overall, the MHSM-BM model presents significant potential for broader application as a means to establish harmonious collaboration between schools and stakeholders.

Abstract

Teacher professionalism is one of the variables that determines the success of education in the future. Based on the observation results, it is known that teacher professionalism is still low. This study seeks the effect of work motivation and school climate on teacher professionalism. This research was conducted in Pekanbaru Riau in 2024. The research sample was 130 Mathematics teachers. The sampling technique used simple random sampling with data collection techniques using questionnaires. The data analysis techniques used were simple linear regression and multiple linear regression. The research results reveal that 1) there is an effect of work motivation on the professionalism of mathematics teachers at SMAN Pekanbaru, 2) there is an effect of school climate on the professionalism of mathematics teachers at SMAN Pekanbaru, and 3) there is an effect of work motivation and work climate on the professionalism of mathematics teachers at SMAN Pekanbaru. Based on the research results, the regression equation Y = 7.954 + 0.157 obtained the meaning that each unit increasing in work motivation and school climate scores together can increase teacher professionalism scores by 0.157 and 0.661 respectively at a constant of 7.954. Therefore, it can be said that the higher the work motivation and the better the school climate as well as the greater the professionalism of Mathematic teachers at Pekanbaru State High School.
