Abstract

Patient satisfaction is a feeling that arises after someone receives a service and assesses the service he receives as expected or not. So that service providers play an important role in being able to meet the needs of every customer. The percentage of NTT residents who experienced illness but did not seek treatment for the past month claiming the main reason for not seeking outpatient in 2020, people chose to self-medicate as much as 72,81% compared to other reasons, namely waiting time for services as much 1,38%, feel no need as much as 23,16%, no transportation costs as much as 1,54%, and no medication costs as much as 1,10%. Oekabiti health center in 2021- January 2022 there is an increase and decrease in the number of outpatient visits. This study aims to determine the relationship between patient satisfaction with health services in the working area of the Oekabiti Health Center in the Covid-19 pandemic. This type of research is an analytical survey, with a design Cross Sectional Research the number of samples is 339 visitors to the Oekabiti Health Center. Selected by accidental sampling method which was researched and tested using the Chi-square test to determine the relationship with the variable of patient satisfaction with health services at the Oekabiti Health Center. The results of the research at the Oekabiti Health Center showed that there was a relationship between reliability, tangibles, responsiveness, assurance, and empathy with patient statisfaction based on the results of the Chi-square test. Wait for the uncomfortable medication to be received.

Abstract

The Maternal Mortality Rate (MMR) is an important measure of a country's health sector progress. Governments aim to lower MMR through initiatives like safe motherhood programs, which include antenatal care (ANC) services. ANC consists of regular pregnancy check-ups to prevent maternal fatalities, with six visits being the minimum recommended number. Although Tarus Community Health Center has reached the K4 service goal, it has not yet met the necessary standards.Based on the data from the Tarus Community Health Center PWS report over the past three years, the National Health Sector SPM target of 100% has not been met. The average K4 coverage was 73.10% in 2020, 70.48% in 2021, and 74.9% in 2022. The underutilization of ANC services by pregnant women at Tarus Health Center is the primary factor contributing to this low performance. This research aims to identify factors related to ANC visits in pregnant women at Tarus Community Health Center in Kupang Regency. The study utilized a quantitative descriptive research method with an analytical survey and cross-sectional approach, analyzing data from 43 individuals using the chi-square test. The findings suggest a correlation between maternal knowledge (p=0.030), parity (p=0.014), culture (p=0.000), and accessibility (p=0.014) with ANC visits. However, the study did not find a significant relationship between mother's attitude (p=0.551) and ANC visits in the research area. The community health center should improve maternal and child health education through electronic and print media. Regular visits and counseling for pregnant women can motivate them to attend antenatal care appointments.

Reports of patient complaints at the inpatient installation at Bhayangkara Kupang Hospital show low patient satisfaction. This study aimed to determine patient satisfaction in terms of the five dimensions of quality. This research is a quantitative study with a cross-sectional design in which proportional sampling (PPS) uses For this reason, the inpatient installation at Bhayangkara Kupang Hospital requires improvement in the cleanliness of bathrooms and inpatient rooms, the comfort of the waiting room, waiting time for inpatients, the time to visit patients, and the provision of suggestion boxes.

Abstract

Squid cartilage (Loligo sp.) is known to contain chitosan compounds that have antibacterial activity. This study aims to formulate chitosan from squid cartilage (Loligo sp.) in the form of handwash preparations with concentrations of 0.1%, 0.2%, and 0.3% which are physically and chemically stable, and see the optimum concentration in inhibiting bacterial growth. The method used is laboratory experiments through three stages of extraction, namely deproteination, demineralization, and deacetylation as well as physical quality tests and ability tests before and after cycling tests which include organoleptic tests, homogeneity tests, pH tests, viscosity tests, foam height tests and antibacterial activity tests against Staphylococcus aureus and Escherichia coli bacteria by the method of sumuran. The results obtained based on the ANOVA test on Staphylococcus aureus bacteria are 0.000 and on Escherichia coli bacteria are 0.000. Chitosan from squid cartilage (Loligo sp.) can be formulated in the form of a handwash preparation and the most effective concentration in inhibiting Staphylococcus aureus and Escherichia coli is a concentration of 0.3%.

Abstract

This study investigates the effectiveness of Internet of Things technologies in water quality monitoring and waste management to meet environmental standards in the pharmaceutical industry of West Java, Indonesia. The quantitative approach was used in this study. Data were collected from 55 pharmaceutical companies through a survey using a Likert scale ranging from 1 to 5. Data analysis was done using SPSS version 25. There is a positive correlation between IoT implementation in both water quality monitoring and waste management regarding environmental standards. The firms in which an IoT system was implemented outperformed others in terms of satisfaction of regulatory requirements concerning water quality and waste disposal. It also established the combined effect of IoT in both the domains on overall environmental performance. These findings reflect that IoT technologies have the potential to significantly enhance the contribution of the pharmaceutical industry towards adhering to environmental standards and sustainable development.

Abstract

The ethnopharmacological approach and One Health framework offer a novel perspective with significant potential in controlling rabies cases in East Nusa (NTT), Indonesia. Traditional medicines rooted in local knowledge can complement existing prevention and treatment strategies. This descriptive study involved 20 respondents to explore local practices related to rabies treatment. The findings indicate that integrating ethnopharmacological insights with the One Health approach can contribute significantly to rabies control, particularly in Kualin Subdistrict, South Central Timor Regency, NTT. The study identified local practices, analyzed their integration with modern medical interventions, and educated the community about rabies prevention. These results highlight the importance of incorporating ethnopharmacological knowledge into public health programs while promoting cross-sectoral collaboration in human, animal, and environmental Health. Further research is needed to evaluate the efficacy of medicinal plants used by the community. Additionally, developing community-based educational programs and strengthening collaborations between the government, non-governmental organizations, and local communities are crucial for creating effective and sustainable strategies for rabies control in NTT.

Abstract

Farmers frequently endure exhaustion and muscle aches as a result of their heavy labour, which affects their sleep quality and health. Farmers' occupational health is improved by using gradual muscle relaxation to minimize fatigue, muscle pain, and poor sleep quality. The goal of this study is to see how common muscular relaxation is and how effective it is at reducing fatigue, muscle pain, and improving sleep quality among coffee producers in Bajawa District. This research employs two different designs: descriptive observational research with a cross-sectional design and experimental design with pretest and posttest designs. A total of 240 farmers were sampled using stratified random sampling, while 18 farmers were sampled using multistage random sampling. The findings of this study using descriptive analysis revealed that fatigue, muscle pain, and sleep quality were all high among coffee farmers in Bajawa District, with 119 people (49.6%) reporting severe fatigue, 124 people (51.7%) reporting high muscle pain, and 160 people reporting poor sleep quality (66.67 %). The paired t-test yielded a p-value=0.000, indicating that administering ROP had an effect on farmer tiredness (p0.05), muscle pain (p0.05), and sleep quality (p0.05). ROP, in conclusion, has a tiredness impact that relieves fatigue, calms and comforts the environment, manages pain, and induces sleep.
