Abstract

This study aims to analyze the factors influencing the success of student organization management in Pesantren Terpadu Al-Muslim and Pesantren Modern Al-Zahrah. The primary focus is to identify the elements supporting the success of student organizations, including the selection of human resources, organizational environment, and collaboration among members. This research employs a qualitative method with a case study approach. Data were collected through in-depth interviews, observations, and documentation involving mentors, organization administrators, and pesantren leaders. The findings reveal that the success of student organization management is influenced by four key factors. First, the quality of human resources selected through a competency-based process emphasizing spiritual, academic, and managerial capabilities. Second, a supportive organizational environment, such as regular motivation and the freedom to develop new ideas. Third, strong collaboration among organization members facilitated by effective communication. Fourth, leadership that fosters synergy and shared values within the organization. The implications of this study indicate that effective student organization management requires a combination of qualified administrator selection, the creation of a conducive working environment, and synergy among organization members. These findings contribute to the development of student organization management strategies in pesantren and serve as a reference for other Islamic educational institutions in enhancing the effectiveness of student organizations.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze teachers' strategies in overcoming students' learning difficulties in the affective domain in Islamic Religious Education at SMP Negeri 04 Tanjung Raja. The problems found include low interest and motivation to learn, lack of discipline, poor attention, and students' difficulties in internalizing religious values into their daily behavior. This study used a descriptive qualitative method with data collection techniques in the form of interviews, observations, and documentation involving the principal, vice principal for curriculum, teachers, students, and parents. Data analysis was carried out through the stages of data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing and verification. The results show that affective learning difficulties are influenced by internal factors, such as low learning motivation, physical fatigue, and differences in student abilities, as well as external factors, such as monotonous learning methods, limited learning facilities, and minimal family support. To overcome these problems, teachers implemented strategies such as providing motivation, individualized approaches, using varied learning methods, creating a conducive classroom atmosphere, and conducting continuous learning evaluations. These strategies contributed positively to improving students' attitudes, responsibility, and involvement in Islamic Religious Education learning.

Abstract

This research explores the extent to which students’ self-efficacy shape their learning motivation within Islamic Religious Education (IRE) and character education at SMPN 5 Bandar Lampung. The research was driven by initial observations showing variations in students’ self-efficacy that may affect their engagement in learning. Using a quantitative correlational ex-post facto approach, information was collected from 75 seventh grade students, who were selected from a total of 414 participants using a simple random sampling technique. The instruments consisted of Likert-scale questionnaires measuring self-efficacy (12 items) and learning motivation (24 items), both validated and confirmed reliable with Cronbach’s alpha values of 0.872 and 0.894. The results clearly demonstrate that self-efficacy significantly and positively affects students’ motivation to learn. The coefficient of determination (R²) indicates that 24.4% of the variance in motivation is explained by self-efficacy, while 75.6% is influenced by other unexamined factors. Students with strong self-efficacy display greater confidence, persistence, and intrinsic drive, whereas those with low self-efficacy are more dependent and less engaged in classroom activities. The study’s originality stems from its emphasis on integrating Islamic religious education (IRE) with character education specifically within the context of junior high schools, a domain often overlooked compared to studies on science and mathematics. This study’s results offer empirical support showing that self-efficacy is a key factor influencing both students’ academic achievements and their engagement in religious and moral education. The findings emphasize the need to foster self-efficacy through supportive teaching strategies, positive feedback, and an encouraging classroom environment. These implications highlight how enhancing self-belief can foster stronger motivation and enrich educational practice.

Abstract

Abstract

This study investigates the impact of school management's administrative competence, interpersonal communication, and achievement motivation on teacher performance in public elementary schools within the Meurah Dua Subdistrict of Pidie Jaya Regency. Data were acquired from 128 teachers using a quantitative descriptive technique with a correlational survey design, employing total sampling. Questionnaires utilizing a Likert scale were administered, and the data were analyzed through Pearson correlation and multiple linear regression. The findings indicate that managerial competence significantly enhances teacher effectiveness, with the control function identified as the most prominent factor. Interpersonal communication exerts a beneficial yet rather modest impact on teacher effectiveness and achievement motivation. Achievement motivation substantially impacts teacher performance, with extrinsic motivation factors—especially income and incentives—exerting the greatest influence. Correlation study reveals moderate positive correlations between managerial competence and teacher performance (r = 0.482) and between achievement motivation and teacher performance (r = 0.391). Interpersonal communication exhibits a modest positive connection with teacher performance (r = 0.198). Managerial competence and achievement motivation strongly impact teacher effectiveness, although interpersonal communication exerts a relatively lesser influence. The study finds that augmenting management competency, fortifying effective communication, and cultivating intrinsic and extrinsic motivation are vital techniques for raising teacher effectiveness.

Abstract

The rapid progression of education in the 21st century has increased the necessity for innovation in schools, especially at the primary level where fundamental skills are cultivated. School principals serve as pivotal agents of change, with administrative proficiency being a crucial factor in promoting sustainable educational innovation. This study examines the role of principals' managerial ability in fostering and executing innovation in public elementary schools in Aceh Tamiang Regency, Indonesia. Utilizing a qualitative descriptive methodology, data were gathered via in-depth interviews, observations, and document analysis involving principals and educators from three public elementary institutions. The results indicate that principals' managerial competence—exemplified by systematic planning, collaborative organization, consistent execution, and ongoing supervision—substantially fosters innovation in educational practices, school administration, and organizational culture. Nonetheless, difficulties pertaining to inadequate infrastructure, digital preparedness, and inconsistent teacher proficiency persist as barriers to the sustainability of innovation. The study finds that enhancing principals' managerial competency via ongoing professional development and institutional support is crucial for promoting educational innovation, especially in regional elementary school settings.

Abstract

The growing digitalization of educational administration has established Management Information Systems (MIS) as vital instruments for enhancing school administration and facilitating decisions based on data. Despite its strategic importance, empirical data regarding the use of Management Information Systems in elementary education—especially in limited financial settings—remains uncommon. This study examines the planning, implementation, and evaluation of Management Information Systems (MIS) in SD Negeri 20 Kuta Makmur, a public primary school located in North Aceh Regency, employing a qualitative case study methodology, data were gathered via semi-structured interviews with school leaders, educators, and administrative personnel, supplemented by observations and document analysis. The results reveal that although the school exhibits a robust dedication to digital transformation, the efficacy of MIS implementation is hindered by insufficient infrastructure, restricted budgetary resources, and disparate digital competences among staff. Nonetheless, the technology has enhanced administrative coordination, data accessibility, and internal communication. The research indicates that effective MIS implementation relies on both technology preparedness and organizational elements, such as leadership dedication, well-defined operating protocols, and a conducive institutional culture. Without these enabling conditions, the transformational potential of digital technologies is only partially actualized. This research enhances the literature on educational digitalization by offering empirical observations from a primary school setting and presents practical implications for bolstering institutional capacity and governance in basic education via sustainable information system adoption

Abstract

Teacher performance is a crucial factor influencing educational quality, especially throughout digital transformation and pedagogical progress. This study, based on human capital theory, innovation diffusion theory, and motivational psychology, examines the impact of digital competence, learning innovation, and work motivation on the performance of junior high school teachers in Aceh Tamiang Regency, Indonesia. A quantitative explanatory design was utilized, employing 210 teachers chosen by proportional random selection. Data were gathered utilizing validated questionnaires and examined by path analysis. The findings indicate that digital competence, learning innovation, and job motivation each exert a substantial beneficial influence on instructors' performance (p < 0.05). Of these variables, work motivation exhibits the most significant direct impact, succeeded by digital competence and learning innovation. The concurrent analysis reveals that the three predictors collectively account for a significant percentage of the variance in teachers' performance, hence validating the strength of the proposed conceptual framework. These findings underscore the significance of a cohesive teacher development strategy that enhances technology proficiency, fosters educational creativity, and maintains motivational support. The study enhances the literature on educational effectiveness by presenting an empirically based model of teacher performance that encapsulates the integrated roles of competence, creativity, and motivation in the context of educational digitalization.
