Abstract

Diabetes is a chronic disease that has a significant impact on global health, with prevalence increasing every year. Therefore, early detection is crucial to prevent further complications and save lives. The utilization of technology, such as machine learning, offers innovative solutions to improve the accuracy of predicting this disease. This research develops a diabetes prediction model using the K-Nearest Neighbors (KNN) algorithm with the Pima Indians Diabetes Database dataset. Given the class imbalance in the dataset, Random Over-Sampling technique was applied to balance the data distribution. The results showed that the KNN model optimized with GridSearchCV resulted in 88% accuracy, 89% precision, 75% recall, and 82% F1-score. This approach is expected to produce a more accurate and efficient model to support early detection of diabetes, and shows the great potential of machine learning technology in improving the effectiveness of disease diagnosis and control.

Abstract

Harmonization of clearer tax regulations and a better understanding of taxation can result in improvements in taxpayer compliance with tax obligations. This study aims to examine the effect of harmonization of tax regulations and tax knowledge on taxpayer compliance. The data in this study was obtained from taxpayers in Makassar City who were registered with KPP Pratama Makassar Selatan. This study used primary and secondary data by conducting direct research in the field by providing questionnaires/statement sheets to 99 respondents. Data analysis techniques are carried out with descriptive statistical analysis and SPSS (Statistical Program for Social Science). The results showed that harmonization of tax regulations had a positive and significant effect on taxpayer compliance. Knowledge of taxation has a positive and significant effect on taxpayer compliance. Harmonization of tax regulations and knowledge of taxation simultaneously together have a positive and significant effect on taxpayer compliance.

Abstract

Paggora Water Park, a once-popular tourist destination, has experienced significant degradation in its facilities and infrastructure due to the prolonged COVID-19 lockdown. This paper examines the urgent need for comprehensive renovation and tourism design concepts to restore and enhance the park's appeal based on the opinions of Paggora Water Tourism visitors using quantitative methods, which will be analyzed using multiple linear regression techniques, ultimately providing a design concept that will fit with the service quality and visitor satisfaction. Five independent variables will be tested with the dependent variable (visitor satisfaction): tangible, reliability, responsiveness, assurance, and empathy. The results of the quantitative analysis show that the variables influencing visitor satisfaction are the tangible (positive influence) and the assurance variable (negative influence). The proposed design concept aims to apply the results of survey and quantitative analysisimproving facilities or physical forms to increase visitor satisfactioncreating an engaging and memorable visitor experience. These findings also highlight the renovation process that the team undertook and the potential for Paggora Water Park to serve as a model for similar facilities facing maintenance and resource challenges

Abstract

Software defects are an inevitable aspect of software development, exerting substantial influence on the reliability and performance of software applications. This research addresses the imperative need to enhance the prediction and monitoring of software defects within the software development domain. With a focus on system stability and the prevention of software malfunctions, this study underscores the significance of proactive measures, including robust software testing, routine maintenance, and continuous system monitoring. The central challenge addressed in this research pertains to the insufficient efficiency of predicting software defects during the development phase. To address this challenge, the study employs the Naive Bayes classification method. Test results conducted on the complete dataset reveal that the Naive Bayes method yields classifications with an exceptionally high accuracy rate, reaching 98%. These findings suggest that the method holds great potential as an effective tool for predicting and preventing software defects throughout the software development process. Additionally, through linear regression analysis, the model exhibits an intercept value of -0.09359968 and a coef coefficient of 0.00761893. The outcomes of this research bear significant implications for the implementation of the Naive Bayes method in software bug prediction analysis, particularly in the utilization of the Python programming language with the assistance of Google Colab. The adoption of this method can play a pivotal role in mitigating risks and elevating the overall quality of software during the developmental stages.

Abstract

Penelitian ini menganalisis strategi political branding Abdul Muhaimin Iskandar melalui media sosial Instagram dalam konteks Pilpres 2024. Dengan menggunakan pendekatan konstruktivis, penelitian ini mengkaji bagaimana citra politik Cak Imin dibangun dan dipersepsikan oleh audiens melalui konten Instagram yang disajikan secara strategis oleh tim kampanye. Metode analisis yang digunakan adalah analisis framing model Robert N. Entman, yang mencakup empat komponen utama: mendefinisikan masalah, mengidentifikasi penyebab, memberikan penilaian moral, dan menawarkan solusi. Data dikumpulkan melalui postingan Instagram yang diunggah antara 19 Oktober 2023 hingga 20 Maret 2024, termasuk elemen visual, tekstual, dan data engagement. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa framing yang dilakukan Abdul Muhaimin melalui narasi visual, teks, dan interaksi langsung dengan audiens berhasil membangun citra positif yang humanis, inklusif, dan responsif terhadap isu-isu sosial. Penelitian ini juga menunjukkan tantangan yang dihadapi dalam menggunakan media sosial, seperti penyebaran hoaks, persaingan dengan kandidat lain, dan manajemen audiens yang beragam. Penelitian ini memberikan gambaran mengenai efektivitas Instagram sebagai alat dalam membangun citra politik dan memengaruhi persepsi publik dalam era digital. This study analyzes the political branding strategy of Abdul Muhaimin Iskandar through the social media platform Instagram in the context of the 2024 Presidential Election. Using a constructivist approach, the research examines how Cak Imin's political image is constructed and perceived by the audience through strategically presented Instagram content by his campaign team. The analysis method used is Robert N. Entman’s framing model, which includes four key components: defining the problem, diagnosing causes, making moral judgments, and suggesting remedies. Data were collected from Instagram posts published between October 19, 2023, and March 20, 2024, including visual elements, text, and engagement data. The results show that Abdul Muhaimin’s framing through visual narratives, text, and direct interaction with the audience effectively builds a positive image that is humanistic, inclusive, and responsive to social issues. The study also highlights challenges faced in using social media, such as the spread of hoaxes, competition with other candidates, and managing a diverse audience. This research provides insights into the effectiveness of Instagram as a tool for building political image and influencing public perception in the digital era.

Abstract

Tujuan - Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk membuktikan pengaruh lingkungan kerja fisik, motivasi kerja, self efficacy, self esteem terhadap kinerja karyawan CV Surya Sejati Wonosobo. Metode – Pengumpulan data dalam penelitian ini menggunakan kuesioner yang disebar kepada karyawan CV Surya Sejati Wonosobo. Sampel dalam penelitian ini sebanyak 110 responden diambil dari rumus Slovin. Analisis data dalam penelitian ini menggunakan analisis statistik deskriptif, uji kualitas data,uji reliabel, uji f, uji asumsi klasik, uji hipotesis dengan metode regresi linier berganda, dan uji koefisien determinasi. Hasil - Penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa variabel lingkungan kerja fisik, motivasi kerja, self efficacy, self esteem berpengaruh positif terhadap kinerja karyawan. Orisinalitas – Penelitian ini dilakukan pada karyawan CV Surya Sejati Wonosobo untuk mengkaji faktor yang signifikan mempengaruhi kinerja karyawan.

Abstract

Local people in Ternate, North Maluku, often use local languages to communicate on social media. This poses a challenge for newcomers to understand the implied meaning and emotions of the messages conveyed through social media. This research aims to develop a natural language processing (NLP)-based emotion classification method that can be applied to Ternate Malay text datasets. The application of NLP is expected to improve the accuracy of emotion detection and classification in the text. The research was conducted by applying and comparing the performance of several classification models trained using Ternate Malay text datasets. The models used include SVM (Support Vector Machine), K-Nearest Neighbors (KNN) Random Forest, Decision Tree and Logistic Regression. Each model is applied using BoW (Bag-of-Words) and Word2Vec vectorization representations. The evaluation results show that the BoW+SVM model provides the highest performance with 77% accuracy, followed by BoW+Random Forest (75%) and BoW+Logistic Regression (73%). Thus it can be concluded that NLP can be applied to the Ternate Malay language dataset to classify emotions based on text.

Abstract

Wabah Covid-19 berdampak sangat buruk pada kesejahteraan psikologis anak-anak di desa Pakisjajar, yaitu kecanduan gawai. Kecanduan gawai ini dipicu oleh pembelajaran daring yang dilakukan selama masa pandemi. Kecanduan gawai membawa berbagai akibat buruk yang dapat mempengaruhi psikologis dan prestasi belajar anak-anak. Untuk mengatasi kecanduan gawai, kami mengadakan festival permainan tradisional yang menyasar pada anak-anak usia sekolah. Festival permainan tradisional ini melibatkan partisipasi masyarakat di desa Pakisjajar dalam kepanitiaan yang menyelenggarakan kegiatan ini. Hasil dari kegiatan ini adalah meningkatnya pengetahuan dan minat anak-anak terhadap berbagai permainan tradisional yang dapat mengalihkan perhatian anak-anak dari gawai.

Abstract

Religious plurality anywhere in the world, except for certain places, is a reality that cannot be denied. Contacts between communities of different cultures are increasing. Indonesia is known as a pluralistic society, this can be seen from the existing social reality. Evidence of its plurality can also be proven through the motto Bhinneka Tunggal Ika. multicultural education is a solution to calm as well as a solution to education in Indonesia. This work was compiled based on data in the form of library research with a philological-phenomenological approach. From this study, it was found that the values of multicultural education can be found in the Qur'an and Hadith and can be implemented by implementing several things such as building an inclusive religious paradigm in the school environment, respecting language diversity in schools, building gender sensitive attitudes in schools, building critical understanding of social differences, building anti-ethnic discrimination attitudes, respecting differences in abilities, and respecting age differences.

Abstract

This study aims to understand how the leadership strategy of the institution’s head can improve the quality of the Institute of Social Sciences and Development (LIPS). The focus is on how leaders manage members, build a vision that is open to all, and create an effective, flexible, and sustainable work system. This study employs a qualitative approach, utilizing a case study method, to examine leadership practices in social and religious organizations in greater depth. Data were collected through direct interviews with the institution’s head and members, observations of organizational activities, and official documents owned by the institution. The study's results indicate that the most suitable leadership strategy for LIPS is a participatory and transformative leadership style. This means that leaders encourage cooperation, are open and transparent in communication, provide ongoing coaching, and involve all parties in the decision-making process. This approach has been proven to enhance program quality, foster a stronger work culture within the organization, and encourage active participation from members in achieving common goals. These findings suggest that leaders of social organizations should adopt leadership styles tailored to the field’s specific conditions and grounded in shared values, thereby ensuring the organization’s quality continues to improve comprehensively and sustainably.
