Abstract

Discipline character education in early childhood refers to instilling obedience to rules at home, school, and in society for children aged 0–6 years. This education serves as a crucial foundation for shaping future generations. This study aims to examine the implementation of traffic ethics education for young children, the strategies used, and influencing factors at Al-Anshor Islamic Kindergarten Palembang in the 2023/2024 Academic Year. A qualitative descriptive method was employed, involving two teachers (Class A and B) as the main data sources. Data were collected through observation, interviews, and documentation. The findings reveal that the strategy for teaching traffic ethics includes: (1) Planning, by integrating traffic ethics indicators into RKM and RPPH; (2) Implementation, through integration in learning activities, school culture, and daily routines; and (3) Evaluation, conducted in conjunction with other learning assessments. The character values fostered through this process include self-confidence, discipline, and responsibility. These findings suggest that incorporating traffic ethics education into early childhood learning can effectively instill discipline, contributing positively to children's character development and awareness of civic responsibility from an early age.

Abstract

Numeracy literacy is an important basic skill in learning mathematics, especially at the primary school level. It includes the skills of understanding, interpreting and solving mathematical problems linked to real-life contexts. However, many students still face difficulties in solving math story problems due to weak understanding of the content of the problem and inability to choose the right solution strategy. This study aims to analyze the numeracy literacy skills of fourth grade students in solving mathematical story problems and identify the factors that influence it. The method used was descriptive qualitative with the subject of 15 students at SD Negeri Pohijo 01. Three students were selected as samples based on high, medium, and low ability categories. The results showed that 20% of students were in the high, 47% medium, and 33% low categories. Students with high ability are able to understand the contents of the problem and develop strategies systematically. Students in the medium category can understand some of the contents of the problem, but are not consistent in choosing the solution steps. Meanwhile, students in the low category had difficulty in reading the text, made mistakes in choosing calculation operations, and tended to answer based on guesses. Factors that influence students' abilities include reading skills, experience of contextual problems, learning strategies, and learning motivation. This study emphasizes the importance of strengthening critical reading and applying contextual approaches in mathematics learning.

Abstract

This study examines the tax revenue and administration system of the brave in Greater Tangerang in the context of low technology adoption despite the initiation of e-government and smart city programs. The study aims to analyze the factors that influence the revenue system using the Technology Acceptance Model (TAM) framework. The method used is a quantitative approach with an explanatory research type, using Partial Least Squares Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM) to analyze the relationship between variables. Data were collected from 357 taxpayer respondents through a brave questionnaire. The results of the study indicate that perceived ease of use and perceived benefits have a significant effect on attitudes and actual use of the brave tax administration system. System complexity was found to have a negative impact on ease of use, while system compatibility increased the benefits perceived by users. These findings are in line with the TAM framework, which emphasizes the importance of user perception in determining technology acceptance. To increase acceptance of the brave tax system, the government needs to prioritize complexity and improve system compatibility through user education and technical support. The results of the study provide theoretical contributions by strengthening the TAM framework in the context of public digital services, as well as providing practical recommendations for optimizing the implementation of the brave tax administration system.

Abstract

Abstract.  The 21st century requires individuals to have the ability to think comprehensively, especially in critical and creative thinking. However, there is a significant gap between global competency demands and student competency achievement in Indonesia. The results of the PISA study show that the literacy skills of Indonesian students are still relatively low, including in terms of numeracy or contextual problem solving. Based on a preliminary study of 658 vocational school students in Semarang, as many as 81.9% considered mathematics as a difficult subject. This research uses a qualitative approach with the Design Thinking method and ADDIE R&D model development design. The stages of Design Thinking applied include: the empathize stage to explore students' learning needs through interviews and observations; the definition stage to identify the main problems in learning; the ideate stage to design an AKM-based learning solution; prototype stage to create interactive media and LKPD; as well as the test stage to implement the media and assess its effectiveness through the Minimum Competency Assessment (AKM). Numeracy ability is studied through three main indicators, namely (1) the use of numerical and symbolic representations, (2) information analysis in the form of tables, graphs, images, and diagrams, and (3) the formulation of conclusions or predictions from available data. Data is collected through tests and analyzed descriptively as well as statistical tests. The results of the analysis showed that of 36 students in grade XI of SMK Negeri 1 Semarang, 86% had numeracy skills in the very high category and 14% in the high category, obtained a significance value (Sig.) for class XI TO 2 of 0.109 and for class XI TO 3 of 0.134. Both values are greater than 0.05, so it can be concluded that the data from both classes come from a normally distributed population. The average post-test score of the experimental class was 85.39 higher than the control class of 84.16. This indicates that the work on AKM questions and the use of media based on the Design Thinking approach contribute statistically significantly to improving students' numeracy skills. Thus, AKM has proven to be effective as a measuring tool as well as a strategy to increase numeracy in mathematics learning at vocational schools. Keywords: Minimum Competency Assessment, Numeracy Ability of Vocational School Students, Design Thinking Approach in Mathematics.
