Abstract

Abstract

Hypertension is a prevalent condition among older adults and is associated with serious complications, including cardiovascular disease, stroke, and renal failure. Non-pharmacological interventions, particularly the use of functional foods, have gained increasing attention due to their natural benefits and minimal adverse effects. This case study aimed to evaluate the effect of daily watermelon juice consumption on blood pressure in a 61 year old woman with a history of hypertension residing in Dusun Walahir Tonggoh, Welasari Village, Majalengka Regency. The patient received 300 mL of freshly prepared watermelon juice once daily for four consecutive days. Nursing care was delivered using the nursing process, including assessment, diagnosis, intervention, implementation, and evaluation. Blood pressure was measured before and after the intervention using a manual sphygmomanometer. The results demonstrated a clinically meaningful reduction in blood pressure, from an average of 155/90 mmHg to 140/80 mmHg, indicating the potential effectiveness of watermelon juice in lowering blood pressure. This study concludes that watermelon juice may serve as a promising, natural, and affordable complementary therapy to support hypertension management in elderly patients.

Abstract

The digital transformation in education has opened up new opportunities to create more interactive, personalized, and flexible learning experiences. One pedagogical model that is currently receiving attention is the Design Thinking (DT) approach. However, the virtual format itself has the potential to undermine one of the main principles of the DT model, namely the experience-based principle. As interest in the application of DT in virtual learning contexts increases, several studies have attempted to examine its effectiveness, learning outcomes, and barriers encountered. The results of a systematic literature review indicate that the application of the DT approach in a Virtual Learning Environment (VLE) is not only possible but also has the potential to accelerate the transformation of education towards a more collaborative, human-centered, and solution-oriented model. However, its success depends on technological readiness, facilitator capabilities, and pedagogical innovation. The results of a systematic literature review show that the DT approach is effective in increasing engagement and motivation to learn even in VLEs. This approach is able to create a more active, collaborative, and meaningful learning experience, even in online and asynchronous situations. Virtual collaboration can be creatively facilitated through the DT structure. Even without physical meetings, the DT process can still be carried out effectively with the support of digital technology and appropriate learning methods.

Abstract

Islamic law that is of particular concern in positive law is the law of marriage. A marriage carried out by a person will give rise to inheritance laws for their children if the marriage is carried out with a valid contract and is justified by Islamic law. Inheritance law itself is a law that regulates the transfer of wealth from a deceased person to a living person because the existence of these rules is justified by Islamic law, although in practice this inheritance can be seen from several angles, because of marriage, because of kinship and so on, the question is how is the position of children in an incestuous marriage, and whether the status of the child's inheritance incest is the same as the position of the Muslim inheritance in an incestuous marriage. That the position of children in an incestuous marriage is the same as the position of children in a legal marriage, because an incestuous marriage itself is a legal marriage as long as there is no annulment, and when an annulment occurs against a marriage, it does not apply retroactively to the status of the child's position, because the annulment of a marriage does not immediately result in the annulment of a child who has been born, an incestuous marriage has been in accordance with the provisions at the beginning. It can be understood that the distribution of inheritance to children of incestuous marriages is the same as the distribution of inheritance to legitimate children, because incestuous children are legitimate children and not children born from adultery or interfaith marriages, so that the position of incestuous children is the same as the position of legitimate children in receiving inheritance and can inherit from both parents, both from the mother and father. Abstract

This study examines the representation of moral values in Hikayat Prabu Anom Volume 2 through the lens of Immanuel Kant’s deontological ethics. The analysis focuses on three main categories of moral values: divine moral values, social moral values, and personal moral values. The method used is descriptive qualitative with content analysis techniques applied to selected passages in the text that reflect ethical dimensions. The data is analyzed by identifying the actions and dialogues of central characters that embody moral principles such as duty, goodwill, and moral autonomy. The findings reveal that divine moral values are reflected in the characters’ submission to divine will and their sincere devotion through spiritual practices such as meditation and worship. Social moral values are evident in the just and wise actions of Prabu Anom, who shows concern for his people, honors the service of royal officials, and nurtures familial ties with fellow rulers. Meanwhile, personal moral values emerge through emotional self-control, consistency in principles, and the courage and responsibility demonstrated by the characters in times of conflict. The study concludes that Hikayat Prabu Anom Volume 2 is not only a heroic narrative but also a literary work rich in ethical values that align with universal moral principles and remain relevant in contemporary life.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the influence of learning Aqidah Akhlak on the rasa karsa (emotional and volitional aspects) of students at MAN 1 Bogor Regency. The background of this research is rooted in the importance of Aqidah Akhlak learning in shaping students' faith and noble character, as reflected in their rasa karsa—which encompasses inner sensitivity and the will to act according to Islamic values. This research employed a quantitative approach using a survey method with questionnaires distributed to 100 students as the sample. Data analysis included validity and reliability tests, simple regression analysis, and t-tests. The results showed that both the learning of Aqidah Akhlak and the students’ rasa karsa levels were in the "good" category. Furthermore, the regression analysis revealed that learning Aqidah Akhlak has a positive and significant influence on students’ rasa karsa. Abstract

After the Padri War (1803-1837), Tuanku Imam Bondjol was exiled by the Dutch colonial government to Minahasa and Manado. During his exile in Manado, his son, Naali Sutan Caniago, who accompanied Tuanku Imam Bondjol during his exile, wrote a manuscript about his father's struggle. This manuscript is called the Tambo Tuanku Imam Bondjol Manuscript, which is a single manuscript (codex unicus). In general, this manuscript contains a summary of the history of the Padri War in West Sumatra in the 19th century. It contains Tuanku Imam Bondjol's memoirs, his thoughts, and notes on the Padri war. In this study, the Tambo Tuanku Imam Bondjol manuscript is examined using philological and historical methods. This manuscript has been transliterated and translated by Safnir Abu Naim, However, this study will trace the philological stages carried out on the Tambo Tuanku Imam Bondjol manuscript to demonstrate its originality and authenticity. The problem examined in this study is how the Tambo Tuanku Imam Bondjol manuscript stands as a historical source of the Padri War. To that end, a textual study of the translation of the manuscript was conducted using the Critical Discourse Analysis (CDA) method modeled by Teun A. Van Dijk. This study also uses the Historical Method with the ultimate goal of compiling a historiography of the struggle of Tuanku Imam Bondjol and the Padri War. From the results of the study, it is concluded that the Tambo Tuanku Imam Bondjol manuscript is an authentic source of the Padri War, a first-hand historical source originating from indigenous records. Before the discovery of this manuscript, sources for the Padri War were generally only from colonial archives.

Abstract

Modern hypnotherapy methods have a greater role to 'open' awareness in knowing the main problem and helping to heal or solve the problem by himself. someone becomes more comfortable with his condition and can accept his condition, so it does not interfere with activities or daily activities. Lack of motivation can reduce self-confidence where every individual, be it an employee, teacher, student, housewife or entertainer desperately needs self-confidence in all fields. The purpose of this community service is to train the participants in applying hypnosis and hypnotherapy and to change the mindset of the participants towards that knowledge. The method used is the presentation of material through seminars and frequently asked questions and simulations both individually and in groups. The result of devotion is that the participants are able to implement hypnosis and hypnosis for the needs of increased motivation, treatment and self-development both for themselves and to help others who experience constraints of confidence and improve performance. The next activity the community service team will conduct hypnoteaching training for teachers and hypomotivation for students.
