Abstract

The low ability to tell short stories is one of the problems so that students tend to be rigid, lack confidence, and have difficulty expressing themselves emotionally. There is a gap between the demands of the curriculum that requires students to be skilled in communicative speaking and the reality in the field, showing that literary learning is still conventional and theoretical. This study aims to describe and analyze the internalization of characters through the Role Playing learning method in improving students' short story skills. The research paradigm used is qualitative with data collection methods in the form of non-participatory observations, limited interviews with teachers and students, and documentation. The findings of the study show that (1) The Role Playing Method is effective in building confidence so that it can create organic improvisation and natural gestures through the internalization of character characters; (2) Gestures and aspects of intonation, as well as articulation undergo changes through the process of imitation and creative sound experimentation; (3) Students no longer just memorize texts, but are able to bring the narrative to life through the synchronization of vocals and facial expressions. It was concluded that the Role Playing method succeeded in changing the storytelling learning paradigm from just an academic task to a creative form of self-actualization, improving the quality of storytelling, and successfully creating a supportive and appreciative classroom ecosystem.

Abstract

The low activity of students in elementary school is often identified by the lack of active participation, such as students who are passive in listening, reluctant to ask questions, discuss, or do class assignments. This is due to teacher-centered learning methods, abstract/boring materials, and psychological factors such as fear of mistakes and lack of confidence that reduce motivation and focus on learning. This study aims to describe the application of Canva technology-based learning in increasing student activity at SDIT Cendekia Purwakarta. The researcher uses a case study approach. Data were collected through observation, interviews, and documentation methods of learning activities. The results showed that the use of Canva-based learning media significantly increased student activity characterized by increased interaction, participation in discussions, and motivation to learn. Canva Media has proven to be an engaging and interactive learning tool. The conclusion of the study is that the application of Canva technology-based learning can be used as an innovative alternative to improve the quality of learning in elementary schools.

Abstract

Inclusive education is one of the educational approaches that guarantees the learning rights of all students, including children with special needs (ABK). However, in practice, the implementation of inclusive education services in primary schools still faces various challenges, especially limited human resources, and understanding of school residents. This study aims to describe the application of inclusive education services in shaping the character of regular students in interacting with students with special needs. The research uses a qualitative research paradigm with a case study approach. The data collection method was carried out through non-participatory observation, structured interviews, and documentation studies. Data analysis is carried out in the stages of data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawn, and supported by triangulation of sources and techniques to ensure the validity of the data. The results of the study show that (1) inclusive education services are implemented through the combination of students with special needs and regular students in one class, accompanied by material modification, learning differentiation, use of visual media, and group learning with peer assistance; (2) The implementation of these services has a positive impact on the development of students' character, especially empathy, tolerance, cooperation, social concern, and mutual respect; (3) The implementation of inclusion still faces obstacles in the form of limited special assistant teachers, minimal support facilities, and gaps in abilities between students. This study concludes that the implementation of inclusive education services can form a positive character of students.

Abstract

The global development of the Industrial Revolution 4.0 and Society 5.0 demands the transformation of education towards Deep Learning to cultivate 21st century skills. The implementation of this concept in elementary schools still focuses on administration, while to drive the education ecosystem depends on the level of teacher motivation which is the spearhead of changes in the quality of learning services. This study aims to describe and analyze the leadership of school principals which includes planning, organizing, implementing, and supervising in implementing four Deep Learning frameworks to increase teacher motivation at SDN Ciwangi. The research method used is qualitative with a case study approach. The data collection method was carried out through non-participatory observation, in-depth interviews, and documentation studies, which were then analyzed using the Miles, Huberman, and Saldana interactive model including data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawn. The findings of the study show that (1) Principals have implemented participatory and visionary leadership; (2) The implementation of leadership is transformational through technological example and the creation of a psychologically safe environment, so that teachers dare to innovate without fear of making mistakes. This study concluded that the synergy of leadership management with the four deep learning frameworks succeeded in changing teachers' motivation from mere extrinsic compliance to intrinsic professional commitment (self-efficacy and inner satisfaction).

Abstract

This research is based on the challenges of moral degradation and empathy crises among the younger generation due to digital disruption, as well as the gap between character education policies and practical realities in the field that still tend to be cognitive. This study aims to analyze the implementation of the "Beas Kaheman" habituation program as a form of revitalization of Sundanese local wisdom (perelek) in building the character of mutual cooperation, empathy, and religiosity in students, the researcher uses a case study approach with a qualitative type of research. Data was collected through methods, participatory observations, in-depth interviews with principals, teachers, and students, and documentation in the form of progress reports on the collection of Beas Kaheman results. The selection of samples in the study was carried out by purposive sampling. The data analysis technique follows the Miles and Huberman model which includes data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing and verification. The results of the study showed that: (1) The implementation of Beas Kaheman was carried out in a structured manner every Thursday (in conjunction with the Nyanding Wawangi program), students voluntarily brought a handful of rice to be distributed to those in need. (2) This program can or succeeds in internalizing the main character values, namely social care (empathy), mutual cooperation, religiosity, and responsibility. (3) There is a positive transformation in student consciousness, from motivation that was initially instructional to intrinsic motivation (self-awareness) which is characterized by consistency of participation. (4) The main supporting factors are the example of teachers and parental support, while the inhibiting factors include limited storage facilities and lack of communication intensity with some parents. This study concludes that habituation based on local wisdom is effective as a concrete model of character education in schools.
