Abstract

This research was motivated by observations at SMP Negeri 7 Bukittinggi. The observation results show that there are still many VII grade students who have low mathematical reflective thinking skills. One of the reasons for the low mathematical reflective thinking ability of students is because they are not accustomed to working on non-routine problems that contain indicators of mathematical reflective thinking ability. The purpose of this study was to describe the mathematical reflective thinking ability of students in class VII.2 SMP Negeri 7 Bukittinggi in the 2024/2025 academic year in solving mathematical problems. This type of research is descriptive quantitative used to provide a clear picture of the level of student ability in mathematical reflective thinking. The research subjects were students of class VII.2 who had been selected through purposive sampling technique and data collection using instruments in the form of mathematical problems solving tests designed to measure indicators of reflective thinking. The results showed that students' ability in mathematical reflective thinking was still concerning. Only 14.29% of students are in the sufficient category, 50% in the low category, and 35.71% in the very low category based on the results of the data analysis that has been done. The overall average of students in mathematical reflective thinking is 58.8%, which is included in the low category. This shows that most students have difficulty identifying what is known and asked in the problem (reacting), comparing and connecting old problems with new problems (comparing/elaborating), and reflecting and re-evaluating their answers before drawing conclusions (contemplating).

Abstract

Prestasi matematika yang kurang baik pada siswa kelas delapan SMPN 1 Ampek Angkek inilah yang mendorong penelitian ini. KKTP sekolah dirindukan oleh banyak siswa—tepatnya 71 siswa. Masalah lainnya adalah siswa tidak cukup melatih pengendalian diri dalam hal kedisiplinan pada pelajaran matematika. Jelaslah bahwa sejumlah besar siswa tidak sepenuhnya terlibat dalam mempelajari konten tersebut. Mereka berbicara santai dengan teman-teman atau tidak berpakaian dengan pantas. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui sejauh mana metode pembelajaran driil berdampak baik pada hasil pembelajaran maupun kedisiplinan siswa dalam matematika Kelas VIII SMPN 1 Ampek Angkek selama tahun ajaran 2024/2025. Desain Perbandingan Kelompok Statis digunakan dalam studi pra-eksperimental ini. Sebanyak 282 siswa kelas delapan menjadi populasi dalam penelitian ini. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan random sample untuk memilih peserta setelah dilakukan uji homogenitas kelas populasi, kesamaan rata-rata, dan kenormalan. Siswa dari dua kelas yang berbeda-satu mewakili kelompok eksperimen dan yang lainnya mewakili kelompok kontrol-membuat sampel yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini. Berdasarkan temuan tersebut, tes hasil belajar matematika dan survei disiplin mahasiswa memberikan data. Dalam penelitian ini, uji-T digunakan untuk analisis data. Hasil berikut diperoleh dari studi data pembelajaran matematika siswa: t_hitung=2.160, t_tabel=1.67, dan SIG. = 0,035, semua menggunakan program SPSS. Selain itu, dengan menggunakan SPSS untuk menganalisis data dari kuesioner disiplin siswa, kami menemukan bahwa SIG=0,021, dan t_hitung=2,364 dan t_tabel=1,67. "Terdapat pengaruh yang signifikan dari metode pembelajaran drill terhadap hasil belajar dan kedisiplinan siswa pada mata pelajaran matematika kelas VIII SMPN 1 Ampek Angkek tahun ajaran 2024/2025" dapat disimpulkan berkat fakta bahwa t_count>t_table dan SIG.< ③=0.05.

Abstract

This study is founded on the issues identified, specifically the dearth of learning resources, the LKPD's lack of training in mathematical critical thinking, and the fact that the LKPD that is currently available was created by educators who did not follow a scientific methodology, which has led to students' low levels of mathematical critical thinking. In order to educate mathematical critical thinking skills in class VIII MTsS Asy-Syarif Koto Laweh for the 2023–2024 academic year, this project intends to produce LKPD based on a scientific approach that satisfies the requirements of validity, practicality, and effectiveness. Using Sugiyono's development paradigm, this study is called research and development, or R&D. Student answer surveys, mathematical critical thinking ability assessments, and validation sheets are the equipment. The techniques for data analysis that are employed are validity analysis, practicality analysis, analysis of effectiveness. Based on development study conducted, LKPD is obtained with a validity level of 84.2%, of which 82.33% are on extremely practical criteria, 78.94% are on effective criteria, and 82.33% are on highly valid criteria for the level of practicality. We may conclude that the LKPD Asy-Syarif Koto Laweh created, which is based on the Scientific Approach to Train Mathematical Critical Thinking Skills in Class VIII MTsS, satisfies the requirements of being valid, practical, and efficient.

Abstract

This research was motivated by the problems found, namely the lack of learning media, the LKPD used had not trained mathematical problem solving abilities, the existing LKPD was LKPD created by educators who had not been connected to Islamic teachings, resulting in a decline in students' mathematical problem solving abilities. This research aims to produce LKPD integrating Islamic values to train problem solving skills in class This research is development research or RnD using the Sugiyono development method. The instruments used were validation sheets, student response questionnaires, and mathematical problem solving ability tests. The data analysis techniques used are validity data analysis, practicality analysis, and effectiveness analysis. Based on the development research that has been carried out, an LKPD with a validity level of 80% is in the valid qualification, for the practicality qualification, namely 78.41% is in the practical criteria, and for the effectiveness level, namely 80,76% is in the effective qualification. It can be concluded that the LKPD integrates Islamic values to train mathematical problem solving abilities which was developed including valid, practical and effective criteria.

Abstract

This research is based on the background of the problems found in grade IX of SMP N 1 Gunuang Omeh District that the low motivation of students in learning mathematics, this is characterized by students who look lazy in learning and only a few students pay attention when the teacher explains the material. Then, from the results of the students' daily test scores, it was also found that the low ability to understand mathematical concepts of grade IX students at SMP N 1, Gunuang Omeh District. The formulation of the problem in this study is how is the motivation of students to learn in mathematics subjects using the Student Teams Achievement Division (STAD) type cooperative learning model for grade IX at SMP N 1 Gunuang Omeh District for the 2023/2024 Academic Year and whether there is a significant positive influence using the Student Teams Achievement Division (STAD) type cooperative learning model on the ability to understand mathematics concepts of grade IX students at SMP N 1 Kecamatan Gunuang Omeh for the 2023/2024 Academic Year. This type of research is a quasi-experimental experiment with a Randomized Control Group Only Design research design. The population in this study is all grade IX students at SMP N 1, Gunuang Omeh District. Sampling was determined at random first by a normality test, a homogeneity test, and an average similarity test on population data. The sample in this study is class IX-2 as the experimental class and class IX-3 as the control class. The results of the analysis of the student mathematics learning motivation questionnaire data were obtained with a percentage of 72.28% with high motivation criteria and the test of students' ability to understand mathematical concepts was calculated using the t-test obtained tcount = 3.180 and and ttable = 1.672 because tcount > ttable means subtracting H0 and accepting H1 at the real level α=0.05, and by using SPSS26 Sig = 0.003 was obtained which means that sig ≤α with α=0.05.

Abstract

Penelitian ini membahas peran perempuan dalam perspektif pendidikan Islam dengan menggunakan metode penelitian kepustakaan (library research). Perempuan memiliki peran sentral dalam pendidikan, baik dalam lingkungan keluarga, pendidikan formal, maupun nonformal. Dalam keluarga, perempuan berfungsi sebagai madrasah pertama bagi anak-anaknya, yang menanamkan nilai-nilai tauhid, akhlak, serta keterampilan dasar yang membentuk karakter dan kepribadian mereka. Dalam pendidikan formal, perempuan berperan sebagai tenaga pendidik yang berkontribusi dalam mencerdaskan generasi. Sementara dalam pendidikan nonformal, perempuan berpartisipasi dalam kegiatan dakwah, kajian keislaman, serta berbagai forum sosial yang bertujuan meningkatkan pemahaman keagamaan masyarakat. Melalui kajian literatur dari berbagai sumber keislaman, penelitian ini menegaskan bahwa pendidikan Islam memberikan penghargaan tinggi terhadap peran perempuan, sebagaimana dicontohkan oleh tokoh-tokoh perempuan dalam sejarah Islam. Oleh karena itu, memberikan kesempatan luas bagi perempuan untuk berperan dalam dunia pendidikan merupakan langkah strategis dalam membangun generasi yang berilmu, berakhlak, dan bertakwa.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of Student Activity Oriented Learning (PBAS) strategy on mathematics learning outcomes. This pre-experimental study used a research design. Static Group Analysis using Isolated Randomised Control Group Architecture. The demographics of this study consisted of VIII grade students of SMP N 4 Kinali. The sampling technique used was random sampling. In this research sample, Class VIII.3 represented the experimental group, while Class VIII.1 as the control group. The calculation results show that t_(count) is smaller than ttable. This means that the Ho test decision is rejected with a significance level of α = 0.05. At a significance level of α = 0.05, the P value is determined to be 0.001 through Minitab, indicating that the P value is below α. Ho's agreement was rejected, while H1 was granted. The results showed that the application of Student Activity Oriented Learning (PBAS) strategies significantly improved the academic achievement of students in class VIII of SMP N 4 Kinali in the 2023/2024 school year

Abstract

The diversity of methods of interpreting the Qur'an so far shows the intellectual dynamics of Muslims in facing the changing times. The conventional approach that has been developed by classical scholars has begun to be felt to be unable to fully answer increasingly complex and global contemporary problems. The emergence of various new schools of thought, both scientific and social, has enriched and complicated efforts to interpret sacred texts. This raises an urgent need to develop an interpretation method that is able to integrate scientific and social approaches in understanding the meaning and message of the Qur'an. This study aims to explore the possibility of developing a more comprehensive method of interpreting the Qur'an, by combining scientific and social approaches. This study uses a literature study approach to examine the interpretation of the Qur'an. The research method includes collecting detailed library data from primary sources, contemporary interpretation texts, academic journals, and related books. Data analysis is carried out through the partial thematic analysis method, by systematically reviewing the texts to identify scientific topics and concepts that combine modern knowledge with authentic interpretation of the Qur'an. The results of this study show that the general description of the study of the Qur'an and Hadith, and explain the study of the interpretation of the Qur'an and the importance of interpretation in understanding and interpreting the meaning of the Qur'an, understanding objective interpretation and scientific interpretation, and the relationship between scientific interpretation and objective interpretation. This article discusses the advantages and disadvantages of both and also encourages strengthening cooperation between experts in various disciplines to understand the interpretation of the verses of the Qur'an comprehensively and deeply, and also emphasizes the importance of continuous renewal and scientific review in developing our understanding of the Qur'an.

Abstract

This study was motivated by a problem identified in Grade VIII at SMPN 1 Sasak Ranah Pesisir, where students demonstrated low mathematical problem-solving abilities. This issue is suspected to have caused many students to perform below the minimum competency criteria in problem-solving. To address this issue, the researcher implemented the Collaborative Learning model in mathematics instruction, which is believed to enhance students’ problem-solving skills. The research question posed was: Does the Collaborative Learning model have a greater impact on students' mathematical problem-solving abilities compared to conventional learning among Grade VIII students at SMPN 1 Sasak Ranah Pesisir? This study used a pre-experimental method with a static group comparison design. The population consisted of all eighth-grade students at SMPN 1 Sasak Ranah Pesisir. The sample was selected randomly after conducting normality and homogeneity tests on the population data. Class VIII.4 was designated as the experimental group, and Class VIII.2 as the control group. The instrument used in this study was an observation sheet and a test on students' mathematical problem-solving abilities. Data were analyzed using hypothesis testing with the t-test formula. The results showed that the calculated t-value (tₕ = 2.290) was greater than the critical t-value (tₜ = 1.673), leading to the rejection of the null hypothesis (H₀). Using SPSS software at a significance level of α = 0.05, the p-value was 0.026, which is less than α, confirming that H₀ was also rejected. Thus, it can be concluded that the Collaborative Learning model positively affects students’ mathematical problem-solving abilities, showing higher results compared to those taught using conventional methods in Grade VIII at SMPN 1 Sasak Ranah Pesisir in the 2023/2024 academic year.

Abstract

Pembelajaran matematika di SMPN 2 Payakumbuh ditemukan masih rendahnya kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematis. Mengatasi hal itu, peneliti mencoba mengembangkan LKPD untuk membantu dalam melatih kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematis. Penelitian ini bertujuan mengembangkan dan menghasilkan LKPD berbasis Contextual Teaching and Learning untuk kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematis untuk materi SPLDV yang valid, praktis, dan efektif. Metode penelitian ini, menggunakan metode pengembangan ADDIE. Uji coba produk dilaksanakan di kelas VIII SMPN 2 Payakumbuh. Instrumen yang digunakan berupa: lembar validasi ahli, lembar angket respon peserta didik, dan lembar validasi soal tes. Analisis data kualitatif dipergunakan untuk mengolah data berupa masukan, saran, dan kritik dari para ahli. Data kuantitatif diperoleh dari penilaian responden dalam bentuk angka pada angket yang diberikan. Penelitian ini menghasilkan soal kemampuan pemecahan masalah untuk materi SPLDV. Tingkat kevalidan yang dihasilkan berkriteria sangat valid dengan persentase 82,4% yang diperoleh dari penilaian ahli (pendidikan matematika, teknologi, dan bahasa), sangat praktis dengan persentase 82,25% dan 84,37% yang diperoleh melalui uji coba kelompok kecil, dan sangat efektif berdasarkan efek potensial yaitu soal memiliki manfaat yang sangat baik dan mampu memecahkan kemampuan pemecahan masalah siswa. Berdasarkan penelitian ini, direkomendasikan untuk menggunakan LKPD berbasis pendekatan Contextual Teaching and Learning untuk kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematis.
