Abstract

Residivis merupakan tindakan pengulangan yang dilakukan oleh individu yang telah dijatuhi pidana dan kembali ke masyarakat namun terkena pidana kembali karena melakukan kejahatan baik itu kejahatan yang sama maupun kejahatan yang berbeda. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk melihat perbedaan psychology capital residivis Lembaga Pemasyarakatan Kelas IIA Padang ditinjau berdasarkan usia, jenis pidana, masa tahanan, dan pendidikan. Subjek pada penelitian ini yaitu 151 narapidana residivis di Lembaga Pemasyarakatan Kelas IIA Padang. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kuantitatif dengan teknik komparasi. Teknik yang digunakan dalam pengambilan sampel yaitu teknik purposive sampling. Hasil penelitian ini menemukan bahwa narapidana residivis di Lembaga Pemasyarakatan Kelas IIA Padang memiliki tingkat psychology capital dikategorisasi sedang ke rendah. Hasil dari penelitian ini juga menemukan terdapat perbedaan psychology capital pada narapidana residivis jika ditinjau berdasarkan jenis pidana. Pada saat psychology capital ditinjau dari pendidikan ditemukan juga perbedaan. Namun, ditemukan tidak terdapat perbedaan psychology capital pada narapidana residivis ditinjau dari usia. Serta, pada saat ditinjau perbedaan psychology capital berdasarkan masa tahanan.

Abstract

Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh rendahnya tingkat work engagement yang ditunjukkan oleh sebagian karyawan PT. Capella Patria Utama Cabang Padang. Gejala yang tampak yakni kurangnya semangat kerja, kelalaian dalam penyelesaian tugas, serta perilaku tidak disiplin. Fenomena ini mengindikasikan adanya permasalahan serius yang berpotensi menurunkan produktivitas dan menghambat pencapaian tujuan strategis perusahaan. Penelitian ini merupakan studi kuantitatif asosiatif yang meneliti pengaruh work engagement terhadap kinerja karyawan. Seluruh 60 karyawan PT. Capella Patria Utama Cabang Padang dijadikan sampel melalui teknik total sampling. Data dikumpulkan melalui observasi, wawancara, dan kuesioner berskala likert. Ada dua metode yang digunakan dalam analisis data berupa deskriptif, dan inferensial. sebelum menguji hipotesis, dilakukan uji normalitas dan uji linearitas. Penelitian ini memperoleh hasil di beberapa temuan penting; 1) Kinerja karyawan: Mayoritas Karyawan PT. Capella Patria Utama Cabang Padang memiliki tingkat kinerja yang masih terholong rendah; 2) Tingkat Work Engagement: Sebagian besar responden juga menunjukkan tingkat work engagement yang rendah; 3) Pengaruh Work Engagement terhadap Kinerja: Terdapat pengaruh signifikan work engagement terhadap kinerja karyawan. Kontribusi work engagement dalam menjelaskan variasi kinerja karyawan mencapai 51,6%, sebagaimana diindikasikan oleh nilai Adjusted R-square. ini berarti sisa 48,4% variasi kinerja karyawan tidak hanya ditentukan oleh variabel dalam model ini, tapi juga oleh daktor-faktor lainnya. Dengan demikian, temuan ini menekankan bahwa peningkatan work engagement adalah straregi krusial untuk mengoptimalkan kinerja individu di lingkungan kerja PT. Capella Patria Utama Cabang Padang.

Abstract

Legal certainty must be present in a law or regulation. Without legal certainty, the rights of legal subjects will be violated and neglected. Similarly, without legal certainty, legal subjects will feel anxious and insecure because they feel that the law does not protect them. Law Number 16 of 2019 concerning Amendments to Law Law No. 1 of 1974 is considered to lack legal certainty and clarity, as the determination of the marriage age limit in that law is based solely on Law No. 35 of 2014 on Amendments to Law No. 23 of 2002 on Child Protection. This type of research is library research. Library research is a series of activities related to the methods of collecting library data, reading and recording, and processing research materials. Law No. 16 of 2019 still allows Indonesian society to engage in child marriage under the legal age. This law must be considered from various legal perspectives and have clear legal consequences, so a comprehensive revision of this law is necessary. Even if possible, Law No. 1 of 1974 should be reviewed and adjusted to the legal issues that exist now and in the future. By applying the concept of public interest and rejecting harm in a law or regulation, the objectives of that law or regulation will be achieved and become effective.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the relationship between self-esteem and codependency within the context of close friendships among Psychology students at Universitas Negeri Padang. A quantitative approach with a correlational design was employed. The sample consisted of 224 students selected through purposive sampling. Instruments used included a codependency scale based on components developed by Fischer (1991) and a self-esteem scale developed by Rosenberg (1995). Data were analyzed using the Pearson Product-Moment correlation technique. The results revealed a significant negative relationship between self-esteem and codependency, indicating that higher levels of self-esteem are associated with lower tendencies toward codependent behaviors in close friendships, and vice versa. These findings suggest that strengthening self-esteem may serve as a preventive strategy for reducing unhealthy emotional dependence in students’ social relationships. This research contributes to the relational psychology literature and underscores the importance of self-esteem enhancement interventions within the context of higher education.

Abstract

Kegiatan Pengabdian kepada Masyarakat (PkM) merupakan salah satu bentuk kontribusi mahasiswa aktif kepada masyarakat sekitar. Program ini dilaksanakan di SMAN 1 Batam, mengabdi kepada guru ekonomi kelas XI. Tahapan program dirangkum menjadi tiga tahap; kunjungan pertama mahasiswa ke SMAN 1 Batam; konsultasi, diskusi dan menyiapkan materi; pendampigan dalam kegiatan pembelajaran di kelas. Kegiatan pendampingan dilaksanakan tanggal 16 April 2025. Dengan susunan acara yang tersusun, dimulai dari penyajian video berita hingga sesi latihan soal. Pemaparan materi terlaksana secara lancar dan kondusif.

Abstract

This study examines the dynamics of resolving the regional boundary dispute between Palembang City and Banyuasin Regency in Tegal Binangun within a multi-level governance framework. The trigger for the conflict was Minister of Home Affairs Regulation No. 134/2022, which changed administrative boundaries, eliciting objections from the Palembang City Government and public rejection. A qualitative method using purposive sampling involved informants from the Provincial Government Bureau, the City/Regency Governance Section, and village officials. The data were analyzed using NVivo 15 and supplemented with a literature review. The results indicate that the South Sumatra Provincial Government plays a strategic role as a mediator, while the district/city governments act as policy implementers. However, interactions between levels are not optimal, particularly in terms of communication and coordination at the village level. Community participation remains asymmetrical, and the role of NGOs has not been structurally facilitated, adding to the complexity of the conflict. Minister of Home Affairs Regulation 134/2022 serves as the legal basis for policy integration, but its effectiveness depends on social legitimacy, implementation flexibility, and support from public service information systems. The research recommends cross-actor collaboration, adaptive public communication, and capacity building for local governments to achieve sustainable, fair, and service-oriented dispute resolution.

Abstract

Academic stress experienced by students during the thesis-writing stage often affects their psychological condition and everyday behavior, including a tendency toward emotional eating. This study aimed to examine the relationship between academic stress and emotional eating among students who are working on their thesis. The research employed a quantitative correlational approach with cluster sampling involving 152 students of Universitas Negeri Padang who were in the process of writing their thesis. Data were collected using an academic stress scale and an emotional eating scale, and were analyzed using the Pearson Product–Moment correlation test. The results showed a significant positive relationship between academic stress and emotional eating (r = 0.534; p = 0.000), indicating that the higher the level of academic stress, the higher the tendency toward emotional eating among students, and vice versa. These findings underscore the importance of addressing academic stress management in order to prevent emotional eating behavior that may negatively affect students’ well-being during the thesis-writing process.

Abstract

Abstract: The "always-on" culture of digital natives has accelerated the rise of digital fatigue, yet the underlying mechanisms transforming social anxiety into physical and mental exhaustion remain under-explored. This study investigates the mediating role of nomophobia—the fear of being without a mobile phone—in the relationship between Fear of Missing Out (FoMO) and digital fatigue. Utilizing a large-scale survey (N = 1,324) of Indonesian digital natives, mediation analysis reveals that nomophobia serves as a critical psychological bridge, accounting for a significant indirect effect in the FoMO-fatigue pipeline. By synthesizing Social Cognitive Theory and Cognitive Load Theory, our findings demonstrate that the compulsive drive for social connectedness systematically depletes cognitive and emotional resources. These results suggest that digital wellbeing interventions must move beyond simple "screen time" limits to address the underlying nomophobic anxiety that fuels exhaustion. Abstract

In Minangkabau’s matrilineal society, fathers are often perceived as less central, yet adolescents’ interpretations of paternal involvement may illuminate differences in their psychological development. This study aimed to describe how adolescents construe fathers’ involvement across domains and how it is perceived to shape psychological development. Seventy Minangkabau adolescents (31 male, 39 female; aged 12–20) were recruited via purposive sampling; all co-resided with their biological father and mother in West Sumatra. Data were collected using a researcher-developed open-ended questionnaire, analyzed through a six-phase thematic analysis, and verified via participant confirmation. Findings revealed three overarching domains: (1) fathers’ involvement in day-to-day caregiving (positive patterns;academic and religious guidance, practical support, discipline and character values, quality time and humor; negative/minimal patterns; fathers substituting for mothers), (2) paternal responses when adolescents experience stress (listening and open communication, offering advice and solutions, motivating presence, or emotional absence), and (3) fathers’ roles in decision-making (advisor and companion, support and trust, boundary setting, facilitation of freedom and autonomy, role modeling, and minimal influence). Overall, a blend of warmth, structure, and meaningful adolescent voice from fathers was perceived to strengthen self-regulation, self-confidence, school connectedness, and social competence; conversely, limited presence, permissive or authoritarian patterns, and emotional absence were linked to more fragile adjustment. These results imply that culturally grounded fathering practices combining guidance, clear limits, and adolescent participation are promising levers for family interventions in the Minangkabau context.

Abstract

This study aimed to develop and test the effectiveness of the Seuramoe Saentia model, a culture-based science learning model integrating Acehnese local wisdom into ecosystem instruction at the Madrasah Ibtidaiyah level. The research employed a Research and Development (R&D) approach using the ADDIE framework (Analyse, Design, Develop, Implement, Evaluate). The population consisted of 80 fifth-grade students at MIN 2 Langsa, Aceh Province, Indonesia. The implementation phase involved one experimental class comprising 25 students, selected through purposive sampling. The model was designed to integrate the traditional seuneubok land management system into science literacy learning through five instructional phases: Cultural Orientation, Context Exploration, Knowledge Construction, Artefact Creation, and Global Reflection and Expansion. Data were collected through expert validation sheets, observation instruments, science literacy tests, and documentation. Qualitative data were analyzed using thematic analysis, while quantitative data were analyzed using descriptive statistics, N-Gain calculations, and paired-sample t-tests to determine learning effectiveness. Expert validation confirmed that the model was conceptually valid, culturally relevant, and pedagogically feasible. The effectiveness results showed a significant improvement in students’ science literacy. The mean pre-test score of 61.8 increased to 79.4 in the post-test, with an N-Gain of 0.46 (moderate category). Statistical analysis indicated a significant difference between pre- and post-test scores (t = 5.37; p < 0.05). Additionally, observational findings revealed enhanced ecological awareness, collaborative skills, and the ability to connect scientific concepts with local cultural values. These findings demonstrate that integrating Acehnese cultural practices into science learning effectively improves students’ science literacy while strengthening contextual ecological understanding. The Seuramoe Saientia model offers a validated and empirically supported framework for culturally responsive science education at the primary level.
