Abstract

Di era sekarang, anak usia dini merupakan generasi alfa yang sangat dekat dengan teknologi. Hal ini menjadi tantangan bagi guru anak usia dini untuk dapat membimbing anak menggunakan teknologi ke arah positif. Tujuan dari kegiatan pengabdian ini adalah memberikan pengetahuan mengenai Alat Permainan Edukatif (APE) berbasis multimedia interaktif berupa LCD writing tablet bagi guru di TK Akhsanuttaqwim. Pengabdian dilakukan melalui beberapa tahap, yaitu sosialisasi, pelaksanaan—yang terdiri atas pelatihan dan pendampingan, serta evaluasi. Hasil dari kegiatan ini adalah meningkatnya pengetahuan akan literasi digital dan variasi media guru terkait penggunaan teknologi sebagai media. Selain itu, guru juga mampu menerapkan media yang diberikan pada kelas yang diampu. Harapan dari guru selanjutnya adalah agar kegiatan ini dapat berkelanjutan karena guru merasa pelatihan terkait penerapan teknologi sangat dibutuhkan.

Abstract

Need analysis (NA) is one of the initial steps in developing learning materials. In the English for Specific Purposes (ESP) context, it is an essential asset to identify learners’ needs and determine the areas they are lacking. Thus far, NA particularly in Communication Science Program (CSP) in Indonesia has not been widely explored. In University Y, the CSP students are lacking English language learning materials. Therefore, this mixed-method study aims to explore the results of NA for developing such materials. The data were gathered through document analysis, lecturer and alumna interviews, along with student surveys. The results revealed that students' learning needs focus on the desire to improve their English proficiency, particularly in speaking and grammar, for career orientation. Moreover, the materials should be compiled with text types that support the achievement of the goals e.g., advertisements, reports, narrative and argumentative texts that are preferable to be taught through a BL delivery method. These materials should also be actualized in activities that can accommodate three learning styles, namely visual, audio, and kinesthetic, with more emphasis on the first. The implication of these findings will be helpful to create a more effective English class based on the current demands.

Abstract

American Fever is a novel that tells the story of a high school girl from Pakistan named Hira who joins a student exchange program for 1 year in America. As a diaspora subject, Hira's arrival to America raises issues related to identity. Hira is seen as a stranger and she also has difficulty to adapt in a new environment with the different culture from Pakistan. Therefore, Bhabha's theory of postcolonialism is applied in this study. This thesis aims to reveal the cultural strategy undertaken by Hira to survive in America by connecting with contextual conditions and to find out the author's views on diaspora issues through the novels she wrote. This thesis is a critical-qualitative study. Primary data are from novels and secondary data are from the internet, books and articles. The results of the analysis of this novel show that as a diaspora subject, Hira experiences a phase of 'unhomeliness' caused by her first arrival to America. Then, to overcome this condition, Hira applies a cultural adjustment known as mimicry. The result of mimicry is that Hira has hybrid identity, as a Pakistani and an American. Amna, as the author of this novel conveyed her idea regarding the issue of diaspora that he experienced in 2008 that diaspora subjects will experience 3 phases namely 'unhomeliness', mimicry, and hybridity when they come to the host country. In conclusion, Bhabha's postcolonial theory is related to the events in American Fever which are the depiction of the author's personal experience as a diaspora subject in the past.

Abstract

This research examines Islamic education and communication contained in the Syair 'Aqaid Saeket by KHR. Syamsul Arifin and KHR. As'ad Syamsul Arifin. This poem was written based on a lecture on the condition of the Madurese people, who are generally laypeople, who have very limited thinking and opportunities for in-depth study or reciting the Koran in Islamic boarding schools and are worried about the influx of deviant religious teachings. The educational method he uses is through the art of composing poetry as an innovative and alternative method. 'Aqaid Saeket is a Madurese term for the term 'Aqaid Khomsin ('Aqaid 50) which is a collection of qualities that are obligatory, muhal and jaiz for Allah SWT and His Messenger. The aim of this research is to reveal the message of Islamic education and communication in the Aqaid Poetry which can be used as an educational example for society. The method used in this research is a qualitative approach with descriptive analysis techniques with specifications for the type of library research (library study). This poem contains Islamic education in three categories, namely the values ​​of faith, worship and morals. Aqidah education, includes belief in Allah with his impossible and improbable obligations, belief in the angels who were sent down, belief in the book, belief in the messengers with their impossible and impossible obligations, belief in the last day, belief in qadla' and qadar. Educational messages about worship, including prayer, zakat, fasting and Hajj. The message of moral education includes morals towards fellow creatures with advice to always be devoted to Allah SWT. The poetry of 'Aqaid Saeket contains five principles of Islamic communication, namely the principle of sincerity, the principle of reward and sin, the principle of positive speech, the principle of supervision, and the principle of mutual influence.

Abstract

This article represents the pancajiwa (five souls) of Islamic boarding schools in the film "Cahaya Cinta Pesantren" using Charles Sanders Peirce's semiotic techniques, Peirce's triadic model, often also called Peirce's triangular theory of meaning, which consists of signs, objects, and interpretants. This article uses qualitative and semiotic methods, as well as document study. The purpose of this article is to represent the pancajiwa (five souls) of Islamic boarding schools in the film "Cahaya Cinta Pesantren". The results of this research show that the film "Cahaya Cinta Pesantren" contains the five souls of Islamic boarding schools in the form of the spirit of sincerity, namely sincerity in terms of giving because of God Allah, seeking knowledge and being warned, the spirit of simplicity in clothing, places to study, worship and to eat, the spirit of independence, namely independence in self-actualization and daily activities, the spirit of Ukhuwah Islamiyah namely brotherhood in overcoming problems without prioritizing individual egos and prioritizing togetherness and happiness of other people, the spirit of freedom, namely freedom of expression and work.

Abstract

Workshop ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan pemahaman dan keterampilan guru dalam menyusunan instrumen tes yang berkualitas, valid, dan dapat diandalkan. Workshop ini melibatkan 40 guru dari 5 Sekolah Dasar Penggerak di Kabupaten Wonogiri. Workshop ini terdiri dari dua sesi, sesi pertama mencakup pemaparan materi mengenai konsep dasar evaluasi, asesmen diagnostik pada Kurikulum Merdeka, dan pengembangan instrumen tes. Sesi kedua, peserta melakukan praktek pengembangan instrumen tes di bawah bimbingan tim PkM. Pada sesi dua, peserta dibagi dalam 5 kelompok. Peserta dalam kelompok menentukan spesifikasi tes, dan menyusun instrumen tes. Setelah penyusunan, soal-soal dievaluasi dan divalidasi oleh kelompok lain. Proses ini melibatkan pemeriksaan kriteria-kriteria soal yang yang berkualitas meliputi kejelasan soal, konsistensi pilihan jawaban, dan berbagai aspek kualitas lainnya hingga instrumen tes disempurnakan berdasarkan masukan dan revisi yang diberikan selama proses validasi. Workshop ini selain berhasil memberikan pemahaman teoretis dan konseptual mengenai konsep dasar evaluasi kepada guru-guru peserta, juga berhasil memberikan keterampilan kepada guru dalam dalam menyusun soal yang berkualitas.

Abstract

Penelitian ini membahas mengenai penggunaan diksi dan gaya bahasa perbandingan dalam novel Sesuk karya Tere Liye. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan diksi dan gaya bahasa perbandingan yang ada dalam novel Sesuk karya Tere Liye. Jenis penelitian ini adalah deskripsi kualitatif, suatu penelitian yang menghasilkan data dengan kalimat dan kata-kata. Teknik pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan teknik membaca, menandai, dan mencatat. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian dapat diketahui bahwa dalam novel Sesuk karya Tere Liye Diksi dan Gaya bahasa perbandingan diantaranya,  menunjukkan bahwa pada diksi terdapat 68 data diksi yang meliputi 20 data diksi kata konotatif, 29 data diksi kata asing, dan 19 data diksi kata konkret. Temuan data menunjukkan bahwa ada 40 gaya bahasa perbandingan, diantaranya terdapat 13 data gaya bahasa personifikasi, 9 data gaya bahasa metafora, 11 gaya bahasa simile dan 9 data gaya bahasa tropen.Kata kunci: Diksi, gaya bahasa, novel.

Abstract

The development of the achievements of the Ngudi Waluyo University (UNW) volleyball Student Activity Unit (UKM) must be done using all efforts and abilities to reach the final limit in this case through the Sport Science approach for UNW volleyball UKM members. Through this programme, it is expected to be able to answer problems related to the extent of coaching capacity through training programs and injury management. This community service program is in the form of assistance for members of the Volleyball Student Activity Unit at Ngudi Waluyo University. This activity is aimed at improving the ability of UNW volleyball UKM achievement development related to the dominant physical condition of volleyball through sports training programs and its supporting factors in the form of injury management forathletes (Volleyball UKM members). The method used in this community service is starting from field observations, education and mentoring for training programs and assistance with injury management for UNW volleyball UKM athletes, to be able to improve their physical condition in supporting their performance during training and during competitions (competitions). This community service was carried out for four months, including initial observations to raise existing problems and then reviewed for problem solving, continued with initial seminars and preparations, training (theory and practice), final seminars and reporting. The training was held with theoretical material: a) identification and handling of injuries to volleyball athletes,b) Volleyball athlete training programs. Practical training in the form of improving injury management skills and, practicing making exercise programs. Based on the results of observations during the activity, the following results were shown: 1) participants were enthusiastic during the activity seen from the amount of feedback between participants and resource persons, 2) participants were active in telling training experiences and injuries they had experienced, 3) participants were very cooperative in carrying out injury management practices. Based on the results of this activity, it can be concluded that training on the implementation of sports sciences can improve knowledge and skills for members of the Volleyball UKM at Ngudi Waluyo University.ABSTRAKPembinaan prestasi Unit Kegiatan Mahasiswa (UKM) bola voli Universitas Ngudi Waluyo (UNW) harus dilakukan dengan menggunakan segala usaha serta kemampuannya hingga mencapai batas akhir dalam hal ini melalui pendekatan Sport Science bagi mahasiswa UKM bola voli UNW. Melalui pengabdian ini diharapkan dapat menjawab permasalahan terkait sejauh mana kapasitas pembinaan melalui program latihan dan penanganan cedera. Program pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini berupa pendampingan bagi anggota Unit Kegiatan Kemahasiswaan Bola Voli Universitas Ngudi Waluyo. Kegiatan ini ditujukan untuk meningkatkan kemampuan pembinaan prestasi UKM bola voli UNW terkait dengan faktor kondisi fisik dominan olahraga bola voli melalui program latihan olahraga berikut faktor pendukungnya berupa penatalaksanaan penanganan cedera bagi atlet (anggota UKM Bola Voli). Metode yang digunakan dalam pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini adalah dimulai dari observasi lapangan, edukasi dan pendampingan program latihan dan pendampingan penanganan cedera bagi para atlet UKM bola voli UNW, untuk dapat meningkatkan kondisi fisik dalam mendukung penampilan saat berlatih maupun pada saat pertandingan (kompetisi). Pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini dilakukan selama empat bulan, meliputi observasi awal untuk memunculkan masalah yang ada dan kemudian dikaji untuk diberikan pemecahan masalah, dilanjutkan seminar awal dan persiapan, pelatihan (teori dan praktik), seminar akhir dan pelaporan. Pelatihan yang diselenggarakan dengan materi teori: a) identifikasi dan penanganan cedera pada atlet bola voli, b) Program latihan atlet bola voli. Pelatihan praktik berupa peningkatan keterampilan penanganan cedera dan, praktik membuat program latihan. Berdasarkan hasil pengamatan selama kegiatan berlangsung, menunjukkan hasil sebagai berikut: 1) peserta bersemangat dan antusias selama mengikuti kegiatan dilihat dari banyaknya umpan balik antara peserta dan narasumber, 2) peserta aktif dalam menceritakan pengalaman latihan dan cedera yang pernah dialami, 3) peserta sangat kooperatif dalam melaksanakan praktik penanganan cedera. Berdasarkan hasil kegiatan ini dapat disimpulkan bahwa pelatihan implementasi sport sciences dapat meningkatkan pengetahuan dan keterampilan bagi anggota UKM Bola Voli Universitas Ngudi Waluyo.

Abstract

This groundbreaking study addresses a significant research gap in modern pedagogy by examining the revolutionary effects of hybrid project-based learning (HPBL) on high-order thinking skills (HOTS) in English as a foreign language (EFL) writing instruction. By employing a quasi-experimental design and incorporating the participation of 85 students as a population, this study addresses two crucial inquiries: i) the degree to which HPBL impacts the overall writing abilities of EFL students enrolled in an academic writing course and ii) how HPBL enhances the analytical capabilities of the students. The argumentative writing test was employed as a research instrument. The research demonstrates a significant writing and analytical mastery enhancement through rigorous paired sample testing and validation. This research not only makes substantial contributions to the ongoing scholarly discourse but also underscores the critical significance of further exploring the dynamic attributes of HPBL, thus further establishing its position as an indispensable element of modern language instructions.

Abstract

Munculnya permasalahan terkait kurangnya moral di masyarakat yang disebabkan oleh gagalnya penanaman nilai karakter pada anak usia sekolah menimbulkan kekhawatiran. Pendidikan karakter menjadi penting untuk menjawab soalan tersebut salah satunya melalui penanaman di lingkungan sekolah. Pendidikan karakter diintegrasikan dan dikembangkan dalam setiap muatan pelajaran yang ada sesuai dengan perencanaan dari Kemendikbud, termasuk pada jenjang sekolah dasar. Salah satunya melalui mata pelajaran Seni Rupa (SBdP) yang termuat pada Kompetensi Dasar di kelas V yaitu (KD) 3.4 memahami karya seni rupa daerah (batik). Penelitian dilaksanakan dengan metode kualitatif deskriptif melalui pendekatan hermeneutika atau pemaknaan untuk menganalisis nilai karakter yang terkandung pada motif batik. Penelitian dilakukan di tiga rumah produksi batik di Kabupaten Ngawi. Penelitian ini menemukan adanya nilai karakter pada setiap motif batik khas Ngawi yang sesuai dengan 18 nilai karakter menurut UU Sisdiknas Tahun 2003 Pasal 3. Kesimpulan tersebut dapat dilihat melalui pemaknaan motif batik secara visual terkait gambar dan warna.
