Abstract

Pelanggaran prinsip kerja sama dalam web series skaya And The Big Boss menjadi pokok bahasan penelitian. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pelanggaran maksim prinsip kerja sama yang terjadi dalam tuturan tokoh Skaya And The Big Boss. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kualitatif deskriptif untuk menggambarkan pelanggaran peribahasa, pada setiap data ujaran yang ditemukan. Metode pengumpulan informasi dilakukan dengan menggunakan beberapa teknik antara lain: teknik dokumentasi, teknik menyimak, dan teknik mencatat. Selanjutnya, metode analisis data yang digunakan dalam penemuan ini dilakukan dalam beberapa tahap. Data yang diperoleh kemudian dianalisis menggunakan metode padan pragmatic.. Ditemukan 17 data yang melanggar prinsip kerja sama, meliputi 2 data yang melanggar maksim kuantitas, 6 data yang melanggar maksim kualitas, 5 data yang melanggar maksim relevansi, dan 4 data yang melanggar maksim cara. Pelanggaran paling banyak terjadi pada maksim kualitas dan paling sedikit maksim kuantitas. Selain pelanggaran maksim, terdapat beberapa implikatur dalam pernyataan yang dibuat, antara lain implikatur meminta, berbohong, memberikan informasi, menyatakan, dan menjelaskan.

Abstract

Tujuan penelitian ini adalah menganalisis dan mendeskripsikan penyajian teks abstrak pada artikel jurnal terindeks SINTA. Metode yang dipakai dalam penelitian ini adalah metode deskriptif kualitatif. Sumber data dalam penelitian ini berasal dari artikel jurnal SINTA. Teknik pengumpulan data dengan menerapkan teknik baca dan catat. Teknik analisis data memakai metode deskriptif kualitatif. Hasil dari penelitian ini ditemukan sepuluh pola dalam penyajian teks abstrak, diantaranya adalah LTMHS, LTMH, LMH, TMS, TMH, TMHS, LTMS, LTH. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian dapat disimpulkan bahwa tidak semua abstrak memiliki move yang lengkap. Sebagian besar abstrak hanya memiliki tiga atau empat move.

Abstract

Tujuan penelitian ini untuk mendeskripsikan bentuk campur kode dalam tuturan vlog Ganjar Pranowo. Data berupa kata dan kalimat dalam tuturan vlog di Chanel Youtube Ganjar Pranowo yang mengandung bentuk campur kode dianalisis menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif deskriptif. Video blog youtube Ganjar Pranowo menjadi sumber utama dalam penelitian ini. Data dikumpulkan dengan teknik simak, teknik transkip, dan teknik catat yang kemudian dianalisis menggunakan teori dari Dell Hymes. Keabsahan data dalam penelitian ini ditempuh dengan triangulasi teori untuk menguji kredibilitas data penelitian dilakukan dengan cara pengecekan dari beberapa buku yang terdapat teori campur kode. Hasil penelitian ini ditemukan bentuk-bentuk campur kode yang berupa kata, frasa, baster, dan klausa. Campur kode dalam tuturan lisan Ganjar Pranowo Ganjar Pranowo terjadi dengan mencampurkan ke dalam bahasa Indonesia.

Abstract

The portrayal of body shaming against women in films is a social critique of the act of body shaming. Hence, the study of body shaming in films is intriguing for future investigation. The objective of this research is to uncover the portrayal of body shaming towards women in films. The research data comprised of words and phrases that encompassed body shaming and were examined utilizing Norman Fairclough's Critical Discourse Analysis approach. The data was acquired from the movie Imperfect: Karir, Cinta & Timbangan. This study is also classified as critical-qualitative research. The research findings indicate that the film “Imperfect: Karir, Cinta & Timbangan” portrays three types of body shaming, which include comparing, commenting, and insulating individuals based on their physical appearance. Furthermore, the film's production background is influenced by the film development genre in Indonesia, and the producer's background as a comedian aligns with the genre of the film. In addition, this also highlights that the film production is also considered to have some motives to depict body shaming in the film, including the commercial motive, social culture, and ideology to struggle.

Abstract

This research aims to compare the education equity policies in remote areas of Indonesia and Malaysia to identify the differences, similarities, and effectiveness in addressing socioeconomic disparities between urban and remote regions. The study examines policy documents, government reports, and previous research using a qualitative comparative approach. Indonesia employs a regional autonomy approach, while Malaysia adheres to a centralized system in education policy. Both countries have adopted financial assistance programs to increase the participation of students from low-income families in remote areas. Critical challenges in policy implementation include limited facilities and infrastructure, demanding access to transportation, limited human resources, and sociocultural barriers. The study finds that policy successes are evident in increased student participation, improved infrastructure accessibility, provision of teaching staff, and community support. However, budget constraints and human resource limitations remain significant obstacles. The research concludes that effective education equity policies require proactive government involvement, active community participation, and periodic monitoring and evaluation to enhance policy effectiveness.

Abstract

Learning during a pandemic requires innovation so that learning runs well and can develop students' critical thinking skills. One of the learning innovations is applying a blended learning system in thematic learning. This study aimed to analyze the planning, implementation, and thematic learning outcomes based on critical thinking skills using a blended learning system for fifth-grade students in elementary schools. This type of research is descriptive qualitative using a case study approach with a subject of 37 fifth grade elementary school students. Data collection techniques in this study through direct observation, interviews, and documentation in the form of data related to research to strengthen the information. The data that has been collected is then grouped and validated by source triangulation and triangulation techniques. The data is analyzed by data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing. The results of this study are 1) Planning of thematic learning based on critical thinking skills with a BLS begins with the preparation of curriculum documentation, socialization, then IHT (In House Training) activities, and the preparation of syllabus and Learning Implementation Plans (RPP) thematic based on critical thinking skills. 2) Implementation of thematic learning based on critical thinking skills with a blended learning system combining face-to-face learning and online learning that can accommodate students' critical thinking skills through a series of applied learning activities. 3) The results of thematic learning based on critical thinking skills obtained a good category which includes an assessment of cognitive, affective, and psychomotor aspects.

Abstract

In the field of English language education, the crucial role of assessment for learning (AfL) requires teachers to possess robust assessment literacy. This study explores AfL literacy among high school English teachers in Yogyakarta, Indonesia by utilizing Alonzo's validated AfL survey that establishes a comprehensive six-factor model, delineating teachers as assessors, pedagogists, student partners, motivators, learners, and stakeholder partners. Exploiting confirmatory factor analysis and examining demographic variations, this quantitative research invited 202 English teachers in the Special Region of Yogyakarta, Indonesia selected purposively based on the geographical service area. Data were collected through an online questionnaire adopting Alonzo's 42-questions AfL and were analyzed quantitatively via Confirmatory Factor Analysis (CFA) with four indices, namely comparative fit index (CFI), Tucker-Lewis index (TLI), root mean square error of approximation (RMSEA), and standard root mean square residual (SRMR).The findings substantiate the efficacy of the six-factor AfL model, underscoring educators' roles extending beyond traditional frameworks. The investigation also introduces a tool featuring detailed performance descriptors, addressing deficiencies, and harmonizing with AfL principles. It deduces that heightened foundational comprehension among English educators cultivates enhancements in AfL literacy and propels the refinement of professional evaluative competencies, thereby enriching the nuanced discourse surrounding AfL within language pedagogy. While the study's scope is confined to a specific geographical area and a limited cohort of participating instructors, it significantly enriches our comprehension of AfL literacy among English pedagogies. This research, therefore, provides a foundation for professional growth initiatives and facilitates enhancements in pedagogical approaches and academic achievement.

Abstract

The objective of this study is to evaluate the effectiveness of teachers in implementing pedagogical skills. The present study used a mixed methods approach. The participants in this study consisted of 55 highly effective educators employed in vocational secondary schools. The research data were acquired using effective teacher questionnaires, peer evaluations, observations, and comprehensive interviews. The findings indicated that a majority of highly effective educators possess a strong comprehension of the practical application of pedagogical competence. Nevertheless, a marginal disparity exists between academic knowledge and its practical application in the respective domain. The facilitation and support of teachers in the development of their pedagogic competences is a crucial responsibility of school principals. Effective and well-structured ongoing training is essential to bridge the divide between theoretical concepts and practical application, and to guarantee that educators possess the requisite expertise and understanding to tackle the demands of the current and future educational landscape. Hence, it is imperative to allocate resources towards teacher professional development and ensure the availability of sufficient assets in vocational secondary schools in order to attain educational excellence in Indonesia.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui bentuk pengaturan dan perlindungan hukum terhadap konsumen dalam transaksi digital melalui aplikasi Dana berdasarkan hukum positif di Indonesia. Metode yang digunakan adalah yuridis normatif, yaitu penelitian yang mengkaji dokumen dan data sekunder dengan pendekatan perundang-undangan dan analisis konsep hukum. Penelitian ini di lakukan untuk mngetahui bagaimna pengaturan perlindungan hukum terhadap konsumen dalam transaksi digital melalui aplikasi Dana berdasarkan hukum positif di Indonesia? Dan bagaimna Perlindungan Hukum Terhadap Konsumen Dalam Transaksi Digital Melalui Aplikasi Dana. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pengaturan perlindungan hukum terhadap konsumen dalam transaksi digital melalui aplikasi Dana telah diatur dalam beberapa undang-undang. Pertama, Undang-Undang Nomor 11 Tahun 2008 yang telah diubah dengan Undang-Undang Nomor 19 Tahun 2016 tentang Informasi dan Transaksi Elektronik (ITE), yang memberikan perlindungan konsumen secara represif. Kedua, Undang-Undang Nomor 21 Tahun 2011 tentang Otoritas Jasa Keuangan (OJK), yang memberikan landasan hukum bagi OJK untuk melindungi konsumen dalam penggunaan aplikasi Dana. Ketiga, Undang-Undang Nomor 8 Tahun 1999 tentang Perlindungan Konsumen, yang berperan penting dalam melindungi konsumen dan mengatasi tantangan era digital, terutama dalam hak privasi dan informasi. Bentuk perlindungan hukum terhadap konsumen dalam transaksi digital melalui aplikasi Dana meliputi tindakan preventif dan represif. Tindakan preventif dilakukan dengan mengeluarkan undang-undang yang mengatur tentang perlindungan konsumen dan transaksi elektronik, seperti Undang-Undang Nomor 8 Tahun 1999, Undang-Undang Nomor 11 Tahun 2008, dan Undang-Undang Nomor 21 Tahun 2011. Tindakan represif berupa sanksi pencabutan izin, denda, atau hukuman penjara bagi pelaku kejahatan elektronik yang merugikan konsumen.

Abstract

Even though the Independent Curriculum suggests teachers conduct speaking activities in class, the real situation is quite the opposite. Students rarely speak English in class; hence, students still lack the ability to speak English. This study aims to describe the challenges in implementing the Information Gap Technique to enhance students' speaking skills in a vocational high school located in Sleman. Employing Classroom Action Research, the research unfolds across four iterative stages: planning, action, observation, and reflection. This study used interviews, observations, and documentation as primary instruments. This is qualitative analysis with interactive model analysis and thematic analysis as data analysis. The findings illuminate several hurdles faced by both teachers and students. Teachers confront difficulties in classroom management, struggling to monitor and assess students simultaneously. Meanwhile, students encounter challenges in peer assessment and formulating questions, along with linguistic obstacles in pronunciation and grammar. The study concludes that an effective strategy to mitigate these challenges involves teachers actively circulating the classroom and engaging in peer assessment. This approach enables teachers to identify and address individual student difficulties promptly. The research suggests that while IGT proves effective in enhancing speaking skills and boosting confidence, teachers should judiciously incorporate it, considering both its advantages and drawbacks. The recommendation encourages periodic utilisation of the technique, with teachers being mindful of the need for a balanced approach that addresses the identified challenges, thereby maximising the benefits of IGT in enhancing students' speaking abilities.
