Abstract

There is no denying that wireless communication technology is a very important component of modern society. One aspect of modern society where the application of wireless communication technology has tremendous potential is in an emergency. This is especially true in weak places and cannot be reached at all by cellular signals. A good example would be the application of wireless communication technology to transmit data about the emergency button is mountained. Nowadays in the mountain all those things can happen when the moment, the champion can experience, hurt, or sick in the middle. Therefore, our goal in this study is to develop and test an affordable wireless communication system for the swimming state center when performing applications. The system uses microcontrollers and communication systems that use Arduino and LoRa as Transceivers and Receivers. The system was successfully tested in the field and obtained data with a distance of 1.2 Km.

Abstract

This study develops a facial emotion detection model using the VGG-19 architecture on the Convolutional Neural Network (CNN) method. The study aims to improve the accuracy of facial expression recognition in a variety of applications, including the fields of education and marketing. The dataset used consisted of 7 categories of emotions, with 80% of the training data and 20% of the testing data. The research process includes dataset collection, data pre-processing, CNN model design, and model training with epoch variations. The results showed an increase in accuracy as the number of epochs increased, with the highest accuracy reaching 69.81% in training data and 63.30% in validation data after 100 epochs. The model showed good performance in classifying "happy" emotions, but had trouble distinguishing between sad, neutral, scared, and angry emotions. The study proves CNN's effectiveness in classifying facial emotions, although there is still room for improvement, especially in distinguishing similar emotions.

Abstract

This Internet of Things (IoT)-based car security and monitoring system is implemented on a prototype car with a security system in the form of face identification, Global Positioning System (GPS), and Gas Sensor. The purpose of this research is to improve the security and safety of motorized vehicles, especially cars. This IoT-based car security system uses the prototype method, which is a system development technique that uses a prototype to describe the system so that users have a clear picture of the system to be built. From the results of testing face identification, gas sensors, and GPS show that the system can work according to the expected design. Based on the overall test results this system works quite well to improve vehicle security. therefore, this car security and monitoring system has a positive effect on making vehicle owners feel safe.

Abstract

PT Sakae Riken Indonesia’s Assembly Department faces performance challenges due to employees’ difficulty in adapting to workload demands and a Japanese-style organizational culture that emphasizes efficiency and Kaizen. This study investigates how these factors influence employee performance. The research aims to analyze (1) the partial effect of workload, (2) the partial effect of organizational culture, and (3) their simultaneous impact on employee performance. A quantitative approach was employed, using saturated sampling (43 employees) and questionnaires analyzed via SPSS 26. Multiple linear regression was used to test hypotheses, with validity, reliability, and classical assumption tests ensuring robustness. Workload (sig. 0.003, t=3.144) and organizational culture (sig. 0.000, t=4.353) significantly improved performance individually, while together they explained 65% of performance variance (F=14.613, sig. 0.000). The study highlights the need for balanced workload management and cultural adaptation support, offering practical insights for automotive firms. Future research should explore mediating variables (e.g., job stress) and replicate findings in diverse industrial contexts.

Abstract

Apple cucumber is an annual plant that belongs to the Cucurbitaceae family and is very closely related to the melon plant. Regarding morphology and fruit aroma, this plant is a hybrid plant or a cross between melon and suri cucumber. Apple cucumber farmers in Tanjungpakis Village cultivate an average of ½Ha land for apple cucumber cultivation. The taste of the apple cucumber produced by the fruit is sweet, and the flesh is soft, making this fruit much liked by the public. This makes apple cucumber a superior local fruit that is cultivated in Tanjung Pakis Village. The aim of implementing community service is to make apple cucumbers a strategic superior commodity to be processed into beverage products, optimize the potential of local and regional products, and help improve the economy and welfare of farmers in rural areas. The implementation method is carried out through outreach and licensing, training and practice, and assistance to farmers. The results obtained from the service implementation are syrup product innovations that have been packaged and equipped with attractive product labels.

Abstract

Universitas Insan Pembangunan Indonesia adalah salah satu universitas swasta di provinsi Banten yang terletak di Kabupaten Tangerang. Universitas Insan Pembangunan Indonesia sudah menggunakan Microsoft Excel namun masih memiliki beberapa kekurangan yaitu dalam proses seleksi beasiswa yang belum mengambil sebuah keputusan berdasarkan perhitungan menyebabkan kesalahan dan tidak tepat sasaran dalam memberikan beasiswa kepada mahasiswa. Dalam penelitian ini dibahas mengenai pemberian beasiswa Peningkatan Prestasi Akademik (PPA). Untuk mempermudah dalam pengambilan keputusan dalam penentuan mahasiswa yang layak menerima beasiswa diperlukan sebuah sistem pendukung keputusan yang menguji kriteria-kriteria sebagai salah satu syarat dalam seleksi penerimaan beasiswa. Kriteria ini diuji dengan menggunakan metode Technique for Order Preference by Similarity to Ideal Solution. Penelitian dilakukan dengan mencari nilai bobot untuk setiap atribut untuk menentukan alternatif yang diberikan. Dalam perancangan system menggunakan pendekatan objek oriented programming. Proses penentuan beasiswa dengan metode Topsis dapat mempercepat proses seleksi penerima beasiswa dan mengurangi kesalahan dalam menentukan mahasiswa yang layak mendapat beasiswa.. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui sistem yang sedang berjalan saat ini, dan untuk membangun sistem informasi pengambilan keputusan berbasis web. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah deskriptif kualitatif . Hasil dari penelitian ini adalah berupa perangkat lunak yaitu sistem informasi pendukung keputusan berbasis web.

Abstract

ABSTRAK Dunia pertanian membutuhkan berbagai dukungan dalam bentuk fisik untuk dapat meningkatkan produksi panen yang dihasilkan misalnya berbagai macam perpupukan, peralatan yang menunjang, dan termasuk pestisida yang marak digunakan dalam bertani. Jika penggunaan pestisida tidak sesuai aturan dosis, dapat menimbulkan keracunan hingga kematian. Berbagai Dampak yang muncul terhadap organisme yang tidak termasuk dalam target meliputi dampak terhadap lingkungan dapat berupa pencemaran atau residu terhadap air dan tanah serta dapat menimbulkan gangguan kesehatan seperti keracunan bahkan dapat juga menyebabkan kematian bagi manusia (Tarumingkeng, 2008). Diketahui juga bahwa petani banyak menggunakan pestisida golongan Karbamat dan Organopospat, dari study literatur diketahui bahwa pestisida golongan Karbamat dan Organopospat ini memberikan dampak yang luar biasa terhadap kesehatan petani pada saat akan melakukan kegiatan penyemprotan khususnya jika petani tersebut tidak menggunakan Alat Pelindung Diri (APD) yang baik dan benar pada saat penyemprotan. Kelurahan Bakung jaya merupakan daerah penghasil sayur- sayuran di kota jambi, berdasarkan informasi dari ketua RT 12 Bakung jaya, jumlah petani sayur yang ada diwilayah ini berjumlah 60 orang, para petani sayur ini setiap harinya sering terpapar dengan pestida dengan aktivitas penyemprotan dan pemupukan yang dilakukan dalam sehari-harinya. Berdasarkan study awal terhadap beberapa petani meyatakan bahwa ada beberapa keluhan kesehatan yang dirasakan oleh petani seperti sering pusing, kadang-kadang mual serta gatal-gatal diarea tangan dan kaki. Berdasarkan uraian diatas Tim pengabdian masyarakat Dosen Prodi Kesmas  tertarik untuk melakukan kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat pada pada petani sayur di kelurahan Bakung Jaya kota jambi.  Tujuan kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini adalah untuk meningkatkan pengetahuan petani sayur terhadap dampak paparan pestisida terhadap kesehatan dan lingkungan. Metode pada saat kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini adalah dengan dilakukan secara ceramah dan diikuti evaluasi hasil kegiatan. Hasil dari kegiatan yang sudah dilaksanakan diketahui bahwa terdapat peningkatan pengetahuan petani terhadap paparan pestisida. Perlu peningkatan pengetahuan petani terhadap penggunaan pestisida serta upaya pembentukan POS UKK sebagai sarana pelayanan mengurangi resiko munculnya penyakit akibat kerja Kata Kunci: Pestisida, Pengetahuan, APD, Perilaku  ABSTRACT Agriculture requires infrastructure to increase production such as fertilizer, equipment, and including pesticides. If pesticides are not used according to dosage regulations, it can cause poisoning and even death. Negative impacts on non-target organisms include impacts on the environment in the form of pollution and causing poisoning and can even cause death to humans (Tarumingkeng, 2008). It is also known that farmers use a lot of Carbamate and Organophosphate group pesticides. From literature studies it is known that these Carbamate and Organophosphate group pesticides have a tremendous impact on farmers' health when spraying, especially if the farmer does not use good and correct personal protective equipment when spraying. Bakung Jaya subdistrict is a vegetable producing area in Jambi City. Based on information from the head of RT 12 Bakung Jaya, the number of vegetable farmers in this area is 50 people. These vegetable farmers are often exposed to pesticides every day through the spraying and fertilizing activities they carry out. in everyday life. Based on initial studies of several farmers, it was stated that there were several health complaints felt by farmers, such as frequent dizziness, sometimes nausea and itching in the hands and feet. Based on the description above, the community service team, Lecturers at the Public Health Study Program, are interested in carrying out community service activities for vegetable farmers in the Bakung Jaya sub-district, Jambi City. The aim of this community service activity is to increase vegetable farmers' knowledge of the impact of pesticide exposure on health and the environment. MThe method of this community service activity is through lectures and activity evaluation. Results from the activities that have been carried out, it is known that there is an increase in farmers' knowledge of pesticide exposure. It is necessary to increase farmers' further knowledge of pesticide management and spraying techniques as well as efforts to establish POS UKK as a tool for farmers. Keywords: Pesticides, Knowledge, Behavior

Abstract

Occupational diseases are influenced by internal factors such as smoking, not using PPE masks and external factors such as an uncomfortable work environment, dust, temperature effects and so on. This research aims to determine the relationship between knowledge, smoking habits and use of PPE with symptoms of respiratory problems in Sawmill workers in Pasir Panjang Subdistrict, Jambi City in 2023. This type of research is Quantitative with a Cross Sectional approach. The research was conducted at the Sawmill, Pasir Panjang Subdistrict, Jambi City on 5-12 August 2023. The research sample was all 56 Sawmill workers in Pasir Panjang Subdistrict. The data collection method is by interview using a questionnaire. Data were analyzed using the chi square test. The research results showed that 65.5% of respondents experienced symptoms of respiratory problems, 21.8% of respondents had poor knowledge, 43.6% of respondents had a smoking habit and 50.9% of respondents did not use PPE masks. The results of bivariate analysis showed that there was a relationship between smoking habits (p=0.000) and use of PPE (p=0.018) with symptoms of respiratory problems. There was no relationship between knowledge and respiratory symptoms (p=0.808). It is hoped that sawmill owners will increase workers' awareness to carry out health checks at the nearest health center and provide PPE masks for workers

Abstract

Internship is a compulsory subject in the form of student work practice placement activities, to provide insight into the application of knowledge in the business / work world. Students practice their abilities and knowledge in analyzing problems related to the field of study program that occurs in the world of work / business. RSIA Dr. Djoko Pramono is a development of the Singapore Maternity Hospital, which has been serving the Karawang community since 1993. In accordance with its commitment to further improve service quality, and also meet the demands of the community, since March 7, 2007, RB Singaperbangsa officially increased its status to RSB Dr. Djoko Pramono, which is the first specialty hospital in the city of Karawang, and on February 1, 2010 became RSIA (Mother & Child Hospital). The method used in this research is descriptive and library research. Based on the results of practical work on Human Resource Planning at RSIA dr. Djoko Pramono it can be concluded that the Human Resource Planning in the company has not been implemented properly. Because there are still many employees from several work units whose number of employees is not yet effective.

Abstract

Modern stores have grown rapidly in Pati Regency but some of them are out of control, such as too near traditional markets. The objective of the research is to analyse the existence of modern stores, the distribution of them, the local government regulation of them, and to analyse advantages and disadvantages of them for community development. This research uses descriptive quantitative approach. Data collecting is conducted by observation, interview, and field events. This research uses descriptive analysis. There are five main findings in the research. Firstly, modern stores in the study area have grown rapidly. Secondly, the distribution of modern stores is not well managed, in which 19 out of 53 modern stores (35.84%) are established in the sites near traditional markets. Thirdly, the existence of modern stores is not well controlled because 9 out of 53 modern stores are in problems with their permits. Fourthly, there are 20 modern stores which have roles in community development by providing retail space for informal traders. Fifthly, the local government policy concerning minimarket is not well formulated being not governed the distance between modern store to the pre-existing traditional markets and being to conduct a moratorium of permit serving for the establishment of modern stores, which does not refer to national law. Therefore, the existing local policy in managing modern stores should be reviewed to support community development.
