Abstract

The Statistical Package for the Social Sciences (SPSS) application plays a crucial role in research activities at universities for analyzing quantitative data. However, the level of students' confidence in operating this software still varies, influenced by factors such as statistical knowledge, practical experience, and learning support. Therefore, this study aims to describe the level of self-efficacy of Tidar University students regarding the use of SPSS and the factors that influence it, in response to the importance of mastering statistical analysis tools in preparing final assignments and scientific research. This research uses a descriptive quantitative approach, with data collection techniques thru online questionnaires completed by 50 respondents who are students in the Public Administration Study Program at Tidar University. Data analysis was performed using descriptive statistics thru SPSS. The research results show that the majority of students have a high level of confidence in using SPSS. This increase in confidence is particularly significant when they receive assistance in the form of facilities, training, direct guidance, and adequate time allocation to complete their work. Additionally, prior experience using SPSS or similar software and a basic understanding of statistical concepts also contributed to boosting their confidence. Overall, this research concludes that the level of confidence among Tidar University students regarding the use of SPSS falls into the high category. These findings underscore the urgency of practice-focused training, ongoing mentorship, and the availability of a supportive academic environment in building students' self-efficacy regarding the use of SPSS for study purposes and scientific research activities.

Abstract

Human Resources Management has the responsibility of managing the payroll system. The function of the payroll system is to provide compensation to workers in the form of salaries in exchange for contributions from an institution. The payroll data processing process requires a high level of accuracy to avoid errors, so that it can produce accurate salary calculations. The current process of managing payroll data for the Head of Neighborhood Units (RT) in the Sugihan Sukoharjo sub-district still uses manual methods, this causes the presentation of payroll reports to not be able to run quickly because it requires high accuracy. Delays in presenting payroll reports do not rule out the possibility of delays in salary payments. To anticipate this, the RT Head's salary system at the Sugihan Sukoharjo Village Subdistrict Office needs to be supported by a computerized information system. In order to develop a payroll information system for RT Heads at the Sugihan Sukoharjo Village Subdistrict Office, researchers designed a website-based payroll information system using the Native PHP programming language and MySQL database. The researcher presents the design of this payroll information system in the form of scientific research published in research journal format. The aim of designing this website-based payroll information system is to provide convenience for the Human Resources Management section at the Sugihan Sukoharjo Village Office in managing the RT Head's payroll data, so that the presentation of payroll reports becomes faster. Abstract

Objective – This research aims to examine the influence of financial literacy, financial attitude, and financial technology on the financial behavior of employees, with lifestyle as a moderating variable. This study is based on the phenomenon of many Indonesian civil servants falling into debt, reflecting a lack of financial literacy and proper financial management behavior. The study addresses the importance of financial awareness to prevent consumptive lifestyles exacerbated by the use of financial technology (fintech). Design/methodology/approach – Using a quantitative approach, this research employs Partial Least Squares (PLS) Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) analysis on 196 respondents drawn from the civil servant population of UIN Sunan Ampel Surabaya. The study analyzes the variables of financial literacy, financial attitude, financial technology, and lifestyle in relation to financial behavior. Findings – The findings reveal that financial literacy and financial attitude do not significantly affect financial behavior. However, financial technology has a positive and significant impact on financial behavior. Moreover, while lifestyle does not moderate the relationship between financial literacy or financial attitude and financial behavior, it does moderate the relationship between financial technology and financial behavior. This indicates that the influence of fintech on financial behavior is stronger among individuals whose lifestyle aligns with digital and technology-driven practices. Research limitations/implications – This research was conducted within a single institution in Indonesia, which may limit the generalizability of the findings. Future research could examine similar models across different institutions or countries, and explore additional moderating or mediating variables such as financial self-efficacy or digital literacy. Practical implications – The study emphasizes the importance of promoting effective use of fintech tools tailored to users' lifestyles. Organizations should focus on fostering digital financial behavior while acknowledging that financial knowledge and attitude alone may not lead to behavioral change. Practical financial literacy programs should be designed alongside initiatives that promote healthy lifestyle habits. Originality/value – This research uniquely integrates the moderating role of lifestyle in the relationship between financial technology and financial behavior. The study contributes to the growing literature on personal financial management by showing that digital tools are more effective when aligned with users' everyday habits and preferences.

Abstract

The traditional learning media for the human respiratory system at SMA Mujahidin rely heavily on textbooks and Power Point presentations. To enhance this experience, we have developed Augmented Reality (AR) and Virtual Reality (VR) tools that feature realistic 3D animations. These immersive visualizations provide students with a more tangible and concrete understanding of respiratory anatomy and function.  The purpose of this study is to create a flipbook learning medium that integrates AR and VR technologies, ensuring the content is both valid and practical for classroom use. We employed a Research and Development (R&D) approach, adapting Thiagarajan’s original 4D model into a streamlined 3D framework: Define, Design, and Develop. This methodology aims to deliver an engaging, effective learning tool that enhances students’ mastery of the human respiratory system. The data collection instruments included interview sheets, expert validation questionnaires, and student response questionnaires. Validation was carried out by three material experts, three media experts, and three language experts, with each obtaining a percentage of 92.37% for material experts, 95% for media experts, and 93.33% for language experts, indicating that the media is categorized as highly valid. The product trials were conducted in two stages: a small-scale trial involving 22 students (20% of the Grade XI population) and a large-scale trial involving 56 students (50% of the Grade XI population at SMA Mujahidin Pontianak). The results showed that the media received positive feedback, with student response rates of 84.95% in the small-scale trial and 82.6% in the large-scale trial. These findings indicate that the Augmented Reality and Virtual Reality-based learning media are feasibleAbstrak. Abstract

This article aims to examine the quality of distributor services provided to retail consumers in Hamlet VIII, Air Hitam Village. The area has approximately five grocery stores that rely on wholesalers in the city to supply daily necessities. The large number of wholesalers in the city creates intense competition among distributors, encouraging them to improve service quality as a strategy to attract and retain customers. In the Islamic perspective, service quality reflects the principle of khidmah, which emphasizes sincere and excellent service. This study uses a qualitative field research approach, with data collected through direct observations and in-depth interviews with grocery store owners who interact directly with distributors. The analysis focuses on five Islamic service characteristics: honesty, responsibility, keeping promises, friendly service, and traders’ attitudes when dealing with customers. The results show that wholesalers in Tanjung Pura City have implemented these Islamic service values in their business practices. As a result, retail consumers experience satisfaction and loyalty, which in turn has a positive impact on the sustainability and competitiveness of distributors.
