Abstract

Digital transformation in education requires school principals to develop adaptive leadership capabilities in managing change, including the process of educational policy dissemination. This study aims to analyze the implementation of digital leadership among school principals in disseminating educational policies at vocational high schools in Mijen District. This research employed a qualitative approach using a case study design. Data were collected through semi-structured interviews, observation, and documentation. Research participants were selected using purposive sampling, involving school principals, vice principals, teachers, and educational staff who were directly involved in school policy implementation. Data analysis was conducted using the interactive model of Miles, Huberman, and Saldaña, consisting of data condensation, data display, and conclusion drawing. The findings reveal that digital leadership plays an important role in developing technology-based policy communication, improving information dissemination effectiveness, and strengthening digital culture within schools. The implementation of digital leadership is supported by organizational readiness, technological facilities, and openness among school members. However, challenges remain, including differences in digital competence and adaptation to technological changes. This study contributes to the development of digital leadership studies in educational management and provides practical implications for strengthening digital transformation strategies in schools.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze school partnerships with the business and industrial world (DUDI) in improving graduates' work competencies by strengthening work ethics at Vocational High Schools (SMK) in Demak Regency. The research was motivated by the persistent gap between the competencies of vocational high school graduates and the needs of the workforce, particularly in aspects of work ethics such as discipline, responsibility, and adaptability. The study employed a qualitative approach with a case study design. Data were collected through in-depth interviews, participant observation, and documentation. The research informants included the principal, the vice principal for industrial relations, productive teachers, fieldwork instructors, industry partners, and students who had participated in industrial work practices. Data analysis employed the interactive model of Miles, Huberman, and Saldaña, which encompasses data condensation, data presentation, and conclusion drawing. The results indicate that school partnerships with DUDI are realized through fieldwork practices, curriculum synchronization, guest lecturers from industry, and graduate recruitment. Strengthening work ethics is achieved through the instillation of an industrial work culture that emphasizes discipline, responsibility, cooperation, communication, and initiative. Research findings indicate that work ethic plays a crucial role in improving students' technical and non-technical competencies and strengthening graduates' job readiness. This research underscores the importance of ongoing collaboration between schools and the industrial and business sectors (DUDI) in producing competent, character-driven graduates who are well-suited to the needs of the workforce.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the implementation and impact of technology integration in educational administration at secondary schools, given that digital transformation has become an urgent necessity for improving the quality of educational services in the era of globalization. Through an observational and survey-based approach involving education staff, this study analyzes the application of school management systems, e-learning platforms, and financial management software used in daily operations. The observation results indicate that technology integration significantly enhances school operational efficiency, facilitates communication among stakeholders, accelerates administrative processes, and supports more accurate and transparent data-driven decision-making. Nevertheless, this study also identifies several significant challenges, including limited technological infrastructure, low digital competence among some education staff, access disparities between schools, and resistance to a more digitally oriented work culture. These challenges have the potential to hinder implementation effectiveness if not addressed comprehensively. Based on these findings, this study recommends strengthening continuous training programs, providing adequate and evenly distributed technological infrastructure, and formulating systematic and well-planned technology integration policies as key prerequisites for the success of digital transformation in secondary school educational administration.

Abstract

Kurikulum Merdeka has become one of the government’s programs in an effort to develop the quality of education by giving schools the freedom to develop content, methods, models, and learning assessments in accordance with the characteristics of the local environment, culture, and issues around, as well as student potential. This study aims to examine the role of the Kurikulum Merdeka improving the quality of education in primary schools. The subject of this study is SDN 8 Suwawal where the school is one of the primary schools in Jepara that has implemented the Independent Curriculum in the 2022/2023 academic year. The research method used is a qualitative research type case study. The research design used is using data collection techniques through observation, interviews, and documentation. The results of the study show that the implementation of the Kurikulum Merdeka has a positive impact on improving the quality of education in primary schools, including: increasing student motivation to learn, developing creativity and 21st-century skills, strengthening character and national values in accordance with the 6 dimensions of Pancasila, and increasing teacher independence and professionalism.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine the implementation of Kahoot and Teams Games Tournament in improving student motivation and learning outcomes in the field of mathematics. The research method applied is a mixed method with a concurrent model. The subjects of this study were 34 grade 6 students. The data collection methods employed encompassed observation, questionnaires, interviews, and testing. Learning motivation was measured by applying a questionnaire that had previously been tested for validity and reliability, with a Likert scale (score 1-5). The interview used 10 questions, while the test instrument included pretest and posttest. Sampling was conducted using the purposive-sampling method. The results showed that the use of Kahoot and TGT increased students' learning motivation by 86%. In addition, the integration of Kahoot with TGT cooperative learning model improved the mathematics learning outcomes of grade VI students at MI Muhammadiyah Madiun City. The pre-test results showed 65.15% completeness, while the post-test reached 81.62%. Interviews and questionnaires indicated 100% of students were interested, active, and had positive emotional responses and a desire to repeat learning with this method. The integration of Kahoot and TGT proved to be an effective and fun learning tool.

Abstract

Abstract: The era of Society 5.0 demands digital literacy as an important skill in education, especially in Indonesian language learning in elementary schools. This study aims to (1) describe the cultivation of ethical and security aspects in digital information access, and (2) explore the cultivation of ethical and security aspects in the application of digital literacy in Indonesian language learning in elementary schools. This study uses a qualitative approach with an ethnographic type. The research subjects include the principal, Indonesian language teachers, and fifth-grade students at the elementary school where the research was conducted. Data collection techniques were carried out through interviews, observations, and document analysis. Data validity was obtained through source and method triangulation, while data analysis was conducted inductively. The results of the study show that (1) the cultivation of ethics and security in the aspect of digital information access is reflected in the students' ability to access digital learning resources independently with the guidance of teachers using school devices, and (2) the cultivation of ethics and security in the aspect of application is demonstrated through the students' vigilant and responsible attitude in using digital media, especially in maintaining the privacy of personal data. The conclusion of this study shows that the cultivation of digital literacy ethics and security can shape students who are responsible in learning, able to collaborate online and offline, and have an initial awareness of creating and utilizing digital content safely, creatively, and innovatively. Keyword: security ethics, digital literacy, Indonesian language learning, elementary school Abstrak: Era Society 5.0 menuntut literasi digital sebagai keterampilan penting dalam pendidikan, khususnya pada pembelajaran Bahasa Indonesia di sekolah dasar. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk (1) mendeskripsikan pembudayaan aspek etika dan keamanan dalam akses informasi digital, serta (2) mengeksplorasi pembudayaan aspek etika dan keamanan dalam penerapan literasi digital pada pembelajaran Bahasa Indonesia di sekolah dasar. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan jenis etnografi. Subjek penelitian meliputi kepala sekolah, guru Bahasa Indonesia, dan siswa kelas V di sekolah dasar tempat penelitian. Teknik pengumpulan data dilakukan melalui wawancara, observasi, dan analisis dokumen. Keabsahan data diperoleh melalui triangulasi sumber dan metode, sedangkan analisis data dilakukan secara induktif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa (1) pembudayaan etika dan keamanan pada aspek akses informasi digital tercermin dari kemampuan siswa mengakses sumber belajar digital secara mandiri dengan bimbingan guru menggunakan perangkat sekolah, serta (2) pembudayaan etika dan keamanan pada aspek penerapan ditunjukkan melalui sikap waspada dan bertanggung jawab siswa dalam menggunakan media digital, khususnya dalam menjaga privasi data pribadi. Simpulan penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa pembudayaan etika dan keamanan literasi digital mampu membentuk siswa yang bertanggung jawab dalam belajar, mampu berkolaborasi secara daring maupun luring, serta memiliki kesadaran awal dalam menciptakan dan memanfaatkan konten digital secara aman, kreatif, dan inovatif. Abstract

Abstract: The purpose of this study is to describe and explore the cultivation of punctuality in extracurricular drum band activities in elementary schools, including arriving on time and leaving on time. This is a qualitative-ethnographic study. The research subjects consisted of the principal, supervising teacher, coach, and students participating in the drum band at the elementary school where the research was conducted. Data were collected through interviews, observations, and documents. Validation was conducted using triangulation of sources and methods. Data were analyzed inductively. The results of the study show that the cultivation of time discipline in the drum band is formed through planned training, the example set by the advisor, routine evaluations, and collaboration between the school and parents. Keyword: drum band, extracurricular activities, cultural activities, punctuality Abstrak: Tujuan penelitian ini adalah menguraikan dan mengeksplorasi pembudayaan karakter disiplin tepat waktu dalam kegiatan ekstrakulikuler drumband di sekolah dasar, meliputi hadir tepat waktu dan pulang tepat waktu. Jenis penelitian kualitatif-etnografi. Subjek penelitian terdiri dari kepala sekolah, guru Pembina, pelatih, dan siswa peserta drumband si SD tempat penelitian. Data dikumpulkan dengan wawancara, observasi, dan dokumen. Validasi dengan triangulasi sumber dan metode. Data dianalisis dengan induktif. Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa pembudayaan disiplin waktu drumband terbentuk melalui latihan terencana, keteladanan Pembina, evaluasi rutin, dan kolaborasi sekolah dan orang tua. Abstract

Constructing valid mathematical proofs is a fundamental yet persistent challenge for students. This study investigates the developmental trajectory of proof construction abilities among Indonesian students, spanning from upper secondary school (Grades 10-11) to undergraduate mathematics levels. Adopting a descriptive cross-sectional design, data were collected from 479 participants using open-ended proof construction tasks and a survey on proof perception. The results reveal a pervasive dominance of empirical proof schemes, where students rely on specific numerical examples rather than generalized logical arguments. Notably, formal proof construction was virtually non-existent at the secondary level, highlighting a significant pedagogical gap. While the frequency of formal proof attempts increased among university students, valid execution remained limited, indicating a disconnect between students' strategic knowledge and their normative understanding of "correct" proof. Furthermore, findings show a critical misalignment between perception and performance; students often recognized formal algebraic arguments as superior yet reverted to empirical methods in practice. The study concludes that the transition from inductive to deductive reasoning does not occur naturally and requires explicit instructional interventions to bridge the cognitive rupture between secondary calculation-based mathematics and tertiary formal reasoning.

Abstract

Problem-solving skills and Computational Thinking (CT) are very important skills in today's digital era. Improving the ability of CT mathematics education students is becoming increasingly important as the need for skills develops in the 21st century. Project-based learning (PBL) has been shown to be effective in improving these skills. However, the limited research examining the impact of PBL with Delphi software on computational thinking skills in mathematics education encourages the need for further research. This study aims to explore the impact of project-based learning with Delphi on improving students' computational thinking skills. This type of research is a quantitative research with a quasi-experimental design. The population is 6th semester students of mathematics education. The sample consisted of two classes totaling 40 students. The results of the T test showed that the experimental group showed a significant improvement compared to the control group (t = 4,102, p < 0.05). The implications of this research are important for the development of a technology-based mathematics education curriculum. It is recommended for further research with a larger sample of different institutions to explore the long-term impact as well as other factors that may affect project-based learning outcomes.

Abstract

This study aims to explore the language politeness of elementary school students in daily interactions, analyze the integration of digital literacy in Indonesian language learning, and describe the barriers in the process. Using a qualitative approach with a phenomenological design, the research was conducted at ICT Al Abidin Elementary School in Surakarta. Data was collected through observation, interviews, and documentation study, the research was analyzed using Miles and Huberman's interactive technique. The results showed that students had a fairly good level of language politeness in formal contexts, but still faced challenges in informal and digital interactions. The integration of digital literacy in Indonesian language learning has been comprehensively implemented, including the use of e-books, online information search, and multimedia projects. Students show a positive response to this integration. The main barriers include access to inappropriate content and challenges in teaching language politeness in digital environments. This study concludes that despite significant progress, continued efforts are needed to maximize the potential of technology in effective Indonesian language learning that is relevant to the digital era.
