Abstract

This study aims to analyze the role of self-acceptance in mediating the influence of gratitude and social support on subjective well-being. The sample criteria include mothers who have children with special needs, specifically those with children aged 1 to 12 years. The total number of samples used was 102 participants. The sampling technique employed was purposive sampling. The instruments used to measure the subjective well-being variables were the SWLS (Satisfaction with Life Scale) and PANAS (Positive Affect Negative Affect Schedule). The gratitude variable was measured using the Gratitude Questionnaire (GQ-6), while social support was assessed using the MSPSS (Multidimensional Scale of Perceived Social Support). Self-acceptance was measured using the Porter Parent Acceptance Scale (PPAS). Data analysis was conducted in the form of mediation analysis using JASP version 18.3. The results showed that self-acceptance significantly mediated the influence of gratitude and social support on subjective well-being. The magnitude of the influence of gratitude and social support on self-acceptance was 63.7%, while the combined influence of gratitude, social support, and self-acceptance on subjective well-being was 97.4%. This indicates that the role of gratitude and social support, with the mediation of self-acceptance, is substantial in shaping subjective well-being for mothers who have children with special needs. The findings of this study are also recommended for the development of counseling guidance science by emphasizing mothers' self-acceptance to foster positive subjective well-being.

Abstract

This systematic review analyzes the impact of bullying on victims and perpetrators among elementary school students. This study used inclusion and exclusion criteria to filter relevant articles published between 2022 and 2024. Articles were obtained from two databases, Taylor & Francis and ScienceDirect, with the help of Boolean operators according to keywords. The study selection process followed the PRISMA method which involved four stages: identification, screening, eligibility, and inclusion. Of the total 6,527 articles identified, five articles met the inclusion criteria. Data synthesis was carried out qualitatively through thematic analysis. This review included five studies with a total sample of more than 97,000 participants from Spain, China, the United States, South Korea, and the Netherlands. The main results showed that bullying behavior significantly increased the risk of anxiety, depression, and suicidal ideation. In addition, bullies also experience long-term impacts, including behavioral and academic problems and the risk of criminality in adulthood. Limitations of this study include the use of a cross-sectional design, potential reporting bias, and lack of representation in cultural and long-term contexts. Future research should focus on longitudinal studies, more diverse instruments, and populations. These findings underscore the importance of comprehensive bullying prevention programs and targeted psychological interventions to address both the immediate and long-term impacts of bullying._____________________________________________________________Tinjauan sistematis ini menganalisis dampak bullying terhadap korban dan pelaku di kalangan siswa Sekolah Dasar.

Abstract

This systematic literature review aims to compile and describe the contribution of locus of control to students' academic procrastination. One approach to literature study is a Systematic Literature Review (SLR). This research uses a systematic literature review using the Prisma method. To maintain the accuracy of the assessment and prevent errors in information in data analysis, cross-library checks are carried out, and re-reading the literature and paying attention to the reviewer's comments. The results of this study show that the relationship between Locus of Control and academic procrastination is positive. This illustrates that the higher the Locus of Control, the lower the students' academic procrastination. Locus of control is an important factor in reducing academic procrastination because the greater the value of a person's locus of control, the more that the individual can control himself, which makes him able to be responsible for his obligation.

Abstract

The part of the phenomena of vocational high school students' (SMK) perplexity about their future profession options are attributed to their immaturity and lack of preparedness for the workforce. With an ex post facto study using a sample of 280 students from SMKN 6 Kota Semarang, the purpose of this research is to investigate the impact of peer social support and self-efficacy on their career maturity. Multiple linear regression analysis was used to test the research findings, and the results show that career maturity is highly affected by self-efficacy. In a similar vein, career maturity is greatly affected by peer social support. Thus, career maturity is affected by both peer social support and self-efficacy combined. These results help to clarify the requirements and difficulties faced by students when selecting their future careers, allowing for more targeted and efficient counseling.

Abstract

The increase in divorce cases has raised concerns about the psychological well-being of affected children, with the risk of anxiety, depression, and behavioral disorders. The purpose of this writing is to find out the impact of divorce on children's mental health. The method used is a systematic literature review using databases from PubMed and ScienceDirect. The search was carried out using the keywords children, divorce, marital dissolution, mental health. Article screening used the PRISMA method and 8 articles were found that were in accordance with the research topic. The results showed that divorce increased the risk of mental problems such as anxiety, depression, behavioral problems, and decreased academic performance. In addition, children from divorced families face a higher risk of mental disorders. High parental conflict exacerbates negative effects, while good social and emotional support can reduce those adverse effects. This study highlights the importance of paying special attention to the mental well-being of children post-divorce to prevent adverse long-term effects. It is hoped that the results of this study can deepen the understanding of the impact of divorce and help develop support strategies for children who have experienced parental divorce, in order to reduce the risk of long-term mental health disorders.
