Abstract

Marriages that occur between husband and wife who do not live together or live in two different areas are called long distance marriages. Long-distance marriage relationships require trust and confidence in the partner so as not to cause conflict in the marriage. The initial phenomenon in the field is that there are wives who have low subjective well-being when undergoing long distance marriages. The aim of this research is to describe the subjective well-being of wives who undergo long-distance marriages on the cognitive and affective aspects. This research uses a quantitative approach with a descriptive research type. The population in this study were wives who underwent long distance marriages in Sasak Ranah Pasisie District with a sample of 72 people, who were selected by total sampling technique. Collecting data in this study using a questionnaire using a Likert scale model. The results of this study revealed that in general, the subjective well-being of wives undergoing long-distance marriages in Sasak Ranah Pasisie District was in the moderate category with a percentage of 52.8%. Based on the subjective well-being aspect, it is categorized: (1) the cognitive aspect is in the high category with a percentage of 56.9%, (2) the affective aspect is in the medium category with a percentage of 44.4%. So it can be interpreted that wives who undergo long distance marriages have quite good subjective well-being. The results of this study can be used as input for counselors to provide premarital counseling and family counseling, and are expected to be able to provide counseling services to clients undergoing long distance marriage who have problems related to low subjective well-being through individual counseling and information services.

Abstract

Phubbing adalah perilaku yang menggambarkan orang yang terus memperhatikan smartphone selama berinteraksi dengan orang lain. Mahasiswa yang terlambat studi diakibatkan karena secara umum terjadi karena keseringan bermain smartphone. Pada saat bermain smartphone mahasiswa tidak fokus dengan waktu, kurang suka berinteraksi, tidak menghargai, dan tidak peduli dengan lingkungan disekitarnya. Phubbing behavior dapat dilihat dari dua aspek yaitu : 1) Aspek gangguan komunikasi, 2) Aspek obsesi terhadap ponsel. Metode penelitian ini adalah kualitatif dengan sampel sebanyak 3 orang mahasiswa dengan kriterianya yaitu: 1) Mahasiswa yang dipilih adalah mahasiswa FIS, 2) Mahasiswa tahun masuk 2017, 3) Mahasiswa yang memiliki ponsel berjenis smartphone, 4) Mahasiswa berjenis kelamin perempuan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa Phubbing Behavior pada mahasiswa yang terlambat studi secara keseluruhan berada pada kategori tinggi. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian ini layanan bimbingan dan konseling yang dapat diberikan untuk mengatasi tingginya perilaku phubbing pada mahasiswa yang terlambat studi yaitu Layanan konseling individu berbasis realita dan konseling Cognitif Behavior Teraphy (CBT).

Abstract

Pada era saat ini teknologi selalu mengalami kemajuan dengan melahirkan alat-alat teknologi canggih yang banyak digunakan untuk membantu kebutuhan manusia dan salah satunya yaitu smartphone. Namun dengan adanya kemajuan ini membuat beberapa individu tidak bisa mengontrol diri mereka dalam penggunaan smartphone sehingga menimbulkan kecanduan terhadap smartphone, itulah yang menyebabkan terbentuknya perilaku agresif pada remaja. Fenomena ini ditemui pada remaja khususnya siswa. Oleh karena itu penelitian ini bertujuan (1) mendeskripsikan kecanduan smartphone siswa (2) mendeskripsikan perilaku agresif siswa. (3) menguji apakah terdapat hubungan yang signifikan antara kecanduan smartphone dengan perilaku agresif siswa. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kuantitatif dengan pendekatan deskriptif. Sampel pada penelitian ini adalah 82 siswa SMK N 3 Padang yang dipilih dengan menggunakan teknik purposive sampling. Data yang diperoleh dengan cara memberikan instrumen penelitian kecanduan smartphone dan perilaku agresif kepada siswa yang sudah diuji validitas dengan rumus pearson correlation dan uji reliabilitas dengan rumus cronbach alpha. Analisis data dalam penelitian ini menggunakan metode deskriptif dengan persentase dan analisis korelasional untuk mendeskripsikan hubungan kecanduan smartphone dengan perilaku agresif. Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa: (1) kecanduan smartphone berada pada kategori rendah, (2) perilaku agresif berada pada kategori sedang, dan (3) terdapat hubungan positif yang signifikan antara kecanduan smartphone dengan perilaku agresif dengan koefisien korelasi sebesar 0.342 dengan nilai signifikansi sebesar 0.002 pada tingkatan hubungan yang lemah. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian ini layanan bimbingan dan konseling yang dapat diberikan untuk mereduksi perilaku kecanduan smartphone dan agresif siswa yaitu layanan informasi, layanan konseling individual dan layanan bimbingan kelompok.

Abstract

Interest in continuing higher education is a desire that comes from within students, which is accompanied by determination and effort. Interests have a very important role in a person's life and have a big impact on his attitude and behavior. This study aims to determine the factors that influence the interest of SMK students to continue their education to tertiary institutions. This research is a qualitative research with a phenomenological approach. The subjects in this study were 7 people, 3 main subjects namely vocational students who had an interest in continuing their education in tertiary institutions, 4 informants consisting of parents and teachers using the Snowball Sampling technique. The instruments in this study were interview guides, observations , recording equipment and documentation, while the analysis of the data that has been obtained from the results of the interviews, is then used as a transcript, coded, and given a theme as a result of the findings and after that the data is interpreted. The results of the study show that there are two factors that influence the interest of vocational students in continuing their education to tertiary institutions, namely internal and external factors. Internal factors that influence the interest of vocational students to continue their education to tertiary institutions are attention, desire, motivation and needs. While the external factors are encouragement from parents, encouragement from peers, encouragement from teachers, availability of facilities and infrastructure, and environmental conditions.

Abstract

This research is motivated by phenomena related to the suitability and incompatibility between the choice of career aspirations of junior high school students and the careers of their parents. Career selection is influenced by several aspects including genetic influences, childhood experiences and individual needs. This study aims to describe the suitability between the career aspirations of junior high school students and their parents' careers. The research method is quantitative with descriptive research type. The research population was 55 people, a sample of 48 students, using a purposive sampling technique. Collecting data using a career choice questionnaire with a Likert scale model. The results of this study found: choice of career goals on the aspect of genetic influence in the high category (54.2%), choice of career aspirations on the aspect of childhood experience in the medium category (47.9%), choice of career aspirations in aspects of individual needs in the high category (60.4%). It was concluded that the choice of students' career aspirations is in accordance with the career of their parents, then counseling services are needed as a follow-up to determine the suitability of the choice of career aspirations with their talents and potential.

Abstract

This research was motivated by the low prosocial behavior of class VI students at SDN 01 Ampang, Padang City. The aim of this research is to describe 1) Online game addiction, 2) Prosocial behavior, 3) The influence of online game addiction on students' prosocial behavior. The questions of this research are 1) what is the picture of students' online game addiction, 2) what is the picture of students' prosocial behavior, and 3) is there a significant influence between online game addiction and students' prosocial behavior. The results of this research show that 37 students at SDN 01 Ampang who are addicted to online games are in the high category with a percentage of 71% of the 52 respondents, while the prosocial behavior of students at SDN 01 Ampang is generally in the moderate category at 25 students with a percentage of 48%. And the correlation/relationship value (R) is 0.339, meaning that Variable Which means that the influence of the independent variable (addictive online games) on the dependent variable (prosocial behavior) is 11.5%. Thus it can be concluded that 11.5% of students' prosocial behavior is influenced by online game addiction, 88.5% is influenced by other factors. The implications for Guidance and Counseling services are that Counselors/BK Teachers can provide Information Services, Individual Counseling and Group Guidance to students to provide students with understanding regarding the dangers of online game addiction and increase students' prosocial behavior.

Abstract

Early marriage is a marriage carried out by teenagers aged 15 to 20 years, and there is no readiness to marry. Satisfaction in marriage is very important, because the fulfillment of household relations will be more harmonious. This study aims to determine marital satisfaction in early age couples. This research is a qualitative research using a case study approach. The subjects in this study were 5 couples who married at an early age, 3 of them married because of their own desires and 2 couples married because they were pregnant out of wedlock, as well as 5 informants. The instruments in this study were interview guides and documentation, while the analysis of the data that had been obtained from the interviews was then used as a transcript, and given a theme as a result of the findings and after that, the data was interpreted. The results showed that marital satisfaction was only found in sexual satisfaction, whereas in the communication aspect one group of subjects was found to be satisfied, because communication in the household of subject group 1 went well and understood each other, while in the aspect of joint activities, religion, problem solving and financial satisfaction were not found. Marital satisfaction is very important in a husband and wife relationship in order to create a harmonious relationship and early marriage does not guarantee marital satisfaction and happiness, so it is suggested that couples who want to get married should reconsider, so that unwanted households do not occur.

Abstract

Abstract. Domestic Violence is mostly experienced by women and children. Victims of domestic violence will be moody, quiet, aggressive, and tend to have less assertive behavior. Assertive behavior is the ability to convey what you want, feel, and think to others openly and honestly without intending to offend. This study aims to determine the description of assertive behavior in child victims of domestic violence. The study was conducted on 4 student victims of domestic violence (4 girls; aged 17-19 years; student status, students, and private employees) through observation and interviews with data reduction analysis, data presentation, and conclusion drawing. The results showed that the assertive behavior of children, as the victims of domestic violence, was equally low indicated by the request to convey rights, rejection of invitations, self-expression, giving praise to people, and taking part in the conversation. The difference, however, is found in the aspect of rejection, subjects DFS, IR, P are better than subject C. To increase assertive behavior in children who are victims of domestic violence, an exercise to communicate assertively at home for children and parents is needed so that children and parents can improve their ability to control emotions, hence minimizing the mistreatment of children. Therefore, the role of Guidance and Counseling is very much needed through information services and content mastery. The material that can be given is the application of assertiveness on daily basis to children as victims of domestic violence.Keywords: assertive; children victims of domestic violence; perspective of guidance and counseling.

Abstract

This study is being done in Kerinci to find out how people understand and interpret gender and how the five Kerinci men and women are being used as informants based on life guidance, social relationships, perceptions of patriarchy, social behavior, and the woman's dual role. Case studies and phenomenological data are used in this qualitative study. The informants are chosen on purpose. There are five Kerinci men and women with more than one job, such as government workers, business owners, politicians, or people who run home businesses. The results of this study show that in five cases of Kerinci man and wife informants understand and interpret gender as agreement and conformity of man's and woman's function in taking the role based on cultural and religious values, which are Hargo lihi, adat istiadat, raso sgan, raso go, and religiosity, as part of life-guidance, because these values become the binding frame of man and wife in gender implementation. In the five Kerinci man and wife as informants’ case, the double roles of women are seen in the financial development, spiritual gift, motivation, and achievement of themselves and their family. This is because Kerinci people don't stop their wives from working, and their religion lets them do so as long as they keep their hargo lihi, self-esteem, and husband's agreement. Even though there isn't much time to spend at home with your husband in the evening, that doesn't mean it's not good.

Abstract

Penelitian ini berlatar belakang dari tingginya kasus kekerasan dan pelecehan seksual yang begitu mengkhawatirkan di Provinsi Aceh saat ini. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk Pengembangan Buku Ajar Bimbingan dan Konseling Anak Usia Dini sebagai Upaya Pencegahan Pelecehan Seksual Terhadap Anak. Jenis penelitian ini merupakan penelitian pengembangan atau Research and Development yang mengikuti langkah-langkah pengembangan model Analyze, Design, Development, Implementation, dan Evaluation. Subjek dalam penelitian ini adalah dua ahli yang memvalidasi standarisasi buku ajar yang meliputi: kelayakan isi, kelayakan Bahasa, dan kelayakan penyajian. Selanjutnya uji keterpaiakan dilakukan oleh tiga orang Dosen dan dua puluh orang Mahasiswa. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian yang telah dilaksanakan menunjukan bahwa hasil validasi kelayakan isi memiliki nilai rata-rata sebesar 3,63 menunjukkan buku ajar sangat layak untuk digunakan. Kelayakan Bahasa memiliki nilai rata-rata sebesar 3,67 menunjukkan bahan ajar sangat layak digunakan, dan kelayakan penyajian memiliki nilai rata-rata sebesar 3,74 menunjukkan bahan ajar sangat layak digunakan. Dari hasil validasi standarisasi pengembangan buku ajar menunjukan hasil sangat layak dan dinyatakan valid sehingga sangat layak untuk digunakan dalam penelitian, dan berdasarkan hasil analisa data penelitian yang meliputi tanggapan dan penilaian yang diperoleh dari dua puluh tiga responden yang terdiri dari tiga orang Dosen Pengampu Mata Kuliah Bimbingan Konseling Anak Usia Dini dan dua puluh orang Mahasiswa Program Studi Pendidikan Guru Pendidikan Anak Usia Dini terhadap kualitas buku ajar yang dikembangkan diperoleh rata-rata 3,49. Hasil penelitian ini dapat di simpulkan bahwa Pengembangan Buku Ajar Bimbingan dan Konseling Anak Usia Dini sebagai upaya pencegahan pelecehan seksual terhadap anak yang telah disusun secara sistematis telah mencapai taraf keefektifan.AbstractThis research is based on the high number of cases of sexual violence and harassment which are currently worrying in Aceh Province. This research aims to develop an Early Childhood Guidance and Counseling Textbook as an Effort to Prevent Sexual Abuse of Children. This type of research is development research or Research and Development which follows the steps of developing the Analyze, Design, Development, Implementation and Evaluation model. The subjects in this research were two experts who validated the standardization of textbooks which included: appropriateness of content, appropriateness of language, and appropriateness of presentation. Next, the suitability test was carried out by three lecturers and twenty students. Based on the results of research that has been carried out, it shows that the validation results for the suitability of the content have an average value of 3.63, indicating that the textbook is very suitable for use. Language suitability has an average value of 3.67, indicating that teaching materials are very suitable for use, and presentation feasibility has an average value of 3.74, indicating that teaching materials are very suitable for use. From the validation results of the standardization of textbook development, it shows that the results are very feasible and declared valid so that they are very suitable for use in research, and based on the results of research data analysis which includes responses and assessments obtained from twenty-three respondents consisting of three Lecturers in Guidance Courses. Early Childhood Counseling and twenty students from the Early Childhood Education Teacher Education Study Program on the quality of the textbooks developed obtained an average of 3.49. The results of this research can be concluded that the development of Early Childhood Guidance and Counseling Textbooks as an effort to prevent sexual abuse of children which has been prepared systematically has reached a level of effectiveness.
