Abstract

This study aims to analyze the potential for developing the export of Virgin Coconut Oil (VCO) from Sulalam Topejawa as a flagship regional product of Takalar Regency. The study employs a qualitative approach using a case study method to deeply explore internal and external factors influencing VCO exports. Data collection methods include in-depth interviews, direct observations, document analysis, and comparative studies with other countries such as the Philippines and Sri Lanka. The results show that although global demand for VCO continues to increase, Sulalam VCO still faces significant challenges, including low production standards, lack of international certification, traditional production technology, and weak global branding and marketing strategies. On the other hand, the product has advantages such as abundant local raw material availability, high health value as a natural product, and significant potential for product diversification. Strategies to enhance competitiveness can be carried out through improving production standards and obtaining international certifications such as USDA Organic and HACCP, optimizing global supply chains, implementing aggressive digital marketing, and diversifying products through innovation. Synergy between the government, private sector, and local communities is also essential for the successful development of Sulalam VCO exports. This study provides important recommendations for business actors and the government in developing the VCO industry sustainably, thereby enhancing the competitiveness of local products in the international market and positively impacting the economic well-being of the local community.

Abstract

Abstract

Pharmaceutical nanotechnology has emerged as a promising approach to enhance the bioavailability and therapeutic efficacy of drugs. Many drugs suffer from poor solubility, limited absorption, and rapid metabolism, leading to suboptimal therapeutic outcomes. Nanotechnology-based drug delivery systems offer solutions to these challenges by improving the stability, solubility, and controlled release of pharmaceuticals. This study explores the use of nanotechnology in the design and development of drug delivery systems aimed at enhancing bioavailability and optimizing therapeutic efficacy. The primary objective is to evaluate the effectiveness of various nanocarriers, including liposomes, dendrimers, and polymeric nanoparticles, in improving drug solubility and ensuring targeted delivery. The research employs in vitro and in vivo models to assess drug release profiles, absorption rates, and pharmacokinetic properties. The results demonstrate that nanotechnology-based systems significantly improve drug bioavailability and extend therapeutic efficacy by providing controlled and sustained drug release, reducing side effects, and enhancing cellular uptake. In conclusion, pharmaceutical nanotechnology offers a powerful strategy to overcome the limitations of conventional drug delivery systems, providing a pathway for more effective treatments in various therapeutic areas.

Abstract

In communication, speaking acts as a productive skill that allows a person to convey ideas and meanings through voice articulation. In the context of English learning, it is important to find method/approach/technique that can stimulate students' interest in practicing speaking skills. Script from a movie offers advantages in improving speaking skills as they are able to capture students' attention and stimulate their curiosity. The aim of this paper is to assess the impact of employing movie scripts in the classroom to enhance students' speaking abilities. Fifty-eight English department students from a State Islamic University in Aceh participated in the study. They were divided into two groups: control (NUMS-None of Using Movie Script) and experimental (UMS-Using Movie Script). Prior to and subsequent to the treatment, they were screened. The students in the experimental group were assigned a task to create a video recording in groups of five characters from a movie at the conclusion of each meeting. They were also provided with a movie script and interactive instruction by the teachers. The results of the study suggest that there was a substantial difference between the pre-test and post-test. The mean difference of both post-tests was 65.9310 for the experimental group and 55.5862 for the control group. As the result, students' speaking ability improved after they learned how to use movie scripts properly, which enabled them to gain confidence, overcome the challenge of memorizing the script, easily organize ideas, and enrich their vocabulary stock. Accordingly, the mean score of the pre-test increased more than that of the post-test.

Abstract

Food security is a condition where food is sufficiently available for one's body. The magnitude of the impact caused by the lack of food security makes it necessary to pay attention to its availability because this can cause problems of malnutrition so that health status decreases. The purpose of this study was to determine the relationship between family food security and the nutritional status of toddlers in Tamalate sub-district, Makassar City. The method used is observational using the design case-control with descriptive research design using quantitative and qualitative approaches. Data collection was carried out by means of observation, interviews with mothers who have children aged 23-60 months as many as 73 toddlers. The results showed that toddlers who experienced Normal Nutrition were as many as 24 toddlers with Food Resilience, followed by Light Food Insecurity 12 toddlers with Malnutrition status with a value of 0.05 P-Value = 0.045 < 0.05 and it can be concluded that there is a relationship between food security and the nutritional status of toddlers in the Tamalate Health Center environment which is located in Kel. Pr Tambung Kec. Tamalate Makassar City. This research can then be used as information material for further related research.
