Abstract

This study examines the effectiveness of integrating YouTube-based Project-Based Learning (PjBL) to enhance students’ interest in Islamic Religious Education (IRE). A quasi-experimental post-test-only control group design was employed, involving tenth-grade students at SMK Geomatika Lampung, a vocational secondary school in Indonesia. Students’ learning interest was measured using a validated Likert-scale questionnaire, and the data were analyzed through normality, homogeneity, and independent samples t-tests. The findings revealed a statistically significant difference in learning interest between students taught using YouTube-based PjBL and those taught through conventional methods (p < 0.05). The integration of project-based learning with digital video media promoted active engagement, motivation, and positive affective responses in IRE learning. However, since the study was conducted in a single vocational school context, the findings should be interpreted cautiously and may not be generalized to all vocational secondary schools without further empirical validation. Future research involving broader and more diverse samples is recommended to strengthen generalizability.

Abstract

Perkembangan Artificial Intelligence (AI) dalam pendidikan tinggi telah membawa perubahan signifikan terhadap praktik penulisan ilmiah mahasiswa, khususnya dalam penyusunan kerangka artikel, pengembangan ide, serta penyempurnaan struktur bahasa akademik. Meskipun demikian, penggunaan AI yang tidak disertai pemahaman konseptual dan kesadaran etika akademik berpotensi menimbulkan pelanggaran integritas ilmiah serta melemahkan kemampuan berpikir kritis mahasiswa. Kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan literasi AI dan kesadaran integritas akademik mahasiswa tingkat akhir Program Studi Pendidikan Matematika Fakultas Keguruan dan Ilmu Pendidikan Universitas Dayanu Ikhsanuddin dalam memanfaatkan AI secara bijak dan bertanggung jawab. Kegiatan dilaksanakan pada 25 Oktober 2025 dengan melibatkan 20 mahasiswa sebagai peserta. Metode yang digunakan meliputi penyadaran mengenai konsep dan batasan AI dalam konteks akademik, pelatihan praktik penggunaan AI sebagai alat bantu penulisan, serta refleksi kritis terhadap hasil yang dihasilkan sistem. Hasil kegiatan menunjukkan adanya peningkatan pemahaman mahasiswa mengenai fungsi AI sebagai alat pendukung, bukan pengganti proses intelektual, serta meningkatnya kesadaran untuk melakukan verifikasi dan evaluasi terhadap setiap output yang digunakan dalam karya ilmiah. Kegiatan ini berkontribusi dalam membangun budaya akademik yang adaptif terhadap perkembangan teknologi digital tanpa mengabaikan prinsip kejujuran ilmiah dan kemandirian berpikir.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to examine how well the cooperative learning model, which uses the Snowball Throwing technique and is supplemented by Gimkit media, can increase the learning motivation of eleventh-grade students at MAN 2 Bandar Lampung in the Akidah Akhlak topic. The study used a posttest-only control group design using a quantitative, quasi-experimental methodology. Two classes were chosen by simple random sampling to make up the research sample: a control class that was taught using traditional teaching techniques and an experimental class that received instruction using the Snowball Throwing model with assistance from Gimkit. A learning motivation questionnaire was used as the study tool; its validity and reliability were assessed using Cronbach's Alpha, which produced a coefficient of 0.750. Normality and homogeneity tests were used to analyze the data, and then an independent samples t-test was performed. The results indicated that the data were normally distributed and homogeneous. The results of the t-test analysis showed a statistically significant difference in learning motivation between the experimental and control groups, with a significance value of 0.000 (p < 0.05). Thus, it has been demonstrated that the Snowball Throwing learning approach, which Gimkit supports, improves students' motivation to learn in the Akidah Akhlak course. The integration of the Snowball Throwing cooperative learning model with a gamification-based digital medium, specifically used in Akidah Akhlak instruction at the Madrasah Aliyah level, is what makes this study novel.

Abstract

Purpose of the study: This study aims to determine the effect of the Think-Talk-Write learning strategy on the mastery of the concept of the human digestive system in junior high school students and to determine the activities and responses of students during Biology learning using this strategy. Methodology: This study used a quasi-experimental method with a two-group pretest-posttest design. The research instruments included multiple-choice tests, observation sheets, and student response questionnaires. The sampling techniques used were purposive sampling and random sampling. Data analysis was performed using the Liliefors test, Fisher's exact test, t-test, and N-Gain analysis. Main Findings: The results of the study showed that the Think-Talk-Write learning strategy significantly influenced mastery of the concept of the human digestive system. Students in the experimental class achieved better learning outcomes than those in the control class. Student activity during learning increased at each meeting, and most students responded positively to the implementation of the Think-Talk-Write strategy in Biology learning. Novelty/Originality of this study: The novelty of this research lies in the specific application of the Think-Talk-Write strategy to the human digestive system to measure junior high school students' conceptual mastery. This study also integrates analysis of conceptual mastery, learning activities, and student responses, providing a more comprehensive picture of the effectiveness of the Think-Talk-Write strategy in biology learning.

Abstract

Academic writing is an essential skill for students, researchers, and professionals who aim to convey ideas, concepts, and findings systematically and logically. This article discusses the art of structuring ideas in scholarly writing by integrating formality, logic, and creativity to ensure the text remains both communicative and engaging. This study employs a literature review approach to analyze academic writing literature from various books, journals, and scholarly articles. The findings indicate that an effective academic style emphasizes clear formal language, valid references, and objectivity. Presenting arguments from general to specific, using examples and illustrations, creating an outline, developing paragraphs around a single main idea, and employing transitions between paragraphs are all strategies for effectively packaging ideas. The processes of revision, cohesion, coherence, and terminological consistency are also critical components in enhancing the quality of writing. This article concludes that writing in an academic style is a combination of the art of idea presentation and logical thought structure, resulting in scholarly work that is high-quality, easily understood, and engaging for readers.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the effectiveness of the Contextual Teaching and Learning model on students’ learning outcomes in the Islamic Religious Education subject at SMP IT Bustanul ‘Ulum. This study was motivated by students’ low cognitive abilities, particularly at the analytical level, due to instruction that remains dominated by conventional methods. The study employed a quasi-experimental approach with a posttest-only control group design involving two classes: an experimental class and a control class, each consisting of 30 students. The experimental class received instruction using the Contextual Teaching and Learning model, while the control class used conventional methods. The research instrument was a multiple-choice test that had passed validity and reliability tests, with a reliability coefficient of 0.867. Data analysis using the Mann–Whitney test revealed a significance value of 0.000, which is less than 0.05, indicating a significant difference between the two groups. The results demonstrate that the Contextual Teaching and Learning model effectively improves students’ learning outcomes, particularly their analytical skills. This study contributes to the development of more contextual, active, and meaningful learning strategies for Islamic Religious Education.

Abstract

ENGLISH: Implementation of Ubudiyyah Activities to Instill Religious Values in Santri (Students) at Islamic Boarding SchoolObjective: This study aims to describe the implementation of ubudiyah activities among female students at Al-Hikmah Islamic Boarding School in Bandar Lampung and to analyze the factors that support and hinder the internalization of religious values. Method: This study employs a descriptive qualitative approach, utilizing observation, interviews, and documentation. Data were analyzed using an interactive model that included reduction, presentation, and conclusion drawing, with validity reinforced through triangulation. Results: Ubudiyah activities are carried out in a structured manner through the habit of performing obligatory and sunnah worship, such as congregational prayers, tadarus, zikr, and dhuha prayers. Supporting factors include the exemplary behavior of the asatidzah, consistent supervision, and well-organized pesantren management. Obstacles include uneven student motivation and limited worship facilities. Conclusion: Ubudiyah activities play a strategic role in shaping the religious behavior of santri, although their effectiveness is influenced by motivation and the availability of facilities. Contribution: This research contributes to a theoretical and practical review of studies on Islamic education related to religious guidance strategies based on worship habits in Islamic boarding schools, focusing on instilling religious values in santri. Keywords: Ubudiyah activities; Islamic religious values; Students (Santri); Islamic boarding schoolINDONESIAN: Penerapan Kegiatan Ubudiyyah untuk Penanaman Nilai-Nilai Religius Santri di Pondok PesantrenTujuan: Penelitian ini bertujuan mendeskripsikan penerapan kegiatan ubudiyah pada santri putri di Pondok Pesantren Al-Hikmah Bandar Lampung serta menganalisis faktor pendukung dan penghambat internalisasi nilai religius. Metode: Penelitian menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif deskriptif melalui observasi, wawancara, dan dokumentasi. Data dianalisis dengan model interaktif yang meliputi reduksi, penyajian, dan penarikan kesimpulan, dengan validitas diperkuat melalui triangulasi. Hasil: Kegiatan ubudiyah dilaksanakan secara terstruktur melalui pembiasaan ibadah wajib dan sunnah, seperti shalat berjamaah, tadarus, dzikir, dan shalat dhuha. Faktor pendukung mencakup keteladanan asatidzah, pengawasan konsisten, dan manajemen pesantren yang tertata. Hambatan meliputi motivasi santri yang belum merata serta keterbatasan sarana ibadah. Kesimpulan: Kegiatan ubudiyah berperan strategis dalam membentuk perilaku religius santri, meskipun efektivitasnya dipengaruhi oleh motivasi dan fasilitas. Kontribusi: Kontribusi penelitian ini sebagai tinjauan teoritis dan praktis kajian kajian tentang pendidikan Islam terkait strategi pembinaan religius berbasis pembiasaan ibadah di pesantren dalam meenanamkan nilai-nilai religius santri.
