Abstract

The study aims to analyze the polemic of commercialization of modified applications in copyright enforcement through an integrative approach between legal certainty, justice and expediency. The method of research used by the author is the normative juridical method, using secondary data, in the form of primary legal materials such as Law Number 28 of 2014 concerning Copyright and its implementing regulations; secondary legal materials in the form of legal literature, journal articles, research results, legal news and legal opinion articles which are then analyzed deductively. The novelty of this research lies in the assessment of copyright law that has not reflected substantive justice in the face of infringement through the commercialization of modified applications, using the approach of Hans Kelsen's Stufenbau theory and Gustav Radbruch's Integrative theory. The results show that the polemic of copyright enforcement against modified applications is mulltidimensional. On the legal side, the unclear norms in the Copyright Law regarding application modification activities, the weak monitoring and enforcement system, and the lack of technical regulations (PP and Permenkumham) governing digital applications. On the other hand, social, cultural, and economic factors such as low legal awareness, the rampant culture of using modified applications, and the economic inability of the community also exacerbate this illegal commercialization practice. The conclusion is that copyright enforcement of modified applications is not optimal due to the gap between normative regulation and practice. Based on Gustav Radbruch's integrative theory, the solutions offered include: (1) from the aspect of justice, the government needs to change the complaint offense into an ordinary offense for application copyright infringement and issue special regulations in the form of Government Regulations or Permenkumham for the protection of digital applications, coupled with improving the integrity of law enforcement officials; (2) from the aspect of legal certainty, it is important to revise Article 52 of the Copyright Law and strengthen supervision of the distribution of modified applications by e-commerce; and (3) from the aspect of expediency, solutions include public education, the use of open source applications as an alternative, open source application development, more affordable pricing strategies, to inclusive payment systems by official developers.

Abstract

This study investigates the management of extracurricular activities and their contribution to students’ life skills development at MTs Bua, a rural madrasah in Indonesia. Despite limited resources, the school consistently delivers extracurricular programmes by applying the Planning, Organising, Actuating, and Controlling (POAC) management cycle while integrating Islamic moral values. The study aims to analyse how extracurricular activities are managed, identify the life skills developed, and explore challenges in their implementation. Using a qualitative case study design, data were collected through in-depth interviews with the principal, vice principal for curriculum, and activity coaches, supplemented by document analysis. Data were analysed thematically following Miles and Huberman’s interactive model. Findings indicate that extracurricular management follows a structured cycle adapted to resource constraints through participatory planning, efficient role distribution, and regular monitoring. Scouting, sports, and arts foster a broad range of life skills, such as teamwork, leadership, emotional regulation, creativity, and communication, while embedding Islamic moral guidance. Challenges include limited facilities, financial constraints, inconsistent participation, and varying levels of coach expertise; these are addressed through flexible scheduling, resource-sharing, and leadership commitment. The study offers a hybrid management model that combines competency-based and values-based approaches, demonstrating that the POAC framework can be effectively adapted in rural Islamic school contexts. It also provides a new perspective on sustainability, showing that leadership commitment and adaptive strategies can sustain extracurricular programmes without substantial infrastructure. These findings have practical implications for school leaders, educators, and policy-makers in designing and sustaining extracurricular activities that promote both skill development and character formation.

Abstract

The ongoing prevalence of bullying among phase F students, which affects their psychological and learning processes, motivates this research. The purpose of this research is to develop a co-curricular model based on Islamic religious education in the form of additional learning manuals to reduce bullying behavior and foster positive character in students. This research uses the research and development method (Research and Development) with the ADDIE model, which includes the stages of analysis, design, development, implementation, and evaluation. The research subjects are phase F students and Islamic Religious Education teachers, while the research object is in the form of co-curricular guidebook products. Data collection techniques include observation, interviews, questionnaires, and documentation, with qualitative and quantitative descriptive data analysis. The results of the study indicated that bullying practices in schools appeared in physical (hitting) and verbal (mocking and disruptive) forms. The co-curricular handbook products developed have undergone validity and practicality tests, yielding average results of 85.50% (very valid) and 87.50% (efficient), indicating that they are suitable for use. Thus, the development of an Islamic religious education-based co-curricular model can be an effective strategy for suppressing bullying practices while contributing to the formation of students' character and enriching Islamic educational literature.

Abstract

Access to authentic lutes is often a barrier for schools in this region. To address this issue, using Kitoka can be a learning alternative. Kitoka is a musical instrument that can simulate sound and musical playing techniques interactively, making it easier and more engaging for students to learn the kecapi. The use of Kitoka at SMP Negeri 2 Pangsid, Sidrap Regency, is expected to provide a solution for the preservation of local culture by utilizing a new learning model to support the curiosity of school students, serving as a new tool in music art learning with boring teaching methods. This training is intended for students of State Junior High School 2 Pangsid, Sidrap Regency. With the training on using Kitoka thru interactive methods, including demonstration and drill methods, the above problems can be overcome in a more innovative and effective way. Students participate in training activities using the upward and downward picking techniques repeatedly. This plucking technique was then demonstrated to the students so they could practice both techniques. The plucking pattern was taught using the drill method, or by repeatedly playing this technique. Next, the students practiced playing musical notes by performing the song "Ana Ma'Buramali," one of Daeng Masikki's compositions. The students played the song smoothly and well.

Abstract

Polled Bali cattle (PBC) are Bali cattle that do not naturally have horns. This study aims to compare quantitative and qualitative characteristics of PBC found in Bone and Barru Regencies, South Sulawesi. This study was conducted from June 2024 to March 2025. The number of samples aged 12 - 24 months, for quantitative characteristics using 80 heads each in Bone (40 heads) and Barru (40 heads), with a ratio of 20 males and 20 females. The qualitative characteristics used in PBC in Bone (62 heads), and in Barru (39 heads). This study used an independent samples t-test for quantitative traits and descriptive analysis for qualitative traits. The results showed that for quantitative traits, there were significant differences in withers height and body length between males from Bone and Barru, with cattle from Bone having a larger size. However, no significant differences were found in heart girth and all morphometrics for females. For qualitative traits, there are a dominant light brown coat color, black eyelid, white ear hair, white lip edge on the edge, black mouth lash, white legs (stocking) with clear boundaries, black hoof, thick backline, small dewlap size, and polled. Although they have many similarities, there are differences in several qualitative traits such as switch of tail color, body color pattern, tail length, and rump patch color. These results provide useful information regarding the differences in body dimensions of PBC in both regions, which can be the basis for planning more effective breeding and maintenance strategies.
