Abstract

The financial services sector, particularly banking, fundamentally relies on trust as a cornerstone of its business operations. For bank customers, trust is a critical factor influencing their decision to establish and maintain transactional relationships, including the utilization of financial services. This research aims to comprehensively examine how electronic service quality (e-service quality) and customer satisfaction contribute to enhancing customer trust in Islamic Banks. Employing university students enrolled in Islamic higher education institutions in Malang, East Java, Indonesia, as the unit of analysis, this study adopts a quantitative approach. Data were collected from a sample of 97 Islamic bank customers through online questionnaires and analyzed using the Partial Least Squares Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM) technique. Result show that E-Service Quality has a positive and significant effect on Customer Satisfaction with a path coefficient (β) of 0.798. This is the largest coefficient among the relationships studied, indicating a strong positive effect. Furthermore, Customer Satisfaction also shows a positive and significant influence on Customer Trust with a path coefficient (β) of 0.611. Lastly, the direct effect of E-Service Quality on Customer Trust has a path coefficient (β) of 0.199, which is not significant. The research findings indicate that e-service quality exerts the most substantial positive and significant influence on customer satisfaction within the tested research model. However, the analysis reveals that e-service quality does not have a direct significant impact on customer trust. Instead, customer trust is significantly influenced by the level of satisfaction experienced by customers. The crucial implication of this study lies in the affirmation of customer satisfaction as a primary outcome of e-service quality and simultaneously a key determinant in building customer trust, specifically within the context of Islamic bank customers. These results underscore the importance for Islamic banking institutions to prioritize the enhancement of their e-service quality to cultivate high levels of customer satisfaction, which will ultimately strengthen customer trust and long-term loyalty. This research provides empirical contributions to understanding the dynamics of trust in the Islamic banking context and offers strategic implications for bank management.

Abstract

Abstract The high cart abandonment rate of 73% at TikTok Shop indicates a significant gap between consumer interest and transaction realisation which requires identification of factors that influence checkout payment decisions. This study aims to analyse the influence of product reviews, influencers, and cash on delivery services on TikTok Shop checkout payments in Malang City to provide strategic solutions for optimising sales conversion. This research uses a quantitative approach with an explanatory research design, involving 85 respondents of TikTok Shop users in Malang City through snowball sampling techniques based on the Heir et.al formula. Data analysis was carried out using multiple linear regression analysis techniques with the help of SPSS software. The results showed that product reviews have a significant effect on checkout payments, while influencers and cash on delivery services have no significant effect on checkout payments. This study confirms the importance of product reviews as the most determinant factor in e-commerce conversion, especially on a relatively new platform such as TikTok Shop. The managerial implication of this finding is the need for a strategy that focuses on product and service quality to encourage positive reviews as a key driver of checkout payments. Keywords: Product Reviews, Influencers, Cash on delivery Service, Checkout payment, Tiktok Shop, Online Purchasing Behaviour, Malang City

Abstract

Abstract This study aims to determine the influence of convenience, trust, and satisfaction and their impact on consumer loyalty toward Ms. Glow at Zahro Store Reseller in Singosari, Malang Regency. Based on Google Trends data, although the Ms. Glow brand shows a higher search interest compared to other brands, a downward trend occurred at the end of the year. Therefore, an in-depth study of consumer loyalty is necessary to identify the factors influencing this decline in interest. The sampling technique used is a saturated sample obtained from 60 consumers. The data collection method used was a questionnaire distributed directly to Zahro Store customers. The data analysis technique employed in this study is multiple linear regression. The results indicate that convenience, trust, and satisfaction simultaneously influence consumer loyalty. Convenience has a partial effect on consumer loyalty, while trust and satisfaction do not have a partial effect on consumer loyalty. Keywords: Comfort, Trust, Satisfaction, Consumer Loyalty

Abstract

This narrative review explores the implementation, readiness, and impact of HyFlex (Hybrid-Flexible) learning models in higher education, a format increasingly adopted to support student-centered and technologically enriched learning. The objective is to synthesize empirical and conceptual literature to assess the model’s effectiveness and identify persistent challenges. Data was collected from Scopus, ERIC, Web of Science, and Google Scholar, using key phrases such as "HyFlex learning," "implementation challenges," and "student engagement in hybrid-flexible classrooms." Inclusion criteria focused on peer-reviewed studies published within the last five years. The review finds that successful HyFlex implementation depends on robust digital infrastructure, faculty adaptability, and targeted instructional strategies that support both in-person and online learners. Studies demonstrate increased student satisfaction, participation, and academic performance when these conditions are met. However, systemic issues such as unequal access to digital tools, limited institutional support, and insufficient policy frameworks remain significant barriers. Literature consistently suggests that faculty training, real-time feedback integration, and supportive policies are essential to optimizing the model’s impact. The study concludes that while HyFlex is a promising innovation, its success requires coordinated structural, technological, and pedagogical interventions. This paper advocates for stronger institutional and governmental policies, cross-unit collaboration, and ongoing research into student experience and faculty development to enhance the efficacy and equity of HyFlex learning environments.
