Abstract

Purpose: This study aimed to examine the influence of education level, competence, and work environment on the performance of Community Health Centre (Puskesmas) health workers in Karimun Regency, with work motivation analyzed as an intervening variable. Research Methodology: A quantitative approach was used with 139 health workers selected through the Slovin formula from a population of 631 individuals. Primary data were collected using questionnaires, supported by observations and interviews, while secondary data were obtained from official records. Partial Least Squares (PLS) analysis was employed with SmartPLS to test validity, reliability, structural relationships, and mediation effects. Results: The findings indicate that education level and work environment significantly influence both motivation and performance, while competence shows no significant direct effect on either motivation or performance. Motivation significantly enhances performance. Mediation testing revealed that motivation did not mediate the effect of education level and competence on performance but partially mediated the influence of the work environment on performance. Conclusions: The study concludes that while higher education and better work environments improve motivation and performance, competence development programs remain insufficient and have not significantly impacted the outcomes. Creating supportive work environments and fulfilling health workers’ basic needs are crucial for sustaining performance. Limitations: This study was limited to one district and relied on self-reported measures, which may affect generalizability and accuracy. Contribution: This study contributes to public sector human resource management by demonstrating the mediating role of motivation and highlighting the importance of education and workplace conditions in strengthening health workers’ performance.

Abstract

This study investigates the role of Shariah investment in Indonesia's inclusive growth. Shariah investment is measured in terms of Shariah stocks and sukuk. As determinants of inclusive growth, the study also includes several control variables adopted from separate literature, including the effect of COVID-19. In contrast to previous research, testing is conducted using a variety of inclusive growth metrics. Using principal component analysis (PCA) to compute the composite index of inclusive growth and time series regression models with monthly data at the national level from 2011 to 2022, this study finds three main conclusions. Evidence shows that Shariah investment contributes to inclusive growth in Indonesia, but the effects vary. Shariah stocks significantly affect poverty and unemployment, whereas Sukuk affects poverty and inequality. Both contributed to improving the Human Development Index (HDI) and inclusive growth. This study also revealed that COVID-19 was instrumental in reducing Indonesia's inclusive growth performance. This study complements prior empirical research on inclusive growth issues in Indonesia by examining the role of Islamic economics and finance. This research contributes to future policy initiatives to strengthen Indonesia's inclusive growth.JEL Classification: D24, O14, O4How to Cite:Indra & Ibrahim, M. Y. (2023). Abstract

This research addresses a specific issue within halal marketing, emphasizing its novelty. Despite widespread recognition in marketing literature of the roles played by various halal components and strategies in influencing consumer purchase intentions, there is a distinct research gap in the lack of studies focusing on specific categories. This study aims to fill that gap by examining the relationship between halal awareness, certification, and other marketing elements in shaping the halal purchase intentions of Mixue consumers in Indonesia. Structural equation model analysis of data from 156 Mixue consumers revealed positive correlations between halal awareness, certification, and brand with purchase intentions, while food quality and promotion showed negative and non-significant relationships. Theoretically, the research strives to advance a conceptual model of halal purchase intentions by integrating halal components with marketing elements, contributing to marketing literature with a specific focus on Mixue and its consumers in Indonesia. The practical implications involve a deeper understanding of factors influencing halal product purchase intentions, aiding marketing decision-making and business strategies in this rapidly growing market.

Abstract

Indonesia Law No. 33 of 2014 concerning Halal Assurance requires that by 2019 halal certification should be effectively implemented for food and beverage products, as well as service products related to both. Out of the 1.6 million micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs), only 10 percent have been halal certified. This study aims to analyze the factors that influence the perceptions of culinary business owners regarding intention to register for halal certificates. Theory of Planned Behavior will be modified and implemented in preparing the frameworks of the dependent-independent variables. Using partial least square method, 200 sample of culinary producers -owners and managers- in Bogor were studied. Intention of producers is found to be significantly influenced by trust. Trust is also found to be sensitive to functional factor and subjective norm. Trust is also found to be determining attitude, together with functional factor and perceived behavioral norms. Trust is also significant in mediating the effect of perceived behavioral norms to intention, and also in mediating the effect of subjective norm to intention. The population of this study is the MSMEs culinary producers in Great Bogor Area, West Java, Indonesia. Only the respective owners and managers of the responding businesses were the main respondent. Similar research should be done for other types of halal product in order to generalize the results. This research modify TPB in setting the framework of determinants for halal certification intention. Variables added to the original TPB framework are trust and functional factor. This result concludes that trust is crucial in the effort to increase the number of halal certified products in Bogor. The halal certification authorities would have basis to review their policies, procedures, and technical guidelines for halal certification process. This study could be extended in terms of object and other potential determinant variables. Literatures related to halal certification has limited exposure to producers’ motivation for halal certification

Abstract

Penelitian ini diharapkan dapat menghasilkan Enterprise Architecture (EA) Layanan Pengurusan Sertifikat Tanah yang Terintegrasi menggunakan framework TOGAF ADM yang dapat menguraikan proses bisnis dan kebutuhan sistem dalam rangka pencapaian visi dan misi yang akan diwujudkan melalui perancangan arsitektur bisnis, sistem informasi dan teknologi informasi pada Kantor Pertanahan ABC.AbstractIn order to realize the vision and mission of the ABC Land Office in spatial planning and land management that is trusted to serve the community, it is necessary to be able to understand the problems faced in order to achieve its goals. Improving the quality of public services and providing ease of service to the community is an innovation that is continuously carried out by the Land Office. One of the problems faced is how to improve services by providing accuracy and timeliness in managing certificates. The lack of public understanding regarding the procedures for administering certificates independently is one of the obstacles faced in certificate services. Responding to these problems, it is necessary to understand the need to build a system architecture design and information technology so that the ABC Land Office can realize reliable land management in serving the community. This research is expected to produce an Enterprise Architecture (EA) Integrated Land Certificate Management Service using the TOGAF ADM framework which can describe business processes and system requirements in order to achieve the vision and mission that will be realized through the design of business architecture, information systems and information technology at the Land Office ABC.
