Abstract

Limited forage for livestock during the dry season has an impact on low livestock productivity, so a source of feed other than grass is needed as an effort to utilize local resources. The purpose of research is voluntary feed intake level and organik matter digestibility adult female goat given by 3 different feed.  It was carried out on experimental farm of Hasanuddin University for 3 months. A total of six a head of adult male goats aged around 1.5 years with preliminary weights 11-15 kg were used and place at individual pen of 100 x 50 x 100 cm with 80 cm above ground level. This research was designed using RBSL with 3 treatments and it was used 2 heads of goat replication. The feed treatment covered 3 kinds of leaves, namely mango (R1), jackfruit (R2), and banana (R3). The voluntary feed intake (kg/day) was measured based on difference between given and remained feed weights.  The measurement of feed digestibility (%) using Total Collecting Method, covering total of feed comsumption and total of goat faeces (24 hours) separeted with urine. The research result showed that the voluntary feed intake level R1 leaves was heigher than R2 and R3 leaves, whereas the level of crude fiber digestibility and crude fat of R1 higher than  R2  and R3, but digestibility of crude protein R3 higher than R1 dan R2.

Abstract

The beginning of Indonesia’s independence period was marked by the enthusiasm of the ulama in reformulating Islamic laws after previously Islamic law had been “castrated” by the Dutch. In this paper, the author wants to show the efforts of the Indonesian ulama and government in formulating Islamic law (especially family) to be used as a general benchmark for all Religious Courts in the archipelago. Of course, their efforts to formulate Islamic law are not as easy as turning the palm of their hand, because there are contradictions and differences of opinion. However, the emergence of the 1974 Marriage Law, and then its refinement with the KHI (Compilation of Islamic Law) became a success in itself for the Indonesian government and ulama’ to unite their voices on the issue of Marriage, Endowments and Inheritance. On the other hand, the existence of efforts to renew the KHI through the CLD (Counter Legal Draft)-KHI shows that some groups are dissatisfied with the KHI formulation. However, their efforts were in vain because they were considered to be contrary to Islamic teachings and were finally recorded by the Ministry of Religion.

Abstract

Noise pollution can be categorized as a danger in silence. In school, noise pollution inhibits the focus of learning, impairs learning and cognitive development, for example, students' skills to think and understand both oral and written comprehension may be hampered by noise. Many schools in Malaysia experience excessive noise pollution as their locations are very near busy roads. This will be one factor that hinders the implementation of the education system in producing holistic students in order to prepare for the 4IR era. Knowing the importance of this problem, a group of researchers from UTM GREENPrompt, School of Civil Engineering, Universiti Teknologi Malaysia together with industry partners have built a special class called 'Serene Classroom' through a community project to overcome this problem. A classroom on the second floor of Sekolah Kebangsaan Kampong Pasir, Johor Bahru that has traffic noise exposure from the Skudai-Johor Bahru highway was selected for this purpose. The community project is in collaboration with the Johor State Education Department, Ministry of Education Malaysia and industrial partners, such as Vibrant Echo Company, Sanjung Sempurna Sdn. Bhd. and DZAZ Collection. The implementation of the project, the lessons learned from the project and challenges for the implementation are discussed. Technically, Serene classrooms significantly reduce the level of noise pollution for more conducive learning and have received better perceptions from students and teachers. Therefore, hopefully more ‘Serene Classroom’ community projects can be implemented in schools, especially in urban areas affected by high noise levels as a way to reduce the renovation costs on schools.

Abstract

Proficiency in speaking skills (maharah kalām) is crucial for Arabic language acquisition, yet conventional, teacher-centered approaches often provide limited opportunities for contextual communication. This study develops and evaluates an immersive Virtual Reality (VR) learning medium using the Delightex platform to enhance students’ Arabic speaking performance. Employing an R&D design with the ADDIE model, participants were 30 seventh-grade female students at a modern Islamic boarding school. Data were collected via observations and semi-structured interviews, speaking tests (pre–post), and questionnaires, and analyzed using mixed methods. Results indicate substantial improvement: the average score increased from 66.1 (pre-test) to 85.5 (post-test), with 28 of 30 students (98%) meeting the minimum mastery criterion KKM. The normalized gain (N-Gain) attained a value of 0.57, classified as medium-high. Qualitative findings show higher engagement, reduced speaking anxiety, better contextual vocabulary use, and increased confidence during avatar-based dialogues in a virtual library scenario. The findings indicated that Delightex-VR media is highly efficient in enhancing maharah kalām and aids in the advancement of technology-driven Arabic language learning methods in Islamic boarding schools.

Abstract

The Betel nut is a plantation commodity with significant economic potential, particularly as an export product. However, marketing activities among farmers and traders still face obstacles, such as limited access to price information, less than optimal promotions, and a narrow distribution network. This study aims to design and develop a web-based betel nut marketing information system that can support the promotion and transaction process. The system development method used refers to the System Development Life Cycle (SDLC) model, namely the waterfall, starting from user needs analysis, system design, implementation, and testing. This system was created using the PHP programming language with a MySQL database, and is equipped with key features such as product data management, price recording, information publication and communication media between farmers and traders, as well as a payment gateway feature. Testing results using the black box testing approach showed that the system can function according to the design. With this information system, it is expected that betel nut marketing will be more structured, market access will be wider, and farmers and traders will obtain a more competitive selling price.

Abstract

Evaluation of the learning process (through non-test) is often ignored by madrasah teachers in Mataram, at least getting less attention than learning outcomes (tests) as it is known that education is oriented to results and the process. Evaluation of learning outcomes and learning processes must be carried out in a balanced and simultaneous manner. Non-test evaluation tools are an essential part that must be considered by teachers, in addition, to test evaluation tools. If the teacher does not develop a non-test evaluation, it will impact the acquisition of student learning outcomes that do not describe the actual ability of a subject. Based on this consideration, training in the preparation of non-test evaluation tools is urgently needed so that teachers can carry out comprehensive evaluations using test and non-test tools. This service activity is in the form of training in preparing non-test evaluation tools in the madrasa environment. The method of implementing this activity follows the stages of preparation, observation of partner madrasas, training in the preparation of non-test evaluation tools, and follow-up. The activity results indicate that all stages of the activity went well and produced the product as determined. In addition, there has been an increase in participants' understanding and skills in preparing non-test evaluation instruments. It is evidenced by the average posttest score (75.00) is better than the pretest (32.12). This positive change is the answer to teacher problems in developing learning evaluations in madrasas.
