Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk merancang dan membangun aplikasi manajemen laundry berbasis web dengan menerapkan algoritma Finite State Machine (FSM) sebagai pengendali alur status transaksi pada Nyubamu Laundry. Permasalahan utama yang dihadapi adalah pengelolaan operasional yang masih dilakukan secara manual sehingga menyebabkan ketidakteraturan alur status, kesalahan pencatatan, dan keterlambatan informasi. Kebaruan penelitian ini terletak pada penerapan FSM sebagai mekanisme kontrol logika status transaksi yang diformalkan dan terintegrasi ke dalam sistem. Evaluasi sistem dilakukan secara kuantitatif menggunakan pengujian berbasis skenario untuk mengukur kinerja FSM. Hasil evaluasi menunjukkan validitas transisi status sebesar 97,5%, akurasi status akhir sebesar 96%, dan tingkat keberhasilan proses sebesar 95%. Hasil tersebut menunjukkan bahwa penerapan FSM efektif dalam meningkatkan konsistensi dan keandalan sistem manajemen laundry berbasis web.

Abstract

Arabic vocabulary (mufrodat) is a foundational element in mastering the Arabic language, especially for elementary students in Islamic education. However, conventional teaching methods and limited media often hinder student engagement and vocabulary retention. This study aimed to evaluate the effectiveness of Virtual Tour–based interactive media in improving students’ Arabic vocabulary mastery. The research employed a quasi-experimental one-group pretest-posttest design involving 28 fifth-grade students at an Integrated Islamic Elementary School in Yogyakarta. Research instruments included classroom observations, teacher interviews, a student motivation questionnaire (10 valid and reliable items), and a vocabulary test (15 valid and reliable items). The results indicated an increase in mean scores from 48.18 to 72.39. The Wilcoxon signed-rank test yielded Z = −3.888 with p < 0.001, indicating a statistically significant improvement. The mean N-Gain score was 0.48, classified as a moderate improvement.  All questionnaire items scored above 4.0 on a five-point Likert scale, with an overall mean of 4.37, categorized as very good. These findings suggest that Virtual Tour media can effectively enhance motivation, interaction, and contextual vocabulary acquisition. The study contributes to the development of digital media in Arabic language education and offers an innovative alternative for Arabic teachers at the elementary level.

Abstract

Perkembangan teknologi yang pesat mendorong meningkatnya intensitas persaingan bisnis, termasuk pada sektor Usaha Mikro, Kecil, dan Menengah (UMKM) di Kecamatan Sekernan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis pengaruh digital promotion dan inovasi produk terhadap pendapatan UMKM, baik secara parsial maupun simultan. Metode penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif, dengan pengumpulan data primer melalui kuesioner serta data sekunder dari dokumen resmi. Seluruh populasi yang terdiri dari 9267 UMKM dijadikan sampel menggunakan Teknik probability sampling dengan metode stratified random sampling dengan 100 responden. Analisis data dilakukan dengan bantuan software SPSS, mencakup uji validitas dan reliabilitas untuk menguji instrumen, uji asumsi klasik (normalitas, multikolinearitas, dan heteroskedastisitas) untuk memenuhi syarat regresi linier berganda, serta uji t, uji F, dan adjusted R Square untuk menguji hipotesis. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa digital promotion berpengaruh positif dan signifikan terhadap pendapatan UMKM, dan inovasi produk berpengaruh positif signifikan. Secara simultan, kedua variabel berpengaruh positif signifikan dengan nilai adjusted R Square sebesar 0,480 yang berarti 48% berpengaruh terhadap pendapatan UMKM dapat dijelaskan oleh digital promotion dan inovasi produk, sedangkan sisanya dipengaruhi oleh faktor lain di luar model. Temuan ini merekomendasikan pemanfaatan digital promotion dan inovasi produk sebagai strategi pemasaran dan teknik inovasi agar bias bertahan di pasar yang dinamis agar lebih efektif dalam meningkatkan daya saing dan meningkatkan pendapatan UMKM.

Abstract

Introduction: The lack of standarized assessment instruments aligned with the CEFR remains a significant challenge in evaluating student’s Arabic reading proficiency within the Indonesian educational context. In particular, there is a critical need for instruments that bridge local curricula with the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR). Research Objectives: This study aims to develop valid and reliable Arabic reading skills test items based on the CEFR proficiency descriptors. Methodology: To address this gap, this research employed a Research and Development approach using the 4D model, which consists of define, design, develop, and disseminate stages. However, the implementation of this study was limited to the first three stages: defining needs, designing the test blueprint, and developing test items.  The participants of this study were 259 fifth-grade students of Pondok Modern Darussalam Gontor Putri 1, selected using the Slovin formula. The initial blueprint comprised 119 test items distributed across six CEFR proficiency levels, ranging from A1 to C2. The test items were constructed in various formats, including multiple-choice, true-false, and matching questions. To ensure the quality of the instrument, expert validation and limited field trials were conducted. The data obtained were analyzed to determine content validity, empirical validity, reliability, item difficulty level, and discrimination power. Results: The results revealed that 72 items met the validity criteria and were suitable for use. The reliability analysis showed a coefficient of 0.99, indicating a very high level of reliability. Most of the valid items were categorized as easy, although several items required revision to improve their discrimination power and better differentiate between high- and low-performing students. Unique Contribution: This study contributes practically by providing Arabic language teachers in Indonesia with a standardized, CEFR-based assessment tool that can support accurate measurement of student’s reading competencies and enhance the effectiveness of Arabic reading instruction. Conclusion: Overall, the findings demonstrate thet the developed instrument is valid, reliable, and appropiate for assessing student’s reading profiency based on CEFR standards. Recommendations: Further research is recommended to implement the disseminate stage and expand the use of this instrument in broader contexts.

Abstract

This study aims to provide an efficient and accurate machine-learning approach for modelling and forecasting the real gross domestic production (GDP) in the context of Pakistan. The study forecasts Pakistan's GDP growth rate using different forecasting models, such as naïve, seasonal naïve (SNaive), smoothing, and k-nearest neighbors (k-NN). Machine learning algorithms provide additional advice for data-driven decision-making. According to the findings, the k-NN-based forecasting gives minimum mean absolute percentage error (MAPE), root mean square error (RMSE), and mean absolute error (MAE) compared to the other three models. Economic policymakers can use accurate models to measure significant economic activity and formulate plans. The results indicate that the model produced accurate projections of future GDP levels for Pakistan.

Abstract

This research explored the intersection between cultural heritage and technological progress in revitalizing and rejuvenating prophetic traditions. The research aimed to bridge the gap between traditional practices and contemporary challenges by utilizing the profusion of prophetic traditions, especially in Islamic teachings. Research questions included how technology can bridge the gap between traditional prophetic teachings and modern cultural contexts, what challenges and opportunities arise from this integration, and how revitalizing prophetic traditions through technology can contribute to cultural preservation and augmentation. Through a multidisciplinary approach with insights from cultural studies, religious studies, and technology, this research contributed to the ongoing discourse on preserving and revitalizing cultural heritage in the digital era. Research findings revealed that although technology offered new opportunities to revitalize prophetic traditions, such as through digital archives and social media, there were also challenges, including authenticity and cultural adaptation issues.

Abstract

Mastering Arabic vocabulary is crucial for supporting students' language proficiency, especially in Islamic boarding schools where Arabic serves both religious and daily communication purposes. However, vocabulary acquisition remains challenging due to conventional methods that rely on rote memorization and lack engaging media. While previous studies have explored audiovisual-based PBL separately, few have integrated both specifically for Arabic vocabulary in pesantren contexts. This study aims to develop an effective audiovisual-based PBL to enhance vocabulary mastery. Employing Research and Development (R&D) with the 4D model (Define, Design, Develop, Disseminate), this research included needs analysis, media design, expert validation, and effectiveness testing through pre-test and post-test. Data analysis involved normality tests, homogeneity tests, and paired sample t-tests to measure effectiveness. Results show that the developed media is valid and feasible according to experts and significantly improves students’ vocabulary mastery, with a mean difference = -28.729, t = -17.170, and Sig. (2-tailed) = 0.000 < 0.05, indicating a significant difference between pre-test and post-test scores. This research demonstrates that the application of audiovisual media in conjunction with PBL can produce more meaningful learning, improve retention, and enhance students' critical thinking skills. These findings provide practical contributions in the form of new strategic options for Arabic language teachers and reinforce the urgency of implementing audiovisual-based PBL in modern education.

Abstract

This research aims to analyze student problems in learning Arabic in Arabic matriculation class at Darussalam Gontor University, Siman Campus in the 2022-2023 academic year. The result of this research is that two basic problems were founded in student’s problems in learning Arabic in the matriculation class, are linguistic problems such as a) lack of student understanding of the lessons that have been delivered by the teacher, b) lack of student’s writing on Arabic, c) lack of student’s memorization on Arabic vocabulary. And non-linguistic problems such: as a) lack of student motivation in learning Arabic, b) The decrease in Arabic-language textbooks among students, etc. Based on the results of the study, the researcher suggests that the parties involved with students, especially Arabic language teachers, pay attention to the seriousness of student learning and give them continuous motivation in learning Arabic so that they are motivated to continue learning Arabic and able to communicate with it in their daily lives. This research naturally made a high contribution to spreading the knowledge that there are problems in learning Arabic from the student’s side that are not only linguistic but also non-linguistic.المستخلص: يهدف هذا البحث إلى تحليل مشكلات الطلاب في تعلم اللغة العربية في الفصل التحضيري بجامعة دار السلام، الحرم سيمان، في العام الدراسي 2022-2023. وتوصلت نتيجة هذا البحث إلى وجود مشكلتين أساسيتين في مشكلات الطلاب في تعلم اللغة العربية في هذا الفصل، وهما: المشكلات اللغوية مثل: (أ) قلة فهم الطلاب للدروس التي قدمها المعلم، (ب) نقصان قدرة الطلاب في الكتابة العربية ، (ج) قلة حفظ الطلاب لمفردات العربية. والمشكلات غير اللغوية مثل: (أ) قلة دافعية الطلاب في تعلم اللغة العربية، (ب) نقصان الكتب المقررة باللغة العربية لدي الطلاب، وغيرها. استنادًا إلى نتائج البحث، يقترح الباحث للأطراف المعنية بالطلاب، وخاصة معلمي اللغة العربية، ينبغي أن يولوا اهتمامًا لجدية تعلم الطلاب وأن يقدموا لهم دافعية مستمرة في تعلم اللغة العربية حتى يكون لديهم النشاط لمواصلة تعلم اللغة العربية والقدرة على التواصل بها في حياتهم اليومية. وأسهمت هذه الدراسة بشكل طبيعي في نشر المعرفة بأن هناك مشكلات في تعلم اللغة العربية من جانب الطلاب ليست مشكلات لغوية فحسب، بل إنما مشكلات غير لغوية أيضًا.

Abstract

Children of Indonesian migrant workers in Penang Island, Malaysia face some challenges in accessing decent and sustainable education. This study aims to analyze efforts to improve basic competencies as a strategy to develop their scientific capacity. This study focuses on two main aspects in improving educational character, such as religious and national knowledge. Improving religious competencies is through learning Islamic values and worship practices. This aims to form a strong religious character in a multicultural environment. Furthermore, efforts to improve national competencies are implemented through educational history, nationalist values, and introduction to Indonesian culture so that children continue to have a sense of love for their homeland. The results refer to a systematic educational approach based on the needs of migrant worker children so that they can significantly improve their basic competencies. Therefore, education for migrant worker children does not only function as a means of transferring knowledge but as a strategy to strengthen their identity, social integration, and future opportunities either nationally and internationally.

Abstract

Usaha Mikro, Kecil, dan Menengah (UMKM) memiliki peran strategis dalam pertumbuhan ekonomi daerah, namun masih menghadapi keterbatasan dalam membangun identitas visual yang profesional, khususnya dalam pembuatan logo usaha. Biaya desain profesional yang relatif tinggi menjadi kendala bagi sebagian pelaku UMKM. Perkembangan teknologi Artificial Intelligence (AI), khususnya Text-to-Image AI, menawarkan solusi alternatif yang cepat, terjangkau, dan kreatif dalam menghasilkan desain visual berbasis deskripsi teks. Kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini bertujuan meningkatkan pemahaman dan keterampilan pelaku UMKM di Kota Jambi dalam memanfaatkan teknologi Text-to-Image AI untuk pembuatan logo usaha. Metode pelaksanaan menggunakan pendekatan partisipatif melalui tahapan pre-test, penyampaian materi, demonstrasi, praktik langsung, dan post-test. Evaluasi dilakukan menggunakan skala Likert 1–5 terhadap 17 peserta. Hasil menunjukkan peningkatan rata-rata pemahaman dari 2,47 pada pre-test menjadi 4,38 pada post-test. Peningkatan signifikan terjadi pada indikator kemampuan menyusun prompt dan kepercayaan diri menggunakan logo berbasis AI. Kegiatan ini menunjukkan bahwa pelatihan berbasis praktik AI efektif dalam meningkatkan kapasitas branding digital UMKM secara mandiri dan berkelanjutan.
