Abstract

Increased competitive pressure, accelerated technological change, and changes in demographic structure. Growing awareness and recognition of the increasingly important role of human resources in an organization. The aim of this research is to determine the effect of role conflict and work stress on turnover among nurses at Hasanuddin Damrah Manna Hospital, South Bengkulu Regency. The type of research used is quantitative. The data analysis methods used are multiple linear regression, coefficient of determination test, classical assumptions, and hypothesis testing. The results of multiple linear regression have the equation Y= 27.384-0.439 X1+0.156 X2+2.292 because the direction of the regression is positive, which means that if role conflict and work stress increase, turnover intentions will also increase. Role conflict is more influential than work stress, there is turnover intention because the role conflict regression value is -0.439 which is greater than the work stress regression value. Role conflict has a negative effect on turnover instruction, this is proven by the results of the t test showing t count > t table (-5.903 > 1.976) and a significance value of 0.000 < 0.05 meaning Ha is accepted and Ho is rejected. Job stress has a positive effect on turnover, this is proven by the results of the t test showing tcount > ttable (3.128 > 1.976) with a significant value of 0.000 < 0.05, meaning that H0 is rejected and Ha is accepted. Role conflict and work stress have a joint and significant effect on turnover among nurses at Hasanuddin Damrah Manna Hospital, South Bengkulu Regency, this is proven by the f test which shows the value of Fcount > Ftable (19.697 > 3.91) with a significance value of 0.000.

Abstract

The phenomenon of quiet quitting is increasingly observed among millennial employees, driven by shifting values, expectations, and the pursuit of work-life balance. This study analyzes the determinants of quiet quitting, its impact on the performance of millennial employees in the government and private sectors in Bengkulu Province, and compares the two sectors. Using a quantitative approach, questionnaires were distributed to 250 non-managerial employees, and data were analyzed using PLS-SEM and Multi-Group Analysis (MGA). All measurement instruments met validity and reliability criteria. The findings show that job demands significantly reduce employee engagement and increase quiet quitting, while job resources significantly enhance engagement and performance but do not directly influence quiet quitting. Employee engagement was found to improve performance and reduce quiet quitting, whereas quiet quitting negatively affected performance. A significant chain mediation effect was identified through employee engagement and quiet quitting in the relationship between job demands, job resources, and performance. MGA results indicated no significant differences between the government and private sectors. The study highlights the importance of managing job demands and strengthening job resources through proactive HR practices, Leadership support, balanced workloads, and career development to minimize quiet quitting and sustain organizational performance.

Abstract

The limited utilization of residential yards has become a challenge for households in achieving environmental greening and food security. Many families leave their yards unused, resulting in lost opportunities for ecological and economic benefits. This community service program was designed to address the issue by encouraging residents to cultivate productive plants in their yards. The intervention involved distributing chili and eggplant seedlings, providing training on planting techniques, and conducting continuous monitoring of plant growth. Implementation steps included initial surveys of yard conditions, coordination with neighborhood leaders to determine seed requirements, seed distribution to households, training sessions on cultivation and maintenance, and follow-up observations to evaluate progress. The outcomes showed that residents began to use vacant land more effectively, creating greener and healthier surroundings. In addition, households gained supplementary food sources from their own harvests, contributing to family food security. This program demonstrates that simple interventions such as seed distribution and mentoring can foster sustainable environmental practices, strengthen community resilience, and support the achievement of Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), particularly Goal 2 (Zero Hunger) and Goal 11 (Sustainable Cities and Communities).
