Abstract

This study aims to analyze the effect of emotional intelligence, spiritual intelligence on job satisfaction through employee performance as an intervening variable. The sample in this study amounted to 92 employees. The sampling technique uses probability sampling with the type proportionate random sampling, which is a technique of taking samples of members of the population that is carried out proportionally. This research variable is derived from emotional intelligence, spiritual intelligence, employee performance, and job satisfaction. Analysis of the data used is descriptive percentage analysis, multiple linear regression analysis, coefficient of determination using SPSS 16, and path analysis. The results showed that partially emotional intelligence and spiritual intelligence had a positive and significant effect on employee performance, and had a positive and significant effect on job satisfaction. Employee performance has a positive and significant effect on job satisfaction. Employee performance is able to mediate the relationship of emotional intelligence and spiritual intelligence to job satisfaction. This research is expected to be included that is for companies to conduct training to improve emotional intelligence and spiritual intelligence, given the importance of these two variables in influencing the level of performance and employee job satisfaction.

Abstract

Pembelajaran tematik didesain sedemikian rupa supaya dapat meningkatkan kualitas belajar. Namun kenyataan di lapangan masih banyak hambatan belajar yang siswa alami. Dalam pembelajaran Tema 4 Sub Tema 1 terdapat beberapa kesulitan yang dialami siswa disebabkan karena penguasaan konsep siswa yang terbatas. Kesulitan tersebut merupakan hambatan belajar epistimologis. Tujuan penelitian ini untuk mengidentifikasi kesulitan siswa, mengembakan desain didaktis, mengetahui respon guru terhadap kelayakan desain didaktis, dan mengetahui keterbacaan bahan ajar. Metode yang digunakan pada penelitian ini adalah metode kualitatif dengan desain DDR. Teknik pengumpulan datanya menggunakan tes, kuesioner, dan wawancara. Hasil dari penelitian ini diantaranya terdapat sepuluh hambatan belajar yang dialami siswa dan dijadikan acuan untuk mengembangkan desain didaktis, dalam mengembangkan desain didaktis digunakan model multiliterasi yang dilengkapi dengan antisipasi didaktis pedagogis, dan lembar kerja siswa yang telah divalidasi oleh guru.

Abstract

Learning science must make the nature of science a guide. Pouring the content of the nature of science is not only the teacher's responsibility in learning, but also the nature of science must be included in the textbooks. There are three aspects/components of the nature of science that must fit in book's text readers, namely: (1) Products; (2) Process; and (3) Attitude. This research method uses descriptive research with content analysis. With the object of study, the thematic textbook document for the 2013 Class V Curriculum Integrated, Theme 6 is Heat and Its Transfer. The results showed that the nature of science was very well contained in the textbook, with a percentage of 100% on the aspects/components of Products and Processes and 55.5% on the parts elements factors characteristics/components of Attitude.

Abstract

Artisanal and small-scale gold mining (ASGM) activities often pollute soil, water, and air, thereby achieving widespread proliferation, and contaminating the surrounding biota including plants. Mercury contamination on agricultural land around ASGM areas has been widely reported. This study aims to determine the total mercury contamination in plants and soil around active ASGM sites in Sukabumi Regency, Indonesia, namely, Waluran, Lengkong, and Ciemas Districts. Total mercury (Hg) content was measured from 27 plant samples (including cassava [Manihot utilisima], rice [Oryza sativa], and papaya [Carica papaya]), 7 rhizosphere soil samples, and 7 non-rhizosphere soil samples. Data were analyzed using Kruskal–Wallis test. Results showed no significant difference in total mercury concentrations among locations or plant parts, between rhizosphere and non-rhizosphere soils (p > 0.05), and among cassava plant parts, papaya, and rice. The highest mercury level was found in cassava (0.33–43.27 ppm). Mercury contamination in rice and papaya was relatively low at 0.03–1.22 and 0.06–5.11 ppm, respectively. According to the Regulation of the Head of BPOM of the Republic of Indonesia Number 23 of 2017 concerning the Maximum Limit of Heavy Metal Contamination in Processed Food, 0.03 ppm is the maximum limit of mercury contamination in fruits, vegetables, and cereals. Therefore, all plant samples around the ASGM sites have exceeded the maximum mercury contamination and thus are not suitable for consumption.

Abstract

Long-term lead (Pb) exposure can affect human health. Used battery recycling is a source of Pb emission, and the smoke from the facility carries Pb particles that accumulate in the soil. This study aimed to determine the concentration of accumulated Pb in the soil around Kadu Manis Battery Recycling Industrial Estate, Tangerang Regency, Banten Province, Indonesia in 2018. Soil samples were collected by employing a purposive strategy in four directions from the hot spot at a 0–7.5 km radius. Pb content in the soil was analyzed using a modified version of the official method from American Public Health Association number 3030-H in 2012 and work instructions for metal 01 in 2014. Results showed that the Pb concentration in the soil around this site was below the threshold with an average value of 94.43 mg/kg dry weight and a range of 16.56–279.42 mg/kg dry weight. The soil closest to the facility had the highest Pb concentration. These findings indicated that the management of emission from used battery recycling site must be improved.

Abstract

Filsafat bahasa terus berkembang dan selalu menjadi landasan dalam kehidupan manusia dan selalu dan pembahasannya mengenai bahasa dan perkembangan ilmu pengetahuan. Perkembangan ilmu filsafat sangat memberikan pengaruh atau kontribusi yang signifikan kepada berbagai bidang ilmu lainnya, termasuk perkembangan linguistik terapan dalam dunia pendidikan. Tujuan penelitian ini untuk mendeskripsikan peranan filsafat bahasa terhadap perkembangan linguistik terapan dalam dunia pendidikan. Metode penelitian yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah metode studi pustaka. Adapun hasil dari penelitian ini berdasarkan hasil analisis beberapa jurnal dan bahan pustaka yang telah dikumpulkan dapat disimpulkan bahwa dalam linguistik terapan, ditemukan bahwa teori-teori filsafat dapat dipadukan dengan teori-teori pemerolehan bahasa, baik berdasarkan pandangan behaviorisme dan kognitivisme, serta teori sosiolinguistik, semantik, pragmatik, dan sintaksis. Dengan demikian dapat kita lihat bahwa peranan filsafat sangat positif terhadap perkembangan linguistik terapan di dalam dunia pendidikan baik secara praktik maupun teori.

Abstract

Artikel ini mengumpulkan informasi mengenai hubungan antara matematika dan   filsafat. Jenis penelitian yang digunakan adalah deskriptif dan studi literatur (library research). Dalam artikel ini ditemukan bahwa matematika dan filsafat mempunyai hubungan yang erat sejak awal, matematika dan filsafat membahas pada akal dan rasional, keduanya dari awal saling mempengaruhi dan mendorong saling berkembang. Matematika dan filsafat ilmu sama–sama membahas mengenai pengetahuan yang didasarkan pada akal dan rasional. Matematika dan filsafat sebagai pengetahuan berjalan bersama baik di awal kelahirannya maupun dalam perkembangan keduanya, meskipun terkadang keduanya tampak lebih baik dari satu sama lain dalam aspek tertentu. Hubungan matematika dengan filsafat ilmu merupakan hubungan yang saling berkesinambungan satu sama lain.

Abstract

The concept of axiology in the philosophy of science, namely the implementation of knowledge that has been learned from mathematics, turns out to have enormous benefits for everyone, especially in efforts to solve cases related to real life which are applied in the form of mathematical story problems through the PBL model. The purpose of this study was to prove: (1) students' ability to solve word problems based on learning styles; (2) students' ability to solve word problems between those implementing the conventional model and the PBL model; (3) the effect of interaction between learning models and learning styles on students' ability to solve word problems. This research is based on quantitative with experimental type. This experiment was conducted by the same teacher on a system of three variable linear equations, 90 minute sessions twice a week for three weeks. Class X-1 and class X-3 as research samples. The data collection method used a 5-item essay test and a learning style questionnaire. Hypothesis testing is processed using Two-Way Anova. The results showed (1) there was a very significant difference in the ability to solve word problems based on students' learning styles (visual, auditory, and kinesthetic); 2) there is a significant difference in the ability to solve word problems between those who apply the conventional model and the PBL model; 3) there is an interaction effect between learning styles and learning models that is significant on the ability to solve word problems in class X SMA Dr.Soetomo Surabaya. Abstract

This research aims to analyze the pedagogical aspects influencing student’s self-regulated learning in mathematics education. The method applied in this study is a qualitative approach with a descriptive method. The research subjects consist of 25 seventh-grade students in a junior high school in Bandung. Data collection was conducted through observation of the mathematics learning process, distribution of a questionnaire on self-regulated learning in mathematics, and interview with both teachers and students. Data analysis was performed by calculating the percentage of student responses from the questionnaire and analyzing the pedagogical aspects of mathematics education. The result of the study show that the average self-regulated learning in mathematics is 69.92%, indicating a moderate category. The lowest indicator of self-regulated learning in mathematics is the ability to establish and choose learning strategies. Based on the analysis of pedagogical aspect in mathematics education regarding students’ self-regulated learning, it is related to the teacher’s ability to use teaching methods and technology. This is associated with pedagogical instructional knowledge (PIK) and pedagogical curricular knowledge (PCrK). Therefore, teaching methods and technology are esencial factors in enhancing self-regulated learning in mathematics.

Abstract

Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian eksperimen dengan pendekatan kuantitatif yang bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh dari pola asuh permisif grandparent terhadap perilaku prososial anak usia 4-5 tahun di Kecamatan Ciracap menggunakan Desain Eksperimen Semu. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan selama enam bulan di PAUD  Kecamatan Ciracap dan sampel yang digunakan adalah 50 orang guru di lembaga PAUD. Penggumpulan data dalam penelitian ini menggunakan metode observasi dan kuesioner atau angket. Analisis data yang digunakan yaitu uji normalitas data, uji homogenitas data, uji reabilitas, dan uji hipotesis. Berdasarkan analisis data beserta interpretasinya, dapat disimpulkan bahwa pola asuh permisif yang diterapkan oleh grandparent berpengaruh terhadap perilaku prososial anak. Hal ini berdasarkan nilai rata-rata dari uji t berpasangan menunjukan adanya perbedaan dimana nilai rata-rata (mean) prososial pada anak kelas eksperimen sebelum diberikan pemahaman adalah sebesar 43,80 dan nilai rata-rata (mean) prososial pada anak kelas eksperimen setelah diberikan pemahaman meningkat menjadi 78,39 dengan selisih nilai rata-rata (mean) sebasar 34,59 yang berarti bahwa terdapat peningkatan prososial pada anak sebesar 34,59. Hasil penelitian ini membuktikan bahwa dengan pola asuh permisif yang dilakukan oleh grandparent dapat membantu anak usia dini untuk mulai melakukan kegiatan prososial seperti menolong, berbagi, berempati, bertoleransi dan kegiatan sosial lainnya
