Abstract

Program for International Student Assessment (PISA) evaluates education systems in participating countries. Junior high school students are tested in math, science, and reading for the PISA Scientific Literacy test. This study contrasts the PISA Science Framework 2018 and 2025. This literature research uses systematic Literature Review (SLR) and bibliometric analysis. The method finds, reviews, evaluates, and interprets all research related to scientific literacy, PISA Framework 2018 and 2025, and its impact on Physics Education. The research used the Scopus database to find PISA Science Framework-related scientific articles. Results showed that PISA Framework 2025 evolves science literacy and scientific information function. The language is simplified to be more coherent by emphasizing the main idea of science. Procedural and epistemic knowledge are expanded and clarified. The finding is also supported by VOSviewer visualization of data results. This framework implies that physics education will assess students' understanding of fundamental physics principles and their rationality in applying them, including decision-making. In conclusion, the PISA Science Framework 2018 needs to be updated to the PISA Framework 2025 by the OECD to accommodate the students' needs in this era.

Abstract

Indonesia has an enormous amount of diversity, and unconsciously every culture has a different attraction. In its own culture, there is a science of physics that few people know much about, but local wisdom from several different areas can be used as a source of study in physics, one of which is traditional kekehan games. The study aims to understand the concept of physics in the traditional games of kekehan. The research method used in this study is qualitative descriptive methods. The approach used in this study is the ethnographic approach. The data collection method used is observation, documentation, and literature study. Observation and documentation are done in the physics education program at surabaya state university. From observation, documenting and literature studies, it can be concluded that mass influences the acceleration of the hostility Angle, where it inverse to angular acceleration. The second experiment showed that the fingers affect the rotation time. And it can also be discovered that the square of the finger is comparable to the kinetic energy rotation. The concept of physics of inertia includes moments of inertia, angles, heavy forces, circular motion, torque, and style moments.

Abstract

Learning science and religion is a combination of knowledge or science with relevant verses of the Al-Qur’an. Education is not only a means of gaining general knowledge through subjects, but also covers aspects of life as a whole, including religious morals. Considering that natural phenomena are so vast, it would be a shame if students are not given enough integration between science and religion, one of which is in physics lessons. The researcher took the initiative to carry out the application of science and religion further in the hope of providing a solution, namely by teaching physics, fluid material, integrated with verses from the Al-Al-Qur’an. This study employs mixed or combined research (mixed methods) with the type of Explanatory Design. Specifically, data collection and analysis of quantitative data are done in the first stage, and then qualitative data are collected and analyzed in the second stage. The integration of science and religion for the fluid material used produces an average value that is categorized as very good. Apart from that, the material from the validation results uses 3 foundations, namely the theological basis (hadârat an-nas), philosophical basis (hadârat al-falsafah), and scientific basis (hadârat al-'ilm). So that the verses of the Al-Qur’an become the main source of the theological basis for the idea of integration by including religious elements, then the scientific or scientific basis which includes the basics of static fluid physics, and the philosophical basis which includes the field of philosophy to connect these two things.

Abstract

Scientific literacy skill is needed by pre-service physics teachers (PSPTs) since it involves mastering thinking and using scientific thinking in recognizing and addressing social issues. However, low scientific literacy for PSPTs is a problem that needs to be solved, resulting in effectively teaching science to their students. Therefore, to increase the scientific literacy of PSPTs, this study aims to develop an online problem-based learning assisted with digital books with 3D animation (OPBLA3DB). This study employs a quasi-experimental design for educational research with subject 72 PSPTs in one university in Indonesia. The data were collected using written tests, questionnaires, observation sheets, and validity sheets. The findings of this study demonstrate how highly valid and reliable the research tools developed are. The implementation results also show how practical learning is. This teaching model can improve PSPTs’ scientific literacy effectively, along with obtaining positive responses from them. This study implies that the OPBLA3DB model can be widely applied to enhance scientific literacy.
