Abstract

Abstract

This research aims to see the effect of using Canva-based animated video learning media on the learning motivation of class V students at SDN 55/I Sridadi for the 2023/2024 academic year in Pancasila education subjects. This research was conducted in class V of SDN 55/I Sridadi in the 2023/2024 academic year. This research is a quantitative research with a research design using a nonequivalent control group design. The data collection method in this research was observation and questionnaires. Data collection techniques were obtained by filling in observation sheets and giving questionnaires in the form of statements to students. Based on the research results, it shows that the use of Canva-based animated video learning media in the experimental class at SDN 55/I Sridadi has an effect on students' learning motivation. Judging from the average final observation value after giving treatment, it is 38.57, meaning it is more than the average initial observation value before giving treatment, namely 30.81 compared to the control class. Initial observations found an average of 33.24 and a slight increase in observation. The final result is an average of 33.95 with the application of a conventional model that does not use certain treatments. The results obtained from the analysis of the significance value from the Coeficient table were 0.000 < 0.05, so it can be concluded that variable X has an effect on variable Y.

Class Action Research (PTK) consists of 2 cycles with each cycle having 2 meetings where data is taken from the teacher's implementation observation sheet in implementing the Discovery Learning learning model and the student's social skills observation sheet. This research was carried out in 4 stages, namely planning, implementation, observation and reflection. The research results show that the application of the Discovery Learning model in science learning has resulted in a significant increase in students' social skills. Initially, social skills were at the level of 56.42% in the first cycle, but increased to 76.22% in the second cycle. Thus, it can be concluded that the implementation of the Discovery Learning model in science and science learning has succeeded in improving the social skills of class IV elementary school students.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the effect of the Problem-Based Learning (PBL) model on (1) students’ learning motivation, (2) their problem-solving skills, and (3) the simultaneous influence of PBL on both variables in the context of Integrated Science and Social Studies (IPAS) for fourth-grade elementary students. A quantitative approach with a quasi-experimental design was employed, using a pretest-posttest non-equivalent control group design. The research was conducted at SDN 181/IX Berkah, involving 61 students divided into two classes: the experimental group received PBL instruction, while the control group used the STAD model. Data were collected through a learning motivation questionnaire and a problem-solving test developed based on Polya’s indicators. Instrument validity was confirmed through expert judgment, and reliability testing using Cronbach’s alpha yielded values of 0.82 for motivation and 0.79 for problem-solving. Data were analyzed using Kolmogorov–Smirnov for normality, Levene’s test for homogeneity, independent sample t-tests to test individual effects, and MANOVA to assess the simultaneous effect of the PBL model. The results revealed that the PBL model had a significant effect on learning motivation (p = .000), problem-solving ability (p = .000), and their simultaneous improvement (p = .000). These findings suggest that PBL is an effective instructional approach to enhance students’ cognitive and affective learning outcomes in IPAS learning

Abstract

This study examines the role and impact of Information and Communication Technology (ICT) in the context of formal and non-formal education. Technology, broadly defined as a symbol of knowledge and a means by which humans build civilization, is now intrinsically linked to computer hardware and software in the realm of information. In formal education, ICT has transformed teaching and learning methods through online platforms such as Zoom and Google Classroom, accelerating learning processes, expanding access to diverse learning resources, and supporting distance learning, particularly during the pandemic. Nevertheless, challenges such as infrastructure limitations, varying user preferences, and alignment with local values remain obstacles. On the other hand, in non-formal education, ICT acts as a key facilitator in providing access to digital skills training relevant to the job market, promoting self-directed learning through online platforms, and strengthening digital competencies. A case study at LPK Anita illustrates how the adoption of modern technology can enhance administrative efficiency, improve learning quality, and create entrepreneurial opportunities. However, non-formal education also faces similar challenges, including limited infrastructure, a lack of human resource competence, insufficient funding, and suboptimal strategic management. This study concludes that ICT is an essential effort to deliver information and optimize learning, but its successful implementation heavily depends on proactive management of the various existing barriers.

Abstract

Curriculum policy in Indonesia continues to transform dynamically in response to the challenges of globalization and the demands of internal reform. This study aims to analyze the evolution of national curriculum policy in the post-reform era and examine the implementation of the Kurikulum Merdeka (Independent Curriculum) as well as the integration of Deep Learning as adaptive strategies for addressing the complexities of the 21st century. Utilizing a literature review method, this research synthesizes data from laws and regulations, government policy documents, and various relevant scientific articles. The analysis reveals that the evolution of the curriculum from the Competency-Based Curriculum (KBK) of 2004 to the Kurikulum Merdeka represents a logical journey from a centralized paradigm to full decentralization and autonomy. The Kurikulum Merdeka, grounded in the philosophies of humanism, social constructivism, and local wisdom, emerges as a response to the need for more personalized and contextual learning. Furthermore, the integration of Deep Learning through content development, technology-based projects, and industry collaboration is identified as a strategic step in equipping students with digital competencies relevant to the Fourth Industrial Revolution. It is concluded that this adaptive curriculum policy has significant potential to enhance national competitiveness; however, its success heavily relies on the education system's ability to overcome fundamental challenges such as equitable infrastructure quality and the continuous improvement of teacher capacity.
