Abstract

The Architecture, Engineering, Construction, and Operations (AECO) industry has shown high interest in the use of Building Information Modeling (BIM) for Facility Maintenance Management (FMM). The opportunity to use BIM for the operational activities of building facilities is very large, but the use of BIM in FM is still far behind compared to the implementation of BIM at the design and construction stages. This research is intended to test the tile floor maintenance method and create visualizations in animative form and apply them in virtual learning with evaluation based on the Technology Acceptance Model (TAM). The results of the student t-test statistical test showed that there was a very significant effect of the Ceramic Floor Care Method Learning Media on increasing user knowledge in 5 aspects (learning objectives, knowledge, materials, service quality, and appearance). The test results by media experts on the aspects of language, display, and service quality obtained the "very feasible" category, while the test results by material experts on the aspects of learning objectives, material delivery, and material selection also obtained the "very feasible" category to be applied in learning/ training. It is hoped that the results of this research can trigger the formation of an open access BIM object library.

Abstract

Tujuan pengabdian masyarakat ini adalah untuk memberikan dampingan kepada Lembaga Keuangan Syariah berbentuk Koperasi Syariah atas pemahaman penerapan akad dan laporan keuangan yang dibutuhkan oleh instansi tempat pelaksanaan pengabdian. Metode yang digunakan PAR adalah proses pencarian pengembangan pengetahuan praktis dalam memahami sosial, politik, lingkungan, atau kondisi ekonomi. PAR juga bersifat partisipatif Metode penelitian dan pengembangan yang mengakui hubungan sosial dan nilai realitas pengalaman, pikiran, dan perasaan kita. Hasil pendampingan di masyarakat adalah regulasi emosi, kontrol impuls, sikap optimis, efikasi diri, dan peningkatan positif aspek. Hasil pengabdian masyarakat adalah Dampingan Literasi Keuangan Syariah bagi KSPPS BMT Surya Raharja menghasilkan (1) Penerapan Akad syariah yang ada masih terbatas atas produk simpanan dan pembiayaan dengan produk penerapan akad Rahn, (2) Penerapan atas Laporan keuangan yang ada belum tersedia adanya laporan Dana Kebajikan, (3) Sumber Daya Manusia Belum sepenuhnya memahami inklusi keuangan syariah sehingga perlu dampingan kontinue. Dengan adanya pelaksanaan pengabdian ini diharapkan KSPPS BMT Surya Raharja Paciran lebih memahami, menerapkan dan menguatkan kualitas dalam literasi keuangan syariah yang ada.

Abstract

This study discusses the application of EfficientNet architecture in developing a Convolutional Neural Network (CNN) model for sign language classification. Sign language is a vital communication method for the deaf community, but automatic recognition remains a challenge in the field of computer vision. One of the primary issues is the limitation in accuracy and efficiency of models in recognizing complex variations of sign language in real-world conditions. EfficientNet, known for its computational efficiency, is used as a backbone to build a CNN model that can classify sign language letter patterns with high accuracy while remaining lightweight. The dataset used in this study is American Sign Language (ASL) with data augmentation techniques to enhance the variety and quality of the dataset. The dataset comprises 14,740 images of sign language letter patterns from various angles and lighting conditions. Experimental results show that the EfficientNet-based model developed achieves training and validation accuracies of 98.40% with a more efficient model size and inference time. This study demonstrates the significant potential of using EfficientNet in developing sign language classification systems that can be applied to devices with limited resources, such as mobile applications and edge computing. These findings are expected to improve accessibility and social inclusion for the deaf and speech-impaired communities. Thus, this research not only contributes to the field of pattern recognition technology but also to efforts to enhance the quality of life for individuals with communication disabilities through the development of effective and efficient assistive tools.

Abstract

Traffic accidents are often caused by drowsiness or negligent sleep, as well the use of alcohol or drugs. Microsleep, which is drowsiness or falling asleep within a few seconds without the driver realizing it, is a dangerous condition that can lead to death while driving. This research aims to implement the Long Short Term Memory (LSTM) algorithm as an early warning of microlsleep in drivers and develop a drowsiness detection tool using a pulse heart rate sensor. LSTM, with its ability to memory long-range information, has proven to be superior in time series prediction and is applied in real-time driver heart rate data analysis. The results show that the implemented LSTM model has good performance in detecting drowsiness, with MAE values of 6.42 in training data and 6.35 in testing data. RMSE of 8.82 for training and 8.33 for testing. MAPE of 8.87% in training data and 8.97% in testing data, and MSE of 77.80 in training data and 69.47 in testing. Thus, the LSTM algorithm is effective in detecting drowsiness in drivers through heart rate data analysis, which can serve as an early warning system to prevent traffic accidents caused by microsleep.

Abstract

Technological advancements play a crucial role in enhancing the efficiency of modern agriculture, particularly in addressing pest management challenges. This study focuses on the development of an automatic pest detection system for shallot crops using a combination of Arduino Uno microcontroller, ESP32-CAM camera module, and YOLOv3 object detection model. The system is designed to detect pests in real-time through images captured by ESP32-CAM and analyzed using YOLOv3, then provide an automatic response by spraying pesticides only in areas where pests are detected. The study began with the development of hardware and software for the automatic pest detection system. Arduino Uno is used as the main microcontroller to control the entire system, while ESP32-CAM is responsible for capturing images and detecting pests. The YOLOv3 model is trained using the COCO dataset, supplemented with sample images of pests on shallot crops to improve detection accuracy. The training process is conducted using a GPU to speed up model learning. Field tests on shallot crops infested with various types of pests show that this system has a high accuracy rate in detecting pests and effectively provides automatic pesticide spraying responses. The spraying system's effectiveness reaches 93%, ensuring pesticides are sprayed only in areas where pests are detected, thus optimizing pesticide use and reducing negative environmental impacts. This system offers an efficient and environmentally friendly solution for pest control and has significant potential for application in various agricultural scenarios. This research contributes to the improvement of agricultural productivity and the welfare of farmers in Indonesia.

Abstract

This study investigates the implementation of multicultural values and students' character formation at the Faculty of Law. This study used experimental research with quasi-experimental. The sampling technique used cluster sampling. Primary data sources were students. Then, researchers gave multiple-choice item tests using the Likert Scale. The data interview was gathered from the Dean and Lecturers of AIK. Secondary data was obtained from documentation and literature. The research gave a pre-test and treated multicultural values. The data collection is in tests, non-tests (Likert scale), observations, interviews, and documentation. Data analyzed by t-test Independent-Sample T-Test. The finding shows that the character of the students of the Faculty of Law, University of Muhammadiyah, Palembang, experienced a significant increase after the application of multicultural values. The researchers conducted the study in moral knowing by applying the values of tolerance, democratic values, the values of equality, and the values of justice. The implication of these values makes Law Faculty students know moral values, have awareness and understand a good point of view. Second, researchers provide two-week student day activities in mosques, sports fields, and classrooms. During student day, the value of multicultural education is instilled. The effect obtained after student day is that students of the Faculty of Law have empathy, humility, and self-esteem. The third is moral action by conducting inter-religious dialogue in developing social intelligence. Implementing multicultural values – moral knowing, feeling, and action can shape students' character in everyday life.

Abstract

Character development efforts through a variety of educational institutions and through various methods continue to be developed. This shows that morals really need to be fostered, and this formation turns out to bring results in the form of the formation of Muslim individuals who are noble, obedient to Allah and His Messenger, respect for mothers, fathers, compassion for fellow beings and so on. This condition of coaching is increasingly felt necessary especially when there are more challenges and temptations as a result of advances in science and technology. Today, for example, people will easily communicate with anything in this world, which is good or bad, because the existence of telecommunication equipments. The problems in article this study are: first¸ What is The Values of Manners Education based on Faith according to ShaykhNawawi al-Bantani in the book Qāmīu at-Tughyān? second¸ What is the relevance Values of Manners Education based on Faith according to ShaykhNawawi al-Bantani in the Qāmī'u at-Tughyā book with the current context of moral education?The purpose of this study is to describe and critically analyze the Values of Manners Education based on Faith according to ShaykhNawawi al-Bantani in the book Qāmīu at-Tughyān and its relevance to the current context of moral education.While the usefulness of this research theoretically is to add scientific insight about moral education and can be a reference material in digging up information in order to add to scientific treasures. And its practical uses for education observers namely contribute to becoming a reference and scientific treasure in deepening scientific horizons. This study uses a descriptive qualitative analysis approach with a type of library research. While the data collection techniques is based on documentation. And the data analysis technique is the content analysis technique. The results of this study indicate that the classification of faith-based moral education in the book Qāmi'u At-Tughyān According to Shaykh Muhammad Nawawi Al-Bantani can be divided into five categories. First, morals towards Allah Swt.Second, morals towards Prophet Muhammad Saw.Third, morals towards Religious expert. Fourth, morals towards fellow people and Fifth, morals towards ourself.

Abstract

The research that has been done aims to analyze the effect of the work environment and employee competence on employee performance at a seafood processing company in Probolinggo City, East Java. Based on the results of the analysis of the calculation of the first hypothesis (H1), which states that the work environment has a positive and significant effect on employee performance, the t-count value of 19,845 is greater than the t-table value, which is 1,677 and the significance value obtained is less than 0.05, which means that the work environment has a positive and significant effect on employee performance, the results of the calculation analysis of the second hypothesis (H2) which states that employee competence has a positive and significant effect on employee performance obtained a t-count value of 14,471 greater than the t-table value of 1,677 and the value the significance obtained is less than 0.05, which means that employee competence has a positive and significant effect on employee performance, while the R-square value obtained is 0.897 which states that work environment variables and employee competency affect employee performance by 89.70% and the remaining 10.30% influenced by other variables.

Abstract

Facial recognition system is a system developed by many technology companies. Face recognition has become a system that is widely used for various purposes such as the development of security systems, identification of identities, as well as processing of an image or film. One of the methods used to create this system is to use the ESP32 CAM module which is connected to the Arduino, where the ESP32 CAM is a module with an OV2640 camera sensor that can be used to take pictures and face recognition. ESP32 CAM is a development of the previous module and has an ESP32 chip with dual connectivity namely WiFi and Bluetooth. The face which is a part of the human body that is often the focus of attention in social interactions because it plays a vital role by showing identity and emotions. Will be used as an indication of the introduction of a person or Face Recognition. The basic principle is that by quoting the face's unique information, the system will read and recognize it. Face recognition is a pattern recognition (pattern recognition). This can be described as a classification of a face whether recognized or not recognized, and once recognized, the face pattern will be stored. The ESP32 CAM that has been connected to the Arduino will detect whether the face is recognized or not, then the data will be sent to the relay and if the face is recognized, the door lock will open automatically, while if the face data is not recognized, the door lock will not open.

Abstract

Ikan merupakan sumber protein hewani kelas dua setelah daging, susu, dan telur. Kajian mutakhir menempatkan ikan dan berbagai hasil laut sebagai sumber vitamin dan mineral esensial yang amat kaya. Ikan merupakan produk laut yang mengandung asam lemak rantai panjang omega-3 (DHA) yang berperan  dalam pertumbuhan dan kesehatan. Mengingat betapa pentingnya manfaat ikan maka sangat penting para nelayan patuh terhadap Permen KKP No. 1 Tahun 2007 Tentang Pengendalian Sistem Jaminan Mutu dan Keamanan Hasil Perikanan utamanya Formalin. Metodologi penelitian ini adalah deskriptif kualitatif dengan analisis dari Miles Dan Hubermen dengan teknik pengambilan data melalui survey, kuesioner, dan wawancara. Penelitian menggali Persepsi Nelayan dengan alat tangkap Jaring Tarik Berkantong (JTB) pada armada kategori 30 GT, dari tanggal 7 November sampai 7 Desember 2022 bertempat di Pelabuhan Perikanan Nusantara Brondong. Hasil uji kualitatif formalin di Laboratorium Pelabuhan Perikanan Nusantara (PPN) Brondong pada keempat ikan sampel yaitu ikan jaket/bukur (Aluterus monoceros), kurisi (Nemipterus spp ), kakap merah (Lutjanus sp.) dan cumi-cumi (Loligo sp) diperoleh hasil formalin dengan indikator negatif (-). Hal tersebut diketahui karena ikan hasil tangkapan nelayan dengan  alat tangkap Jaring Tarik Berkantong (JTB) armada 30 GT tidak menggunakan formalin dan bahan pangan tambahan. Hasil dari uji laboratorium tentang kandungan formalin dinyatakan Negatif (-). Hasil analisis variabel X1 tentang kondisi ikan hasil tangkapan masih segar dengan jawaban  Setuju (S) 8,3%, Sangat Setuju (SS) 91,7%. Hasil variabel X2 tentang nelayan dan tengkulak sudah mengerti formalin tidak di perbolehkan dengan jawaban Setuju (S) 11,1%, dan Sangat Setuju (SS) 88,9%. Hasil analisis variabel Y tentang nelayan dan tengkulak sama –sama disiplin dan menolak pemakaian formalin dengan jawaban Setuju (S) 13,9%, Sangat Setuju (SS) 86,1%. Hal tersebut diketahui karena nelayan dan tengkulak mengetahui petugas setempat telah melakukan pengawasan terhadap mutu atau kualitas hasil tangkapan. Kepatuhan pada Permen KKP No 1 Tahun 2007 Tentang Pengendalian  Sistem Jaminan  Mutu dan Keamanan Hasil Perikanan, hal tersebut  diketahui para nelayan tidak menggunakan formalin dan bahan tambahan pangan serta menolak pemakaian formalin. Para nelayan dan beberapa tengkulak telah mengetahui bahaya tentang penggunaan formalin
