Abstract

The development of an entrepreneurial spirit among students has become an important priority for many schools and education stakeholders. This research aims to identify the early stages that are important in developing an entrepreneurial culture in the student community. The analysis method used is a qualitative approach involving observation, documentation studies, and fieldwork. The results of the study reveal three key elements that should be the focus for schools. First and foremost, schools must develop a curriculum that pays special attention to the development of students' knowledge and business acumen. In addition, educational institutions must provide extracurricular activities that enhance students' practical experience in running a business, such as running clubs and business projects. Third, developing relationships with local communities, including the business world, organizations, and local government agencies, can provide benefits for students in the form of practical practice and day-to-day support for business programs. The findings of this study emphasize the need for a holistic approach in building an entrepreneurial culture among students, which involves synchronizing integration, extracurricular programs, and external stakeholder engagement. These initial steps can be a strong foundation for schools to develop students into innovative and future-oriented entrepreneurs.

Abstract

Entrepreneurship in higher education has gained momentum as a significant research subject, especially in the last decade. New approaches to entrepreneurship education in universities recognize that the goal is not only to generate new businesses, but more broadly to develop students' critical thinking, problem-solving and innovation skills. In this competitive global economy, graduates with technical skills alone are not enough. It also requires the ability to innovate and adapt, and create new opportunities. In response, universities around the world have integrated entrepreneurship education into their curricula, seeking to equip graduates with a flexible and proactive mindset through various programs and initiatives. However, challenges in the implementation of entrepreneurship education include its effective integration into an often rigid and dense curriculum, as well as difficulties in measuring the long-term impact of entrepreneurship. This study aims to identify and visualize publications related to entrepreneurial learning in the context of higher education. Using bibliometric analysis with the main data source from the Scopus database, this study focused on publications between 2014 and 2023, resulting in 799 relevant documents to be further analyzed using Biblioshiny for data visualization. From the data filtering results, 265 publications were identified with an annual growth of 13.33% and 672 authors who have contributed to this field, signaling high interest from the research community. In-depth analysis revealed publication trends, the most prolific authors, the most active affiliations, and the most cited articles, providing a comprehensive picture of the current bibliometric landscape. These insights are important for educators, curriculum developers, and policymakers to inform the development of more effective educational programs and policies and highlight the need for further research on the impact of entrepreneurial learning and the integration of digital technologies in education. This research provides a foundation for future explorations into digital entrepreneurship, charting pathways for innovation and positive impact within the education sector

Abstract

The learning process is a fundamental aspect that supports the development of knowledge, skills and attitudes among learners. Along with the advancement of digital technology, there has been a substantial integration of ICT-based learning tools that aim to improve student engagement and educational outcomes. Despite the availability of innovative tools, many educators still use conventional methodologies, often resulting in passive and less effective learning environments. Recent empirical studies emphasize the importance of ICT-based educational tools in entrepreneurship education. Tools such as educational videos, electronic modules and interactive platforms facilitate direct interaction between educators and learners. In addition, simulations and multimedia resources can be utilized to explain complex concepts, enhancing student understanding. The study used a meta-analysis approach to assess the efficacy of ICT-based educational media in improving learning outcomes in entrepreneurship education. By analyzing secondary data from pre-test and post-test results featured in ten scholarly articles retrieved from Google Scholar, the study calculated effect sizes and conducted hypothesis testing through paired sample t-tests. The analysis revealed a two-tailed significant p-value of 0.000, lower than the threshold value 0.05, leading to the acceptance of the alternative hypothesis. Consequently, there was a marked increase in the mean score from 61.793 to 84.131, indicating an increase of 19.5%. The findings suggest that ICT-based educational tools enhance student learning and are specifically effective in entrepreneurship education, with a Cohen effect size of 1.58.
