Abstract

This community engagement initiative aims to enhance digital marketing capabilities among rural micro-entrepreneurs in Cipeundeuy Village, Bojong Subdistrict, Purwakarta Regency. The village holds significant economic potential through its agricultural products and local crafts, yet limited digital literacy and conventional marketing approaches have hindered the competitiveness of its micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs). This activity documents a participatory and educational training designed to build practical skills in digital marketing, product packaging, and e-marketplace utilization—specifically through the Shopee platform. The training employed a three-phase approach: conceptual training on digital marketing and branding, basic business planning using SWOT analysis and STP strategies, and hands-on sessions on account creation, visual product design, and content promotion using social media and marketplace tools. Findings indicate a significant increase in participants’ awareness of digital tools, confidence in online engagement, and initial application of marketing strategies tailored to rural business contexts. The intervention also fostered community collaboration, peer-learning dynamics, and a shift toward entrepreneurial self-reliance. Furthermore, this study highlights the critical role of higher education institutions in supporting Indonesia’s national digital literacy movement by bridging knowledge gaps between urban and rural economic actors. The training’s outcomes suggest that capacity-building efforts in digital literacy can act as a catalyst for inclusive economic transformation and sustainable rural development. Future programs should integrate continuous mentoring and digital ecosystem support to ensure long-term impact. This project demonstrates a replicable model for community empowerment through digital marketing training in other underdeveloped rural areas. Keywords: Community empowerment, digital literacy, digital marketing, marketplace training, rural entrepreneurship.

Abstract

Every day journalists are required to be able to find and make news. With these demands, journalists are encouraged to be able to fulfill them in various ways in accordance with the rules and regulations. This paper shows the strategies of Tras.id journalists in finding news in the Bengkulu Region. Purposive sampling, an informant interview technique, was used in this qualitative research. Planning, production, and editing are the three main focuses of this research. This study uses data collection methods with observation, interviews, and documentation to collect information from six people, namely the public, editor-in-chief, editors, and journalists. Starting with daily editorial meetings and the availability of supporting equipment such as cars, cell phones, agendas/notebooks, and press cards, this research resulted in a news search strategy. The study's recommendations focus on two areas: the lack of case studies or specific topics on the news published by Tras.id media and the need to initiate some major investigations into the escalation of political issues. The next advice that needs to be given is to pay close attention to each sentence on the news page before it is published.

Abstract

Kadugenep Tourism Village holds great potential as a culturally based tourist destination. However, language barriers remain a significant challenge for the local community in providing services to international visitors. This cross-language communication training aims to improve the villagers' foreign language skills, particularly in tourism contexts, to enhance service quality and the village's overall appeal. This study employs a qualitative method with a participatory training approach, incorporating observation, interviews, and skill evaluations before and after the training. Findings indicate a significant improvement in basic English communication skills and a deeper understanding of tourist cultures post-training. Additionally, villagers gained greater confidence in interacting with foreign visitors. The implications of this study suggest that cross-language communication training contributes to enhancing the competitiveness of Kadugenep Tourism Village and can serve as a model for other tourism villages. With continued support, such initiatives could foster sustainable tourism, empower local communities economically and socially, and strengthen intercultural exchange between hosts and visitors, making local destinations more accessible and attractive to a global audience.

Abstract

The Islamic Oemat Force (AOI) movement cannot be separated from the events of the struggle of the people of Kebumen to defend independence. The Islamic Oemat Force movement grew and developed under the leadership of KH Mahfudz Abdurrahman, who at that time was considered a father by the people of Kebumen. If we examine further the role of KH Mahfudz Abdurrahman in the history of the Islamic Oemat Force Movement in Kebumen in 1945-1950, it has the potential to be used as content in history learning to support the Pancasila Student Profile program. This research uses Kuntowijoyo's historical research method to examine the elements of the Strengthening the Pancasila Profile program contained in the history of KH Mahfudz Abdurrahman's struggle in the Islamic Oemat Force Movement. Based on the analytical study that has been carried out, KH Mahfudz's role in the Islamic Oemat Force Movement can be integrated into the values in the Strengthening Pancasila Student Profile program. The six aspects of values in the Strengthening Pancasila Student Profile program are reflected in the role of KH Mahfudz, namely faith, devotion to God Almighty and noble character, independence, mutual cooperation, global diversity, critical and creative reasoning. We find that KH Mahfudz's role has the potential to support history learning based on Strengthening the Pancasila Student Profile.

Abstract

This article aims to analyze the structure and development of Minaret College’s revenue in Australia, with a focus on the 2023–2024 financial report. The research method employs a qualitative approach using the 2023–2024 financial report text. Data analysis utilizes quantitative percentage analysis and qualitative descriptive interpretation. The results show that the institution’s income is predominantly derived from government grants (federal and state), accounting for more than 85% of total revenue. In 2024, total income increased by 6.49%, with the main contributions coming from federal government grants (65.23%) and state grants (19.77%). Other income sources, including parental contributions and paid program revenues, exhibited slower growth but remain essential for financial diversification strategies. This article highlights the institution’s need to develop more sustainable alternative income sources, such as endowment funds, paid programs, and community-based philanthropy. Financial management is conducted transparently through publication on the institution’s website and the ACNC (The Australian Charities and Not-for-profits Commission). To enhance trust and partnership opportunities, the institution is audited by the independent auditor Bunnet & Bassal Pty Ltd. This study offers strategic policy recommendations to improve the financial independence of Minaret College and ensure its operational sustainability in the context of evolving global education policies.

Abstract

Abstract

General Background Political parties occupy a central institutional position in democratic systems but are recurrently associated with corruption that benefits organisations collectively rather than solely individual actors. Specific Background Indonesia’s National Criminal Code recognises corporations as subjects of criminal liability, thereby opening doctrinal space for prosecuting political parties, while France has long applied legal person liability under Article 121-2 of the Code pénal, supported by strict political finance supervision. Knowledge Gap Despite normative recognition in Indonesia, political parties are rarely treated as corporate offenders in corruption cases, creating a gap between legal construction and enforcement practice. Aims This study analyses the construction of political party criminal liability under Indonesia’s National Criminal Code, examines the French model, and compares both systems to identify a more coherent liability framework. Results The findings show that Indonesia provides a broad normative basis for treating political parties as corporate criminal subjects but lacks clear implementing mechanisms, whereas France demonstrates a consolidated and operational model combining criminal liability with institutional financial oversight. Novelty This study offers a focused comparative analysis positioning political parties explicitly as corporate offenders within corruption law, highlighting structural rather than individual accountability. Implications The analysis underscores the need for clearer legislative articulation and strengthened institutional design in Indonesia to ensure that political parties benefiting from corruption can be held criminally accountable, drawing lessons from the French experience. Highlights: Indonesia’s criminal law framework recognises organisational responsibility but rarely extends prosecution beyond individual perpetrators. France applies legal person responsibility to political organisations through clear doctrine and dedicated financial supervision. Comparative analysis reveals institutional design as a decisive factor in enforcing accountability for corruption. Abstract

Depuration is an effort to reduce/eliminate contamination, including microplastics, using a water circulation system. This study aims to determine the effective depuration time to reduce the microplastic content in Asiatic hard clams (Meretrix). This study used a quantitative approach with an experimental research design and a completely randomized design. There are 450 clams used as an experimental animal where the treatment consisted of four depuration times, namely 1, 2, 3, and 4 days with three repetitions of each treatment, while the control clams were without depuration. Analysis of variance (ANOVA) was used to see the effect of depuration treatment on the microplastic content. If the effect of the treatment was significantly different, then the Post Hoc Test was continued to determine the differences between treatments. The results showed that Asiatic hard clams (Meretrix) obtained from the mouth of the Jenelata River, Gowa, were contaminated with microplastics ranging from 0.6 to 8.1 MPs/clam and an average of 3.96 MPs/clam. Depuration time significantly affected the microplastic content in clams' depuration effectiveness. There is a tendency for a longer depuration time to decrease microplastic content in clams. The adequate depuration time to reduce the microplastic content in Asiatic hard clams (Meretrix) was 3 and 4 days. Based on the findings of this study, it is recommended that further research be conducted to explore methods for reducing microplastics using natural materials.
