Abstract

This paper aims to describe the leadership role of teachers in Islamic education. This research uses the literature study method by analyzing primary sources from books and journals. The results of the study show that leadership is a crucial element in organizations, including in education. Effective leadership is the main key in determining the success of education, especially because of the many managerial aspects that must be managed. In the Islamic perspective, the Prophet Muhammad PBUH has shown ideal leadership traits, such as honesty, trustworthiness, communicativeness and intelligence. In addition, teacher leadership in Islamic education emphasizes the importance of exemplary and good communication skills as part of leadership duties. Thus, a teacher not only acts as an educator but also as a leader who is able to provide positive examples for students. Abstrak Tulisan ini bertujuan untuk menggambarkan peran kepemimpinan guru dalam pendidikan Islam. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode studi pustaka dengan menganalisis sumber-sumber primer dari buku dan jurnal. Hasil studi menunjukkan bahwa kepemimpinan merupakan elemen krusial dalam organisasi, termasuk dalam dunia pendidikan. Kepemimpinan yang efektif menjadi kunci utama dalam menentukan keberhasilan pendidikan, terutama karena banyaknya aspek manajerial yang harus dikelola. Dalam perspektif Islam, Nabi Muhammad saw. telah menunjukkan sifat-sifat kepemimpinan yang ideal, seperti jujur, amanah, komunikatif, dan cerdas. Selain itu, kepemimpinan guru dalam pendidikan Islam menekankan pentingnya keteladanan serta keterampilan komunikasi yang baik sebagai bagian dari tugas kepemimpinan. Dengan demikian, seorang guru tidak hanya bertindak sebagai pendidik tetapi juga sebagai pemimpin yang mampu memberikan contoh positif bagi peserta didik.

Abstract

Yellow pumpkin (Cucurbita moschata Durch) is one of the food ingredients rich in dietary fibers, especially pectin, bioactive compounds, beta carotene, vitamin A, tocopherol, other vitamins including B6, K, C, thiamine, and riboflavin, as well as several types of minerals (K, P, Mg, Fe, and Se). This study aimed to determine the carotene retention of biscuits made from pumpkin flour (Cucurbita moschata Durch) at various heating temperatures. This study's stages included preparing pumpkin flour and biscuits, carotene content, and carotene retention analysis from various heating temperatures. Determination of carotene retention using a UV - Vis spectrophotometer. The results showed that the roasting temperature influenced carotene retention in the preparation of biscuits. Biscuits with retention of 86 % were found at a temperature of 190 oC. The lowest carotene retention of 79 % was found at a roasting temperature of 210 oC.

Abstract

Background: This study aims to assess the level of sustainable livelihoods in a village with significant natural resource potential, analyze the assets affecting the community's livelihoods, and propose strategies to enhance sustainability. Methods: This research was conducted in Piantus Village, Sejangkung District, over four weeks, using surveys, interviews, and questionnaires. A sample of 86 families from 598 was selected through Random Sampling. Descriptive analysis, processed with Microsoft Excel, assessed five livelihood assets: human, natural, social, financial, and physical. Findings: The results of this study indicate that based on the community livelihood asset indicator index in Piantus Village, Sejangkung District, Sambas Regency, the average index scale score obtained from community livelihood assets was 0.62 with moderate criteria which means not yet sustainable. Conclusion: The strategy carried out by the Piantus Village community is the Accumulation Strategy, the condition of the assets owned by the Piantus Village community is not yet sustainable and can be said to be relatively unsustainable so that accumulation needs to be carried out to improve its condition. Novelty/Originality of This Study: By incorporating both qualitative and quantitative methods, it provides fresh insights into the challenges and opportunities for enhancing livelihood sustainability in resource-dependent communities, offering a new strategic framework for ecological-driven livelihood improvement.

Abstract

The process of applying the knowledge learned at the University to help society as a whole is known as community service activities. At the Al Imran Orphanage in Gowa Regency, South Sulawesi, is a place for implementing community service activities that aim to encourage students' interest in entrepreneurship, especially to help the community around the orphanage. In this community service activity, children at the orphanage are taught how to make "Es Fruit Jelly Ball" and are motivated to learn. The results of the community service activities at the Al Imran Orphanage, Gowa Regency have gone smoothly, as evidenced by the active participation of the UNM Faculty of Engineering and the Al-Imran Orphanage, Gowa. Through this community service activity, it is hoped that it can help them in entrepreneurship at the orphanage, as well as strengthen the sense of brotherhood between educational institutions and social institutions.

Abstract

This research aims to improve the photography and videography skills of the Gisik Cemandi Village community, Sidoarjo Regency, as an effort to empower the economy and promote village potential through digital media. The activities were carried out in the framework of Field Work Lectures (KKL) by Stikosa-AWS students through a series of research-based programs, such as training in shooting, editing, and social media publication. The results showed an increase in community understanding and skills in utilizing technology for branding MSME products and promoting local marine tourism. With the active involvement of the community, this program also provides field work experience for students, while contributing to a sustainable empowerment model that can be applied in other villages.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan kualitas dan kedudukan hadits tentang Nilai Tolong Menolong yang diriwayatkan oleh Bukhari. Kualitas hadits dimaksud ditinjau dari aspek sanad maupun matan, sehingga akan diperoleh penjelasan apakah hadits tersebut berstatus shaheh atau dhoif. Urgensi matan hadits ini ditunjukkan dengan besarnya keutamaan orang mempunyai anak wanita lalu dia mendidik dan mengasuh mereka dengan baik. Nabi shallallahu alaihi wasallam menjamin kedekatan orang itu dengan diri beliau dan beliau mengabarkan bahwa anak- anak perempuan tersebut bisa menjadi syafaat akan melindungi mereka dari api neraka. Metode digunakan dalam penelitian hadits ini adalah kualitatif dengan menerapkan studi pustaka. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan dengan menghimpun sumber kepustakaan baik primer maupun sekunder. Menurut strukturnya, penelitian ini akan tertuju kepada dua unsur yaitu Penelitian Sanad dan Penelitian Matan. Penelitian ini berkesimpulan bahwa hadits riwayat Bukhari Nomor 1329 tergolong ke dalam golongan hadits shahih baik dari segi sanad maupun matan.

Abstract

Conflict is one of the problems faced by many organizations, especially non-profit organizations such as educational institutions (schools). School leaders or principals play an important role in managing conflict in order to achieve the vision, mission and goals of the organization. This article aims to describe first, the nature, activities and management of conflict. Second, the nature and role of school principal leadership. Third, conflict management strategies in the leadership of school principals from an Islamic perspective. The research method used is literature study, researchers collect data from various sources, reduce and analyze, and draw conclusions. The research results show that: first, the essence of conflict is differences of opinion, while conflict activities are related to competition, conflict management is carried out through introspection, evaluation, identification, and knowing options. Second, the essence of leadership is influencing, while the principal's leadership role includes as a formal official, manager, leader, supervisor, administrator, educator, and as staff. Abstract

This research aims to explore and analyze the strategies implemented by the West Nusa Tenggara (NTB) Department of Education and Culture (Dikbud) in creating education that is free from conflict and harmony. Using a descriptive qualitative methodology with a case study approach, this research found that increased communication between stakeholders, character education, and mediation as the main approaches in conflict resolution have succeeded in creating a conducive learning environment. Apart from that, the use of local wisdom and application of the principles of social justice and inclusiveness are important factors in reducing educational disparities. The research results show that these strategies not only increase harmonious relationships between educators, students, parents and the community, but also contribute to the development of student character. This research recommends strengthening mediation programs, more active community involvement, and inclusive education policies to ensure the continuation of peaceful education in NTB.

Abstract

This study aims to examine (a) the increase of students' learning motivation after applying the Project Based Learning model in the Basic Programming Subject at SMKN (public vocational high school) 2 Gowa, (b) the increase of students' conceptual understanding skills after applying the Project Based Learning Model in Basic Programming Subject at SMKN 2 Gowa, (c) whether the students' learning motivation in applying the Project Based Learning model is more effective than students' motivation in applying conventional learning model, and (d) whether the students' conceptual understanding skills in applying Project Based Learning model are more effective than the students’ conceptual understanding skills in applying conventional learning model in Basic Programming Subject at SMKN Negeri 2 Gowa. The type of research used is experimental research. The experimental design used is the Nonequivalent Control Group Design in the form of PretestPosttest Design with a sample of 68 students. Data collecting employed questionnaire and test of conceptual understanding skills. The collected data were analyzed using descriptive statistical analysis and inferential statistical analysis. The results of the study are reveal that (a) there is an increase in students' learning motivation after applying the Project Based Learning model in Basic Programming Subject at SMKN Negeri 2 Gowa, (b) there is an increase in students' conceptual understanding skills after applying the Project Based Learning model in Basic Programming Subject at SMKN 2 Gowa, (c) the students’ learning motivation in applying the Project Based Learning model is more effective than students’ learning motivation in applying conventional learning model in Basic Programming Subject at SMKN 2 Gowa, and (d) the students' conceptual understanding skills in applying Project Based Learning model is more effective than the students' conceptual understanding skills in the applying conventional learning model in Basic Programming Subject at SMKN 2 Gowa. Based on the aforementioned results, it can be concluded that the application of the Project Based Learning model is effective and can increase students' motivation and conceptual understanding skills in Basic Programming subject at SMKN 2 Gowa.

Abstract

Indoor air pollution is a leading cause of respiratory illnesses in infants and children, potentially resulting in severe health outcomes, including death. Common sources include dust, cigarette smoke, cleaning chemicals, and hazardous gases such as carbon monoxide (CO) and nitrogen dioxide (NO₂), particularly in enclosed, air-conditioned (AC) environments. Due to the difficulty of detecting pollutants like fine particulate matter (PM2.5) and CO, an effective, real-time monitoring solution is crucial. This study aims to design and develop an Internet of Things (IoT)-based device capable of monitoring PM2.5, CO, temperature, and humidity, specifically in infant rooms. The system integrates an ESP32 microcontroller with DSM501a, MQ-7, and DHT22 sensors and features automated alerts via a Telegram bot when pollutant levels exceed predefined thresholds. The device was evaluated through a comparative 24/7 testing method over seven days against commercially available standard instruments. Results show a relative error of 25% for PM2.5, 30% for CO, and significantly lower errors for temperature (2%) and humidity (0%). Sensor data is processed and transmitted to the Thingspeak server for real-time graphical monitoring. The Telegram alert feature demonstrated an average response time of 1.84 seconds across 20 tests. The findings suggest that the proposed device offers a viable, accessible, and responsive solution for indoor pollutant detection, contributing to improved air quality monitoring and early warning systems to protect vulnerable populations, especially infants.
