Abstract

This research analyses the education of ulama cadres at the Muhammadiyah Islamic Boarding School, Karangasem Paciran Lamongan. This research uses a qualitative descriptive method with a case study approach. The techniques used in collecting data were observation, interviews, and documentation. Checking the validity of the data by triangulating sources and methods. Meanwhile, data analysis includes condensation, presentation, verification, and conclusion. The results of the research concluded: First, the concept of Ulama in Muhammadiyah Islamic boarding schools is to have professional competence, personal competence, social competence, and spiritual competence. Second, the strategy used by Islamic boarding schools to carry out education for ulama cadres is (a) education and training carried out in formal education and Islamic madrasas; (b) encouragement to memorize the Qur'an; (c) familiarization with students' activities; (d) field practice for preaching in the community. There are two variants in the education of ulama cadres, namely genetic and social theory (3). The educational implications of Muhammadiyah Islamic boarding school ulama cadres are (a) the existence of beneficial community service activities through da'wah weeks and field da'wah service; (b) there is an increase in the Islamic boarding school's clerical competence; (c) there is high satisfaction and trust in the community towards graduates of the two Islamic boarding schools, making it easier for graduates to play an active role in empowering the community, especially in the religious sector.

Abstract

Adapun rumusan masalah dalam penelitian ini adalah, apa itu kriteria kebenaran ilmu pendidikan dan perkembangan dalam pandangan ilmu filsafat dalam kajian literature. Tujuan penelitian yaitu menganalisis kriteria kebenaran ilmu pendidikan dan perkembangan dalam pandangan ilmu filsafat. Metode penelitian dengan mengkaji berbagai sumber literature yang sesuai. menggunakan metode studi kepustakaan (library research). Teknik ini dilakukan untuk mengumpulkan data dari terkait permasalahan yang dibahas dari berbagai sumber literatur, baik buku, jurnal ilmiah, maupun artikel yang relevan dengan topik yang dibahas. Informasi yang didapat dari berbagai sumber tersebut akan dikaji untuk memahami kriteria kebenaran ilmu pendidikan dan perkembangan. Hasil penelitian filsafat pendidikan, kebenaran seringkali dikaitkan dengan konsep korespondensi, koherensi, pragmatisme, dan religius. Kriteria kebenaran dalam ilmu pendidikan, oleh karena itu, tidak hanya melihat dari satu sudut pandang saja. Ini adalah gabungan dari berbagai pendekatan tersebut. Sebagai contoh, kebenaran empiris mengacu pada data dan bukti yang dapat diamati secara langsung dalam praktik pendidikan. Sementara itu, kebenaran pragmatis berkaitan dengan seberapa efektif penerapan teori tersebut dalam meningkatkan kualitas pendidikan. Refleksi atas perkembangan  filsafat ilmu pendidikan menunjukkan bahwa pendekatan terhadap kebenaran dan pengetahuan terus berkembang. Ini mencerminkan pemahaman bahwa ilmu pendidikan adalah disiplin dinamis yang terus menerus beradaptasi dengan perubahan sosial, teknologi, dan kebutuhan manusia. Dengan demikian, dalam memahami ilmu pendidikan, penting bagi kita untuk terus kritis dan reflektif terhadap asumsi yang kita pegang, metode yang kita gunakan, serta implikasi praktis dari teori-teori pendidikan yang kita kembangkan

Abstract

The concept of Rahmatan lil Alamin suggests that Islamic education can serve as a vehicle to improve human relations with nature, promote peace within society, and encourage sustainable spiritual and material development. This study aims to confirm the relevance of applying the concept of Rahmatan lil Alamin with a holistic approach at Madrasah Aliyah Muhammadiyah 01 Tegalombo. The research questions are formulated as follows: How does the integration of Rahmatan lil Alamin with holistic concepts manifest in the curriculum at Madrasah Muhammadiyah 01 Tegalombo? What are the implementation strategies for integrating Rahmatan lil Alamin with holistic concepts at Madrasah Muhammadiyah 01 Tegalombo? This qualitative research employs a case study approach. The findings reveal that Madrasah Aliyah Muhammadiyah 01 Tegalombo has successfully created an educational environment that is not only academic but also ethical and cultural. Their vision to produce academically and morally intelligent generations capable of being a mercy to all creation is reflected in their efforts to integrate Islamic values into the educational culture.

Abstract

This research focuses on the formation of students' religious character in the midst of globalization and technological advancement, which affects the behavior and moral values of the younger generation. The Pancasila Student Profile Strengthening Project is one of the government's efforts to instill students' religious values that are in line with Pancasila. This study uses a qualitative approach with a case study at SMA Negeri 1 Nubatukan. Data was collected through documentation of related programs, interviews with teachers, students, and principals, and observations. The analysis process was carried out descriptively with the aim of explaining how the concepts, implementation, and impact of this project were carried out and their influence on the formation of students' religious character. The results of the study show that the program can improve students' understanding of Pancasila religious values while maintaining the diversity of religions and beliefs of students at Nubatukan State High School. These changes show that students are developing academically and emotionally as well as socially. However, there are several problems that arise today, such as lack of parental involvement, limited resources, limited time, mismatch of interests and characteristics of students, and rapid curriculum changes. This research finds that through the Pancasila Student Profile Strengthening Project, schools, parents, and the community must work together to support the development of religious character. In addition, it is necessary to improve facilities and teacher training related to this program so that character development is more sustainable and effective.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the application of theological approach in Islamic Religious Education (PAI) materials in Indonesia. The application of theology in PAI curriculum still tends to be limited to normative and ritualistic aspects, while the philosophical and reflective aspects of Islamic teachings are often neglected. Using a descriptive qualitative approach, this study analyzed curriculum documents, syllabi, and PAI textbooks used at the junior high school (SMP) and senior high school (SMA) levels. The results showed that PAI materials focus more on teaching memorization and the performance of worship without exploring the deep meaning of Islamic theological concepts such as tawhid, treatise, shariat, morals, and fiqh. The study also identified challenges in implementing the theological approach, including teachers' lack of understanding of Islamic theology and time constraints in the curriculum. Based on these findings, the study recommends the development of a more integrated curriculum, more in-depth teacher training and the application of more interactive learning methods to enable students to understand Islamic teachings critically and applicatively. This research is expected to contribute to improving the quality of Islamic religious education that is more in-depth and relevant to the challenges of the times

Abstract

This study aims to examine spirituality as a paradigm of peace education. This research presents solutions to various problems of Muslims in Indonesia today, especially the problem of the dry dimension of spirituality in their religion. The type of research used is library research. This research obtains information data by placing existing facilities in the library such as books, magazines, documents, records of historical stories or pure literature research related to the object of research. The results of this study explain that spirituality is the solution to achieving peace education. Spirituality is not a heresy in religion, but the spirit of religion itself. Religion is accompanied by an appreciation of spirituality that will get the essence of religion in the form of love for God and others. To approach the Khalik and also with his fellow beings, it is not enough just to go through the formalities. A spiritual approach full of values of love and compassion, ikhlas and ridlo will be more effective in arriving at justice and the Creator. On that basis, it is necessary to review the position and role of religion in human life.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis integrasi antara sistem pendidikan Madrasah Ibtidaiyah (MI) dan pendidikan umum dalam konteks sistem pendidikan nasional di Indonesia. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode penelitian kepustakaan (library research), yaitu metode yang memanfaatkan berbagai sumber literatur untuk mengumpulkan data dan informasi yang relevan dengan topik yang diteliti. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukan integrasi sistem pendidikan Madrasah Ibtidaiyah (MI) dengan pendidikan umum dapat mendukung tercapainya tujuan sistem pendidikan nasional, sebab sistem pendidikan Islam dan sistem pendidikan umum tidak bisa dipisahkan karena dua sistem ini memang saling berhubungan, oleh karenanya sistem pendidikan Islam pada Madrasah Ibtidaiyah dan sistem pendidikan umum harus terkoneksi secara kodifikatif supaya terciptanya sistem pendidikan yang saling melengkapi dan saling menyempurnakan guna menjadikan pendidikan di Indonesia yang lebih bermutu tanpa mandang bulu dalam konteks ilmu. Pasalnya, perhari ini pendidikan itu malah mendikotomikan keilmuan, yakni membeda-bedakan antara pendidikan Islam yang notabenenya ilmu agama dan pendidikan umum yang notabenenya ilmu dunia. Padahal pendidikan itu sangat penting adanya keseimbangan untuk mencapai pendidikan yang mencerdaskan kehidupan bangsa dan mewujudkan akhlak yang mulia dengan mengembangkan potensi peserta didik perlu adanya proses dialektika antara pendidikan Islam dan pendidikan umum sehingga output daripada proses dialektika tersebut berimplikasi terhadap sosok manusia yang berintelektual dan bermoral, agamis dan nasionalis, ideologis dan spiritualis.

Abstract

Studi ini menyelidiki filosofi pendidikan dari dua era penting dalam sejarah: Yunani Kuno dan Zaman Keemasan Islam. Dengan memeriksa prinsip-prinsip dan praktik-praktik dasar pendidikan selama periode ini, penelitian ini menyoroti pengaruh yang bertahan lama dari para filsuf Yunani seperti Socrates, Plato, dan Aristoteles, bersama dengan kontribusi para cendekiawan Islam seperti Al-Farabi, Ibnu Sina, dan Al-Ghazali. Analisis ini mengungkapkan bagaimana pendidikan Yunani Kuno menekankan pemikiran kritis, dialog, dan pencarian kebajikan, sementara Zaman Keemasan Islam mendorong sintesis pengetahuan, mengintegrasikan filosofi Yunani dengan ajaran Islam dan memajukan bidang seperti matematika, kedokteran, dan astronomi. Eksplorasi komparatif ini menyoroti keterkaitan pemikiran manusia dan pencarian pengetahuan yang sama di berbagai budaya dan zaman. Melalui penyelidikan ini, studi ini bertujuan untuk memberikan wawasan tentang akar historis dari filosofi pendidikan dan relevansinya terhadap praktik pendidikan kontemporer.

Abstract

This research aims to explore educational paradigms through various ideological lenses, namely fundamentalist, modernist and liberal, in the context of finding the influence between education and the three ideologies of fundamentalist, liberalism and modernism. In achieving this goal, this research adopts a qualitative approach to understand how each ideological view contributes to the development of holistic and inclusive education. By focusing on the discourse between maintaining traditional values in education and encouraging innovation to adapt to current and future needs, this research offers a comprehensive perspective on how educational institutions can embrace these aspects to create a dynamic and relevant learning ecosystem. It is hoped that the research results will provide insight for policy makers, educational practitioners and other stakeholders in formulating educational strategies that combine harmonization between respect for cultural heritage and the application of innovative approaches that encourage students' creativity and critical skills.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan mengeksplorasi integrasi nilai-nilai etika dan keterikatan sosial dalam pendidikan holistik. Menggunakan metode kualitatif, penelitian ini mengumpulkan data melalui studi literature, wawancara, observasi, dan analisis dokumen. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa integrasi etika pendidikan dan keterikatan sosial secara signifikan berkontribusi pada pengembangan karakter siswa, meningkatkan empati, toleransi, dan tanggung jawab sosial mereka. Lingkungan pembelajaran yang mendukung dan budaya sekolah yang inklusif memainkan peran penting dalam keberhasilan implementasi. Praktik-praktik seperti pembelajaran berbasis proyek, kurikulum multikultural, dan kolaborasi komunitas terbukti efektif dalam menanamkan nilai-nilai tersebut. Temuan ini mengindikasikan bahwa pendekatan holistik yang menghubungkan etika pendidikan dan keterikatan sosial tidak hanya memperkaya pengalaman belajar siswa, tetapi juga mempersiapkan mereka untuk menjadi warga dunia yang bertanggung jawab dan berempati. Rekomendasi untuk pengembangan lebih lanjut mencakup peningkatan pelatihan guru, penguatan kolaborasi antara sekolah dan komunitas, serta evaluasi berkelanjutan untuk memastikan efektivitas program. Dengan demikian, penelitian ini memberikan wawasan berharga tentang pentingnya integrasi etika dan keterikatan sosial dalam pembelajaran holistik untuk membentuk generasi yang lebih baik dan berdaya saing global.Kata kunci: Empati, Etika Pendidikan, Pengembangan Karakter, Toleransi.
