Abstract

The Merdeka Curriculum at SMPIT Insan Madani represents a strategic innovation in Islamic Religious Education (PAI) to address contemporary educational challenges. This curriculum emphasizes student autonomy, differentiated instruction, and the integration of technology, aiming to reinforce Islamic values while aligning religious teachings with Islamic philosophy. Utilizing a qualitative methodology, this study collects data through observation, interviews, and documentation. The data analysis involves filtering relevant information, aligning it with theoretical frameworks, and evaluating educators' roles in PAI instruction. The implementation of PAI learning innovation follows a differentiated approach consisting of three key components: content, process, and product. Content differentiation involves assigning varied learning materials and tasks tailored to students’ comprehension levels. For example, students grouped based on their understanding receive different assignments to better suit their needs. Process differentiation allows teachers to assess students’ proficiency and adapt instructional methods accordingly. In the context of prayer lessons, students who face difficulties in reading are given corrective guidance, while those more advanced engage directly in practice activities. Product differentiation empowers students to demonstrate their understanding through creative outputs such as summaries or PowerPoint presentations, submitted independently to the teacher. This innovative approach reflects a personalized and transformative learning experience, ensuring that each student receives education suited to their individual abilities. The method aligns with the core principles of the Merdeka Curriculum by fostering autonomy, spiritual growth, and academic excellence. Overall, the differentiated PAI learning model at SMPIT Insan Madani serves as a practical response to students' diverse learning needs, equipping them with balanced spiritual and intellectual competencies relevant to the digital era and the demands of 21st-century education.

Abstract

This study examines the integration of Total Quality Management (TQM) and Islamic spiritual values in educational quality management. The study aims to develop a conceptual model of Islamic TQM as a holistic quality management framework for Islamic educational institutions. A qualitative approach with a library research design was employed. Data were collected from reputable journal articles, academic books, and scientific publications related to TQM, spiritual leadership, Islamic quality management, and Islamic education management. The data were analyzed using thematic analysis through four stages: data extraction, open coding, axial coding, and selective coding. The findings reveal four major themes: (1) the dominance of a technocratic TQM paradigm focused on efficiency and standardization; (2) spirituality as an internal dimension that enhances organizational commitment and performance; (3) Islamic values such as tauhid, amanah, ihsan, and itqan as normative foundations of quality management; and (4) the integration of TQM principles and Islamic values into a holistic management model. The study concludes that the proposed Islamic TQM model provides a more comprehensive framework by combining managerial effectiveness, moral responsibility, and spiritual orientation. This model is relevant for madrasah, pesantren, and Islamic higher education institutions in responding to contemporary educational challenges.

Abstract

This research was motivated by students' low reading ability and interest in Indonesian language learning. The objective was to determine the effect of the read-aloud method on the reading ability and interest of third-grade students at the UPTD SDN 1 Kedokanbunder. This study used an experimental method with a pretest-posttest control group design. The sample was randomly selected: class III A as the experimental class and class III B as the control class, each consisting of 30 students. Data were collected through a reading test and a reading interest questionnaire, then analyzed using an independent sample t-test. The results showed that the read-aloud method significantly improved reading ability (sig. = 0.000 < 0.05), but had little effect on students' reading interest (sig. = 0.934 > 0.05). Thus, the read-aloud method is effective in improving reading ability, but not sufficient to increase students' reading interest.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the strategy of community economic empowerment through the management of a Healthy Canteen at the Darul Ihsan Muhammadiyah Islamic Boarding School (Pondok Pesantren) in Sragen. The study uses a qualitative approach with the Participatory Action Research (PAR) method, involving the community as active subjects in the entire research cycle. The mentoring shows that the community has economic potential in the form of local raw materials and cooking skills that have not been optimally utilized. The Collaborative Trilogy Model of Boarding School-Community-Students was developed by integrating the Asset-Based Community Development (ABCD) approach with the principles of a circular economy. This model successfully created a local value chain: farmers as suppliers, housewives as processors, and students as the main consumers. The management of the Healthy Canteen is an effective and sustainable empowerment strategy. This model can be applied to other Islamic boarding schools with contextual adjustments, serving as a blueprint for economic empowerment based on religious institutions that integrates Islamic values, local wisdom, and social business principles.
