This research aims to determine the supporting factors and inhibiting factors for School Literacy Movement program activities in fostering students' interest in reading in South Sumatra. The research method used is a qualitative method using a phenomenological design approach which is used on multiple sites in three schools, namely IBA Elementary School of Palembang, 1 State Elementary School of Indralaya and 3 Elementary School of Kayuagung. The results of this research show that the supporting factors in the School Literacy Movement program at three schools in fostering students' interest in reading in class IV are: A complete library; Cozy Reading Corner; Interesting wall material; Attractive Reading Park and School Literacy Cart; Clear Identity Board; Literacy Tree; beautiful school gardens; Involvement of parents and the public; creative School Literacy Movement Team; School Garden; Training and Study Tour ; and an attractive Reading Campaign Poster. Factors that become obstacles in implementing the School Literacy Movement program in the three schools in fostering students' interest in reading in class IV. Students are lazy about studying; Students are not used to reading; Library management is not yet supported by officers who have librarian qualifications and parent collaboration is not good. Based on this, it can be concluded that fostering interest in reading in elementary school students in South Sumatra is influenced by both supporting and inhibiting factors.

This study aims to develop a science-based digital encyclopedia as a teaching material intended for fourth-grade students at SDN 159 Palembang. The background of this research is the lack of engaging, interactive, and student-centered teaching materials that meet the needs of students in understanding IPAS content, especially the theme of human sensory organs. Therefore, the development of this teaching material is expected to support the learning process at SDN 159 Palembang to become more effective. This research uses the Research and Development (R&D) method with the ADDIE model, which includes five stages: Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, and Evaluation. At the analysis stage, observations and interviews with educators were conducted to identify learning needs. The findings revealed that the learning process remained conventional and lacked the use of digital media. Consequently, a digital encyclopedia was developed based on the learning achievements of the Merdeka Curriculum. This product is presented in a digital format containing content material, attractive illustrations, and interactive features that support learning. Validation by subject matter experts, language experts, and media experts showed that this encyclopedia is highly valid with an average score of 96.3%. Practicality testing also showed very positive responses, with scores of 96% from educators and 83% from students.

Bananas are the most widely produced fruit in Indonesia, which is around 9.69 million tons in 2024. With this amount of data, bananas have quite promising economic value. The production of large quantities of bananas according to the previous data needs to be carried out a rapid distribution process, because the time the bananas after harvesting may only last about 5 to 7 days in normal temperatures before the fruit rotting process will finally occur. For this reason, it is necessary to carry out a quick banana classification process, the process is carried out automatically using a machine. This study elaborates on the capabilities of the CNN algorithm in the classification of bananas. Dataset was taken from Keagle's open source as many as 3000 image data. In their classification, researchers divided bananas into three levels of fruit ripeness, namely raw, ripe, and overripe. The study used a CNN model consisting of several layers consisting of a 2D convolutional layer (Conv2D), a 2D pooling layer (MaxPooling2D), a flatten layer, a fully connected layer (Dense), and a Dropout layer. After the model creation process is complete, the model will be tested for accuracy with the Confusion matrix method. In the 3rd experiment the model produced the highest level of accuracy in its trials, with 300 test images resulting in 290 correctly predicted images so that the accuracy reached 97%. From the results of deploying using the website interface using flask, it was found that the classification had an accuracy of above 95% so it was good enough to be used as a prototype for classification engine applications.

This study aims to analyze parking characteristics and their impact on traffic performance on street HOS Cokroaminoto, Kisaran, Asahan Regency. This location is an area with quite high trade and culinary activities, so that the roadway is often used as a parking area. The problem that arises is the reduction in the effective width of the road which impacts the smooth flow of traffic. The research method used is a field survey approach by conducting direct observation of parking activities at three research locations. Data collected include the volume of vehicles entering and exiting, parking duration, parking accumulation, and parking turnover rate. The analysis was conducted using the guidelines of the Directorate General of Land Transportation (1996) and the Regulation of the Minister of Transportation Number 34 of 2014 concerning parking management. The results of the study indicate that parking activities on Jalan HOS Cokroaminoto have not been optimally organized. The parking patterns used are mostly perpendicular (90°) for motorcycles and parallel for cars. The parking turnover rate is relatively low, indicating inefficient vehicle turnover and causing limited parking space. Based on the analysis, it can be concluded that parking activity on street HOS Cokroaminoto has reduced road capacity and reduced traffic flow

This study aims to evaluate the geometric conditions and level of service (Level of Service/LOS) of sidewalks on Jalan Madong Lubis, Kisaran Timur District, Asahan Regency. Sidewalks are important facilities for pedestrians that function to provide safety, comfort, and smooth mobility. However, in the research area, sidewalks face various obstacles such as street vendors (PKL), illegal parking, and utilities that reduce their main function. The research method uses a descriptive quantitative approach with primary data collection through direct observation of sidewalk conditions and counting the number of pedestrians on several road segments for six days. Secondary data includes regulations and technical standards from the Minister of Public Works Regulation No. 03/PRT/M/2014 and the Indonesian Road Capacity Manual (MKJI) 1997. The analysis results show that the width of the sidewalk on Jalan Madong Lubis is only 1.3 meters, below the minimum standard of 1.5 meters. The level of service of sidewalks on segments A, B, and C is in category B to C, while segment D experienced a drastic decrease to LOS F because almost all of the sidewalk space is covered by street vendors. Physical obstacles and damaged surfaces contribute to reduced user comfort and safety. Recommendations are provided to improve the physical condition of sidewalks, regulate street vendor activity, and provide supporting facilities to enhance sidewalk service levels as safe and comfortable pedestrian spaces

Social justice remains a central concern in today’s global context, marked by persistent structural inequalities, imbalanced power relations, and the ongoing marginalization of vulnerable communities. Within Qur’anic studies, addressing this issue requires an interpretive framework that moves beyond purely normative or legalistic readings, toward an approach that engages the social and ethical dimensions embedded in the text. This article examines how the Qur’an’s narrative descriptions shape an understanding of social justice values and explores the ways in which these values can be meaningfully contextualized within contemporary social realities. Employing a qualitative descriptive method through library research and narrative analysis, this study focuses on Qur’anic verses that articulate themes of social justice. The findings reveal that the Qur’an’s narrative structure articulates social relationships, critiques systemic injustice, and emphasizes collective moral responsibility in a manner that transcends historical boundaries. When related to modern issues such as economic disparity, exploitation, and systemic oppression, these values demonstrate strong reflective and transformative potential. Consequently, this study contributes to the development of narrative-based approaches in Qur’anic scholarship and proposes a more accessible and contextually relevant model for interpreting verses on social justice in modern social discourse

This service aims to socialize the application of Talent Management in the Tanah Grogot District Office, Paser Regency. This service method is qualitative. The results of this service include several stages. The talent identification stage is the initial stage that must be prepared and implemented in implementing talent management. This stage is a strategy for obtaining talent which is implemented through the critical job analysis stage. The second stage is talent placement and evaluation. The placement of talents into target positions is carried out based on a predetermined succession plan. This study aims to discuss the problems of democracy in Indonesia and then use Robert A. Dahl's thoughts and Islamic values in reconstructing Indonesian democracy. This study uses a philosophical-critical literature review approach to data collected through journals, books, and websites related to the discussion. The results of this study indicate that the Indonesian democracy index has decreased in recent years, Robert A. Dahl suggests the concept of polyarchy which includes ways to improve the democracy index as well as Islamic values. The conclusion in this study is that the democracy index can be improved by applying Robert A. Dahl's ideas and Islamic values, including Syuro, Al-'Adalah, and Al Musawah.

Learning the stories of Prophets and Messengers for early childhood requires engaging learning media so that Islamic values can be well understood. One of the media that can be utilized is Islamic animated video. This study aims to examine the implementation of Islamic animated video media in learning the stories of Prophets and Messengers for early childhood at RA Perwanida 2 Palembang. This research employed a qualitative approach with a descriptive method. Data collection techniques included observation, interviews, and documentation. The results indicate that the use of Islamic animated video media was implemented through several stages, namely lesson planning by preparing the Daily Lesson Plan (RPPH), learning implementation through the presentation of Islamic animated videos according to the learning theme, and learning evaluation through question-and-answer activities and observation of children’s responses. The use of this media was able to increase children’s learning interest, attention, and understanding of the stories of Prophets and Messengers. This study is motivated by the importance of early childhood education as the foundation for children’s cognitive, social-emotional, language, and physical development during the golden age period. A scientific approach is considered relevant in early childhood learning because it emphasizes observing, questioning, experimenting, reasoning, and communicating in constructing knowledge through direct experiences. However, its implementation in early childhood education institutions still faces several challenges, including limited facilities, an imbalance between the number of teachers and students, and varying levels of teachers’ understanding of the approach. This research aims to analyze the implementation of the scientific approach in early childhood learning at PAUD Amrina Sungai Pinang and to identify its supporting and inhibiting factors. The study employed a qualitative descriptive method. Data were collected through observation, interviews, and documentation, and analyzed through data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing. The findings reveal that the scientific approach has been implemented through exploratory activities such as observation, simple experiments, discussions, and presentations, although it has not yet been fully optimized. Supporting factors include teachers’ commitment and institutional support, while inhibiting factors involve limited facilities, time constraints, and the limited number of educators. Efforts to overcome these challenges include utilizing the surrounding environment as a learning resource and enhancing teachers’ creativity in designing learning activities. The study concludes that the scientific approach has significant potential to improve the quality of early childhood learning when supported by adequate teacher competence and facilities.
