Abstract

This study aims to investigate techno-linguistic decoding errors in Arabic writing assessments within the Alikhtibar Learning Management System (LMS). The integration of technology in Arabic Language Teaching (ALT) has transformed learning and assessment processes by enhancing student engagement and enabling adaptive evaluation. However, assessing Arabic writing proficiency remains challenging due to the language’s complex grammatical system, especially in digital environments. Employing a qualitative descriptive approach, this research analyzed 46 student-produced texts to identify common error types and their pedagogical implications. The findings revealed that preposition misuse was the most frequent error (30 instances), followed by noun agreement errors (19), verb conjugation errors (15), and redundancy (12). These results emphasize the need for context-sensitive assessment tools and targeted instructional strategies. This study is novel in focusing on decoding errors within a practical Arabic LMS platform and in integrating linguistic theory with digital error analysis. It offers valuable insights for evaluating Arabic writing proficiency in the digital era and contributes to the advancement of intelligent, adaptive feedback systems for Arabic language education, with potential applications in instructional design, curriculum development, and NLP-based assessment tools.

Abstract

The incidence of metabolic disorders in women of childbearing age in Indonesia, especially those related to blood sugar levels, cholesterol levels, and uric acid levels, continues to increase. Therefore, it is necessary to identify several causal factors. This study aimed to determine the variables related to blood sugar, cholesterol, and uric acid levels. The types of research were observational, analytic, and cross-sectional. The study population consisted of female Tulungagung employees in the Health Office, with purposive sampling obtained 41 respondents. Inclusion criteria: aged 19-49 years, participating in Posbindu activities held at the Health Office in November 2024. This study was conducted at the Tulungagung Regency Health Office in November 2024. Data was collected by measuring height, weight, waist circumference, blood sugar, uric acid, and cholesterol levels, using a microtoise, weight scales, metline, and Easy Touch GCU. Data were analyzed using multiple linear regression testsThe result this study, age had been shown to have an effect on blood sugar levels, and both body mass index (BMI) and excess body weight have been shown to increase uric acid levels. Abstract

One of the visions of the University of Darussalam Gontor is to become a center for the language of the Qur'an. An online Arabic language test is conducted to measure its students' Arabic proficiency. This study aims to analyze the difficulty level of the online Arabic language test at the University of Darussalam Gontor based on Bloom's Cognitive Taxonomy. The research employs a descriptive quantitative method. The data was collected from students' test scores, which cover three language skills: reading (qira'ah), listening (istima'), and writing (kitabah). The sample was randomly selected, comprising 135 students for the writing test, 127 for the listening test, and 129 for the reading test. The results indicate that the difficulty level of the questions based on students' test results for the reading skill shows that 10% of the questions were classified as difficult, 42% as middle, and 48% as easy. For the listening skill, 17% of the questions were classified as difficult, 44% as middle, and 39% as easy. There were no difficult questions in the writing skill, with 83% being middle and 17% easy. Regarding the cognitive domains of Bloom's taxonomy, 21% of the questions in reading test (qiraah) were categorized as HOTS, 52% as MOTS, and 17% as LOTS. Abstract

This study investigates the effectiveness of 3D First-Person Shooter (FPS) gamification on Arabic learning for Integrated Islamic elementary school (SDIT) students. The primary goal is to assess how this interactive learning medium improves students' Arabic language proficiency and to evaluate the satisfaction levels of both students and teachers. Utilizing a mixed-methods approach, the research combines qualitative and quantitative data collection techniques. Pretest-posttest assessments are used to measure students' progress before and after engaging with the gamified media, while questionnaires capture satisfaction and feedback from participants. Results show a significant improvement in students' Arabic vocabulary, with average scores increasing from 74.1 in the pre-test to 89.2 in the post-test. A paired sample t-test confirmed the improvement as statistically significant (p < 0.001). The results of surveys showed high satisfaction levels, with students expressing motivation and enthusiasm for learning and teachers recognizing the game’s relevance and effectiveness in classroom settings. These findings suggest that 3D FPS-based gamification enhances Arabic language learning in Islamic elementary schools. The study recommends further exploration of gamification techniques in Arabic education at various academic levels.

Abstract

The relationship between adad (numbers) and madud (counted nouns) in Arabic is governed by complex and strict grammatical rules. Inaccuracies in applying these rules, such as gender agreement (masculine or feminine), numerical forms, and sentence structure (i‘rab), can affect meaning and communication accuracy, especially in formal or religious texts. Google Translate, as one of the most popular automated translation tools, faces significant challenges in handling grammatical structures like adad-madud. Its limitations lie in recognizing broader contexts and applying deep grammatical rules. This study aims to explore how Google Translate can improve translation accuracy in the context of adad-madud and understand the weaknesses that impact its translations. The research focuses on identifying errors, such as gender mismatches between numbers and nouns, incorrect numerical forms, and errors in sentence structure application. As an initial step, this study compares Google Translate's outputs with the grammatical rules established in Arabic. The research employs a qualitative descriptive method, using data collection techniques through translation trials. Various combinations of numbers and nouns in Arabic were input into Google Translate to analyze the results. The research results indicate that Google Translate still frequently makes errors in translating adad-madud, particularly in determining gender, numerical forms, and the grammatical position of adad and madud in the context of the sentence. This research addresses a gap in previous studies, which focused more on general, idiomatic, or religious text translations. By specifically examining adad-madud, this study provides new insights into the challenges and limitations of automated translation tools and offers recommendations for developing more accurate translation algorithms in the future.
