Abstract

Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengkaji bagaimana paradigma pembelajaran PBL (Problem-based learning) yang didukung dengan mind mapping dapat meningkatkan hasil pembelajaran. Kajian ini termasuk dalam kajian pustaka dan merupakan komponen dari kajian kualitatif (kajian pustaka). Penelitian perpustakaan adalah studi yang mengacu pada studi teoritis untuk mengumpulkan informasi dan data menggunakan berbagai sumber perpustakaan, termasuk buku, makalah, jurnal, dan banyak lagi. Analisis ini didasarkan pada tinjauan publikasi yang diterbitkan antara tahun 2014 dan 2021. Data ini dikumpulkan dengan menggunakan pendekatan yang digunakan dalam tinjauan literatur, termasuk membaca (membaca teks), meninjau, mempelajari, dan merekam literatur tentang dampak pemetaan pikiran berbantuan. Model pembelajaran PBL terhadap hasil belajar siswa. Studi berbagai publikasi mengungkapkan bahwa pendekatan PBL berbantuan mind mapping berdampak pada hasil belajar siswa dalam biologi kognitif.

Abstract

Affective is one of the competencies that must be measured as part of successful learning. The achievement of this competency is influenced by several factors, such as the use of learning models and media. This study tries to reveal the effect of the STAD model assisted by audio-visual media on the attitude competence of students in science subjects in class VII junior high school. The method used is quasi experiment with purposive sampling. Data were collected through observation sheets and analysed using the Mann-Whitney U Test. The results revealed that learning in the experimental class showed better affective than the control class. So, it is concluded that the STAD model assisted by audio-visual media has a significant effect on the affective competence of students in science subjects.

Abstract

Media pembelajaran berperan penting sebagai alat penunjang dalam pelaksanaan proses pembelajaran. Dalam kegiatan pembelajaran terdapat beberapa materi yang sulit dipahami oleh peserta didik, sehingga dibutuhkan media pembelajaran yang dapat memudahkan peserta didik untuk memahami materi pembelajaran. Pemilihan media pembelajaran yang tepat dan menarik dapat meningkatkan motivasi belajar dan pemahaman peserta didik. Booklet merupakan salah satu media pembelajaran yang berisikan informasi terkait topik tertentu dilengkapi dengan ilustrasi yang sesuai, sehingga dapat dijadikan suplemen bahan ajar untuk peserta didik. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui tingkat validitas media booklet pada pembelajaran biologi SMA/MA. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode deskriptif dalam bentuk meta-analisis. Pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan menganalisis jurnal-jurnal yang terkait dengan booklet. Sampel penelitian terdiri atas 20 jurnal terkait pengembangan booklet. Hasil meta-analisis penelitian untuk validitas media booklet didapatkan sebesar 90,03% dengan kategori sangat valid. Berdasarkan hasil meta-analisis penelitian ini, diharapkan validitas booklet pada pembelajaran biologi SMA/MA diperoleh kriteria sangat valid.

Abstract

This research focused on developing cooperative learning materials for biology of animal growth. This research therefore aimed designing teaching instructional, testing validity and testing practicality of the implementation of the materials upon the topic of animal growth in biology. This research employed research and development design. The first phase dealt with reconstruction or designing learning materials and the instrument that were used in cooperative learning. Next, testing instrument validity was done by expert. In the last phase, limited try out was conducted to figure out the practicality. The findings showed that learning materials and the supporting instruments were valid. Such learning materials included syllabus, lesson plans, students’ lab sheets, concept map manual and students’ achievement evaluation sheet. Implementation practicality was assessed from the cooperative learning process and students’ responses. The findings showed that the learning process was suitable with prepared syllabus and lesson plans, and students’ responses toward learning process was in good category.Kata kunci:    pembelajaran kooperatif, perangkat, instrumen, biologi perkembangan hewan

Abstract

Preliminarily, it was found that there are some problems faced by teachers in teaching and learning process. The problems are the teachers still implement classical rather than cooperative learning. Moreover, it is hard for them to make students active in the classroom, especially in asking questions and delivering ideas or opinions. Furthermore, it is also hard for them to develop students' curiosity in learning process. To overcome these problems, one solution which can be used is implementation of example non example method. The purpose of the research was to know the effect of example non example method on students' competence. It was a quasi experimental research. It was done in SMPN 18 Padang to VII grade students. Purposive sampling technique was used to take samples. The data were obteined through observation sheets for psychomotor competence. The technique of data analysis used Mann-Whitney U-Test in assistance of SPSS software. The findings show that the example non example method has significant effect on students' psychomotor competence.

Abstract

Communication skills need to be improved during learning. However, the learning process in schools has not fully implemented learning models that can improve students' communication skills. Learning in schools is still teacher-centered, lack of use of Information Technology (IT), students’ inactivity, and their lack of interest in learning in class. The solution is to apply the PBL learning model in IT interventions. The research objective was to develop students' communication skills. The instrument used is was a rubric to assess communication that had been validated by experts. The research design was Randomized Control Group Posttest Only Design. This type of research is a quasi-experimental. The data were analyzed by using  the two-way ANOVA test. The results showed that there was a significant difference between the PBL learning model and the information technology intervention on the communication skills of students with an average score of 64.27% in the experimental class and 57.70% in the control class and a significant value of 0.00

Abstract

The report is a part of developing integrative learning model (MPI) on the biology of animal development. The research objective was to determine the needs analysis of developing MPI on the biology of animal development at STAIN Batusangkar. The research use Plomp model. The data obtained will be analyzed by data reduction, data presentation and drawing conclusions. The result showed that philosophy of STAIN Batusangkar is an integration. Analysis of the characteristics of students showed that students of STAIN Batusangkar has a heterogeneous background of the aspects of capability. These results are based on the findings of the Academic Performance Index, schools and majors while undergoing studies in high school, the course pre-condition and the results of multiple intelegencie test. Developmental of biology material is characterized by the facts, concepts, principles and theories. In conclusion, the research is a part of activity that supports of developing MPI on the biology of animal development at STAIN Batusangkar.Kata kunci:    analisis karakteristik, model pembelajaran integratif, biologi perkembangan hewan

Abstract

This study was aimed at improving the quality of learning process of Strategi Pembelajaran Biologi subject and in turn teachers with good pedagogic competence and teaching skill can be realized. Learning syntax that was carried out in this subject was: (1) course orientation and pretest administration, (2) learning process employing multi-strategy (concept approach, modeling and drilling method), (3) explanation and lesson plan design exercise, and peer teaching practices based on the lesson plan. The lesson plans were assessed by using IPKG-1 and teaching practices were assessed by IPKG-2, and (4) posttest was assessed IPKG-2 to figure out the improvement on the students teaching skill. The findings showed that there was significant improvement upon the students teaching skill in teaching practices by using multi-strategy.Kata kunci:   skill mengajar, mahasiswa calon guru, multy strategy

Abstract

Constructivism in learning is a philosophy that holds where the process of forming knowledge in individuals is the result of mental activity supported by the process of learning experience. Many studies have been conducted on the effect of constructivism theory on learning outcomes, but few have quantifies the effect so that it can be analyzed qualitatively. Therefore,  the purpose of this research was to quantify the effect size of the relationship between constructivism theory and student learning outcomes using meta-analytic research and data analysis techniques with openMEE software. Data was collected from Scopus and Google Scholar for 17 articles published in 2019 till 2022. Based on the analysis, In terms of the effectiveness of constructivism learning theory, an estimated data of 1.548 is obtained which indicates that constructivist theory has great effectiveness in improving student learning outcomes. In addition, the effect size measurement at the primary and secondary levels of education indicates that the student is in high category. This explains why constructivism learning is very well implemented because children at this level are already able to be encouraged to construct their own knowledge which influences their learning outcomes.

Abstract

Developing students' abilities in science is one of the successful means of increasing their ability to adapt to changing times and enter the world of science, environment, technology, and social life. This study aims to analyze the application of the SETS vision of a constructivist approach to science learning in Class X SMA Negeri 3 Pematang Siantar . SETS (science, environment, technology and society) insightful learning that connects and links the theory learned with its application in the form of technology, its impact on society and the environment as well as social is a form of business that has real and contextual characteristics . This research is a quantitative study with a quasi-experimental method with nonequivalent control group design. The research sample was determined by purposive sampling technique which was divided into 2 classes, namely the experimental class and the control class. The data analysis technique used is the independent sample t-test. The results of the study found that the use of animated video-based learning media was very effective in applying to the physics learning process in terms of the posttest questions and the gain test scores also increased by 0.71 in the experimental class and 0.57 in the control class which was included in the medium category. So it can be concluded that the constructivism learning model is effective in improving physics learning outcomes.
