Abstract

Higher Order Thinking Skills (HOTS) are essential competencies in mathematics learning as they enable students to analyze, evaluate, and solve problems logically and systematically. This study aimed to develop a Kurikulum Merdeka–based Matchamatika E-Module on the topic of Three-Variable Linear Equation Systems (TVLES) to support the enhancement of students’ HOTS. The development process followed the ADDIE model, consisting of analysis, design, development, implementation, and evaluation stages. Abstract

Research on mathematics self-efficacy in Indonesia has been widely conducted; however, studies that specifically examine the quality of instruments through rigorous parameter testing remain limited. This study aims to identify valid and reliable items of a mathematics self-efficacy instrument for junior high school students using the Rasch model. The participants consisted of 401 junior high school students from various public and private schools in Serang City, selected using a multistage random sampling technique. Data analysis was conducted using the Rasch model with the Rating Scale Model (RSM) approach, supported by JMetrik software. The results showed that out of 37 analyzed items, 32 items were found to be valid and fit the Rasch model, while 5 items were eliminated due to misfit. The 1–4 rating scale functioned optimally with no indication of category disordering. The reliability indices were classified as very high, both for items (0.99) and persons (0.85), indicating good measurement consistency. Furthermore, the instrument demonstrated a good ability to differentiate students’ levels of mathematics self-efficacy, particularly in the low to moderate range. Therefore, the 32-item mathematics self-efficacy instrument is considered appropriate for effectively and objectively measuring junior high school students’ confidence in learning mathematics.

Abstract

availability through the role it's government, so it can maintain the welfare of it's people. The government is free to determine the state’s income policy, which must be fair and not violate sharia. Among the state income policies in Islam are zakat and jizya. Zakat is imposed on Muslims, while jizya is on non-Muslims. History records that both can influence the monetary economy in Muslim countries. Principally, these two are not the same. So, the reson for this research is to find the concept of both is monetary controllers. This research uses qualitative method of historical approach, by using past data to understand the events that took placeat the moment. The concept of zakat is worship for Muslims to get closer to God and purify the wealth. Meanwhile, jizya is required from non-Muslims as a form of obedience to the government which guarantees their lives in an Islamic state. Moreover both can affect state's monetary. Because when a Muslim pays zakat, it will increase wealth distribution (aggregate demand), as a result, the recipient becomes prosperous, with the assumption that they will invest. This investment will shift the demand for money (aggregate supply) so that the number of goods and services also grow. Meanwhile, jizya is distributed to government operations including security, so that security can also increase public confidence in carrying out real economic activities. Therefore, if zakat and jizya are managed properly, they will keep inflation down. Moreover, it can even eliminate the economic crisis and improve people’s welfare.

Abstract

The challenges of waqf management in the contemporary era require a paradigm shift that is not solely oriented toward economic aspects, but also integrates spiritual and social values in Islam. In this context, Islamic boarding schools (pesantren) have strategic potential as institutions that develop productive waqf based on Islamic values. This study aims to analyze the role of ukhuwah Islamiyah values embedded in the Panca Jiwa of Pondok Modern Darussalam Gontor in managing waqf assets. This research employs a qualitative method with a case study approach to explore the implementation of these values within the institutional context. The results indicate that ukhuwah Islamiyah functions as both a philosophical and practical foundation in waqf asset management, as reflected in the establishment of strong solidarity among the waqf board, institutional leaders, teachers, students, and alumni. These values contribute to the creation of a fair, transparent, and sustainable distribution system of waqf returns. Furthermore, the internalization of ukhuwah Islamiyah strengthens social cohesion and supports the sustainability of collective waqf asset management and development. These findings suggest that the integration of Islamic values in waqf management not only reinforces spiritual dimensions but also enhances the effectiveness and sustainability of waqf asset management within Islamic boarding school institutions.

Abstract

Inequality in the distribution of social assistance has become a chronic problem in Indonesia. To overcome this, a more effective mechanism is needed in identifying the most vulnerable groups of people so that assistance is really on target. Imam Shafi'i's thoughts on the distribution of zakat have made a significant contribution. His views on the object of zakat and its distribution mechanism are still very relevant to this day. This study aims to examine the concept of zakat in Imam Shafi'i's thinking and explore its potential application in increasing the effectiveness of the social assistance distribution system. This study uses a qualitative method with a literature study approach. Primary data is obtained from books by Imam Shafi'i, while secondary data comes from various literature related to zakat and social assistance. The findings of the study show that the concept of zakat of Imam Shafi'i emphasizes on principles such as the Principle of Equity (al-'Adalah), the Principle of Adequacy (al-Kifayah), the Principle of Proximity (al-Qarabah), the Principle of Usefulness (al-Maslahah), the Principle of Priority (al-Awlawiyyah), the Principle of Sustainability (al-Istimrariyyah), the Principle of Transparency (al-Syafafiyyah), and the Principle of Convenience (al-Taysir). The principles outlined by Imam Shafi'i can be a guide in designing a social assistance system that is more effective, fair, and in accordance with Islamic values.

Abstract

Waqf experiences significant developments every year. At the same time, transparency and accountability remain crucial challenges related to waqf in Indonesia. This study aims to identify the key characteristics of blockchain-based waqf governance and propose a relevant governance model in the Indonesian. The digitalization of waqf through blockchain technology offers significant opportunities to enhance transparency and accountability in waqf governance in Indonesia. To identify characteristics and propose a relevant model in the Indonesian context, a Delphi-Likert method was used, involving eleven respondents comprising academics, regulators, and practitioners in the waqf and blockchain fields. The results indicate that the most important aspects for blockchain integration are strengthening the database system, collecting, and managing waqf. The majority of respondents believe blockchain needs to be implemented immediately, with a preference for hybrid and public networks. Furthermore, a limited open ecosystem is seen as the most realistic form of governance because it balances the need for transparency with the protection of the institution's internal data. This study contributes theoretically to the literature on Islamic social finance and practically provides recommendations for an integrated governance model for waqf institutions in Indonesia.

Abstract

Mathematics self-confidence is an important affective aspect influencing students’ achievement in mathematics learning. However, measuring students’ mathematics self-confidence requires valid and reliable instruments to ensure accurate measurement results. This study aimed to analyze the quality of mathematics self-confidence instruments for senior high school students using the Rasch Model. This research employed the Systematic Literature Review (SLR) method guided by the PRISMA 2020 framework through the stages of identification, screening, eligibility, and inclusion. Article searches were conducted using Google Scholar, Scopus, and ERIC databases with the assistance of Publish or Perish and Mendeley applications. The articles were selected based on inclusion and exclusion criteria with a publication range from 2021-2025. A total of 30 articles met the criteria, consisting of 18 Sinta-indexed journals (Sinta 2-Sinta 4), 7 Scopus-indexed international journals, and 5 ERIC-indexed journals. The research subjects in the selected studies involved senior high school students aged 15-18 years from SMA, MA, and SMK levels. The findings indicated that most instruments had good psychometric quality, with items meeting the Rasch Model fit criteria, high reliability, and satisfactory unidimensionality. However, several studies still identified misfit items and incomplete Differential Item Functioning (DIF) analysis. Therefore, the Rasch Model is recommended for developing more valid and reliable mathematics self-confidence instruments for senior high school students.
