Abstract

This study aims to examine the implementation of Arabic language teaching at SDIT Qurrota A’yun Ponorogo, with particular attention to instructional methods and challenges encountered in the learning process. Employing a qualitative descriptive approach, the study involved four informants consisting of one school principal and three Arabic language classroom teachers. Classroom observations were conducted in Grades 4, 5, and 6 to capture authentic instructional practices. Data sources comprised primary data obtained from in-depth interviews and direct classroom observations, and secondary data derived from relevant educational documents. Data were analyzed descriptively by Miles and Huberman’s Method to provide a comprehensive portrayal of the instructional context. The findings indicate that Arabic language instruction at SDIT Qurrota A’yun Ponorogo is implemented through an interactive and supportive learning environment that accommodates students’ psychological and cognitive development. Instruction emphasizes the acquisition of basic Arabic language skills using student-centered strategies, including educational games, group activities, and the use of instructional media to enhance comprehension and retention. Nevertheless, variations in students’ learning abilities emerge as a major challenge, particularly in reading and writing skills, necessitating differentiated instructional support. This study contributes new empirical insights into Arabic language instruction at the Islamic primary school level by demonstrating how the integration of Qur’anic reading reinforcement, interactive pedagogy, and adaptive classroom strategies can effectively support early Arabic language acquisition.

Abstract

Hiyung chili is a horticultural commodity with high economic value, but its productivity still fluctuates due to cultivation constraints and dependence on synthetic chemical fertilizers. This activity aims to increase farmer capacity and plant growth of Hiyung chili through the application of liquid organic fertilizer (LOF) based on banana peel waste enriched with Trichoderma sp. The activity was carried out in Sungai Hanyar Village using a Participatory Action Research (PAR) approach through socialization, training, practice, and field mentoring. Evaluation was carried out using pre-test and post-test methods to measure changes in knowledge, attitudes, and skills of participants. The results showed an increase in farmer capacity from 50% to 84.67% after the activity. Improvements occurred in the understanding of LOF, acceptance of organic fertilizer technology, and technical skills in its manufacture. The application of LOF also showed better plant growth compared to the control. The use of banana peel waste as LOF has the potential to be an environmentally friendly and sustainable fertilizer alternative.

Abstract

Halal certification has been institutionalized in Indonesia as a legal obligation for business actors, including micro-enterprises, to ensure halal assurance and consumer protection. However, its implementation, particularly through the self-declare certification scheme, continues to encounter challenges at the local level. This study aims to analyze the perceptions and barriers experienced by micro-enterprises in fulfilling halal certification requirements from the perspective of Islamic Economic Law using a Sharia Quality Management approach. Employing a qualitative case study design, this research was conducted in Bungo Regency, Jambi Province, with data collected through in-depth interviews involving seven micro-enterprise actors in the food sector who were undergoing or had completed the self-declare certification process. The data were analyzed thematically by linking empirical findings to the principles of muamalah, maqāṣid al-sharīʿah, and rafʿ al-ḥaraj. The findings indicate a very high level of normative acceptance of mandatory halal certification as a religious and legal obligation; however, implementation remains constrained by structural barriers, including difficulties in verifying locally sourced raw materials, uncertainty in certification timelines extending up to approximately five months, limited digital accessibility due to rigid systems, and hidden costs in the form of time loss and administrative burdens. These conditions raise concerns regarding legal certainty, potential hardship, and inequality of access to legal compliance. This study concludes that the effectiveness of halal certification should be assessed not only through formal compliance but also through the quality of its implementation in ensuring justice, accessibility, and maṣlaḥah for micro-enterprises within the framework of Islamic Economic Law.

Abstract

Groundwater contamination by dissolved iron remains a widespread problem, particularly in decentralized water treatment systems, where simple, hydraulically efficient solutions are required. This study investigates a clay-based honeycomb monolith (CBM) as a structured adsorbent for Fe2+ removal from aqueous solutions, with simultaneous evaluation of adsorption and flow performance. The CBM was fabricated from natural clay and characterized using XRD, BET, SEM, and FTIR analyses. Batch adsorption experiments were conducted at Fe2+ concentrations of 2–9 mg L−1, and kinetic and isotherm models were applied. In addition, pressure drop measurements were performed under continuous-flow conditions using monoliths of varying heights. The CBM exhibited a specific surface area of 55 m2 g−1 and followed pseudo-second-order kinetics, while equilibrium data were best described by the Langmuir model with a maximum adsorption capacity of 0.229 mg g−1. Importantly, the monolithic structure exhibited low pressure drop (up to 18.54 kPa m−1), significantly lower than that of typical packed beds. The unique contribution of this work is to demonstrate that clay-based honeycomb monoliths can combine adsorption functionality with favorable hydraulic performance, highlighting their potential for practical iron removal in continuous-flow water treatment systems.

Abstract

The increase in development in every city, especially business centers, has not been able to provide sufficient parking space, so that thesurrounding road bodies are used for parking lots. If the road body is passed by a large enough amount of traffic, it can be ensured that parking onthe road body will cause traffic problems (speed decreases and travel time increases. The emergence of parking problems in big cities invites thepublic and experts to think and really understand the parking system. The concept and characteristics of parking, analysis of parking needs, geometric planning of parking lots, and parking policies are one of the ideas that can be implemented to deal with parking problems, especially inBaubau City. This study aims to examine the feasibility of the best, optimal parking location and have good prospects for the development of theBaubau City area, Examine the socio-cultural feasibility of the community in relation to the plan Determination of parking locations, both microscale (socio-cultural feasibility in selected locations) and macro scale (socio-cultural feasibility associated with Baubau City as a whole), Assessenvironmental feasibility at parking location points so that it does not environmental degradation occurs due to parking location planning,Examining economic aspects and taking into account the level of income at the time of operation of the parking system, estimating the investmentcost needed for the construction of the parking area and estimating the return on investment with rational and realistic assumptions. The datacollection method is carried out in two ways, namely secondary surveys and primary surveys.

Abstract

Research Background: Time management skills are considered an important learning competency frequently associated with students’ academic achievement, as they contribute to organizing learning activities, improving learning readiness, and supporting effective task completion. In Physical Education, the learning process emphasizes not only conceptual understanding but also practical skills involving physical activities. These distinctive learning characteristics raise questions regarding whether time management skills are related to PE learning outcomes in both cognitive and psychomotor domains. Research Objective: This study aims to examine the relationship between time management skills and PE learning outcomes among ninth-grade students of SMP Khadijah Surabaya. Methods: This study employed a quantitative approach with a correlational research design. The participants consisted of 154 students selected using a total sampling technique. Data were collected through a time management skills questionnaire and assessments of cognitive and psychomotor learning outcomes aligned with the school curriculum standards. Data analysis was conducted using the Spearman Rank correlation test to identify relationships between research variables. Results: The findings indicated no significant relationship between time management skills and cognitive learning outcomes (r = 0.018; p = 0.829), psychomotor learning outcomes (r = 0.002; p = 0.977), or overall, PE learning outcomes (r = 0.014; p = 0.862). Conclusion: Time management skills are not a primary factor influencing students’ PE learning achievement. PE learning outcomes are more strongly influenced by the quality of the learning process, physical activity motivation, practical experience, and a supportive learning environment that encourages active student engagement.
