Abstract

The concept of education that is relevant today uses an applicative contextual approach. Fazlur Rahman in understanding the Qur'an sees it in a historical context and tries to project it in a contemporary context. The purpose of this study is to find out the concept of fazlur Rahman education and its relevance in modern times. The research method used by library research uses historical and philosophical analysis of the concept of Fazlur Rahman Islamic Education. Fazlur Rahman, a Hanafi-born Muslim intellectual, was born in the traditional community. However, his thinking is not stuck in the tradition that he studied a lot of Western sciences.  Rahman is an Islamic modernist and reformer of Muslim education who contributes by offering more emphasized development strategies in areas that are part of the education system itself, as well as integrating the two sciences, so that there is no disintegration in education and there is no gap between sciences due to the dichotomy of education.  Monitoring Fazlur Rahman's concept of education can be concluded his school of thought is stuck on the religious rational.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the transformative values of prayer based on QS. Al-Mu'minun verses 1-2, which emphasize the importance of solemnity in the practice of worship. Prayer, as a fundamental pillar of Islam, serves not only as a ritual obligation, but also as a means to achieve spiritual and moral peace. In the modern context and the challenges of the digital era, this research explores how solemnity in prayer can shape the character and social interactions of Muslims. Using a literature study approach, this research collects and analyzes various sources to understand the impact of prayer on the formation of positive attitudes such as patience, honesty, and caring, which contribute to the creation of harmony in society. The results of the study show that the solemnity of prayer plays an important role in the formation of such positive attitudes, which are essential in facing contemporary social challenges. Amidst the challenges of the digital age that often distract from spiritual values, the practice of prayer faces various distractions that can reduce the quality of worship. Hence, innovative solutions such as prayer reminder apps and the establishment of supportive communities are essential for enhancing solemnity. The study concludes that prayer has significant transformative values that can be implemented in social life, and emphasizes the need to utilize technology wisely to strengthen the practice of worship and its relevance in the modern context. By understanding these values, it is hoped that Muslims will be able to better appreciate prayer in a modern context, thereby addressing contemporary social challenges and strengthening relationships between individuals in society.

Abstract

This research aims to determine the typology of Al-Quran memorization application models and their effectiveness in learning Al-Quran tahfidz. The research method used in this research is Systematic Literature Review (SLR). SLR is a method used to comprehensively investigate relevant literature to understand the status of existing research on a particular topic. The data sources used come from Scopus and Semantic Scholar from 2019-2024 using the Publish and Perish (PoP) application. The results of this research found that there are 3 tahfidzul Quran application models: Voice Technology-Based Model, Gamification-Based Model and Modular-Based Model. Regarding effectiveness, it was found that the Voice Technology Based Model was still less effective. Meanwhile, the Gamification-Based Model has been proven to be effective in supporting learning. As for the Modular Based Model, there are those that have been proven to be effective in supporting memorizing learning of the Koran and there are also those that have not been proven because they are still in the needs exploration study stage. Further studies are needed regarding the challenges and obstacles as well as strategies for their use so that the development of the Tahfidz Al-Quran application model can be more effective in supporting the Al-Quran learning process.

Abstract

Islamic education in Indonesia must continue to always develop to keep up with the times so as not to be left behind. The development of Islamic education was influenced by several thoughts from educational scientists and clerics in Indonesia, one of whom was Prof. KH. Tholha Hasan). In his view, education is not only limited to Islamic labels or Islamic institutions, such as Islamic boarding schools or madrasas, nor is it limited to learning Islamic religious sciences such as monotheism, hadith interpretation, fiqh, and tasawuf. However, Islamic education includes all activities, vision, mission, institutions, curriculum, methodology, teaching and learning processes, educational human resources, an educational environment that is inspired and based on Islamic teachings and values. Muhammad Tholha Hasan's thoughts on Islamic education belong to the construction of thought that has been put forward, namely ethical humanism or education that humanizes himself and other humans, all of which is carried out with a framework of moral foundations so as to give birth to a world colored by civilization

Abstract

Filsafat ilmu memungkinkan kita untuk memahami metode pencapaian pengetahuan dalam tasawuf yang tidak hanya mengandalkan akal, tetapi juga hati dan intuisi. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis dan mendeskripsikan perspektif filsafat ilmu tasawuf yang berfokus pada epistemologi, ontologi, dan aksiologi. Pendekatan dalam penelitian ini menggunakan studi kepustakaan, dalam penelitian ini tidak terdapat lokasi penelitian, dimana seluruh data diambil melalui buku, jurnal dan dokumen yang berkaitan dengan tema penelitian. teknik pengumpulan data dalam penelitian ini menggunakan dokumentasi, teknik analisis data dengan reduksi data, penyajian data, dan penarikan kesimpulan. Hasil penelitian ini dapat diuratakan, pertama tasawuf adalah salah satu aspek yang ada di dalam agamaIslam yang memiliki epistemologi tersendiri, yaitu epistemology irfani. Kedua, tasawuf tidak melulu hanya menggunakan epistemologi irfani saja namun juga menggunakan epitemologi burhani dan bayani. Hal ini terlihat terutama dalam tasawuf falsafi. Ketiga, tasawuf mempunyai nilai guna untuk menyelesaikan permasalahan kemasyarakatan seperti dekadensi moral dan sikap intoleransi dalam beragama. Untuk itu tasawuf harus difahami sertadicari kebenarannya dengan tiga perspektif; filosofis, sosio-historis, dan spiritual-mistikal.

Abstract

Islamic education is often perceived as less relevant to contemporary demands due to its textual and normative approach. This research seeks to explore the rational perspectives of religious-rational Islamic thinkers regarding the compatibility of the Islamic education system in the 21st century, focusing on the scholars classified by Jawwad Ridla; Ikhwan Al-Shafa', Al-Farabi, Ibn Miskawaih, and Ibn Sina. Each thinker will be examined for their contributions to the Islamic education paradigm. This literature review aims to trace manuscripts, articles, and books related to the rationality of these thinkers and their views on the Islamic education system in the 21st century. The findings reveal the religious-rational epistemology of Islamic education and the perspectives of these thinkers on the compatibility of the Islamic education system with 21st-century needs. These four religious-rational Islamic thinkers collectively provide comprehensive insights into an Islamic education system that can be deemed appropriate for the current century. The implications of this research could enrich the discourse on modern Islamic thought by bridging traditional religious views with rational, modern approaches, thereby identifying Islamic universal values that remain relevant, applicable, and competitive in addressing the challenges of the 21st century and supporting the evolution of Islamic thought amidst contemporary dynamics.

Abstract

AbstractHasyim Asy'ari is better known as a cleric who transformed Islamic boarding school education, as well as being a fighter. Hasyim Asy'ari turned Tebuireng into a model Islamic boarding school for Islamic boarding schools throughout Indonesia. By using relevant literature data from the book Adab al-Alim wa al-Muta'allim by Hasyim Asy'ari, this research uses library research by collecting information through documentary methods. In the book Directions for Competency of the Indonesian Generation Towards a Golden Indonesia 2045 prepared by the National Education Standards Agency (BNSP), Indonesia will celebrate its 100th anniversary of independence in 2045. Indonesia will experience a golden age at that time. Education needs to be organized as a "Garden that Excites", "Garden that Grows", and "Garden that Strengthens", in accordance with the ideals of Ki Hajar Dewantara. Because there are no castes based on intelligence (ranking), all students feel safe and comfortable in the "Education Park". Each student feels valued for their individuality and uniqueness in the park. It is in gardens like this that humans mature into civilized creatures. His contribution of thought, whether in the form of works, or his work in establishing Islamic boarding schools and the Nahdlatul Ulama organization has proven his work and is valid evidence to attribute to him the figure of Indonesian Islamic education.  As part of a conservative traditional education figure, Hasyim Asy'ari's contribution to educational thought was enormous to the journey of education, especially Islamic boarding school education. Hasyim Asy'ari's thoughts are very relevant to national education issues across eras and are suitable to be adopted in preparing Indonesia's golden generation in the future.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan menggali pemahaman tentang penerapan Madzhab Teori Belajar Behavioristik dalam kegiatan pembelajaran bahasa arab. Kajian ini dilakukan dengan menelaah berbagai buku dan artikel ilmiah untuk meghasilkan rumusan penelitian yang lebih menyeluruh. Dalam kehidupan sehari-hari, memperoleh pengetahuan merupakan kebutuhan manusia. Di dunia pendidikan terdapat beragam teori yang dapat dimanfaatkan untuk menunjang perolehan pengetahuan, salah satunya teori belajar behavioristik. Oleh karena itu, penelitian ini menitikberatkan pada implementasi teori tersebut dalam praktik pembelajaran agar dapat dipahami dan diterapkan dengan tepat. Dengan mengkaji secara mendalam pokok-pokok pemikiran, tokoh, perkembangan, serta uji coba yang berkaitan dengan teori behavioristik, diharapkan penelitian ini dapat memberikan kontribusi dalam pengembangan pembelajaran bahasa arab.

Abstract

Perkembangan ekologi media digital telah mengubah cara manusia berinteraksi, berkomunikasi, dan memaknai nilai-nilai kehidupan, termasuk nilai-nilai keislaman. Perubahan ini memunculkan persoalan baru bagi pendidikan Islam: bagaimana nilai-nilai Islam dapat diinternalisasi secara mendalam dalam ruang digital yang sarat hiburan, algoritma, dan budaya instan. Artikel ini bertujuan mengonstruksi secara teoretis proses internalisasi nilai Islam dalam konteks ekologi media digital dengan menelaah keterpaduan antara teori Internalisasi Nilai (Rokeach, Muhaimin, Abuddin Nata) dan teori Ekologi Media (Marshall McLuhan, Neil Postman). Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif ‘’library research’’ dengan metode analisis konseptual, yaitu menelaah gagasan, teori, dan literatur relevan untuk menemukan hubungan logis antara konsep nilai Islam dan dinamika media digital. Data diperoleh melalui studi pustaka terhadap karya-karya utama para tokoh teori nilai dan teori media, kemudian dianalisis secara interpretatif guna mengidentifikasi pola internalisasi nilai dalam lingkungan digital. Hasil kajian menunjukkan bahwa internalisasi nilai Islam di ruang digital berlangsung melalui tiga tahapan utama: pembingkaian makna (meaning framing), interaksi simbolik antar pengguna, dan habituasi nilai dalam aktivitas digital sehari-hari. Temuan ini menegaskan bahwa media digital bukan sekadar saluran informasi, tetapi ekosistem simbolik yang turut membentuk kesadaran, perilaku, dan spiritualitas pengguna. Dengan demikian, ekologi media digital menjadi arena baru pendidikan nilai Islam yang menuntut literasi digital, etika bermedia, dan kesadaran spiritual yang reflektif.

Abstract

The development of digital technology has made gadgets an inseparable part of education, bringing both positive impacts and challenges for students' character formation. This study aims to analyze the similarities and differences between progressivism and reconstructionism perspectives on gadget utilization, and integrate them with Islamic education philosophy values. A qualitative research method with library research approach was used through descriptive-comparative analysis of relevant literature sources. The results show that progressivism views gadgets as tools for individual development through active learning, while reconstructionism emphasizes gadget's transformative function for social change. Integration of these two perspectives within Islamic education philosophy framework produces a conceptual framework that balances technological advancement with value-based character building. This study concludes the importance of philosophical approach in viewing gadget utilization to ensure not only pedagogical effectiveness but also moral and spiritual meaningfulness.
