Abstract

ABSTRACT Based on data the World Health Organization (WHO) explain that one of the 10 deaths in adults are caused by smoking. Indonesia is the 3rd highests number of smoker in the world.Adolescent victims of exploitation largest cigarette industry. Adolescence identical as a free human. Therefore teenagers always do all the desired activities. Many teenagers who like to do things like smoking prohibited. The research aims to determine the factors that influence smoking behavior of students. Type of research is descriptive analytic survey design Cross Sectional Study. Population in the research were 63 students and all of sample. Result of data analysis using chi-square and of the 8 existing variables obtained 6 related variables is sex ρ=0,0001 , knowledge ρ=0,009, age ρ=0,099, attitude ρ=0,008, advertising ρ=0,009 and peer group ρ=0,0001.Based on multivariate analysis of the variables that most influence is variable peer group on smoking behavior with logistic regression test value of Ex (B)=41,600, and of 63 students there are 25 who smoke, 24 sex male and 4 female. Expected to cooperate with the school to parent to provide information about the factors that influencesmoking behavior, especially peer group factor (enviroment) that play a role in influencing students behavior and for adolescents should be more careful in getting along in daily life so as not to be affected by adverse behavior. Abstract

Abstract To control the relatively high number of people the government is planning a national family planning program. IUD is a contraceptive option that is effective safe and comfortable for many women and high effectiveness in preventing pregnancy. In the village Sabungan contraceptive use is still low at only 0.08%. This research is dekskriptif by using factor analysis method eksplonatory application where the entire population of EFA mother who does not use contraceptives IUD in the Village River District Right Sabungan South Labuhanbatu district is 1290 EFA mother. While the sample used in this study are numbered 60 mothers EFA. From the research, there are 6 variables memngaruhi low use of contraceptive IUD (knowledge, attitudes, husband's support, the support of health, social, cultural, economic). After the due diligence factor in only 5 variables that can be analyzed further the knowledge, attitudes, husband support, support of health workers, the economy. And formed into 2 (two) external factors: the first factor yitu husband's support, the support of health professionals, and the second internal factor is the knowledge, attitudes, economics. It is therefore expected to provide FP correct and clear information about contraceptive IUD based on external and internal factors that can increase the IUD contraceptive users. Abstract

Adolescents are those who are experiencing changes from childhood to adulthood. Psychologically adolescent tend to have a high curiosity and wanting to try new things. Issues of sexuality and reproductive health that is taboo to talk about, makes adolescents tend to want to experiment so teens be at risk on premarital sexual behavior. This research aims to know the factors associated with premarital sexual on young girls who live at the boarding house in Lingkungan V Kelurahan Padang Bulan Kecamatan Medan Baru in 2013. This research has been conducted with cross-sectional a analitic-descriptive. Sampling was done by a systematic random sampling with sample size is 86 young girls. Data were analyzed by chi square test with α 0.05. The results showed that premarital sexual relations conducted by 45 young girls (52,3%) who  having had sexual intercourse before marriage in boarding house,  from 45 young girls who living in the boarding house, it was found that 27 young girls (60,0%)  who did not live with owner boarding house. It was found that the factors associated significantly with premarital sexual are  knowledge (p<0.001), attitudes (p<0.001), resources information exposure (p<0.001), boarding house environment (p<0.001). From the results of the research are expected to headman of Lingkungan V Kelurahan Padang Bulan to improve monitoring, especially teenage don’t have owners live together  to make more explicit regulations, guests must report 1 x 24 hours to prevent the things that are not desired and to the owner who does not particularly boarding house supervised in order to provide a special room for guests.     Key words      : premarital sexual, boarding house, young girls

Abstract

ABSTRACT According to National Family Planning Coordination Board obtained that 51 % teenagers in Jakarta, Bogor, Tangerang, Depok, Bekasi (JABODETABEK) have performed intercourse before marriage. The same problem is also happened other cities in indonesia such as 54% in Surabaya, 47% in Bandung, 52% in Medan. The research aims to know the correlation of knowledge and attitude in reproduction health on teenagers with sexual behaviour at Bayu Pertiwi High School in Sunggal in year 2014. This research is an analytic descriptive using Cross Sectional Study approach. The population in this research were all students of Bayu Pertiwi High School from grade X, XI, XII, and the number of responden were 114 students. Giving questionaire was the methode to collect some data, and then conducting statistic experiment using Chi-Square test with level of significance Alpha = 0,05 From bivariate analysis was obtained the results that knowledge of reproduction health correlates sexual behaviour on teenagers with p value= 0,001 and attitude on sexual behaviour on teenagers with p value= 0,007 and from the variable of knowledge and intercourse attitude with sexual behaviour on teenagers, it is very important to improve their knowledge about reproduction health and intercourse.

Abstract

ABSTRACT Maternal Mortality Rate (MMR) is one indicator of the health status of the community. In the developing nations, maternal morbidity and mortality to be a problem for a long time. Maternal deaths mainly occur during pregnancy and childbirth. Based on the background of the problem and the results of preliminary studies in the public health centers of Medan Deli K1 coverage data obtained in August 2014 at 62.5%, whereas only 60.3% K4 coverage. The achievement of Minimum Service Standards (MSS) that the health field K1 and K4 coverage in pregnant women was 95% in 2015 but this targets are yet to be achieved. This is due to very low interest of pregnant women to carry out medical examinations to health workers in the context of early detectionof pregnancy danger signs. This research aims to understand the relationship between knowledge and attitudes towards the actions of pregnant women about early detection of danger signs of pregnancy in the PublicHealthCenters of Medan Deli 2015. Type of research was descriptive analytical with cross-sectional design. To see the correlation between knowledge and attitudes of pregnant women with early detection measures the danger signs of pregnancy in the Public HealthCenters of Medan Deli 2015. The sample in this researchwas had the third trimester pregnant women at high risk of pregnancy and childbirth. The results of chi-square test showed that the independent variables (knowledge and attitude) significantly (associated) with detection measures the danger signs of pregnancy (p = 0.001).Based on the results of research and discussion was conclude that there is a relationship between knowledge and attitudes of pregnant women with actions danger signs of pregnancy.Suggestions are that pregnant women to antenatal health care on a regular basis to allow the detection of risk factors that affect the health of the mother and baby.

Abstract

ABSTRACT Tetanus is primary cause of maternal and neonatal mortality .The coverage of TT immunization in Health centers Maga sub district of Lembah Sorik Marapi is lower. In 2014,of the 210 pregnant women, TT1 immunization coverage was 34(16,2%) and TT2’s was 25 (11,9%) This study aims to determine the relationship between knowledge and attitude with Tetanus Toxoid Immunization in the sub district Health centers Maga Lembah Sorik Marapi, Mandailing Natal. This type of this research is observational study with cross-sectional design. Samples based on total sampling are all pregnant women with gestational age more than 8 months in the working area health centers Maga as many as 42 people. Analysis of data using chi-square statistical test using 95% confident level (α=0,05) The result showed that there was a correlation between knowledge (p=0,027) and attitude (p=0,008)of pregnant women with TT immunization for pregnant women in sub-district Health centers Maga Lembah Sorik Marapi Mandailing Natal. Public health center is expected to boost the function of promotion to increase public knowledge about TT immunization and improve health service so as to improve immunization coverage. Abstract

ABSTRACTDysmenorrhea is pain in the abdomen and pelvic area experienced by women as a result of her menstrual period. Dysmenorrhoea is one of the most common gynecological problems experienced by women of all ages. The incidence of dysmenorrhoea in the world is very large, approximately 50% of all women in the world suffer from dysmenorrhoea. This study aims to determine the correlation between knowledge and attitudes of young women with the action in the treatment of dysmenorrhoea in Junior High School Kualuh district Labuhan Batu Utara 2015.This type of research is a survey by using explanatory research approach. The population in the study were all students who had as many as 53 people dysmenorrhoea class I, II, III, and made the total sample. Data was obtained through interviews using a questionnaire and analyzed by chi-square test.From the results of the chi-square test (α <0.05), indicating there is a significant relationship between knowledge and action in the treatment of dysmenorrhoea (p = 0.005). And test results showed no relationship between attitude and action in the treatment of dysmenorrhoea (p = 0.045).Expected that the students are always looking for health information, especially in the treatment of dysmenorrhoea through electronic media, textbooks on reproductive health, especially the health of adolescents in a school environment. Abstract

ABSTRACT The early complementary feeding is foods or drinks that contain nutrients given to infants under 6 months of age. The early complementary feeding at this time will reduce the coverage of exclusive breastfeeding. The coverage of exclusive breastfeeding in the Puskesmas Teluk Karang was still low about 32,8% (in 2014) while the national target was 80%. It is suspected related to factors of social culture and family support. The purpose of this study was to understand factors influenced the mothers in giving the early complementary feeding in working area of UPTD Puskesmas Teluk Karang, Subdistrict of Bajenis, City of Tebing Tinggi in 2015. Type of this research was analytical observation study with the cross sectional design. The research was done since November 2013 until January 2015. Population in this research were all mothers who had infant aged between 7-12 months in the working area of UPTD Puskesmas Teluk Karang, Subdistrict of Bajenis, City of Tebing Tinggi which was being as samples as 106 mothers. The multiple logistic regression is used to analyze the data. The result of the research showed that the early complementary feeding is high enough i.e 89,6%. From the multivariate analysis, it was proved that the factors influenced the early complementary feeding are the social culture (p=0,008) and the family support (p<0,001). The dominant factor influenced this early complementary feeding was family support (coefficient of B=3,021). It’s suggested that breastfeeding mothers are not easily influenced by the social culture in the communities and families are expected to provide support so that mothers still exclusively breastfed, by fulfilling the nutritional needs during lactation so that it produced the qualified breastfeeding in the sufficient quantities. Abstract

Dysmenorrhea is pain in the abdomen and pelvic area experienced by women as a result of her menstrual period. Dysmenorrhoea is one of the most common gynecological problems experienced by women of all ages. The incidence of dysmenorrhoea in the world is very large, approximately 50% of all women in the world suffer from dysmenorrhoea. This study aims to determine the correlation between knowledge and attitudes of young women with the action in the treatment of dysmenorrhoea in Junior High School Kualuh district Labuhan Batu Utara 2015.   This type of research is a survey by using explanatory research approach. The population in the study were all students who had as many as 53 people dysmenorrhoea class I, II, III, and made the total sample. Data was obtained through interviews using a questionnaire and analyzed by chi-square test.   From the results of the chi-square test (α <0.05), indicating there is a significant relationship between knowledge and action in the treatment of dysmenorrhoea (p = 0.005). And test results showed no relationship between attitude and action in the treatment of dysmenorrhoea (p = 0.045).   Expected that the students are always looking for health information, especially in the treatment of dysmenorrhoea through electronic media, textbooks on reproductive health, especially the health of adolescents in a school environment. And to the school in order to involve students in a health seminar activities.   Keywords: Knowledge, Attitude, Dysmenorrhea

Abstract

MANOVA is an extension of the Analysis of Variance (ANOVA), which have long been widely used in various fields of science. Technically, MANOVA can be interpreted as a statistical method to explore the relationship between several independent variables are categorical type nominal or ordinal scale with multiple dependent variables are type numerical interval or ratio scale. This research aims to determine whether there are differences in length of study and student achievement index based on admission selection and student activity which was followed by regular student 2009 Public Health Faculty University of Sumatera Utara in 2013. This research was conducted by survey method with a correlation study is to find out relationship between the dependent and independent variables in a group of subjects. The results of the analysis using the Two-Way MANOVA test for admission selection variable at the significance level (α) of 0,05 indicates that there are significant differences on variables length of study and student achievement index which is tested simultaneously based on admission selection regular students 2009 Public Health Faculty University of Sumatera Utara with a significance value of Pillai’s Trace is 0,013. For a student activity variables at significance level (α) of 0,05 indicates that there is no real difference on variables length of study and student achievement index which is tested simultaneously by the activity of the regular students 2009 Public Health Faculty University of Sumatera with a significance value of Pillai’s Trace is 0,505 at 5% confidence level. For other studies were suggested to implement Two-Way MANOVA to test the effect of a set of independent variables to a set of dependent variables simultaneously.     Keyword: Two-Way MANOVA, Pillai’s Trace, student
