Abstract

The increasing integration of digital technology in teacher education has reshaped how future teachers engage with knowledge and learning. This study explores how pre-service primary mathematics teachers conceptualize knowledge within digital learning environments and examines the relationship between their epistemic beliefs and digital engagement. A quantitative descriptive design was employed involving 34 undergraduate students enrolled in a primary teacher education program at an Indonesian university. Data were collected using a 20-item questionnaire adapted from Schommer’s Epistemological Beliefs framework and contextualized to reflect digital learning experiences. The instrument measured beliefs concerning the certainty, simplicity, and source of knowledge, as well as perceptions of learning ability and learning processes. Responses were analyzed using descriptive statistics. The findings indicate that participants predominantly hold constructivist-oriented epistemic beliefs, viewing knowledge as interconnected, evolving, and shaped through reflection and experience. Digital technology was generally perceived not merely as an instructional aid but as a medium that supports pedagogical thinking and professional growth. Statements reflecting growth-oriented learning and independent knowledge construction received strong agreement, whereas fixed and authority-dependent beliefs were largely rejected. These results suggest that epistemic sophistication may support more reflective and meaningful digital engagement. The study highlights the importance of integrating epistemological development with digital competence in teacher education to foster adaptive and reflective future educators.

Abstract

Speaking is one of the most difficult areas of EFL students and despite the common knowledge of storytelling as a useful tool, there is little research on the particular effects of storytelling on fluency, accuracy, and understanding in junior high schools in Indonesia. The purpose of the study is to examine how eighth-grade students at SMP Kristen Bala Keselamatan Palu are influenced in terms of speaking ability by storytelling. The quasi-experimental design was applied, which included pre-test and post-test control groups, 60 students were used in the study and were chosen using the cluster random sampling technique, 30 students were assigned the experimental group and 30 students were assigned the control group. Oral speaking tests were used to gather data which were rated using an analytical rubric and the outcomes showed that the experimental group had a higher mean gain score (4.17) than the control group (1.97) with a significant difference (p < 0.05) and large effect size (Cohen d = -1.10). These results suggest that storytelling can be not only statistically, but also pedagogically significant, as it promotes fluency, confidence, and general communicative proficiency of students in EFL classrooms.

Abstract

Burnout is a psychological condition characterized by persistent negative feelings, often accompanied by decreased motivation, especially in the learning context. Final‑year nursing students are at high risk of physical, emotional, and mental exhaustion due to academic pressure and thesis completion. This study aimed to describe the burnout level among final‑semester Nursing students. A quantitative descriptive design was used. The sample consisted of 87 students selected by purposive sampling. Data was collected using the BAPER (Student Burnout in Thesis Completion) questionnaire. Univariate analysis was performed to obtain frequency distributions. Almost all respondents (74.7%, n=65) had moderate burnout, while 25.3% (n=22) had mild burnout. No student had severe burnout. Most respondents were aged 20–24 years (98.9%) and female (70.1%). Many final‑year nursing students experienced burnout at a moderate level. Institutions are advised to provide structured academic and psychological support, time management training, and stress management programs to prevent burnout escalation

Abstract

Objective: The objective of this study is to identify and examine the philosophy of academic leadership at STAI Rasyidiyah Khalidiyah Amuntai, which is based on the cultural values of Islamic boarding schools. Methodology: This study employs a qualitative approach using a case study design. Sampling techniques utilised in the study included targeted sampling and snowball sampling. The research instruments used were observation, interviews, and document review. Data analysis was conducted using an inductive conceptualisation approach. Findings: The results of this study indicate that the leadership philosophy at STAI Rasyidiyah Khalidiyah Amuntai encompasses (1) the nature of the philosophy, which includes dedication, sincerity, blessings, and flexibility in facing challenges. (2) Sources of the philosophy, derived from social traditions, the culture of the surrounding community, the founders (muassis), leaders, teachers (mu'allim), key figures within the foundation, the vision and mission, and leadership figures. (3) Internalisation of the philosophy, the internalisation of the philosophy is an ongoing process, utilising various approaches to internalise the leadership philosophy, practices within the boarding school and campus, and platforms such as meetings and other ceremonial events also play a significant role. (4) Philosophical awareness: awareness and appreciation of the foundational (primordial) philosophy; this philosophy is actively applied in operations; and the boarding school culture forms an integral part of campus life, influencing philosophical awareness. (5) Development of philosophy, no development (the entire academic community has adhered to the institution’s philosophy from the outset); the existing social philosophy remains strong and forms the basis for all organisational decisions and actions, and existing leadership figures reinforce the values of the leadership philosophy. (6) Documentation of the philosophy: the leadership philosophy is not documented in writing and is not physically represented within the organisation’s facilities; furthermore, this philosophy has not been comprehensively studied in relation to various aspects of the organisation’s operations.

Abstract

Code blue is one of the emergency procedure codes that must be activated immediately if someone is found in a condition of cardiac respiratory arrest in the hospital area. code blue response team or code blue team is a team formed by the hospital in charge of responding to the condition of the code blue in the hospital area. This study aims to determine the correlation of HR, Facilities, Response time, and SPO factors with code blue management in the hospital. This research is a quantitative research with descriptive analysis method with factor design test, a sample of 33 code blue teams. The results showed that there was a correlation and influence of factors (sub-variables) of human resources, facilities, response time and standard operating procedures with code blue governance in hospitals. The strength of the factors in the management of code blue in hospitals in a sequence is the facility then continued with the response time factor, human resources and finally the standard operational procedure factors for the code blue team's management in emergency patients.

Abstract

This study examines the role of Sheikh Abdul Djalil bin Musa Rifai in the spread of Sufi orders (tarekat) in Cianjur, West Java, during the period 1887–1942. The research employs the historical method through literature review, manuscript analysis, and interviews with local religious figures and historians. The findings indicate that Syeikh Abdul Djalil bin Musa Rifa’i contributed significantly to the development of Sufi traditions through scholarly and spiritual networks connected to Syekh Abdul Karim al-Bantani. His teachings were associated with several mu‘tabarah Sufi orders, including Rifā‘iyyah, Syattariyyah, Sammaniyyah, Qadiriyyah, and Naqshbandiyyah. The term “Kubrawiyah” found in local manuscripts is interpreted as a local designation for a spiritual tradition rather than a new Sufi orders. The study concludes that his contribution was not limited to religious dissemination, but also extended to the formation of a cohesive and harmonious Muslim community in Cianjur. This research highlights the importance of local Sufi networks in shaping religious life and social cohesion in Indonesian Islamic history.
